Chapter Index

Raido Namiashi returned to the team with a frustrated expression.

He wasn’t upset about losing, because Uchiha Shisui’s demonstrated strength was indeed very high, and he was no match.

But he felt incredibly stifled by the loss; a formal Genin like him had been defeated by a student who had just entered the Ninja Academy, and so cleanly at that.

“This Uchiha Shisui is too strong; he even defeated a formal Genin. Even if it were Kakashi at the same age, he might not necessarily do better, right?”

“There’s also another possibility, that the opponent…”

Hearing the Ninja Academy students’ discussions about him, Raido Namiashi felt even more ashamed.

As soon as Raido Namiashi returned, he saw Asuma’s uncontrollable smile.

“Asuma, do you know something?” Raido Namiashi looked at Asuma with a suspicious expression.

Upon closer thought, something felt off.

Earlier, when Asuma pulled them in for special training, he had mentioned that Muzuki was his tutor, so it was possible Asuma knew there was a genius named Uchiha Shisui in Muzuki’s class.

    “Know what?” Asuma feigned ignorance.

“How would I know that first-year student was so powerful? He took care of you, Raido, in just a few moves.”

Hearing Asuma’s words, Raido Namiashi felt as if he had been struck by another arrow; it was truly embarrassing to be dealt with in a few moves by a first-year student.

“Everyone, quiet down.” Muzuki pressed his palm downwards, signaling for everyone to stop discussing.

“We have students from the first to Fourth Grade here, as well as some Genin who have already graduated. Everyone is a comrade from the same Village, and I hope you can get along harmoniously.”

“In a moment, I will conduct a strength test for you all, and then divide you into groups for special training. There will be three groups: Group A, Group B, and Group C. The three groups will receive different special training.” Muzuki answered Raido Namiashi’s previous question.

With so many students of different grades and some graduated Genin, Muzuki couldn’t teach everyone the same thing, so he chose to teach in groups.

Anyway, they were all in the same Training Ground. After he finished teaching one group, he would go to another, and with the assistance of Shadow Clone, he could completely teach the three groups as if they were three individual students.

The strength test was also very simple: it involved students demonstrating their proficiency in basic Ninja skills such as Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Shuriken throwing, and then the teachers would grade them.

Muzuki called over some teachers from the instructor class, and in the span of one class, he completed the grading and specific grouping for over three hundred students.

Muzuki positioned Group A as a Genin-level group, prepared for graduated Genin and excellent Ninja Academy students. The main special training content included Chakra control, physique and Taijutsu, and Body Flicker Technique.

Group B consisted of excellent students within the Academy, with main special training content being Three Body Technique, Chakra control, and physique and Taijutsu.

Group C was the group for ordinary students within the Academy. The training content was similar to Group B, but the material taught was shallower, and the training volume was relatively less.

Muzuki glanced at the Group A roster and immediately saw many familiar names.

Obito, Shisui, Might Guy, these few naturally went without saying. There were also Asuma, Kurenai Yuhi, Shiranui Genma, Shizune…

Those who could enter Group A, with the exception of Shisui, were basically either Genin or Fourth Grade students who had entered the grade rankings.

As for Group B, Muzuki only saw three familiar faces: Ebisu, Gekkō Hayate, and Rin Nohara.

Ebisu’s performance was a bit awkward; compared to others in Group B, his level was very good, but it was slightly inferior to Group A. Gekkō Hayate had just entered the third grade.

Anko, Kotetsu Hagane, and Izumo Kamizuki, the three difficult brothers, went to Group C together, because the definition of excellent and ordinary was scored according to Fourth Grade standards.

Although the three could control lightning in the first grade, by Fourth Grade standards, they were considered ordinary.

Muzuki first went to the area where Group A was located and said:

“Those of you who have completed the water-walking and tree-climbing training, stand on the right. Those who have only completed tree-climbing training, stand on the left. Those who haven’t completed either, stand in the middle.”

Most people walked to the left, a small number stood on the right, and a very small number stood in the middle.

Next, he had those on the left try tree-climbing, and those on the right try water-walking.

After observing the students training, Muzuki roughly understood the Chakra control level of the Group A students.

Obito, Asuma, Shisui, and Might Guy no longer needed to practice water-walking; everyone else still had to train.

“That’s not what completing the training means; you’ve only just grasped a bit of it.” Muzuki said to a student who was tree-climbing.

Next, Muzuki had Obito demonstrate what it truly meant to complete the tree-climbing and water-walking training.

Obito directly dashed up the large tree, then his feet stuck tightly to the branches, and he spun 360 degrees more than ten times, his soles still firmly adhered to the branches.

Following that, Obito also demonstrated freely moving on the water’s surface while being interfered with by a Water Dragon Bullet.

“Only when you reach this level can you say you’ve completed the training.” Muzuki said, pointing at Obito.

“Currently, only Asuma, Shisui, and Obito among you can achieve this level.”

Raido Namiashi, not believing it, went down to challenge it, but he started drinking water before even lasting three minutes.

“Asuma can?” Raido Namiashi felt Muzuki might have overestimated Asuma’s strength.

“Raido, don’t underestimate me! My Chakra control ability is very strong.” Asuma, seeing that his good brother didn’t believe him, also went down and showed off a bit.

“Why do I feel like Asuma has secretly gotten stronger…” Raido Namiashi wondered as he watched Asuma, as steady as an old dog amidst the splashes.

“Asuma, I feel like you’ve gotten even more impressive.” Kurenai Yuhi said honestly.

“Haha, actually, it’s just average, all basic skills.” Asuma heard Kurenai Yuhi’s praise, and the corners of his mouth, already turned up, couldn’t come down.

He instantly felt that the water he had drunk during Muzuki’s training before was not in vain.

“Chakra control ability is a mandatory course for Ninja. I hope that in two weeks, all of you will be able to stand on the right.” Muzuki said after demonstrating a few times to the Group A students.

Then Muzuki went to Group B and asked that question again.

However, the situation in Group B was different; only Ebisu stood on the right, most people stood in the middle, and a small number stood on the left.

Muzuki had them demonstrate their Chakra control level, which was much worse than Group A. Except for Ebisu, Muzuki had everyone else undergo tree-climbing training, while Ebisu continued to practice water-walking.

As for Group C, Muzuki did not continue to ask, but directly began to teach Group C Taijutsu.

Muzuki’s training plan for Group C was to exercise their physique and practice Taijutsu in the morning, and cultivate Three Body Technique in the afternoon. Once these two caught up, they could then proceed with Chakra control training.

Muzuki left a Shadow Clone in each group, while his main body patrolled back and forth between the three groups, demonstrating and correcting any student who was training incorrectly.

Soon, the morning passed, and Muzuki announced the end of class and the start of lunch break.
