Chapter Index

【Enlightenment: You are good at resolving students’ doubts, and your thinking becomes more agile when contemplating their questions.】

Muzuki showed a thoughtful expression; the system’s explanation was too concise.

What kind of person is considered a student for Enlightenment? Someone who has listened to his lectures? Or someone who genuinely acknowledges him as their teacher? Or someone whom Muzuki acknowledges as a student in his heart?

Being good at resolving students’ doubts, does that mean Enlightenment has an effect similar to Professor, but only activates when a student has a question?

The latter part is easy to understand: it’s about accelerating problem-solving, but only for students’ doubts.

Muzuki felt that the Enlightenment skill was a bit like Professor and Insight stitched together, with the first half being a limited Professor and the second half a limited Insight.

Muzuki thought carefully and felt that these three skills were strong in their own ways and difficult to compare.

“Tomorrow morning’s class will still be about Chakra Nature Transformation, specifically covering Wind Release, Yang Release, and Yin Release.” Muzuki withdrew his thoughts and announced the next day’s teaching schedule.

The achievement reward had already been granted, but the S-rank settlement reward for the advanced class was excellent, so Muzuki would try his best to teach these seven days of lessons well.

“He even excels in Yin Release and Yang Release? How did he cultivate?” Hearing that Muzuki was going to explain three more Chakra Nature Transformations, Hanzō was very confused.

If Muzuki were the same age as him, it would be one thing, but Muzuki didn’t look old, so where did he find so much time to cultivate so many abilities?

Hanzō had originally planned to leave, as his identity would be very embarrassing if exposed.

But Hanzō really wanted to hear Muzuki’s explanation of Yin and Yang Chakra Nature Transformation, so he decided to stay for another day.

“If Sōsuke were an Iwagakure Ninja, that would be great.” Kitsuchi said with a look of regret.

After listening to Muzuki’s lecture, Kitsuchi believed that Muzuki alone could rival a Ninja force of one thousand five hundred people.

Muzuki’s strength could match five hundred Ninja, and Muzuki’s teaching ability could match one thousand Ninja!

Unfortunately, there was no ‘if.’ Now, the Shinobi Sect in the Land of Rain was similar to the Amegakure; Muzuki was essentially another Hanzō. They couldn’t invite Hanzō to join Iwagakure, and Hanzō wouldn’t agree.

“Would he agree if we entrusted Sōsuke with training assistance?” Kitsuchi thought of a good method.

Although Muzuki could not join Iwagakure, Iwagakure could use a commissioned mission to ask Muzuki for help.

Kitsuchi kept this idea in mind, preparing to report it to Ōnoki when he submitted his mission report.

Iwagakure had a plan to use the Shinobi Sect to wear down Konoha’s strength, which involved Iwagakure’s grand Shinobi war strategy, so Kitsuchi couldn’t decide on his own.

“Ninja Master Sōsuke, could you use Fire Release to have a fight with me?” Pakura stepped forward and asked Muzuki.

Since she had only studied for one day, and Pakura herself was a well-known figure in the Ninja World, Pakura only addressed Muzuki as ‘Ninja Master,’ not ‘Teacher.’

“I have mastered a Bloodline Limit called Scorch Release, which can release very high-temperature flames. I want to witness the Fire Release that defeated the Demigod.” With the mindset of’since I’m already here,’ Pakura wanted to see Muzuki’s Fire Release in combat.

Pakura’s words made the dispersing crowd stop and look at Muzuki.

Hanzō’s face darkened. Would she die if she didn’t mention him? Did Sōsuke’s Fire Release never win against anyone else?

“Yes.” Muzuki thought for a moment and agreed.

For the Shinobi Sect, which was about to make a big splash in the Land of Rain, the more battle achievements and fame their leader had, the better.

Moreover, with his current strength, fighting Pakura was an easy task.

The Ninja all showed excited expressions; it was not easy to witness a powerhouse of Ninja Master Sōsuke’s caliber in action.

After all, powerhouses of this level undertake the most secretive missions and are rarely seen. If one were seen during wartime, it would be disastrous, perhaps because they had become an enemy.

The Ninja retreated, creating enough space for the two to fight, watching from a distance.

“I wonder how long this Hidden Sand Village hero can last.”

“It shouldn’t be less than three minutes, right? She’s a well-known powerhouse from the Hidden Sand Village after all.”

No one believed Pakura could defeat Muzuki; everyone was discussing when Pakura would lose.

Even the other Sunagakure Ninja didn’t favor their own powerhouse, as Ninja Master Sōsuke’s reputation preceded him, having even defeated a Demigod with a disadvantageous attribute.

    “Make your move.” Muzuki said.

Pakura nodded without hesitation, directly concentrating all her Chakra and fully using her Bloodline Limit.

    “Scorch Release: Incinerating Steam Murder!”

Seven head-sized dark fireballs rapidly formed and orbited around Pakura, then, under Pakura’s control, swiftly hurled towards Muzuki.

Muzuki focused his Breathing Technique and instantly entered Flame Breathing Chakra Mode to enhance his Fire Release ability.

    “Fire Release: Fire Dragon Dance!”

A massive amount of Chakra gathered in Muzuki’s throat, then, amplified by the Flame Breathing Chakra Mode, it was all converted into powerful Fire Release.

Muzuki formed a Tiger hand seal, then exhaled a vast expanse of terrifyingly high-temperature flames.

Muzuki in Flame Breathing Chakra Mode usually didn’t need hand seals, but Muzuki was accustomed to pretending to form hand seals after transforming into his alias.

