Chapter 287 Tsunade wants to give up
by Sunflower“I want to develop a Sealing Technique that can store extra Chakra in the body, but this involves many Chakra points. How can I set up a Sealing Technique in the body without affecting the Chakra points?” Muzuki asked.
To get himself a power bank, Muzuki is now studying Sealing Technique with more effort than he put into his civil service exam. He thinks about Sealing Technique whenever he has free time.
He has already mastered half of the Sealing Techniques he has obtained, with the others mostly being over half-proficient.
In terms of Sealing Technique, Muzuki felt that even if he was lacking, it was only by a little. He had seen the panels of Jonin in the sealing class, and their proficiency and quality were not as good as his. What he lacked now was Medical Ninjutsu, to ensure he could complete the development steadily.
“Huh? Are you sure you’re here to ask about Medical Ninjutsu?” Tsunade retorted after hearing Muzuki’s question.
“I’m sure. It involves a lot of medical knowledge, like how to perform precise operations within the human body, doesn’t it?” Muzuki continued unhurriedly.
One of the reasons he paid first was his worry that Tsunade would tell him to leave immediately after hearing his first sentence. Now that Tsunade had already collected six hundred thousand Ryo, she had to at least listen to him for a few sentences.
Tsunade pondered for a moment. Developing such a Ninjutsu indeed required considerable Medical Ninjutsu skill.
Why was Tsunade so clear about it? Because she currently knew of a Ninjutsu similar to what Muzuki described.
It was a Sealing Technique passed down by her grandmother, Uzumaki Mito, called Yin Seal, which could store Chakra.
Tsunade had not learned this Ninjutsu because it had significant flaws and was difficult to learn.
However, this Ninjutsu had great potential, and Tsunade had previously been thinking about how to improve the Yin Seal or develop complementary Ninjutsu for it.
But that was in the past. Due to the deaths of her younger brother and lover, Tsunade now had no enthusiasm for Ninja matters. She knew that if her ideas succeeded, they could greatly increase strength, but she also felt it didn’t matter.
What good was being strong? The people she loved were all dead. No matter how much her Medical Ninjutsu improved, she could only heal the living, not bring the dead back to life.
Now, Tsunade only treated those research projects as a way to pass the time. Sometimes, when she was truly bored, didn’t want to drink, and had no money to gamble, she would research for a while.
“That’s true, but do you really understand the difficulty of the Ninjutsu you want to develop?” Tsunade said indifferently, hoping to make Muzuki retreat in the face of difficulty.
“First, this requires extremely high Sealing Technique proficiency. Playing with Sealing Technique inside your own body can easily affect it.”
Releasing Ninjutsu requires Chakra, using Taijutsu requires Chakra, and climbing walls or walking on water also requires Chakra. It can be said that the amount of Chakra largely determines a Ninja’s strength.
If one could easily create a Chakra power bank within their own body, it would have long become a must-have method for strong individuals. This is truly an extremely difficult task.
Muzuki adjusted his glasses, extended his hand, and then opened his palm to perform the Five Elements Seal. Five bright Chakra lights appeared in Muzuki’s hand.
“Five Elements Seal, to be able to perform it so smoothly.” Tsunade’s expression showed a slight surprise; this was already a considerably advanced Sealing Technique.
“I’m quite confident in my Sealing Technique. Additionally, I’ve also learned Four Symbols Sealing,” Muzuki said with a smile, dispersing his Chakra.
“You’ve even mastered Four Symbols Sealing.” Tsunade was even more surprised now. This was an extremely powerful Sealing Technique that even she hadn’t mastered. This meant that in terms of Sealing Technique alone, Muzuki was above her.
“What level is your Medical Ninjutsu at now?” Tsunade continued to ask.
Muzuki showed Tsunade his Chakra Scalpel and Mystical Palm Technique.
Tsunade got a headache after seeing them. To have mastered these two already made him a very competent Medical Ninja.
She knew with a moment’s thought that the upcoming answers would certainly not be easy.
If described with an analogy, Tsunade originally thought she needed to teach basic arithmetic, but it turned out she needed to teach advanced calculus.
“So troublesome. Why don’t I just have Shizune teach him instead?” Tsunade lay on the wooden corridor, and her inertia began to act up.
“There’s no way that would work, is there? How could I teach Muzuki-sensei?” Shizune couldn’t help but retort upon hearing Tsunade’s lazy remark.
Shizune gently pushed Tsunade with her small hand, urging, “Lady Tsunade, you’ve already accepted Muzuki-sensei’s payment. How can you go back on your promise?”
Muzuki silently gave Shizune a thumbs-up. Indeed, being a good teacher has its rewards; he hadn’t taught her in vain back then.
After Shizune pushed her several times, Tsunade sat back up, and her first action was to rub Shizune’s small face vigorously with both hands.
“Mmm mmm, Lady Tsunade~” Shizune looked at Tsunade pitifully.
“Children like you are born to be kneaded by me. How dare you lecture me?” Tsunade said with a triumphant smile after she had enjoyed kneading, then lowered her hands.
After a short, one-sided playful interaction with Shizune, Tsunade composed herself and began to answer Muzuki’s questions.
Muzuki had quite a few buffs stacked on him: he was brought by Jiraiya, he was a teacher Shizune liked, and he had paid in advance.
If any of these were missing, Tsunade might not have been so willing.
Muzuki had to admit he found the right person. Although Tsunade’s personality was a bit difficult, her Medical Ninjutsu skill was truly unmatched. After an hour of conversation with Tsunade, Muzuki discovered many problems he hadn’t noticed before.
