Chapter Index

“Is it that Ninja named Orochimaru again?”

Senju Tobirama found himself summoned via Edo Tensei once more, his brow furrowing slightly.

“To think even the Corpse Reanimation Seal has been broken.”

Hiruzen Sarutobi spoke with a look of surprise on his face.

Logically speaking, those sealed by the Shinigami should not be able to be summoned by Edo Tensei. Yet here they were, meaning Orochimaru had cracked the Corpse Reanimation Seal.

“Lords Hokage, I have no ill intentions this time. It’s just that Sasuke has some matters he wishes to ask you.”

    “Orochimaru” spoke up to explain.

Due to the matter regarding Uchiha Itachi, the current Sasuke was very lost. He wanted to learn the truth as much as possible before deciding whether to help Konoha or destroy it.

“The Hokage, huh? And who are you two?”

Senju Hashirama looked in confusion at the two young Ninja he didn’t recognize.

    “I am the Fourth Hokage.”

Minato Namikaze turned his back, revealing the five large characters embroidered on the back of his haori.

“I should be the future Sixth Hokage.”

    Obito replied, rubbing his chin.

In truth, he was quite bewildered. The moment he opened his eyes, all his companions were gone, and instead, a character from his nightmares had appeared.

“What is the point of me creating the Ninja Academy? What was my original intention for issuing this policy? I…”

Looking at Senju Tobirama’s profile, Obito felt as if he heard that voice from his dreams again, sending a chill down his spine.

“Obito, even you were brought back by Edo Tensei? And you’ve grown so much.”

Minato Namikaze looked at Obito in great surprise, not expecting to see his disciple again under these circumstances.

Minato’s voice interrupted Obito’s thoughts, but before he could explain, Orochimaru spoke up:

“Minato, look closer. He’s a living person. I just don’t know why he appeared alongside you.”

He knew exactly how many people he had summoned with Edo Tensei. Yet the moment he completed the jutsu, Obito—who should have been on the battlefield—inexplicably appeared in the Nanga Shrine.

Though Obito’s arrival was strange, “Orochimaru” didn’t panic at all.

There were too many powerhouses here. Even if the person who arrived was Uchiha Madara, he would have no choice but to admit defeat.

“Uh, how should I put this… I’m not the Obito you know, so I’m not dead.”

Obito thought for a moment and offered an explanation.

“I see. Does Obito have a twin brother?”

Minato Namikaze showed a look of sudden realization.

“I’m afraid that’s not it. The Uchiha Clan is nearly extinct due to an attempted coup. The only survivors should be Itachi and Sasuke.”

Hiruzen Sarutobi believed things weren’t that simple.

“A coup again? As expected of the inherently evil Uchiha Clan.”

    Senju Tobirama wasn’t too surprised.

Back when he served as the Second Hokage, the Uchiha Clan caused plenty of trouble. It was only because he nipped their coups in the bud before they could even begin.

    “You’re an Uchiha too?”

Sasuke looked at Obito in confusion. He had thought that only he and Uchiha Madara were the last Uchiha left in this world.

“Setting that aside, white-haired old man, you’re the Second Hokage, right? How can you generalize our entire clan like that?”

Obito said with a look of displeasure.

This inherently evil White-haired geezer not only gave him nightmares but also started insulting him the moment they met.

“It is a fact. When an Uchiha experiences strong emotion, their brain produces a special kind of Chakra that acts on the optic nerves, causing the eyes to change. Then…”

Senju Tobirama seriously explained why he called the Uchiha an “inherently evil” clan.

He wasn’t hurling insults out of personal spite; his claims were based on research.

“So that’s the truth behind the Sharingan.”

Obito wore an impressed expression as if he had gained new knowledge.

Senju Tobirama, a non-Uchiha, knew more about the Uchiha than he did. This White-haired geezer really did have some skill.

“But I still have some questions. What was your purpose in establishing the Ninja Academy? Was it to protect children, strengthen the Hokage’s power, or weaken the influence of the Ninja clans? Also, those policies of yours…”

Obito kept firing questions at Senju Tobirama and then proceeded to answer them himself.

If it were his former self, he might have been troubled by these questions. But after a long period of hard study, he was no longer the same. These questions could no longer stump him.

“To have researched my policies and measures so thoroughly… you Uchiha brat are quite interesting.”

Senju Tobirama crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow, finding that this Uchiha youth who claimed to be the future Sixth Hokage did indeed have some level of competence.

Obito couldn’t help but show a smug expression.

He had intentionally asked and answered his own questions to show off his skill. From now on, Senju Tobirama would no longer be his nightmare!

“Studying past policies is nothing. The key is to be grounded in the present.”

