Chapter Index

    Early morning.

Muzuki made himself a simple breakfast before heading to the South Border Forest to teach his disciples.

In truth, Muzuki had already passed the stage of teaching his disciples every single day.

The further one progressed in Ninja cultivation, the more things required diligent practice and absorption by the disciples themselves, rather than just being taught.

However, if there were important new skills, Muzuki would still maintain more concentrated lessons so that his disciples could master them as soon as possible.

In the morning, Muzuki’s main body basically taught Shisui and Obito the Azure Flame, while his Shadow Clones watched over the other disciples’ training.

Since he had completed the Yang Seal last night, Muzuki’s main body would refine Chakra and store it into the Yang Seal whenever he had free time.

Because he spent quite a bit of time preparing a lavish late-night snack for Tsunade last night, Muzuki went to sleep shortly after eating to ensure he had enough energy for today, so he hadn’t been able to store much Chakra in the Yang Seal.

During the noon break, Muzuki’s main body went alone deep into the South Border Forest.

He wanted to test the effects of the Yang Seal.

Although it was successful in theory, Muzuki would not teach a Ninjutsu he hadn’t used to his disciples; he had to put it into actual use to detect any issues.

After reaching a distance that wouldn’t affect his disciples’ rest, Muzuki stopped, concentrated his breathing to the limit, and simultaneously opened the Yang Seal.

    “Yang Seal Release!”

When the Chakra stored in the Yang Seal was released, the flame mark on Muzuki’s forehead emitted a red light, followed by fiery red patterns spreading around it, looking like a burning flame.

    “Yang Seal: Flame Breathing!”

Accompanied by the change in the mark, Muzuki’s physical momentum also climbed rapidly, entering the Flame Breathing Chakra Mode.

Muzuki casually condensed a large fireball and threw it to the side, instantly blasting a large crater over seven meters wide.

“No problems. In fact, because it’s extra Chakra, I can use it more recklessly, bringing out the power of Flame Breathing to its maximum.” Muzuki nodded.

When using the Breathing Technique Chakra Mode normally, Muzuki rarely pushed its power to the limit because the increase in power wasn’t very high compared to the extra Chakra consumed; it wasn’t cost-effective, and it was better to save Chakra for emergencies.

But with an extra mana bar, there was no such concern. After all, the extra mana bar was specifically for maintaining the Breathing Technique Chakra Mode and couldn’t be used elsewhere anyway.

After a series of tests, Muzuki was very satisfied with the perfected Yang Seal; it basically met his previous expectations.

After confirming there were no issues with the Yang Seal, Muzuki called Kakashi over before the afternoon training began.

Muzuki handed the organized scroll to Kakashi and said,

“This is an S-rank Sealing Technique called the Yang Seal. It’s a Sealing Technique I specifically developed to solve the excessive consumption of the Breathing Technique Chakra Mode. It can store extra Chakra to be used in battle.”

Upon hearing Muzuki’s introduction of the Yang Seal, Kakashi’s face instantly lit up with joy.

He needed this Sealing Technique so much.

Although Kakashi was often teased for lacking mana in Muzuki’s past life, without the Sharingan, Kakashi’s Chakra was actually quite outstanding.

However, the current Kakashi had a set of overpowered skills—Lightning Release Chakra Mode and One Thought Cut. They were truly strong, but the consumption was also truly massive.

“With extra Chakra to maintain the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, I shouldn’t be exhausted after just one strike,” Kakashi thought to himself.

The amount of Chakra was simply too important for him. With enough Chakra, he wouldn’t necessarily lose to Might Guy.

It was truly frustrating to have a set of skills but no Chakra to perform them.

He was proficient in Lightning Release and Earth Release, his mastery of Armament Haki was only slightly inferior to Shisui’s, and his Lightning Release Swordsmanship was incredibly sharp.

Yet in battle, he often couldn’t display all the means he had mastered due to Chakra limitations, having to use them selectively.

If Kakashi also had the Chakra to freely release False Darkness and Purple Lightning, he really wouldn’t fear Might Guy with five of the Eight Gates open plus Rock Breathing Chakra Mode.

Might Guy had the Eight Gates plus Rock Breathing Chakra Mode, but Kakashi had his own advantages; he was the only disciple who had mastered the Transparent World.

“First, look through the contents of the scroll. If there’s anything you don’t understand, you can ask me. Study the theory first and don’t rush to practice. The Yang Seal is a very dangerous Ninjutsu; I’ll explain it to you in detail in a couple of days,” Muzuki reminded him.

