Chapter Index

On Sunday, Muzuki gave his disciples a day off. He had previously arranged the next meeting time with Kushina through the Ninja who delivered meals, agreeing to meet her on the weekend.

The agreed meeting time was 9 AM.

Muzuki arrived at the designated location ten minutes early. Regardless of who he was meeting, this was Muzuki’s habit; he liked to arrive a bit early.

With these extra ten minutes, even if something unexpected happened, he wouldn’t be late.

It was only because they were in Konoha, where travel relied entirely on their own two feet and there were no cars to get stuck in traffic, otherwise Muzuki might have left even more buffer time.

When Muzuki arrived, he didn’t see Kushina. After about five minutes, Muzuki saw Kushina hurrying over.

“Oh, Muzuki, you’re already here. Am I late?” Kushina was a little surprised to see Muzuki already standing there.

She thought that as a teacher, she should arrive first, so she planned to arrive early, but she didn’t expect Muzuki to still be earlier than her.

“Could it be that the clock is broken?” Kushina scratched her head, thinking to herself.

“You’re not late; you’re even a bit early compared to the scheduled time. But I arrived even earlier than you,” Muzuki said with a smile.

Although he had a habit of arriving early himself, he never expected others to do the same. He only hoped that the people he was meeting wouldn’t be late.

“Ahem, student Muzuki, you’re quite diligent. You should be just as diligent when we start learning later,” Kushina cleared her throat twice and began to get into character.

“I’m a very strict teacher. Even Minato gets punished if he doesn’t study hard,” Kushina tried to say with a stern face.

Unfortunately, Kushina didn’t seem to have a talent for this; her stern face didn’t look serious at all, but rather a bit like she was about to laugh.

“Teacher Kushina, don’t worry, I’ll definitely study hard. Considering your hard work in teaching, I specially brought some desserts I made for you to try,” Muzuki said with a chuckle, taking out a box and handing it to Kushina.

Hearing that they were desserts made by Muzuki himself, Kushina’s eyes immediately lit up. Her intention to maintain a dignified teacher’s image flew out the window, and she quickly took the box, thanking him:

“Muzuki, you’re too versatile! You can even make desserts. Thank you so much.”

After thanking him, Kushina eagerly opened the box, but inside were not the wagashi, daifuku, or cakes she imagined, but rather square white pastries.

“What kind of dessert is this?” Kushina asked curiously.

Although she had never seen this kind of dessert, she knew from the scent that its taste would definitely not be bad.

“This is Osmanthus Cake. I tried making it myself; you can’t buy it at dessert shops outside,” Muzuki explained.

“Amazing!” Kushina gave Muzuki a thumbs up, then immediately picked up a piece and ate it.

The moment it entered her mouth, Kushina felt the sweet and soft texture of the Osmanthus Cake. It was very sweet but didn’t make her feel cloyed, and then the fresh scent of osmanthus left a cool sensation in her mouth.

In a daze, Kushina felt as if she was in the scorching summer, then jumped into a cool flower pond, enveloped by the fragrance and coolness.

“It’s so delicious!” Kushina, coming back to her senses, exclaimed.

“Good to hear it’s delicious. I was worried you wouldn’t be used to the taste,” Muzuki said with a smile.

“You’re a cunning student, aren’t you? Are you thinking that after I’ve received a favor, I won’t feel comfortable punishing you?” Kushina said with a smiling face, joking.

“So, Teacher, will you accept it?”

“Of course I will!” Kushina quickly replied. Jokes could be made, but desserts could not be returned.

“Such delicious things can’t be eaten all at once. I’ll save some for later,” Kushina thought to herself.

Then, the two walked towards their previous teaching location.

As they walked, Kushina’s heart was extremely conflicted.

“This dessert is so delicious, one piece didn’t even let me taste it properly. I’ll just have one more, there are still over ten pieces anyway.” Ultimately, Kushina decided to try one more piece.

With this bite, Kushina once again experienced an unprecedented deliciousness.

“I’ve already eaten two pieces, so one more won’t hurt,” Kushina couldn’t resist eating another piece.

Piece after piece, she kept breaking her resolve. When they were almost at their destination, Kushina instinctively reached into the box, found nothing, and looked inside to see it was empty.

“Is something wrong?” Muzuki asked, seeing Kushina suddenly stop.

“Haha, nothing,” Kushina silently closed the box and gave an awkward laugh.

She couldn’t very well say that she was just thinking about how to eat more Osmanthus Cake.

Even Kushina, with her thick skin, felt a bit embarrassed to ask for more right after finishing them.

“Kushina’s Sealing Technique class is now in session. Student Muzuki, please answer: What power maintains the Four Symbols Sealing?” Kushina began her Sealing Technique lesson.

“The circulating power of the Four Symbols,” Muzuki replied.

“Then, will the sealing power of the Four Symbols Sealing remain constant?”

“No, it will weaken over time and needs to be reinforced,” Muzuki continued to answer.

“Very good, it seems you haven’t forgotten the knowledge I taught you.” Kushina nodded in satisfaction.

