Chapter Index

The two hours of teaching quickly passed, and by the time Lady Tsunade finished, the sky had just cleared up.

Muzuki conscientiously bought groceries and cooked, while Tsunade sat in the living room contemplating life.

“How can I make Muzuki rich?” Lady Tsunade pondered this question very seriously. If Muzuki had money, he could come to her for lessons every day.

Lady Tsunade thought that if Muzuki opened a restaurant selling high-priced dishes, he would surely make money quickly, but this had already been rejected by Muzuki himself, so it was clearly not feasible.

Lady Tsunade came up with several ideas in a row, but they were immediately rejected as soon as she thought of them, either because they required Muzuki to change professions or she herself felt they were a bit unreliable.

“Shizune, what do you think? How can we make Muzuki rich? You don’t want Muzuki to only be able to come once a month in the future, do you?” Lady Tsunade, unable to come up with a good idea, looked at Shizune beside her.

Although Shizune was not old, she was quite reliable in all aspects.

“Why does Teacher Muzuki need to be rich?” Shizune looked at Lady Tsunade with a puzzled expression.

“Think about it, if Muzuki doesn’t have money, he can’t come to me for lessons. Although I think it’s good for him to just come and cook, he definitely wouldn’t be willing. If it’s not for learning, he definitely won’t come over,” Lady Tsunade said, leaning back in her chair.

“Since Teacher Muzuki has no money, then why doesn’t Lady Tsunade just not charge him? Didn’t Teacher Muzuki cook for us without charging?” Shizune thought for a moment and said.

Lady Tsunade scratched her head. She had thought of that, but if she didn’t charge, she always felt like she was losing out.

She was Tsunade, one of the Three Sannin, the Ninja World’s acknowledged Medical Saint. People who wanted her to treat them could line up from Konoha Hospital all the way beyond the Main urban area. If she taught someone just for food, wouldn’t that mean she was a glutton?

“Lady Tsunade, you didn’t charge me for teaching me either, and you can also propose other forms of compensation,” Shizune continued.

Lady Tsunade gave Shizune a thumbs-up and then vigorously rubbed Shizune’s cheek. If Muzuki were her disciple, then of course, money wouldn’t be necessary. Exchanging for other compensation was also a very good method, completely solving the money problem.

Lady Tsunade decided to still choose to exchange for compensation. After all, she still didn’t understand Muzuki very well and didn’t want to rashly take him as a disciple.

During dinner, looking at yet another unfamiliar chicken dish, Lady Tsunade wondered how many chicken-related dishes Muzuki had mastered.

“What’s the name of this dish?” Lady Tsunade asked curiously.

“Saliva Chicken,” Muzuki replied with a smile.

“What a strange name,” Lady Tsunade muttered, then decisively picked up a piece of chicken with a red oil sheen on its surface and put it into her mouth.

Lady Tsunade’s eyes lit up. She hadn’t eaten Muzuki’s cooking for five meals. When the chicken entered her mouth, Lady Tsunade knew it was back—that feeling was back.

At this moment, Lady Tsunade greatly admired Muzuki. Just a single chicken, and he could make three such different, yet equally delicious, dishes from it.

If she had reached the pinnacle of Medical Ninjutsu, then Muzuki had undoubtedly reached an unsurpassed pinnacle in cooking.

Lady Tsunade couldn’t stop herself from eating piece after piece of chicken. It was only when dinner was almost over that Lady Tsunade remembered she had forgotten to discuss the teaching arrangements with Muzuki.

“Ahem, Muzuki, don’t be in a hurry to leave today,” Lady Tsunade quickly said to prevent Muzuki from going straight home.

“Lady Tsunade, is there something you need?” Muzuki put down his chopsticks and asked, a little puzzled.

“The agreed-upon teaching compensation cannot be easily changed, but I see your high enthusiasm for learning, and Shizune also quite likes you. I’ll grant you a special permission to exchange the original hundred thousand ryo per hour compensation for other forms of compensation,” Lady Tsunade said, looking at Muzuki with an appreciative gaze, as if moved by Muzuki’s diligence.

“Lady Tsunade, is that really alright?” Muzuki’s face showed surprise and gratitude.

Muzuki knew in his heart the real reason Lady Tsunade was willing to change the compensation, but he couldn’t point it out. He had to play along with Lady Tsunade.

    Lady Tsunade nodded affirmatively.

“In that case, can the compensation be changed to tutoring Shizune?” Muzuki replied after several minutes of feigning deep thought.

In fact, this was the compensation he had considered from the beginning. The reason he pretended to think hard was because sometimes answers that are too easily obtained are underestimated.

