Chapter Index

“Obito, can you tell me about your time as an Intern Ninja?” Shisui asked Obito during a training break.

Shisui had already discussed with Muzuki about participating in the internship and then graduating directly, so Shisui wanted to gain some internship experience from Obito.

Originally, Shisui wanted to ask Kakashi, because he felt Kakashi would be much more reliable in this regard, but Kakashi seemed to have something going on and didn’t come to the South Border Forest today.

After Minato returned, Obito and the others basically ran between two places, training with Minato for a few days, then returning to Muzuki’s side to train.

“Shisui, why are you asking this? Aren’t you only in your second year?” Obito scratched his head and asked in confusion.

“I plan to graduate early in my second year, so I’ll be participating in this year’s internship,” Shisui explained.

“I see,” Obito said with a look of sudden understanding.

Obito didn’t find anything wrong with Shisui graduating early. Kakashi had graduated directly without even finishing his first year, and Shisui could easily defeat Kakashi at the same age, so Obito believed there was no problem with Shisui graduating early.

“Then you’ve come to the right person! I was one of the most outstanding people during the graduation internship!” As he spoke, Obito couldn’t help but puff out his chest and raise his head, looking proud.

Their team’s quantity and quality of completed missions were both first. The reason he had to include “one of” was because Might Guy was on his team.

“Mhm, very impressive,” Shisui said, clapping and praising.

Although his clapping and smile lacked enthusiasm, he knew that Obito would still be happy this way.

As expected, a triumphant smile quickly appeared on Obito’s face.

“First, an Intern Ninja is still a Ninja, and they have to take on entrusted missions. During missions, accidents are very likely to occur, so you must be careful and cautious when doing missions,” Obito began to explain.

Shisui nodded. It seemed Obito wasn’t as unreliable in this regard as he had imagined.

“Even if you encounter an accident, don’t panic. As long as you work hard with your companions, you’ll always overcome difficulties,” Obito said, clenching his fist in encouragement.

It was precisely because he, Might Guy, and Kakashi never gave up when they encountered the Raikage Candidate that they ultimately defeated the Kumogakure Jonin.

“Obito, did many accidents happen during your internship?” Shisui asked curiously.

He saw Obito’s expression and it didn’t seem like he was just saying it casually; it looked like he was speaking from experience.

“No accidents happened on D-Rank missions, but it seems C-Rank Missions all had accidents, like encountering the Raikage Candidate, or running into a thousand enemy Ninja attacking,” Obito thought for a moment and replied.

“The internship is that dangerous?” Shisui almost thought he misheard.

Encountering the Raikage Candidate and a battle with a thousand Ninja shouldn’t those be S-rank Missions?

“Of course it’s dangerous! If it weren’t for Muzuki-sensei, we would have died on those missions,” Obito said as if it were obvious.

“But no other intern teams had any casualties,” Shisui felt something was off.

Although he could sense that Obito wasn’t lying, the content was indeed a bit illogical.

“It’s probably because other teams can only do D-Rank missions. Our team was specially authorized by the Hokage to take on C-Rank Missions during the internship,” Obito also felt a bit strange, then remembered that other teams couldn’t take C-Rank Missions at all.

Shisui nodded, deciding it would be better to ask Kakashi another day.

“Oh, right, before going on a mission, never say that this mission won’t have any accidents, otherwise, an accident is bound to happen,” Obito remembered something and warned him with a serious expression.

Obito believed Kakashi was responsible for most of the accidents, because Kakashi always said there wouldn’t be any accidents before they set off, and the more Kakashi guaranteed it, the bigger the accidents ended up being.

Shisui found this a bit strange, but seeing how serious Obito was, he still took note of it.

After a day of training, Shisui returned home, feeling exhausted.

Shisui first rested briefly, then prepared to make dinner for himself.

Just then, a knock suddenly sounded from outside.

When Shisui opened the door and saw who was there, a smile mixed with a hint of surprise appeared on his face.

“Uncle Shinhiro,” Shisui greeted with a smile.

Standing at the door was his biological uncle, whom he hadn’t seen for a long time.

Perhaps due to the war, Shisui felt that Uchiha Nobuhiro was busier than before; sometimes he wouldn’t be in the village for several months.

“Shisui, long time no see. You seem to have grown taller,” Uchiha Nobuhiro responded with a chuckle.

“Last time I left, you only came up to here,” Uchiha Nobuhiro said, gesturing.

“Uncle Shinhiro, please come in first. I’ll pour you a cup of tea,” Shisui welcomed Uchiha Nobuhiro into his home.

Uchiha Nobuhiro nodded and placed the fruits and sweets he had brought onto the table.

“Shisui, have you eaten yet?” Uchiha Nobuhiro asked, taking the tea Shisui offered. He saw the environment didn’t look like it was after dinner.

“Not yet, I was just about to make some,” Shisui replied truthfully.

“Perfect, I haven’t eaten either. Let me treat you to my cooking, nephew!” Uchiha Nobuhiro laughed heartily as he walked towards the kitchen.

Whether he had eaten or not, at this moment, he had to say he hadn’t. When he wasn’t around, it was one thing, but when he was, he definitely had to try his best to take care of Shisui.

