Chapter 280: Battle with the Strongest Physical Skills Master
by SunflowerMuzuki had a habit of arriving early; the agreed time was 2 PM, and he arrived at 1:50 PM with Obito.
“Genma, Ebisu, Guy.” Obito saw the three training and greeted them with a chuckle.
Hearing Obito’s voice, the three stopped and looked at him, then saw Muzuki beside him.
“Teacher Muzuki and Obito, why are you here?” Shiranui Genma asked with a puzzled expression.
He wasn’t aware of the conversation between Teacher Chen and Might Guy that day, only knowing it was about training.
“Teacher Muzuki and your sensei have something to discuss. Oh, by the way, where’s your sensei? I don’t see him.” Obito looked around for a while but didn’t see the muscular man he imagined.
“Has he not arrived yet?” Obito asked, confused.
“Isn’t he sitting under that tree over there?” Shiranui Genma pointed to a large tree not far from them, where Teacher Chen was sitting, reading a book.
Obito followed Shiranui Genma’s finger and saw a middle-aged man wearing a rustic yellow jacket and yellow tights.
“He’s Teacher Chen?” Obito asked Shiranui Genma, his face full of suspicion.
Looking at Teacher Chen, Obito thought he probably wouldn’t be much taller than him even when standing, and he didn’t have strong muscles. There was even a somewhat lewd smile on his face.
Obito felt that this was nothing like Konoha’s strongest Taijutsu user; he was completely just an ordinary, middle-aged, decadent uncle.
“What, I don’t look like it?” Before Shiranui Genma could explain to Obito, Teacher Chen, with his keen senses, put away his book and swiftly appeared beside Obito, asking.
“So fast!”
Obito’s pupils contracted as he looked at Teacher Chen, who had suddenly appeared before him. He hadn’t even seen how Teacher Chen had moved.
“Hello, senior, I am Hayate Mugetsu.” Muzuki placed his hand on Obito’s shoulder and smiled as he introduced himself to Teacher Chen.
Teacher Chen scrutinized Muzuki for a few moments, nodded, and then gave a brief introduction of himself.
Teacher Chen gave Muzuki a look, signaling him to go aside to talk and not to stay with the disciples.
He wanted to question Muzuki’s training method, and this was not suitable for the disciples to hear, as he wanted to save Muzuki some face.
Once the two had moved aside, Teacher Chen spoke without ceremony:
“Since you were able to contribute in a battle with a Jinchuriki, you are naturally a capable Ninja. Don’t you know the dangers of overtraining to the body? The body’s capacity is limited. Problems won’t appear now, but they will be terrible by middle age.”
“Guy’s training volume is too large; what I’ve seen with my own eyes has already exceeded the limits of what an ordinary person can endure.”
Although he appreciated Guy’s perseverance, he believed that this would shorten Guy’s peak period and even his lifespan.
Facing Teacher Chen’s questions, Muzuki’s expression remained unchanged, and he smiled gently, “First, I want to thank you, senior, for your concern for Guy.”
Teacher Chen looked at Muzuki; what he wanted was Muzuki’s reason, not thanks.
“If it were an ordinary person, they indeed wouldn’t be able to withstand such an enormous training volume.”
Muzuki affirmed Teacher Chen’s words, then continued, “But Guy is no ordinary person. Guy is exceptionally talented in Taijutsu, and his body’s endurance is stronger than that of ordinary people.”
Might Guy’s strength mainly came from his hard work, but Might Guy’s body was actually better than an average person’s. Although he wasn’t born with divine strength, his endurance was stronger.
In other words, if Might Guy didn’t work hard, he would be an ordinary person, but if he did, he would have a chance to catch up with those geniuses.
“I can see that, but even if his body’s endurance is stronger, this training volume is still too reckless.” Teacher Chen retorted.
He had practiced Taijutsu for half his life and naturally understood these things very well, which was why he valued Might Guy so much. Superhuman perseverance combined with a body with strong endurance was simply the perfect Taijutsu prodigy.
“If it were just that, the current training volume would indeed still be too much, but I also have a secret medicine that can eliminate fatigue and restore the body. Guy’s strong endurance combined with the secret medicine’s recovery makes this training volume just right for him.” Muzuki continued to explain.
It must be said that the secret medicine from the system is truly powerful, a perfect match for Might Guy.
“How can a secret medicine be that strong? Which secret medicine are you using?” Teacher Chen asked. He also used training secret medicines, but he didn’t think their effects were that good.
“My secret medicine isn’t sold on the market.” Muzuki shook his head and replied. Teacher Chen wouldn’t be able to buy the secret medicine given by the system even if he searched the entire Ninja World.
Teacher Chen didn’t know whether to believe Muzuki’s words. If everything was as Muzuki said, then there really was no problem, but Muzuki’s explanation about the secret medicine was very vague.
“Moreover, Guy has trained in Eight Gates. Senior, you should know about this forbidden Jutsu, right?” Muzuki continued.
“Eight Gates, so it’s this forbidden Jutsu. No wonder his aura sometimes suddenly grew stronger when he fought me.” Teacher Chen’s face showed a thoughtful expression.
He had never fought a Ninja who had mastered Eight Gates, but he had heard of the forbidden Jutsu’s reputation.
