First Ninjutsu Talent (Please follow up and read)

The practical exam on the second day was still held at the Training Ground, just like before.

After all the students had drawn their lots, Muzuki announced that the practical exam officially began.

“Examinee Number One, Kotetsu Hagane, and Examinee Number Two, Koji Mine, please enter the examination area.”

Kotetsu Hagane knew that as Examinee Number One, he would definitely be the first to take the exam, so he had already warmed up in advance.

“Let me take the lead. Remember to cheer for me.” Kotetsu Hagane bid farewell to his two good brothers and walked into the examination clearing.

“Kotetsu, don’t lose in the first round!” Izumo Kamizuki was very supportive, cheering on Kotetsu Hagane.

Koji Mine and Kotetsu Hagane walked into the arena together. The two didn’t communicate much. They formed the Confrontation Seal and immediately began fighting once Muzuki called “Start.”

Although the goal was to get rid of the Medical Ninja, it wasn’t about acting in the actual combat, but rather demonstrating their concrete abilities to show the supervising teachers the gap between the students’ Ninjutsu and Taijutsu levels.

At the start of the engagement, both used Taijutsu to clash and probe each other.

In the first wave of probing attacks, Kotetsu Hagane temporarily suppressed Koji Mine with his greater strength.

Then, Koji Mine began to play tactical. First, he used the Substitution Technique to confuse Kotetsu Hagane and create distance, then he split into two clones to create a diversion and look for an attacking opportunity.

Koji Mine’s Three Body Technique was practiced quite well, but Kotetsu Hagane played it even more elaborately than him.

Kotetsu Hagane first created a chair clone, then two normal clones.

He used the normal clones to confuse Koji Mine, then seized the opportunity to dispel the chair clone and create a normal clone, finally transforming himself into a chair using the Transformation Technique.

Koji Mine naturally wouldn’t be wary of a bizarre walking chair, and was directly caught off guard and defeated by Kotetsu Hagane’s single strike.

“Eh, isn’t this Kotetsu Hagane, one of the three Ninjutsu talents that the Ninja Academy was buzzing about? I didn’t expect this Enemy Confusion Technique to have such a clever use.” Ueda Aya praised Kotetsu Hagane’s combat intelligence.

“And his Clone Technique and Transformation Technique are already very proficient, even better than the students in my class,” Ueda Aya exclaimed.

She taught Ninjutsu for Second Grade, and even the student with the best Ninjutsu grades in her class wasn’t as good as Kotetsu Hagane in front of her.

Purely in terms of Clone Technique proficiency, Ueda Aya believed Kotetsu Hagane had already reached a level sufficient for graduation.

It was truly a very standard Clone Technique.

Kotetsu Hagane’s opponent, Koji Mine, also performed very well, enough to easily defeat most of the students in her class.

Ueda Aya praised Kotetsu Hagane while grading him. For the Ninjutsu part of the score, she directly gave Kotetsu Hagane a perfect 10 points.

It would truly be a bit excessive not to give full marks for this level of Ninjutsu in First Grade. As for Taijutsu, Ueda Aya only gave 7.1 points, which could only be described as above average compared to his Ninjutsu.

There’s no need to even mention Koji Mine’s Taijutsu; Ueda Aya only gave 5 points.

Both performed generally in Shuriken throwing, so Ueda Aya also only gave 5 points.

However, both had decent hand seal levels, Kotetsu Hagane 8 points and Koji Mine 7.5 points.

Finally, Ueda Aya calculated the total score, and Kotetsu Hagane’s score was as high as 30.1 points.

This score was already considered a very high score. Ninja Academy combat scoring is very strict; generally, over twenty points indicates a very good level, and over thirty is considered very excellent.

“Kotetsu works very hard in his studies,” Muzuki said, nodding.

Although he didn’t know if Kotetsu Hagane practiced at home, he was sure that Kotetsu Hagane spent a lot of time studying at home. When he collected the papers, he briefly glanced at them and knew the scores would be very high.

“The second exam is about to begin. Examinee Number Three, Izumo Kamizuki, and Examinee Number Four, Yuki Koizumi, prepare for the exam,” Muzuki called out after finishing the grading.

“This time, it’s my turn!” Izumo Kamizuki said with a smile, high-fiving Kotetsu Hagane, who was walking towards him.