Shisui didn’t refuse Uchiha Nobuhiro’s kindness, but he followed him to the kitchen to help.

“How has life been recently? Have you encountered any difficulties in your training?” Uchiha Nobuhiro asked with concern during dinner.

His uncle cooking for him and then asking questions with concern made Shisui instinctively recall childhood memories of being cared for by Uchiha Nobuhiro.

“Very good, no difficulties,” Shisui replied, shaking his head.

The inheritance left by his family meant he didn’t have to worry about money, and with Muzuki guiding him in his training, he truly hadn’t encountered any difficulties.

Muzuki considered everything so thoroughly, even paying attention to his emotional state in daily life, and even celebrated his birthday with him.

“Shisui, you’re so mature, it makes me, your uncle, seem useless. You truly are a genius of our Uchiha Clan,” Uchiha Nobuhiro said, praising him with a smile.

“However, I do have something to tell you, Uncle,” Shisui thought for a moment and began.

“I’m going to graduate early and become a Ninja.”

Shisui told Uchiha Nobuhiro about his plan to graduate early.

“Graduate early, huh…” Uchiha Nobuhiro fell into thought.

“If you can’t learn anything at the Ninja Academy, then there’s really no need to stay,” Uchiha Nobuhiro affirmed Shisui’s idea.

As Shisui’s uncle, he knew Shisui’s talent.

Based on Shisui’s performance, if no accidents occurred, Uchiha Nobuhiro felt Shisui could become the next Uchiha Kagami, or even surpass him.

Becoming a Ninja meant danger, but it also meant faster growth.

Due to his unique experiences, Shisui possessed a maturity far beyond his peers, and Uchiha Nobuhiro believed this was the result of Shisui’s careful consideration.

Having received his uncle’s affirmation, a smile appeared on Shisui’s face.

Although Uchiha Nobuhiro disagreeing wouldn’t prevent him from graduating early, he was, after all, the second person he trusted, so Shisui still cared about Uchiha Nobuhiro’s opinion.

After dinner, Uchiha Nobuhiro suggested a sparring match, which would also help with digestion.

To make Uchiha Nobuhiro feel more at ease about him becoming a Ninja, Shisui agreed.

Due to his busy schedule, Uchiha Nobuhiro hadn’t guided his training for a long time, so he wasn’t aware of his current strength.

To avoid damaging the house, Shisui specifically led Uchiha Nobuhiro to a nearby deserted open space.

“Come at me with all your might,” Uchiha Nobuhiro said, standing opposite Shisui.

    “Flame Breathing, Full Concentration!”

Shisui immediately concentrated his breathing to the extreme to enhance his physical strength and strengthen his Chakra Nature Transformation.

    “Fire Release: Great Fireball Barrage!”

Shisui condensed a large amount of Chakra in his throat, then continuously spewed out two huge fireballs, sending them crashing towards Uchiha Nobuhiro.

Knowing that Uchiha Nobuhiro was a powerful Uchiha Jonin, Shisui held nothing back and used his full power.

“Is this a further development of the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique?”

Looking at the two incoming large fireballs, Uchiha Nobuhiro was somewhat surprised.

For a Chunin Uchiha to be able to use such a Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique was already quite good, but Shisui actually spewed out two in one breath.

Uchiha Nobuhiro quickly moved to dodge. Knowing the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique extremely well, he naturally wouldn’t be hit by two such fireballs.

    Whoosh!

Chakra erupted in Shisui’s legs, and he charged towards Uchiha Nobuhiro at extreme speed.

    Bang!

Uchiha Nobuhiro blocked Shisui’s fist with his palm, but his body uncontrollably took a step backward.

“Could it be that I haven’t been back for four years, and Shisui, you’re already eleven?” Uchiha Nobuhiro couldn’t help but say, recalling Shisui’s speed and feeling the force from his palm.

Shisui was so strong that he somewhat doubted if he had traveled through time. Although he wasn’t entirely serious, he was still a Jonin, and a relatively strong one at that.

“No, I’m still seven,” Shisui replied, flashing back to create distance.

“Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!”

Shisui rapidly formed hand seals, condensed most of the Chakra in his body, then quickly transformed it into flames and spewed it out in one breath.

As fellow Flame Breathing practitioners, and with Shisui’s Ninjutsu talent being higher than Obito’s, Muzuki naturally taught Shisui this powerful Fire Release.

Looking at the large sheets of high-temperature flames rushing towards him, Uchiha Nobuhiro’s eyes widened, his face full of disbelief.

    This… is this really a seven-year-old?

Uchiha Nobuhiro was certain that Shisui, if no accidents occurred, would definitely surpass Uchiha Kagami, because Uchiha Kagami was not this strong when he was Shisui’s age.

For a split second, Uchiha Nobuhiro felt that Shisui could reach the heights of Uchiha Madara.

But it was only for a second. Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama were two Ninja World legends; the gap between them and ordinary Ninja was too vast.

Using Fire Release to cancel out Shisui’s Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet, Uchiha Nobuhiro looked at Shisui with eyes full of joy.

With Shisui’s strength, let alone becoming a Genin, even becoming a Chunin would make him a strong Chunin. Self-preservation was absolutely no problem.
