12 Lightning Release: False Darkness (3k)

    Monday afternoon, Ninja Academy.

The homeroom teachers of each Class 1, Grade 1 had already reminded their students that theory classes would be held in the large lecture hall, so there was no embarrassing incident of a class not showing up for the first large lesson.

    “So many people.”

“Isn’t that Uchiha Shisui from Class 1, Grade 1?”

    “And from Class 4…”

Most of the students were attending such a large class for the first time, full of novelty and excitement as they discussed various things with their friends.

    Thump-thump!

“Everyone, quiet down. The class is about to begin,” Muzuki said softly, tapping the desk as he entered the classroom.

Everyone in Class 1, Grade 1 immediately fell silent, and most of the students from other classes also stopped talking, with only a few bolder students continuing to whisper.

“This seems to be Teacher Muzuki, who I heard was very good at teaching last semester.”

“We’ll know how good he is soon enough.”

Muzuki ignored the slight noises that didn’t affect the class. He continued, “Everyone, take out your textbooks. Today we will be learning Konoha History I.”

“During the Warring States Period, there was a great Ninja clan, the Senju Clan, which was centered on benevolence…”

Although it was Konoha History, it didn’t start after Konoha was established. The opening chapters described how Konoha was established and rose during the Warring States Period.

As a teacher, Muzuki had read all three Konoha History books several times.

How to put it, the general history was similar to what he remembered, but some techniques were used in the specific descriptions.

For example, there was more praise for the Senju. Although in Muzuki’s eyes, both the Senju and Uchiha were Ninja clans fighting for themselves, in the textbook, the Senju Clan was portrayed as taking it upon themselves to uphold justice, while the Uchiha Clan had a much weaker presence. Uchiha Madara was even the biggest villain in Konoha History.

On the point of Uchiha Madara, Muzuki largely agreed. Uchiha Madara could indeed be considered the biggest villain in Konoha History, because at that time, Uchiha Madara had already been misled by Black Zetsu and didn’t care about Konoha at all.

Muzuki was very familiar with the textbook. He rarely lectured while holding the book, because he already had a timeline in his mind and could just follow it, telling historical anecdotes while explaining knowledge points.

This was something he learned from his high school history teacher. His history teacher in high school used to lecture this way, explaining knowledge points while telling interesting little stories and various historical jokes.

However, Muzuki didn’t dare to make jokes about Konoha History in class. Konoha appeared to be just an ordinary city on the surface, but in essence, it was actually a military base.

“This teacher is indeed better than the previous theory class teacher.” Even students who hadn’t taken Muzuki’s classes before had to admit that Muzuki’s classes were more interesting.

After all, some theoretical knowledge was inherently dry and boring, and if the teacher was the kind who just read line by line from the textbook, it would truly be boring enough to make one sleepy.

    【Completed a large class teaching session】

    【Evaluation: A】

【Rewards: Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique, Lightning Release: False Darkness】

Water Dragon Bullet was a Ninjutsu Muzuki had already mastered. Upon receiving it again, Muzuki noticed that the proficiency on his skill panel had increased. Lightning Release: False Darkness, on the other hand, was a Ninjutsu Muzuki obtained for the first time.

“This semester, I’ll focus on grinding Chakra,” Muzuki thought, deciding to change his teaching strategy. Instead of grinding half and half, he would prioritize grinding Chakra first.

He now mastered many Ninjutsu, not only the basic five elemental Ninjutsu, but also many Yang Release Medical Ninjutsu and Yin Release Genjutsu. These were enough whether for teaching students or for combat. However, his Chakra was currently only a little over twice that of a regular Jonin.

If he could have the same Chakra as the Third Hokage, even if he couldn’t stand in the sky, he wouldn’t have to play along anymore.

Of course, just changing the combat strategy certainly wouldn’t increase that much Chakra.

After all, a normal small class only gave twenty points. Changing from half-grinding to full-grinding would only add a hundred Chakra points per week. However, now there were large classes, so the income would be higher.

After school, Muzuki went to the South Border Forest. Obito and Might Guy had basically been training there all day.

Although he had the teaching skill buff, Might Guy ultimately failed to learn Shadow Clone within a few days. Finally, Muzuki created a Shadow Clone with very little Chakra and had him use Transformation Technique to impersonate Might Guy in class.

However, to prevent Might Guy’s theory knowledge from regressing, Muzuki would take some time to tutor Might Guy on theory class knowledge when it didn’t affect his training.

After all, there were always breaks during training, and it wasn’t bad to relax by studying theory during those breaks.

“I am fire, I am fire, I am burning…” Obito squatted by the fire, feeling its warmth, while trying to hypnotize himself.

Muzuki used Appraisal on Obito. His proficiency was still fifteen points, the same as in the morning. Obito’s self-hypnosis method had not worked.

Seeing Muzuki’s main body approach, Obito sighed, “Teacher, this training is too difficult. I’ve been roasting by the fire all day and I’m almost getting heatstroke, but I haven’t felt anything special.”