“Izumo, you can do it!” Anko raised her small fist, cheering on her good brother.

Izumo Kamizuki’s combat was a bit more stable than Kotetsu Hagane’s. He didn’t disguise himself as a chair like Kotetsu Hagane, but instead found an opportunity to use the Enemy Confusion Technique to conjure a three-meter tall, blue-faced, fanged monster to scare Yuki Koizumi, thus winning the battle in one go.

“Izumo Kamizuki, this is also one of those three Ninjutsu talents, right? He really is a talent!” Ueda Aya felt that Kotetsu Hagane and Izumo Kamizuki truly deserved to be called talents, in the positive sense of the word.

Izumo Kamizuki’s demonstrated Ninjutsu level was also excellent. Ueda Aya also gave Izumo Kamizuki full marks for his Ninjutsu, with a total score of 30.5. Izumo Kamizuki’s hand seals were slightly higher than Kotetsu Hagane’s.

Ueda Aya initially thought that the student quality in the first two rounds was relatively high, but then she realized she was wrong. After grading up to the fifth round, she hadn’t given any student less than eight points for Ninjutsu.

All students’ Three Body Technique performances were excellent.

“Examinee Number Eleven, Anko Mitarashi, and Examinee Number Twelve, Keiji Shima, prepare for the exam.”

“You two watch closely. I’ll show you what true Enemy Confusion Technique is!” Anko declared that Kotetsu Hagane’s and Izumo Kamizuki’s Enemy Confusion Technique were both lacking.

“What’s wrong with a chair? As long as you can win, that’s all that matters!” Kotetsu Hagane retorted, unconvinced.

“Could it be even scarier than my illusion?” Izumo Kamizuki also felt his approach was the best.

Anko didn’t respond to the two. Actual combat was the best demonstration.

Keiji Shima’s Taijutsu was inferior to Anko’s, and he was suppressed by Anko from the start.

Anko, not letting up, quickly formed hand seals and created seven or eight clones that looked like Keiji Shima, then she herself used the Transformation Technique to transform into Keiji Shima’s appearance.

In an instant, the examination area was filled with Keiji Shima running everywhere, and Anko’s figure directly disappeared.

“Teacher Muzuki, your student, she really is a talent!” Ueda Aya said, dumbfounded. She had been a teacher for several years and had supervised countless exams, but this was the first time she had seen such a situation.

“Her thinking is out of the ordinary,” Muzuki said after some thought.

Keiji Shima watched himself running around, feeling utterly bewildered. He carefully watched every one of himself, but in the end, he was still caught off guard and defeated by Anko’s single strike.

Anko’s Ninjutsu naturally received a perfect ten points. Ueda Aya could even say that Anko’s ten points were because the maximum score was only ten points; Anko’s Ninjutsu level was stronger than Kotetsu Hagane’s and Izumo Kamizuki’s.

In the end, Anko received a high score of thirty-six, with perfect scores in everything except Taijutsu and Shuriken throwing.

Ueda Aya felt like she wasn’t supervising First Grade, but rather Third Grade and Fourth Grade.

The Ninjutsu level of these students was simply too high, beyond her imagination.

She had also supervised Class 1, Grade 1 last time. While they were excellent then, it wasn’t as exaggerated as it was now.

Back then, she even said that Class 1, Grade 1’s level was almost comparable to her Second Grade class. Now, she felt her own class was unworthy.

“Teacher Muzuki, the Ninjutsu level of your class is truly amazing. All the teachers in the entire Ninja Academy should learn from you how to teach Ninjutsu,” Ueda Aya praised.

One or two outstanding students might be due to their own talent, but for the entire class to have outstanding Ninjutsu grades, it must be because the teacher taught well. Where would so many geniuses come from?

“It’s all the students’ own hard work. I just try my best to teach,” Muzuki said modestly.

With his mastery of the Three Body Technique and teaching skills, let alone the Ninja Academy teachers, no one in the entire Konoha could teach these three Ninjutsu better than him.

“Examinee Number Thirty-eight, Uchiha Shisui, prepare for the exam…”

Hearing Shisui’s name, Ueda Aya also perked up. This was the student she was most looking forward to; he had already shown strength comparable to Kakashi of the same age last time.