“Do you have any ideas for optimizing Konoha’s various departments? How can we make the Village more prosperous? How much thought have you given to…”

Seeing this, Senju Tobirama directly asked dozens of questions.

While studying the experiences of predecessors was important, one couldn’t be entirely without their own ideas.

Obito was dazed by the string of questions. He couldn’t answer most of them well.

Because as for what to do after becoming Hokage, he hadn’t given it much thought yet. Minato Namikaze had only just become Hokage, and it was still way too early for him to be Hokage.

“You’re still far from being ready to become Hokage, kid.”

    Senju Tobirama said indifferently.

“Everyone has things they aren’t good at. Let me ask you a few questions. I don’t believe you can answer them all.”

Refusing to back down, Obito randomly pulled a test paper out of a scroll.

This wasn’t one of Muzuki’s tests, but one Obito had collected himself. Some were summarized by him, some he had paid people to write, and some were bought from stores.

It wasn’t that Obito liked doing problems for no reason; he had prepared them for his future disciples.

Problem-solving training was a good thing passed down by the Muzuki Immortal; it couldn’t be lost.

    “Why are these the questions?”

Obito glanced at it and found that they were all questions related to Senju Tobirama.

Some were about Senju Tobirama’s policies, and some were about Senju Tobirama’s literary works.

Besides writing various reports for work, Senju Tobirama would occasionally write articles when the mood struck him, such as describing the cruel wars of the Warring States Period.

Obito had already confirmed the policies and didn’t need to ask further, so he asked questions about the literary works.

Hearing this, Senju Tobirama gave a faint smile. Wasn’t this stuff he had written himself? How could he not know the answers?

“Why is the color of the armor in the work blue?”

    Obito asked.

    “Because I like blue armor.”

    Senju Tobirama replied confidently.

His favorite color was blue, and his own armor was blue.

Obito, who had already lost hope, instantly showed an expression of wild joy.

“Wrong! Blue is a synonym for melancholy, representing how the cruel war at the time made the author…”

Obito rapidly recited the standard answer.

Fearing Senju Tobirama wouldn’t believe him, he placed the answer sheet directly into Senju Tobirama’s hand.

Looking at the answer in his hand, Senju Tobirama’s brow furrowed into a deep frown.

“Hahaha, so it turns out you don’t even know what your own articles are about, Tobirama!”

Senju Hashirama laughed mercilessly, only stopping after a glare from Senju Tobirama, though his face still beamed with joy.

Seeing this, Suigetsu Hozuki felt that these legendary Ninja didn’t seem like much; they didn’t look very reliable.

“None of this matters. I want to know about Itachi and the Village so I can decide whether or not to destroy Konoha.”

Seeing Obito and Senju Tobirama chatting, Sasuke interrupted.

He hadn’t brought these people back with Edo Tensei just to watch them chat.

“Destroy Konoha? You inherently evil brat!”

Obito couldn’t help but let his Chakra explode.

He was a man who was going to become Hokage. Talking about destroying Konoha in front of him—wasn’t that a slap in the face?

A mere Sasuke dared to be so arrogant. When he traveled back, he would definitely strictly supervise “Sasuke’s” education.

    “Hmph!”

Sasuke gave a cold snort, his Mangekyo Sharingan manifesting as he glared at Obito.

“It’s just a Mangekyo. As if I don’t have one too.”

Not to be outdone, Obito activated his Mangekyo Sharingan and glared back.

    Boom!

“You Uchiha, you truly please me.”

Senju Tobirama was very satisfied with Obito. This was his ideal Uchiha Ninja. He also followed suit, letting his Chakra explode.

The error-free version is being read! 6=9+Book_Bar first release of this novel.

The powerful aura hammered against Sasuke’s group of four, making their expressions turn solemn.

    Boom!

At that moment, Senju Hashirama also released his Chakra.

Because his Chakra was too powerful, even just releasing his aura caused the entire Nanga Shrine to shake violently, as if an earthquake were occurring.

    “So terrifying!”

Feeling this aura that was powerful beyond description, Suigetsu Hozuki was almost scared into a puddle. His body kept liquefying as he silently retracted his previous assessment.

“I still underestimated the power of the God of Shinobi. I’m afraid even I can’t control him now.”

    Even “Orochimaru” was incredibly surprised.

    He secretly gathered his Chakra.

Orochimaru wasn’t preparing to fight Senju Hashirama, as that was a battle that absolutely could not be won.

He wanted to release the Edo Tensei the moment Senju Hashirama made a move.

“Tobirama, don’t scare children who don’t know any better.”

Senju Hashirama shook his head at Senju Tobirama.

He could see that Sasuke was in a very lost period; this was a youth who needed proper guidance.

