Chapter Index

“Vacation special training, it’s finally here,” Obito took a deep breath, as if he could already foresee his miserable fate for the next month and a half.

When school was in session, there were at least five days of buffer time; now that it was a long holiday, every day felt like a weekend.

Obito only hoped that the combat training would return to its previous state, otherwise, with over two hundred more problems per day, his life would be over by the end of the holiday.

Hearing about the special training, Might Guy’s eyes lit up, but thinking of the extra problems on weekends, he felt immense pressure.

Shisui’s expression remained unchanged; unlike Might Guy and Obito, he had already mastered Shadow Clone and had long since sent his Shadow Clone to school.

Except for attending exams, Shisui spent most of his other time cultivating with Muzuki.

So, even if Muzuki said that during the holidays, they would cultivate every day like a weekend, it would be no different from his usual routine.

“You’ll rest on Thursdays and Sundays. Other times, come to me for training in the mornings and afternoons. You can go home for lunch, or I’ll cook if you stay,” Muzuki said.

While they came to Muzuki every day during school, from Monday to Friday, excluding weekends, the actual time spent training with Muzuki was not much.

So, even with five days of training and two days of rest during the holiday, the actual training time would be much more than when school was in session.

“Two days off a week!” Obito exclaimed in surprise.

He did some calculations and found that it seemed even more relaxed than during school.

During school, he had classes from Monday to Friday and also had to train with Muzuki, while weekends were spent training with Muzuki all day.

“Also, suspend combat practice. Obito, continue cultivating Fire Release Chakra Nature Transformation. Shisui and Might Guy, learn Body Flicker Technique with me,” Muzuki announced the new holiday training plan.

During the Youth Ninjutsu Competition training mission, Obito had practiced Nature Transformation for a while, but he had only grasped the basics; he still needed to continue cultivating it.

Obito didn’t have Naruto’s cheat-like vitality and Chakra, so he couldn’t use the Multiple Shadow Clone training method; he could only progress cyclically.

    “No combat practice!”

If two days of holiday surprised Obito, then the suspension of combat training made him completely fall in love with the long holiday.

Without combat training, there were no large numbers of problems. Although cultivating Nature Transformation was tiring, he would rather cultivate Nature Transformation than do problems.

After the training assignments were given, the disciples began their respective training.

Obito held a large ice block alone, constantly erupting Chakra, while Shisui and Might Guy learned Body Flicker Technique with Muzuki.

Watching Muzuki flash around with Shisui and Might Guy, Obito, holding the ice block, felt the coolness of the ice block flow from his hands through his meridians to his heart.

“Muzuki-sensei, what was that taijutsu challenge you mentioned before? I also want to learn Body Flicker Technique,” Obito couldn’t help but ask.

He remembered Muzuki saying that besides getting first place in his grade, completing his taijutsu challenge also allowed one to learn Body Flicker Technique.

However, at that time, Muzuki directly said that Obito couldn’t complete it, so Obito didn’t ask what the specific challenge was.

But a month had passed, and his strength had improved considerably; maybe he could complete the challenge Muzuki mentioned.

“The taijutsu challenge? That’s very difficult. Are you sure you want to try?” Muzuki created a Shadow Clone to converse with Obito.

“But everyone else is learning that Body Flicker Technique. If I don’t learn it, won’t I fall behind?” Obito said.

“Alright, I’ll set up the venue today, and you can try the challenge tomorrow,” Muzuki nodded.

Obito’s actions were within his expectations.

The reason he didn’t directly teach Body Flicker Technique to all his disciples but instead set conditions was to provide intensive training for that one disciple who failed.

Instead of directly forcing training, he felt it would be better to find ways to motivate his disciples’ enthusiasm.

He would set up some mechanisms that could not be completed without sufficient speed and strength. At that time, Obito, in order to learn Body Flicker Technique, would surely strive to strengthen his physique.

Once the challenge was completed, his body would be stronger, and learning Body Flicker Technique would be easier.

Moreover, Obito would learn more diligently from a reward obtained through his own efforts, as it was not easily gained.

To help his disciples better enhance their strength, Muzuki truly considered all aspects, including the students’ psychology.

After training, Muzuki went to his house in the Main urban area as usual.

Today, he made Sushi and Tempura.

However, a small interlude occurred during dinner; as the three were eating and chatting, enjoying the atmosphere, an eagle’s cry came from outside.

“Why now?” Kushina, who had just finished a piece of Sushi, was somewhat displeased.

“Let’s go. It’s so sudden; something big must have happened,” Minato stood up and said.

“Sorry, Muzuki, we have to excuse ourselves for a moment. An emergency Jonin meeting has been called.”

Whenever something big happened in Konoha, Nin-Beasts would be dispatched to give emergency notifications to Jonin; Minato had experienced it before.

“Muzuki, remember to save some for us. These meetings usually don’t last long, and with Minato’s speed, we’ll be back very soon,” Kushina didn’t forget to tell Muzuki to save some food before leaving.

“There’s so much; I can’t eat it all by myself,” Muzuki smiled and nodded, wondering in his heart what big event could have occurred.

Based on the timeline, Muzuki guessed it might be related to the Third Shinobi World War.

“Is a full-scale war about to break out?” Muzuki thought.

Kushina and Minato didn’t make Muzuki wait too long; they returned in less than half an hour.

“I thought something big had happened, but it turns out the Third Kazekage of Sunagakure disappeared,” Kushina complained as soon as she entered the house.

“Calling an emergency Jonin meeting so urgently, one would think it was Konoha’s Third Hokage who disappeared.”

Hearing Kushina’s words, Muzuki secretly thought that a war was indeed about to break out.

The Hidden Cloud Village, having already accumulated strength, was already restless, and with the Third Kazekage disappearing at this time, Kumogakure would not miss this good opportunity.

“Regardless of which Kage it is, it has a significant impact on the Ninja World’s balance. With the Third Kazekage suddenly disappearing, a war is highly likely to break out,” unlike Kushina, Minato’s expression was somewhat solemn.

“Indeed, Sunagakure is going to have a hard time this time,” Kushina nodded and took a big bite of Sushi.

Listening to their conversation, Muzuki felt a subtle emotion.

Probably no one would have thought that the Third Shinobi World War, which began with the disappearance of the Third Kazekage, would be Konoha’s most brutal beating, even though they ultimately won.

With war imminent, Muzuki felt even less secure.

He could only say it was fortunate that he was Root’s hidden operative; even if Danzo went crazy and decided to send his subordinates to their deaths, he would be among the last batch to be sent.

Muzuki didn’t hold a shred of hope for Danzo.

He only hoped that he could raise his strength to the so-called Kage-level before the flames of war reached Konoha.

Strength was the most important thing in this dangerous world; without strength, everything was empty talk.