Then Kushina asked a few more questions to confirm that Muzuki had mastered the previous content before she began teaching new material.

Muzuki quickly immersed himself in Kushina’s teaching. Kushina’s teaching style was standard, but her knowledge of Sealing Technique was truly profound. Coupled with his own talent for Sealing Technique, Muzuki’s progress in Sealing Technique soared while studying with Kushina.

By 1 PM, Muzuki’s proficiency in Four Symbols Sealing had reached fifty points, still at the beginner level.

When it was time for lunch, Muzuki directly invited Kushina to eat. It was the same restaurant as last time, and he borrowed the kitchen to make a lavish lunch for Kushina.

“Although the meals delivered were also delicious, hot dishes freshly made are indeed even better,” Kushina said with a blissful expression.

After lunch, Kushina’s free time was almost up. After handing the cultivation scroll to Muzuki, she returned to the Uzumaki Sealing House with Anbu.

After bidding farewell to Kushina, Muzuki went to check on the progress of his Shadow Clone’s blacksmithing.

Although Obito said he liked anything as a gift, Muzuki knew from Obito’s envious gaze at Shisui’s birthday that Obito definitely wanted a Ninja tool forged by Muzuki himself.

However, to differentiate between the two disciples, Muzuki was forging a standard Kunai this time, rather than another short blade.

Although it was a standard Kunai, Muzuki planned to show his sincerity through details, such as engraving complex dragon patterns on the Kunai, carving Obito’s name on both sides of the Kunai, and then engraving the Uchiha clan crest on the grip.

When Muzuki arrived, he found that the Kunai was largely complete, only lacking some refined small details.

“Time is abundant; there are still six days,” Muzuki nodded inwardly.

The previous emotions had already been raised very high, directly upgrading to Trust Level Four, and a Perfect-grade reward was also given. Muzuki felt it would be difficult to get such a super-explosion of rewards for this birthday.

He would be quite pleased to get a Master-grade reward because even without a reward, he had to carefully prepare a gift. Firstly, he couldn’t let his disciples feel he was favoring the disciple whose birthday came first, and secondly, Obito had also given him a gift.

Next, Muzuki went to Asuma’s house for tutoring.

“Today, I’ll teach you Wind Release Nature Transformation,” Muzuki said with a smile, revealing the new content he would teach Asuma.

“I knew, Teacher Muzuki, that you’d quickly master Wind Release,” Asuma said happily.

“It’s alright, a bit smoother than I imagined,” Muzuki humbly replied and then began teaching.

“For Wind Nature Transformation, try to imagine it as thin and sharp.”

Muzuki plucked a leaf, and Chakra condensed in his hand, rapidly undergoing Nature Transformation. In an instant, the leaf was cut into several pieces.

“Or like a shockwave of airflow.”

Muzuki quickly formed hand signs, condensed Chakra in his throat, then opened his mouth and expelled transparent shockwaves. Trees and stones touched by the shockwaves were pierced through.

“Wind Release Chakra is like a blade; cutting and piercing are its strengths.”

Watching the hard stones being pierced by Muzuki, Asuma’s eyes widened. Muzuki’s Wind Release was even more powerful than he had imagined; he had mastered Wind Release of this level after only a few months of learning.

“Teacher Muzuki, I told you, how would you know if you’re good at something without learning it? You truly are a Wind Release genius!” Asuma was happy for both Muzuki and himself.

Muzuki’s strength had increased, and he now had a reliable Wind Release teacher for the future.

“Just a coincidence,” Muzuki said with a smile. In Hiruzen Sarutobi’s view, he was a Ninja who could fight using three Nature Transformation Ninjutsu.

“If you ask me, Teacher Muzuki, you just lack resources. Maybe you could even learn Lightning and Earth Nature Transformation,” Asuma believed Muzuki’s strength should be even greater.

“Let’s first continue to deeply study what you’ve already mastered,” Muzuki said with a chuckle, tapping Asuma’s head.

After studying Wind Release Chakra Nature Transformation with Muzuki for an entire afternoon, Asuma felt it was more useful than studying with a Jonin teacher for ten days.

When the training ended and they were about to part, Asuma said with a regretful expression:

“I should have graduated a year later. That way, I would have had a chance to intern with you, Teacher Muzuki.”

“It’s the same if you just diligently train with me now. If I have time, I’ll notify you in advance. After this internship period is over, I should have more time for tutoring,” Muzuki thought for a moment and said.

After sending Asuma home, Muzuki returned to his house in the Main urban area.

He first prepared dinner, and after eating, he studied Four Symbols Sealing for a while, then proceeded with the development of Water Breathing.

Breathing Technique was, after all, a forbidden jutsu. Even though Muzuki had already learned three Breathing Techniques, he found developing Water Breathing to be very difficult.

After all, Water Breathing had to have what other Breathing Techniques had. It needed to have the ability to enhance physical strength and also accelerate the speed of Water Release Chakra Nature Transformation.

3k, something came up and delayed me, so today might be a bit shorter, more to come later.