Perhaps due to some displeasure, Tsunade’s words were quite sharp when pointing out Muzuki’s problems, saying things like, “How can there be such an idiot who doesn’t even know this?” or “Even a pig knows this.”
However, Muzuki didn’t mind. After all, this was the tutor who could help him complete his power bank plan. Even if she was truly spewing daggers, he would activate Armament Haki to listen to the lecture.
And it must be said, Tsunade was very beautiful. For some people with special preferences in his previous life, this might even be considered a reward.
Happy times always pass quickly. In teaching medical knowledge, Tsunade was indeed a very good teacher. He listened to Tsunade’s lecture and thought, and soon five and a half hours passed, from noon to dusk.
“It’s finally almost over. I must have a good drink tonight!” Tsunade showed a look of relief. Teaching for so long, she didn’t even teach Shizune this way.
Tsunade decided not to earn this money. The next time Muzuki came looking for her, she would directly chase him away. Lying down was more comfortable.
“Lady Tsunade, if you’re tired, you can finish and rest now,” Muzuki said with a gentle smile.
“You said that yourself.” Tsunade agreed without hesitation; only a fool would refuse such a good offer.
Muzuki looked up at the sky, then asked with a concerned expression, “Lady Tsunade, after teaching for so long, you must be tired and hungry, right? Coincidentally, I’m quite skilled in cooking. How about I make you something to eat?”
“Muzuki-sensei is truly gentle,” Shizune sighed in her heart. He was ending early and offering to make dinner.
She felt that as a teacher, Muzuki deeply understood the hard work of teaching with full concentration, which was why he was like this.
Tsunade was always happy to accept unexpected good things, but she was worried about Muzuki’s cooking skills, so she asked, “What level is ‘quite skilled’?”
“A level I’m more confident in than Sealing Technique,” Muzuki replied with a smile.
Facts proved that his cooking could conquer even non-human beings.
Hearing this, Tsunade became interested. The Sealing Technique level Muzuki displayed was extraordinary.
Next, Muzuki went to buy groceries and also went home to get some pastries. Finally, he started cooking at Tsunade’s house.
“Muzuki-sensei, let me help you wash the vegetables.” Shizune walked into the kitchen, wanting to help.
“Hmm, you’re such a good child, thank you.” Muzuki smiled and handed Shizune three packaged pastries.
Shizune could smell an enticing aroma from them, but she didn’t take them and instead looked at Muzuki with confusion.
“This is your reward.” Muzuki put the pastries into Shizune’s hand.
After washing the vegetables, Shizune curiously tasted one, and her eyes instantly lit up. She had never eaten such delicious dessert before.
“Muzuki-sensei, which dessert shop in the village did you buy this from?” Shizune quickly asked.
If it wasn’t too expensive, she could use her pocket money to buy some to eat.
“These are not for sale.”
“Why?”
“Because I made them myself.”
Shizune looked shocked, not expecting Muzuki to have such a skill.
Shizune put away the remaining two pastries, planning to eat one each day.
If it were other delicious food, Shizune would definitely share it with Tsunade, but for sweets, there was no need, because in Shizune’s memory, Tsunade didn’t like sweets. When Tsunade bought Dango for Shizune, she even explicitly said, “How can so many people like this stuff?”
After Muzuki finished cooking, he put some dishes into a bento box and had a Shadow Clone deliver them to Minato, then brought the dishes out.
“The aroma is quite good, but I wonder how it tastes.” Tsunade smelled the dishes before she even sat down.
She glanced over them; they were all unfamiliar dishes, but they looked very good.
Tsunade casually picked up a slice of meat from the stir-fried pork with chili. After eating it, she was instantly amazed, as if she had been transported to another world, forgetting all her troubles.
When she came back to her senses, although there was an incredibly spicy sensation in her mouth, Tsunade couldn’t help but want to keep eating.
Shizune also fell into a state of immersive eating after taking a bite.
When Tsunade wanted to pick up more food to eat with rice, she suddenly found that the three plates in front of her were all empty.
“Why did you only make so little? Don’t underestimate a Ninja’s appetite,” Tsunade said, still not quite full.
“Considering that Lady Tsunade, you’ll be going out to drink with Jiraiya and the others tonight, I didn’t make too much. I originally wanted to try a new dish I thought of with a whole chicken,” Muzuki explained.
Tsunade now wanted to give Jiraiya a hard punch. Couldn’t he choose another day?
“However, I’ll come to you for lessons again tomorrow, and I’ll make more food tomorrow night,” Muzuki continued.
Tsunade was a bit conflicted. She originally didn’t want to teach anymore and wanted to continue her carefree life of doing nothing.
But after eating Muzuki’s cooking and hearing him mention a new dish made with a whole chicken, Tsunade really wanted to taste what Muzuki’s chicken would be like.
“Then I’ll teach for one more day. Earning more money means I can gamble more.” Tsunade decided to teach Muzuki for one more day tomorrow, and after tomorrow’s lesson, she would tell Muzuki not to come again.
“Alright then, remember to make more dishes tomorrow and make them delicious,” Tsunade reminded him.
Muzuki looked at Tsunade’s expression and knew his plan had taken its first step, smiling and nodding.
In the evening, Jiraiya and Orochimaru went to Tsunade’s house to invite her out for a drink, but what puzzled Jiraiya was that Tsunade looked at him with annoyance.
There’s one more chapter coming. I’m a bit busy today, but it should still be over a thousand words more than yesterday.
Also, I looked at Tsunade in Minato’s story, and it seems like she doesn’t have the Yin Seal mark on her forehead, so I’m guessing Tsunade’s Yin Seal and Byakugou probably only appeared during the period after the Third Shinobi World War when she was wandering around.