Muzuki’s current level of Sealing Techniques was at least on par with Kushina’s. As for medical knowledge, he had not only used proficiency scrolls to upgrade his Medical Ninjutsu skills but had also specifically studied medical knowledge with Tsunade.

Even so, Muzuki only set the perfected Yang Seal within his body while Tsunade was there to protect him.

To be safe, Muzuki planned to let Kakashi master all the theory first before practicing the Yang Seal under his protection.

“Yes, thank you for the trouble, Muzuki-sensei,” Kakashi nodded in response.

Since Muzuki had said so, Kakashi would never rashly practice it.

After all, Muzuki was relatively reserved; if he said something was dangerous, it basically meant that if something went wrong, you would die.

After the afternoon training began, Muzuki let Obito and Shisui practice the Azure Flame on their own, while he began teaching Charizard the Great Sunny Day.

The Great Sunny Day during the day wasn’t as dazzling as at night, but it still quickly caught the attention of the nearby disciples.

Although the light ball that rose wasn’t as conspicuous during the day, the area within the range of the Great Sunny Day would become exceptionally parched and hot, with the temperature skyrocketing at a rather unscientific speed.

Fortunately, this skyrocketing temperature came and went quickly; after a few minutes, the Great Sunny Day vanished, and the temperature soon returned to normal.

“Even I have to focus and study for a long time to learn it. Can Charizard learn the Solar Flare Technique?” Obito held a negative view on whether Charizard could successfully learn the Great Sunny Day.

Using the Great Sunny Day at night was like using a great divine power to forcibly bring light to the darkness, and it could also weaken Water Release while strengthening Fire Release.

Obito naturally wanted to learn such a cool and powerful Ninjutsu, but he was rejected by Muzuki on the grounds that the time spent was disproportionate to the gain.

Obito didn’t believe Charizard’s Fire Release talent was better than his.

Initially, Obito’s speed in practicing Fire Release was quite average compared to Shisui’s, but as his Bloodline Limit opened and his potential was stimulated, and as his Flame Breathing progressed and enhanced his abilities, his speed in learning Fire Release became much faster.

Meanwhile, Charizard struggled even to learn a Great Fireball; it looked like it wasn’t very bright.

As if sensing Obito’s thoughts, Charizard glared at him.

Today you, Obito, look down on it, but later when it learns the Great Sunny Day, you’ll have to beg it to use it!

“Not only must I learn it, but I must also master it,” Charizard thought secretly.

It had already thought of how to mess with Obito. Once Obito was fast asleep, it would hang a Small Sunny Day over his head to help warm his body.

To avoid affecting Grandma’s sleep, it had to strictly control the range to within Obito’s room.

Thus, Charizard strove for self-improvement and worked hard to learn the Great Sunny Day from Muzuki.

Muzuki looked at his disciples and their Pokémon working hard and nodded in satisfaction. Today in the South Border Forest was another day full of harmonious atmosphere… After the afternoon training ended, Shisui returned home and first prepared dinner.

After taking Zorua out for a walk as usual, Shisui returned to his small courtyard and began training.

It wasn’t until eleven o’clock at night that Shisui finally stopped completely, preparing to shower and rest.

“Shisui, I feel like you’ve been working even harder than usual lately. Except for eating and sleeping, you’re training almost all day,” Zorua said, stretching its body while lying nearby.

“There’s really no need to work this hard, right? Didn’t your teacher also say that training should be a balance of work and rest?”

Seeing Shisui training so hard, Zorua was worried his body wouldn’t be able to take it.

After all, human bodies weren’t like those of Pokémon; they were relatively fragile.

“With Muzuki-sensei’s secret medicine, there’s no need to worry about the physical aspect. Besides, to realize my ideas, strength is indispensable.” Shisui wiped the sweat from his forehead and then patted Zorua’s head.

“Thank you for your concern. Once the Police Force matters are settled for a while, I’ll return to my previous training pace.”

The Clan Meeting was imminent, and Shisui planned to make a big move there, so he had to increase his strength as much as possible.

If things went smoothly, Shisui wouldn’t even need to show his strength.

If things didn’t go smoothly, and there were paranoid, stubborn, or deliberately disruptive Uchiha, Shisui would let them know that times had changed.

He and Obito were now more than just simple geniuses.

“In other words, Shisui, you’re desperate to get stronger?” Zorua stood up.

“Yes, I need to become as strong as possible during this time.”

“I really can’t do anything with you.” Zorua looked at Shisui with a helpless expression.

Shisui gently tapped Zorua’s head with his finger. How did it end up sounding like Zorua was the one taking care of and pampering him? Talk about a role reversal.

