Chapter Index

At noon, inside the office, the teachers discussed what they had seen and heard while invigilating.

“Hyuga Homura from Class 1, Grade 4, is amazing. As expected of a Ninja from the Hyuga Clan, almost no one in Class 1 could last a minute against him,” Ikeya Yu said with some envy.

“It’s estimated that he’ll be the Grade Level Practical Exam champion again this time.”

Ikeya Yu wished he was the homeroom teacher for Class 1, Grade 4, instead of Class 2, Grade 4. That way, the bonus would be easily obtained, and he’d have money to take his blind date to a high-end restaurant.

But that was impossible; with such good grades, it was naturally impossible to change teachers.

“Not necessarily. I think Uchiha Obito from your class is also quite strong. Maybe he can compete for it,” Kimura Sugito interjected.

Ikeya Yu showed a puzzled expression and asked,

“Sugito, you must have said the wrong name. It’s Uchiha Tekka, right? His strength is indeed good.”

“How could I say the wrong name? It’s Uchiha Obito.” Kimura Sugito stated that he was young and didn’t have senile dementia; he was talking about Uchiha Obito.

“Uchiha Obito? Impossible. What strength could he possibly have?” Ikeya Yu looked at Kimura Sugito suspiciously, doubting that he was trying to fool him.

Uchiha Obito was famously known as the Uchiha dead last. If he really had strength, how could he have such a nickname?

“Am I lying to you? Uchiha Obito’s first opponent was the Uchiha Tekka you mentioned, and he won very decisively,” Kimura Sugito continued.

Seeing that Ikeya Yu was still somewhat unconvinced, Kimura Sugito directly pulled Muzuki into the conversation, saying,

“Teacher Muzuki and I invigilated together. If you don’t believe me, ask him.”

    Ikeya Yu looked at Muzuki.

Muzuki nodded and said, “Indeed, just as Teacher Kimura said, Uchiha Obito defeated Uchiha Tekka in the first round.”

“Eh, well, that’s truly strange then.” Ikeya Yu scratched his head, feeling it was very unbelievable.

He believed Muzuki’s words. After all, that was Teacher Muzuki, who had gained the approval of all the teachers after only one month on the job; he couldn’t be more reliable.

“Why was he able to defeat Uchiha Tekka?” Ikeya Yu racked his brain but couldn’t figure out why things had turned out this way.

What happened to the ‘dead last’? How did he defeat the former class champion?

It couldn’t be that a mysterious teacher descended from the heavens to secretly teach him advanced Ninjutsu, could it?

Looking at Ikeya Yu’s reaction, Muzuki thought to himself, ‘You’re already this puzzled just by Obito showing his strength. If Might Guy also shows his strength, you’d probably suspect you’re under a genjutsu.’

Ikeya Yu could be considered to have won by sheer luck this time. Muzuki estimated that his bonus should be secure.

Muzuki thought about it; Ikeya Yu wasn’t a pure win-by-luck either; he had also put in effort.

Because Ikeya Yu often asked him to substitute, helping him recruit disciples and earn rewards, he had some merit. Plus, he did treat him to meals quite often, so he was quite understanding.

“Teacher Habsheng’s class is truly impressive.” Ueda Aya, who had been silent, spoke up. She was invigilating Muzuki’s Class 1, Grade 1.

“The overall level of their Three Body Technique feels almost on par with the Second Grade students I teach,” Ueda Aya exclaimed.

“Especially a super genius named Uchiha Shisui; he reminds me of Kakashi Hatake from a few years ago. This year’s First Grade Practical Exam champion will definitely be him.”

“Can he be compared to Kakashi Hatake? Is it that exaggerated?” Ikeya Yu looked surprised.

The Grade Level Practical Exam champion didn’t matter, but being on par with Kakashi was terrifying.

One must know that Kakashi was a recognized super genius at the Ninja Academy in recent years, and his subsequent performance was also very impressive, directly being promoted to Chunin one year after graduation.

“It’s that exaggerated. He’s simply not on the same level as other First Grade students,” Ueda Aya nodded and said.

“That’s too great, Teacher Habsheng. You’re so lucky. The excellent performance review is easily yours!” Ikeya Yu looked envious. Why didn’t he have such luck? He’d be content just to keep his bonus.

“What luck? It’s because Teacher Habsheng teaches well. That overall level, you can’t say that all the talented ones just happened to end up in Teacher Habsheng’s class, can you?” Ueda Aya corrected.

She didn’t believe that Class 1, Grade 1 had this strength because there were many geniuses, but rather because Muzuki’s teaching level was excellent.

Otherwise, why would students in the classes he substituted for wish for Muzuki to come more often?

It wasn’t just one or two classes; all the classes he substituted for gave him rave reviews.

“Slip of the tongue, slip of the tongue. Of course I know Teacher Habsheng is good. My students wish I was busy every day so Teacher Habsheng would teach their class.”

As he spoke, Ikeya Yu even felt a little depressed.

He only occasionally let Muzuki substitute; most of the time, he taught himself, but the students all preferred Muzuki.

“It’s alright. The students themselves are diligent enough,” Muzuki said modestly.

After chatting with his colleagues for a while, Muzuki quickly started practicing calligraphy until the afternoon exam began.

It was still Training Ground Sixteen, but there were significantly fewer people than in the morning.

Because the exam didn’t force students who had already lost to continue participating, they could decide for themselves whether to come or not.

As time passed, battles proceeded one after another. Rin Nohara, who was not very skilled in combat, was eliminated in the first round of the afternoon.

And Might Guy, who could cleanly defeat any opponent he encountered, finally caught everyone’s attention.

“So Might Guy’s taijutsu is that strong? His speed is too fast! He defeated Daisuke with one kick!” the surrounding students exclaimed in surprise.

“He’s changed so much. I remember in the Third Grade, he was only ‘decent,’ not this strong,” a student who knew Might Guy said, somewhat puzzled.

“Maybe he trained harder during the summer break and the new semester?” He could only come up with this possibility.

“Final battle, Number One Uchiha Obito versus Number Forty Might Guy. Examinees, please prepare to begin the battle.” Muzuki announced the roster for the final battle of the class practical exam.

Might Guy and Obito looked at each other after hearing this and quickly walked to the examination area, ready to begin the battle.

“Might Guy, I won’t give this first place to you.” Obito glanced at Rin, who was standing outside, and his fighting spirit instantly surged.

In front of Rin, he truly didn’t want to lose at all.

“The same goes for me! If I’m to become the strongest, then I must seize every first place I can!” Might Guy replied with high spirits.

“They actually made it to the end.” The students who had previously mocked the two felt their faces sting a bit.

They found it outrageous. In Third Grade, they were both dead last, but who would have thought they’d become so strong in Fourth Grade?

Before the exam started, who would have dared to think this way? Everyone thought Uchiha Tekka would be the class practical exam champion.

They couldn’t imagine how much these two had pushed themselves during the vacation and the new semester.

After exchanging fierce words before the fight, Might Guy and Obito said nothing more. They stood opposite each other, forming the Confrontation Seal.

    “Begin!”

The increase in collections isn’t great. I’m thinking of changing the name to “Hokage: I Get Stronger By Teaching.” What do you all think?