Fierce flames were continuously exhaled by Muzuki. Due to the intensity and extremely high temperature of the fire, the surrounding temperature rapidly soared, and the observing Ninja quickly became drenched in sweat.

“That’s the Jutsu!” Hanzō stared at Muzuki. That was the Ninjutsu Muzuki used to cleanly defeat him back then.

Hanzō still couldn’t forget the scene from that day.

Because it was a rainy day, the sky was gloomy, and the Fire Release unleashed by Muzuki brought a large amount of light and heat, making it extremely dazzling.

As the strongest Water Release Ninja in the current Ninja World, he believed that with his elemental advantage and weather advantage, he wouldn’t lose. Then, his Water Release was swallowed by Muzuki’s Fire Dragon Dance.

“Overestimating herself. Such a level wants to challenge Fire Dragon Dance.” Kakuzu said with disdain.

When he fought Muzuki, Muzuki once instantly killed four of his lives with a single Fire Dragon Dance.

Later, as Kakuzu understood Muzuki better, he realized that Muzuki had held back at that time. If Muzuki hadn’t lacked the intent to kill, his five lives would have been completely wiped out.

“Is this what a true powerhouse is like?”

The observing Ninja were all sweating profusely. The pressure on Pakura, who had to face the Fire Dragon Dance head-on, was imaginable; it was maxed out in every sense.

Overwhelming flames surged towards Pakura. Pakura controlled her Scorch Release flames to resist, but the gap was simply too large, and soon the Scorch Release flames dissipated within the sea of fire.

Muzuki’s perfect-level Fire Release, combined with the amplification of Flame Breathing Chakra Mode, made this level of attack too advanced for Pakura.

The sea of fire split into six massive fire dragons, sealing off all of Pakura’s escape routes. At that moment, Pakura seemed to have already seen her fate of turning to ashes.

But just as the fire dragons charged in front of Pakura, Muzuki canceled the Ninjutsu, and the sky-filling flames dissipated.

An instant kill, an undeniable instant kill.

Except for Hanzō, Kakuzu, and Kitsuchi, who had already witnessed the might of Muzuki’s Fire Dragon Dance, the other Ninja were all astonished.

Although everyone knew that Ninja Master Sōsuke’s Fire Release was very strong, hearing about it and personally witnessing Sōsuke use Fire Release to instantly kill a powerhouse like the Hidden Sand Village hero were two different things.

“If it’s Fire Release like this, defeating Hanzō, the Demigod most skilled in Water Release, is indeed very reasonable.” A Ninja seemed to see Muzuki and Hanzō fiercely battling within that terrifying Fire Release.

“Yes, in terms of Fire Release mastery, no one will be stronger than Lord Sōsuke.” The surrounding Ninja agreed.

Hearing that Muzuki defeated Hanzō with Fire Release seemed absurd, but seeing it live, it would be unreasonable if this Fire Release could be easily extinguished by Water Release like ordinary Fire Release.

“Ninja Master Sōsuke, thank you for holding back.” Pakura recovered and thanked Muzuki.

Since she was the one who initiated the battle, it wouldn’t have mattered if Muzuki had injured her, as she had asked for it herself.

“No need.” Muzuki replied with a faint smile.

After returning to the Ninzong Base, Muzuki tried to test the effect of his new skill, Enlightenment.

Muzuki’s method was simple: he randomly wrote some large-number multiplication and division problems and gave them to Nagato, then had Nagato ask him if he didn’t understand, and Muzuki would solve and explain the problems.

Muzuki would then do a set of problems himself that he hadn’t given to Nagato, comparing the feeling to naturally know if Nagato was considered a student by Enlightenment.

The final test result was that Enlightenment was triggered. Muzuki could clearly perceive that he was much faster when doing the problems he had given to Nagato.

“In that case, does this mean that all disciples can be within the scope of Enlightenment’s students?” Muzuki speculated in his mind.

This possibility was very high, as the system was clearly biased towards disciples, and it wouldn’t reward a teaching-type skill that disciples couldn’t use.

However, since Obito and the others were all in Konoha, Muzuki couldn’t test it for now.

Next, Muzuki began to test non-disciples. He first found Konan and Yahiko, and the result was also successful; they were also recognized as students by Enlightenment.

Muzuki then found several recently joined Shinobi Sect members, but Enlightenment failed to trigger.

“It seems that one must have studied with me for at least a period of time to be judged as a student by Enlightenment.” Muzuki finally concluded.

Enlightenment’s judgment was quite lenient, and Muzuki instantly thought of many ways to develop Enlightenment.

For example, with the Yang Seal he was currently perfecting, if Tsunade, who was helping, was deemed a student, then his speed in developing the Yang Seal would accelerate.

Another example was the various Breathing Techniques he wanted to develop. If he assigned tasks to his disciples to ponder during lectures, those could also become doubts, accelerating Muzuki’s research on Breathing Techniques.

However, as Muzuki continued testing, he discovered a problem: if the previous disciple’s doubt was not resolved, the boost for the next doubt would diminish, becoming almost negligible after five doubts.

Fortunately, Enlightenment also had conditions to trigger. The student must communicate with Muzuki, the student must have a doubt, and Muzuki must have the intention to resolve the doubt for it to truly trigger. Otherwise, if a student could just blurt out a couple of sentences to trigger a doubt, the skill would be useless.

Additionally, there was a technique to resolving doubts. For example, if a student asked how to become the strongest in the Ninja World, Muzuki only needed to devise a training plan for him, and that would count as successfully resolving the doubt, rather than the student actually having to become the strongest.