Seeing his elder brother speak, Senju Tobirama finally withdrew his aura.

Then, Hiruzen Sarutobi recounted the matter of Uchiha Itachi.

Only then did Obito learn that Uchiha Madara’s information was actually mostly true. Uchiha Itachi really was forced to massacre his clan and then go undercover in the Akatsuki Organization.

“Shisui even misunderstood him. I’ll have to mention it when I see Shisui.”

Obito silently made a note of it.

Immediately after, Senju Hashirama began to recount the history of Konoha. Obito, who was familiar with history, had no interest in listening to this, so he asked “Orochimaru”:

    “What is the date today?”

Obito remembered that when Naruto traveled through time, the time in Naruto’s world was October 7th.

If the current time was before October 7th, then he was early; otherwise, he was late.

    “October 9th.”

    Orochimaru replied.

    “Two days late, huh.”

Obito did a quick mental calculation but didn’t panic.

Muzuki had warned them several times before they traveled that everyone except Naruto and Killer Bee might encounter some errors in time and location after traveling.

However, with Celebi’s help, they wouldn’t have a massive error of several years like Naruto and Hundred Feet; at most, it would fluctuate by two or three days.

For a Shinobi World War, two or three days really wasn’t much.

In Obito’s memory, the duration of a Shinobi World War was measured in years.

“Minato-sensei, actually, I’m not a Ninja of this world. I’m the Uchiha Obito from another world.”

Taking advantage of this time, Obito explained the matter of parallel worlds to Minato Namikaze.

At first, even Senju Tobirama was a bit skeptical, but there was too much evidence, and Senju Tobirama had no choice but to believe it.

“Orochimaru” was one of the witnesses. Since Kabuto knew about the parallel world, it meant he knew as well.

“In other words, ‘you’ already died in the war?”

Senju Tobirama felt it was a bit of a pity.

Such an excellent Uchiha wasn’t a Ninja of their world, and Obito’s counterpart had sacrificed himself at such a young age.

“It was my mistake. If I had been a bit faster then, perhaps Obito wouldn’t have died.”

Minato Namikaze said with a face full of self-reproach.

By the time he had rushed over and saved Kakashi and Rin Nohara from the Iwagakure Ninja, “Obito” had already been crushed to death by a giant rock.

Seeing how excellent the Obito from the parallel world was, Minato Namikaze felt a sense of guilt, as if he had destroyed an excellent Ninja.

“After all, Minato-sensei, you were burdened with an important mission and couldn’t look after everything.”

Obito spoke up to comfort him.

War was no joke. Even if a powerhouse like Minato Namikaze was willing, the Hokage wouldn’t let him act as a babysitter for his disciples all the time.

The more Obito comforted him, the more melancholy Minato Namikaze became.

What a good disciple, to have sacrificed himself in the war like that.

“What powerful Chakra. And that fellow Madara is actually here too.”

Senju Tobirama, who had strong sensory abilities, sensed something and used his full sensory power, detecting Uchiha Madara’s Chakra.

“Uchiha Madara is already fighting on the battlefield? Then I’ll head over first.”

Hearing that the biggest villain was already at the battlefield, Obito didn’t wait for the others and rushed to the battlefield first.

Obito couldn’t say for sure what the situation was with the others, but Naruto was definitely on the battlefield right now.

As Obito was rushing along, a segment of memory suddenly appeared in Obito’s mind out of thin air.

    “? I am ‘Uchiha Madara’?!”

Because the content of the memory was too shocking, Obito could no longer control his expression.

However, he still didn’t stop his advance, rapidly flashing toward the battlefield.

This Shinobi World War was too different from the Third Shinobi World War he had experienced. He was only two days late, and yet the war was almost over.

    Whoosh!

Since his Shadow Clone had left behind a Flying Thunder God Kunai, Obito relied on his early start and precise positioning to arrive at the battlefield first.

“I’m not too late, am I?”

    Obito said somewhat sheepishly.

“Very late. Were there Grandmas and grandpas in the time rift who needed you to help them across?”

    Kakashi rolled his eyes.

    “Obito, you’re a bastard.”

    Nagato said solemnly.

“I’m not exactly a bastard, am I? I couldn’t help it. The moment I opened my eyes, it was the night of the 9th, and I was still in Konoha.”

    Obito explained.

“I’m cursing on behalf of the Shadow Clone.”

Obito:…Damn White-haired geezer, not even improving a Ninjutsu with such a big flaw.

“There are more reinforcements coming. I’m going to protect Little Rin first.”

Without explaining much, Obito immediately activated Kamui and entered the Kamui Dimension.

He was worried that Kakashi alone wouldn’t be able to handle Broken Mask Obito.