Cooking couldn’t be used as compensation. Although he knew Lady Tsunade was just after the food, he couldn’t put such a thing out in the open; that would make it a purely transactional relationship.

Rather than a purely transactional relationship, Muzuki wanted this transaction to become one with emotional involvement.

His talent in Medical Ninjutsu was very ordinary, incomparable to Sealing Technique, so if he wanted to complete the ‘Power Bank Plan’ faster, he could only involve Lady Tsunade directly after increasing her favorability.

“Tutoring Shizune?” Lady Tsunade was a bit confused. Her compensation for teaching Muzuki was for Muzuki to teach Shizune. Was this a bit roundabout?

Although she thought Muzuki could just make any request, she felt that his tutoring being equivalent to a Sannin’s teaching was a bit self-centered.

“Lady Tsunade, don’t underestimate Teacher Muzuki. He’s very good at teaching people. He’s the best teacher at Ninja Academy, capable of teaching over three hundred people very well,” Shizune said softly from the side.

After hearing Shizune’s words and recalling Muzuki’s feigned deep thought, Lady Tsunade felt that Muzuki might not be self-centered, but rather had brought out his most proud skill.

After all, in the past few days of interacting with Muzuki, he had been quite humble in all aspects, so it was unlikely he would suddenly become self-centered.

Of course, Lady Tsunade only thought Muzuki was quite thoughtful; his teaching ability, however, was questionable. What was taught at Ninja Academy and what was taught after graduation were two different things.

“Then it’s settled,” Lady Tsunade decided, confirming the new compensation.

She would see how Muzuki taught, and if there weren’t any major issues, this compensation would remain, especially since Shizune said she quite liked Muzuki.

Muzuki smiled and thanked Lady Tsunade, and also discussed the future study schedule.

Things were even easier than Muzuki had anticipated. He had several other contingency plans for unexpected situations, but none of them were needed.

The Sealing Technique Power Bank Plan was now on track. From now on, Muzuki only needed to maintain his normal actions.

With Lady Tsunade’s issue resolved, Ninja Academy officially welcomed a brand new academic year.

In the classroom of Class 2-1, students who had been separated for two weeks began discussing their experiences during that time.

“Kotetsu, did you find a chance to deal with your cousin this holiday?” Izumo Kamizuki asked with curiosity.

During the holiday, Kotetsu Hagane had vowed to fight his cousin, who was a year older than him, and suppress him with strength.

As a good brother, Izumo Kamizuki was extremely worried that Kotetsu Hagane would suffer, as Kotetsu Hagane’s cousin was indeed cunning and treacherous, and he couldn’t defeat him even with several brilliant strategies.

“Don’t even mention it. That despicable guy knew I was strong and wouldn’t engage in actual combat with me. He insisted on deciding the victor through games. I was either reading or training every day, so where would I find time to play games? I ended up losing,” Kotetsu Hagane sighed.

“He could refuse your actual combat, and you could refuse his game challenge,” Izumo Kamizuki said, puzzled.

“Because he said if I won, he would help me pursue Mihui,” Kotetsu Hagane said with regret.

“Haha, that’s so like you, Kotetsu,” Izumo Kamizuki laughed, patting Kotetsu Hagane’s shoulder. That was indeed an irresistible condition.

“The point shouldn’t be that this guy spent the entire holiday reading and training!” Anko couldn’t help but interject.

She still remembered Kotetsu Hagane saying that the holiday was precious and should be enjoyed, but it turned out he enjoyed it this way.

“Ultimately, we are students, aren’t we? Isn’t studying a matter of course?” Kotetsu Hagane said with good reason.

“That may be true, but Kotetsu, you give off the impression that you want others to stay in place while you secretly work hard to surpass them. How despicable! Treating the school as a battlefield and your classmates as enemies!” Izumo Kamizuki accused him with a look of anguish.

“Exactly! Exactly!” Anko quickly nodded, feeling that Izumo Kamizuki had spoken her mind.

“But I saw you training too, Izumo,” Kotetsu Hagane said with a chuckle.

Anko was not surprised by this, as this scenario had played out countless times before. Therefore, Anko deliberately sat between the two of them, making it easier to deal with both at once.

“Actually, it was only that one time, and you just happened to see it, Kotetsu,” Izumo Kamizuki felt he could still struggle a bit.

Anko ignored Izumo Kamizuki’s sophistry, rubbed her fists, and prepared to act. If you could believe anything these two said, there’d be a ghost.

The next moment, Anko’s intention to act vanished, because the teacher arrived.

Muzuki pushed open the door and entered the classroom, looking at the students with a gentle smile.

Recently, I’ve had a lot of worries, so the updates have been a bit slow. I apologize for that, and I’ll try my best to adjust back. There’s another chapter coming soon.