Trying to comprehend Flame Breathing and fire was too abstract. Obito felt like he had tried everything, but he couldn’t feel any changes at all.

“Don’t be impatient. This secret technique is very suitable for you, it’s just too difficult,” Muzuki said, comforting him.

“Starting tomorrow, you and Shisui will eat lunch and dinner here every day. I’ll make some fiery dishes, which might speed up the progress,” Muzuki said after thinking for a moment.

When he was practicing Fire Release Chakra Nature Transformation before, his illusion-inducing dishes had worked. Perhaps the Flame Breathing comprehension of fire step could also benefit from it.

“Shisui, you can also proceed to the next step of training tomorrow,” Muzuki told Shisui.

Although Shisui initially lagged behind Obito, Shisui trained more diligently, and he performed well during the second step. Now his progress was the same as Obito’s, reaching fifteen proficiency.

“Huh?” Hearing Muzuki’s words, Obito instinctively tightened a certain vulnerable part of his body.

That was truly an unbearable memory. He went into the restroom fine, but had to lean on the wall when he came out.

Even Shisui, upon hearing Muzuki’s words, showed a look of facing a formidable enemy. This was no joke.

“Teacher Muzuki, I think the current progress is actually good. After all, it’s such a difficult secret technique. It’s normal to have no progress for a day,” Obito felt he could still struggle a bit.

“Teacher Muzuki, I haven’t started perception training yet. How about I try to see what normal training is like first?” Shisui said after thinking for a moment.

Muzuki thought Shisui’s words made a lot of sense, so he nodded and said, “Then Shisui, you don’t have to tomorrow. Obito will eat first.”

Obito looked at Shisui with a bewildered expression, thinking, *So you’re going to save yourself, huh?*

“I’ve thought about it carefully, and I still think your idea, Teacher Muzuki, is excellent. It will definitely be very beneficial for training, and cooking separately is also very troublesome. How about everyone eats the same thing?” Obito suggested.

There was no way he was going to suffer alone. If Shisui wanted to save himself, then he shouldn’t blame him for dragging everyone down with him.

“Why do you keep changing your mind?” Muzuki flashed in front of Obito and tapped his head, saying.

This time, what Shisui said was clearly more reasonable.

Currently, both Shisui and Obito have fifteen proficiency. Next, Obito will eat and Shisui won’t. If Obito’s progress is significantly faster, then it proves it’s effective. He not only needs to feed Obito and Shisui fiery dishes, but also needs to figure out how to make some heavy dishes for Might Guy.

However, Muzuki didn’t know what kind of dishes could create an environment related to rocks and earth for a while. He couldn’t just use rocks and dirt to cook, could he?

Muzuki thought that if rocks were edible, they might taste good with the system’s skill buff.

“I’m just worried about everyone’s training, and I’m also afraid of tiring you out, Teacher Muzuki,” Obito said with a chuckle, rubbing the spot where he was tapped.

“Teachers aren’t afraid of getting tired, as long as you can achieve something in your training,” Muzuki said with a laugh.

Obito thought, *Oh no, this time I might really be the only one suffering.*

“May Muzuki Sage protect me. I hope Shisui doesn’t make rapid progress in his training tomorrow,” Obito prayed silently with his hands clasped.

If Shisui learned something tomorrow, it would be even more unbearable than if he didn’t feel anything, because it would mean that he would really be the only one suffering from then on.

Obito would rather Shisui also eat various super spicy dishes and then make rapid progress, surpassing him, than be the only one leaning on the wall after leaving the restroom in the future.

After finishing today’s training, Obito’s Flame Breathing progress remained unchanged.

When he got home, Obito saw the Shadow Clone lying on his bed reading a novel and suddenly remembered that he had forgotten to dispel the Shadow Clone.

Obito immediately dispelled the Shadow Clone. He had truly put in a lot of effort to get the Shadow Clone to attend school for him.

The moment the Shadow Clone was dispelled, all the memories of the Shadow Clone attending class today flowed back into Obito’s brain.

In that instant, Obito felt like he had just endured a half-day of boring and long math class.

“Damn it, math is so annoying!” Obito immediately lay down on the bed, groaning.

He discovered a problem: although the Shadow Clone went to class, after the Shadow Clone was dispelled and the memories flowed back, the vivid feeling was no different from if he had gone himself. The boredom and pain were not lessened at all.

“Wait, could it be…” Obito thought of something, formed hand signs again, and used Shadow Clone. He then bribed the Shadow Clone to do a math problem.

After the problem was done, Obito immediately dispelled the Shadow Clone. The memory of doing the problem instantly flowed back into his mind, as if he had just done the problem himself.

Obito collapsed onto the bed, deciding to revoke Senju Tobirama’s title of Sage.

Wasn’t this completely useless? Doing problems and attending class were inherently mental tortures. When the memories flowed back, the feelings were still so profound, it was no different from the main body doing it.

Obito felt that Shadow Clone really needed improvement. For example, one should be able to choose whether memories flow back or not. That would be much better.

“It still has to be Muzuki Sage and Six Paths Sage.” Obito felt that Senju Tobirama was lacking.
