Chapter Index

Shisui’s mood was a bit subtle as he looked at Obito, who seemed to be comforting him but had a mischievous grin on his face.

He wanted to say, ‘You comforted me well, no need next time,’ but decided against it.

Shisui decided to train a bit more, while Obito went back with Rin Nohara.

Although Obito and Rin Nohara weren’t going the exact same way, their paths overlapped for a considerable distance.

“Rin, how’s your Medical Ninjutsu training going?” Obito asked with a smile on the way back.

“It’s going smoothly. I feel like I’ve learned a lot of useful new knowledge, and now I can perform the most basic healing,” Rin Nohara replied.

“If you ever get injured in the future, Obito, you must come to me for treatment!” Rin Nohara said, a gentle smile gracing her lips.

Looking at Rin Nohara’s smile, Obito was momentarily lost in thought, as if he saw blooming flowers, then he scratched his head and chuckled, “Hehe, then I’ll trouble you in the future, Rin.”

“Treating you is certainly no trouble, but Obito, you also need to be careful not to get injured too often. Don’t neglect protecting yourself just because someone can treat you,” Rin Nohara said seriously, looking into Obito’s eyes.

    “Getting injured really hurts.”

“I’m Uchiha Obito, the strongest student in Fourth Grade! I won’t get injured that easily,” Obito said, patting his chest confidently.

“But Obito, you’ve never taken first place in actual combat for your grade, so you can’t be considered the strongest in Fourth Grade, right?” Rin Nohara reminded him.

“But I already defeated Guy during the summer special training, so it counts,” Obito said without changing his expression.

“Hmm, when you put it that way, it does make sense,” Rin Nohara thought for a moment and felt it wasn’t just him being stubborn.

“I hope you can keep it up, Obito. If you continue like this, you will definitely become an excellent Ninja!” Rin Nohara encouraged, clenching her fists.

Obito’s small face flushed slightly, his fighting spirit breaking through its limits. He planned to train for a while longer after returning home.

After reaching their separate paths, the two waved goodbye to each other.

“It would be great if I could be assigned to the same team as Rin after graduation,” Uchiha Obito smiled as he walked down the street, beautiful fantasies appearing in his mind.

He and Rin Nohara would train together, go on dangerous missions together. If Rin Nohara was in danger, he would be her hero. If he accidentally got injured, Rin Nohara would treat him with Medical Ninjutsu.

They would help each other complete various high-difficulty missions, eventually becoming a celebrated couple in the Ninja World.

Although it’s usually a three-person team, Obito didn’t care who the third person would be, as long as it wasn’t Kakashi.

He didn’t think it could be Kakashi, because Kakashi had already graduated years ago and already had his own teammates and sensei.

“Grandma, do you need my help?” Obito suddenly noticed an old lady who seemed to have fallen, and he quickly rushed forward to ask.

“My legs are a bit uncomfortable, child. Can you help me to the side to rest?” the old woman asked, frowning.

“Grandma, let me carry you to the hospital to get checked out. It wouldn’t be good if you injured a bone or something,” Obito said.

The elderly are more fragile, and a fall like this could very likely injure bones.

“Don’t worry, Grandma. Don’t let my size fool you, I’m a Ninja! Not to mention carrying just you, I could carry three more without a problem,” Obito said confidently.

“A Ninja, huh…” The old woman’s expression was still hesitant, a little reluctant to trouble Obito, a child.

However, under Obito’s enthusiastic and smiling persuasion, the old woman finally agreed. Obito immediately carried the old woman and dashed towards Konoha Hospital.

After taking the old woman to the hospital, Obito also asked for her home address so he could help notify her family.

Only after notifying the old woman’s family did Obito continue walking towards his home.

Obito hadn’t walked far when he saw an old man carefully descending stairs with a cane.

Without a word, Obito immediately ran forward, supported the old man, and safely helped him to the bottom of the stairs.

“You’re truly a good child, thank you,” the old man praised with a kind smile.

“It’s nothing, just helping out,” Obito said with a cheerful wave of his hand.

Soon after, Obito hadn’t walked much further when he saw an elderly person with a child, whose toy was stuck in a tree.

Obito gathered Chakra in his feet, and with two jumps, he was in the tree, retrieved the toy, and returned it to its owner.

“Big brother is amazing! Are you a Ninja?” the child said excitedly.

“Not a formal Ninja yet, but I’m almost there,” Obito replied with a simple smile.

Next, Obito encountered an old man carrying a large package on the road, and after helping the old man carry the heavy item home, Obito realized he had actually returned to the spot where he had parted ways with Rin Nohara.

By the time Obito returned home, it was already late, and the sky had completely darkened.

“I wanted to train for more time. I’ll practice for a bit and then rest,” Obito thought, looking at the time.

Although helping people wasted a lot of time, Obito didn’t feel regret. If he were to go back to the moment he parted ways with Rin Nohara, he would still take the same actions.

Training a little less wouldn’t have too much of an impact on him, but if he hadn’t taken the old woman to the hospital, something bad really might have happened to her.

Then Obito went to the courtyard and began his Breathing Technique training.

“Heat, burning, flames…” Obito inhaled large amounts of oxygen into his body while trying to comprehend the essence of Flame Breathing.

But something Obito hadn’t expected happened. He suddenly felt a sensation he had never experienced before; his body became hot, and the Chakra pathways and acupoints through which the airflow passed became warm.

Obito had a sudden idea and gathered Chakra in his palm, then performed Nature Transformation.

    Whoosh!

Instantly, a fist-sized flame burst forth from his palm. Obito could clearly feel the temperature emanating from that flame.

“The speed of flame conversion has increased!” Obito said in surprise.

He couldn’t see the specific Chakra values like Muzuki, but Obito noticed that the speed of his Nature Transformation just now was different from normal.

Obito thought for a moment, returned to normal breathing, stopped using the Breathing Technique, and gathered Chakra again. In the same amount of time, the flame on his palm was noticeably smaller this time.

“So, eating spicy food helps so much with training Flame Breathing?” Obito was both excited and surprised.

His current situation perfectly matched Muzuki’s description of Flame Breathing.

Obito wished he could go buy two chili peppers right now, munch on them, and then continue training.

The spiciness would be uncomfortable on both ends, but in order not to disappoint Rin Nohara and Muzuki, and to become an excellent Ninja, a brief period of pain was not unbearable.

The next day, Obito told Muzuki the good news of his progress.

Muzuki took a look with his appraisal ability, and what he saw was astonishing: the proficiency had directly soared from sixteen points to twenty-one points, successfully surpassing Might Guy’s nineteen points.