“Eight Gates strengthens the body by removing its limitations. The stronger the body, the less damage incurred when opening the Eight Gates, and the greater the power of the Eight Gates.” Muzuki stopped here when introducing Eight Gates. Teacher Chen wasn’t an idiot; he would understand his meaning.
By this point, Teacher Chen was convinced by Muzuki. Muzuki understood Might Guy better than he did and had considered more factors.
“Guy wants to become strong, to become a top-tier Ninja in the Ninja World, but his Ninjutsu talent is very ordinary. Only Taijutsu can support him in achieving his dream.” Muzuki said finally.
Muzuki’s words made Teacher Chen fall into deep thought. Besides being the sensei for Might Guy and his two teammates, he actually had another disciple.
That disciple was even worse off than Might Guy. Might Guy could still learn some simple Ninjutsu if he spent more time, but his disciple had no Ninjutsu talent at all. He couldn’t learn any Ninjutsu or Genjutsu and could only rely on Taijutsu all the way. It took him a great deal of effort just to graduate from the Ninja Academy.
Teacher Chen was moved by his perseverance after hearing his story and took him as a disciple, planning to pass on all his Taijutsu to him. However, due to insufficient strength, he currently couldn’t learn Leaf Dragon God.
“You are a good teacher. No wonder Guy respects you so much.” Teacher Chen exclaimed, waking from his thoughts.
He believed that a teacher who could help their disciples achieve their dreams was the best teacher.
Muzuki smiled, engaged in some mutual flattery, and then challenged Teacher Chen to a battle.
“I’ve long heard of your title as Konoha’s strongest Taijutsu Ninja, senior. Could you grant me an opportunity to challenge the strongest?”
Fighting Teacher Chen was his main purpose in coming here: to display his Taijutsu strength.
Teacher Chen waved his hand and said, “What strongest? It’s just those people making a fuss. If we were to really fight, the Sandaime’s Taijutsu is stronger than mine. But a battle, yes, we can try.”
Teacher Chen saw that Muzuki understood Taijutsu so well and had taught Might Guy so effectively, implying his own Taijutsu wouldn’t be bad. After some thought, he agreed.
“Do we do it here or choose a new location? If we do it here, let these kids see what a Ninja’s battle is truly like.” Teacher Chen suggested.
Watching strong individuals fight is useful. First, it broadens one’s horizons, and then it’s about learning the strengths of the powerful. Of course, if they’re too strong, you won’t learn anything because you won’t even be able to see clearly.
“Let’s do it here. We’ll stop before anyone gets seriously hurt.” Muzuki smiled and nodded.
Where they fought didn’t matter much; his main audience was Teacher Chen because he was quite influential.
Teacher Chen flashed to his disciples’ side and then spoke:
“Muzuki and I are going to spar. Remember to watch carefully and learn, and see what a true Ninja’s battle is like.”
“Ah, you’re fighting Teacher Muzuki?” Shiranui Genma asked in surprise.
He felt this was a bit unfair; a Ninja known as Konoha’s strongest Taijutsu user fighting a Special Jonin who teaches.
“No, Teacher Muzuki is also someone who can defeat a Jonin.” Shiranui Genma quickly remembered the mission stories Obito had told earlier.
But Shiranui Genma then thought again, it seemed that even a strong Jonin wasn’t much when facing a Ninja with the title of’strongest.’
“What, do you have an opinion?” Teacher Chen raised an eyebrow and asked.
He didn’t know Muzuki’s specific information, only that Muzuki had fought alongside Jiraiya to repel the Jinchuriki on the battlefield.
“No, no opinion.” Shiranui Genma quickly shook his head, worried that Teacher Chen might make him fight.
Teacher Chen might do that; he occasionally gave them difficult challenges.
“Teacher Muzuki and Teacher Chen…” Ebisu pushed up his glasses, recalling the terrifying power of the Leaf Dragon God that day, and felt that Muzuki might be in a tough spot.
Hearing that Muzuki and Teacher Chen were going to fight, Obito’s face showed an expectant expression, feeling lucky he had come along so he could watch Teacher Muzuki fight.
He wasn’t at all worried that Muzuki would lose. Obito had extreme confidence in Muzuki. Even if Muzuki only used Taijutsu, he didn’t think Teacher Chen could win. After all, that was the omnipotent Sage Muzuki; just being Konoha’s strongest Taijutsu user would definitely be no problem.
Might Guy looked curious. Currently, the strongest battle he had seen was Muzuki and Might Duy fighting with the Six Gates open. He was curious if this battle would be even more impressive than that one.
“How will Teacher Muzuki deal with Teacher Chen’s Leaf Dragon God?” Might Guy wondered.
Currently, he had no way to break Leaf Dragon God. The wind force was too strong; he would quickly get cut if he got close, but if he didn’t get close, how could he break it?
After informing the disciples, Teacher Chen and Muzuki chose a spot not too close nor too far from the disciples as the battleground.
If it was too far, the disciples wouldn’t be able to see clearly, making watching meaningless. But if they were too close, it would affect their battle and they could easily get injured by the battle’s aftermath.
“Battle start!” Obito, acting as the announcer, shouted loudly.