Shisui didn’t use much force, basically just enough to tickle, so Zorua still had that giggling expression.

“Shisui, look at me carefully, okay? Keep my cute appearance in your heart,” Zorua said to Shisui with a smile as it leapt from the outdoor corridor into the courtyard.

After saying that, Zorua just stood there looking at Shisui.

After a minute passed, Zorua stopped suppressing the power of evolution within its body, and a dazzling white light enveloped its frame.

It just loved pranks, it wasn’t lazy; it had completed all the necessary training.

Zorua had even fought in the quarter-finals of the Martial Arts Tournament to help Shisui defeat his opponent.

On the first day back in Konoha, Zorua could have actually evolved.

However, it had forcibly suppressed the power of evolution because it didn’t want to evolve.

Because once it evolved, it might become a big guy like Charizard or Milotic. How would Shisui hold it then? It wouldn’t be able to stand on Shisui’s shoulder anymore either.

Its transformation was essentially an illusion and couldn’t change its true physical form and weight. If it evolved and still clung to Shisui, it would probably exhaust him to death.

But Zorua knew what was important. Shisui needed power, and only after evolving could it better protect him.

“So that was really it.” Shisui’s expression was complex.

He had guessed before that Zorua might not have evolved because it didn’t want to.

After all, Zorua wasn’t inferior to other Pokémon, and it wasn’t born late; there was no reason for it to lag so far behind the others.

The white light dissipated, and Zoroark, whose height far exceeded Shisui’s, appeared before him.

Compared to its time as a Zorua, the evolved Zoroark had undergone massive changes, and it wasn’t as simple as just getting bigger.

Zoroark no longer walked on all fours but instead walked upright like a human.

The red mane that was on its head as a Zorua now covered its back, with fur so thick one might worry if it would affect its movement.

Furthermore, Zoroark had sharp red claws on both its legs and arms, adding a touch of sharpness to its appearance.

“Now I realize how small you are, Shisui. Should I call you Little Shisui?” Zoroark said with a playful look, gently tapping Shisui’s head with its claws.

Shisui was only nine years old now, while Zoroark was a full 1.7 meters tall. To Zoroark, looking at Shisui was really no different from an adult looking at a child.

After evolving, Zoroark found it wasn’t too bad. Although it couldn’t let Shisui hold it anymore, it could now give Shisui a lift; this was something it absolutely couldn’t have done before.

“Don’t mess around.” Shisui looked with a dark expression at Zoroark, who was reaching out with both hands and a mischievous look.

Perhaps because its body had grown larger, or because its appearance had become more mature, the smile Zorua had before doing something bad no longer had that same sense of cuteness.

Even though it could now crush Shisui in terms of height after evolving, facing the person who had hatched it and taken care of it all this way, Zoroark quickly straightened up once Shisui became serious.

Gone was the casual, careless manner from just a moment ago.

“Try using an illusion on me,” Shisui said after thinking for a moment.

Illusion was an innate ability Zorua was born with, mastered from the moment of birth. Since evolution would strengthen a Pokémon in all aspects, logically, Zorua’s current illusions should be very strong.

“Hehe, actually Shisui, you’re already caught in an illusion! I’m still a Zorua, I haven’t evolved at all. I just used an illusion to trick you!” Zoroark let out an arrogant laugh.

At that moment, Shisui looked at Zoroark again, and it had turned back into the four-legged Zorua form.

“I can’t feel the sensation of being in an illusion at all.” Shisui was surprised.

Even without using the Sharingan, Shisui was a master of illusions, skilled both at casting and dispelling them.

But just now, he hadn’t noticed at all that he was under Zoroark’s illusion.

“Try again,” Shisui said, activating his Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

The Sharingan had the ability to amplify illusions, and in its state, Shisui’s resistance to illusions would be greatly enhanced.

“Hmph, Little Shisui, just you watch! See how great the Great Zoroark is!” Zoroark’s proud voice rang in Shisui’s mind.

In the blink of an eye, Shisui found that the Zorua before his eyes was rapidly growing in size, becoming a colossal Zorua even larger than the house, as if it would grow even bigger and crush the building at any moment.

“Just this illusion alone is strong enough.”

Shisui found that even with his Three-Tomoe Sharingan, he would still immediately fall for Zorua’s illusion, though he could dispel it with careful inspection.

This level of strength was already sufficient, because among the Uchiha, except for Uchiha Fugaku who was an uncertainty, the illusions of the other Uchiha were not as good as Shisui’s.
