Chapter Index

In the early morning, Muzuki went to the mission hall in the Hokage Building to look for missions.

Obito’s Life Mission progress had reached 19.2%, just 0.8% away from reaching 20% to settle for another reward.

If the mission type was suitable, he could push through it in one go.

Of course, if it wasn’t suitable, the result might be worse than staying in Konoha to train and improve their strength. So Muzuki didn’t bring Obito and the others along, but came to the Hokage Building by himself.

If there was a suitable mission, he’d take it; if not, he’d train.

“B-Rank Mission: Investigate the Loulan Minister, An Lushan…” Muzuki’s gaze narrowed when he saw the word ‘Loulan,’ and he quickly read through the entire mission.

Loulan was a very special place in the Ninja World because the Ryūmyaku beneath it possessed power sufficient to travel through time and space.

However, Muzuki remembered clearly that when Minato went to the Ryūmyaku, he was already proficient in using the Rasengan. The Loulan mission shouldn’t be happening at this point in time.

Muzuki carefully recalled the beginning and end of the Loulan plot and found that the Loulan mission before him was not the same one Minato had taken.

The mission Minato took back then was to protect Queen Sara, whereas this B-Rank Mission was issued by Sara’s mother. Currently, Sara wasn’t even the Queen of Loulan yet.

“I’ll take this mission,” Muzuki said to the Registration Ninja after some thought.

Although going at this time meant he might not see Naruto, this mission was indeed very suitable for boosting mission progress. If Obito performed well, he could become a little hero of a small nation, just like in the Land of Snow.

Even if it wasn’t for Obito’s Life Mission reward, Muzuki wanted to take this mission to go to Loulan and see the Ryūmyaku.

This was power capable of traversing time and space; it would be a pity not to take a look and study it.

After accepting the mission, Muzuki returned to the South Border Forest and explained the situation to his disciples.

“It’s only a B-Rank Mission? Muzuki-sensei, why didn’t you take an A-Rank Mission?” Obito asked, scratching his head in confusion.

Obito had already done many A-Rank Missions on the battlefield. Doing an ordinary B-Rank Mission now felt like it lacked challenge.

“Don’t you like taking photos of different scenery? Loulan is a small country that has existed for a long time, and it has unique architecture that only exists there,” Muzuki replied with a warm smile.

“Is that so? Then we definitely have to do this mission!” Obito’s eyes lit up instantly, feeling very touched.

“You sure changed your tune quickly,” Kakashi couldn’t help but retort, seeing the massive shift in Obito’s attitude.

“What do you know? I just didn’t realize Muzuki-sensei’s painstaking efforts at first,” Obito said dismissively.

“I think it’s mainly because you didn’t study Ninja World geography seriously,” Kakashi countered expressionlessly.

“I bet the number of countries you know doesn’t exceed ten.”

“No way! Kakashi, don’t look down on people. It’s just ten countries; I’ll recite them for you right now.” Obito was furious. How could he not know ten countries? There were five in the Five Great Nations alone.

Obito quickly recited the full names of the Five Great Nations, then continued, “Land of Snow, Land of Grass, Land of Rivers, Land of Hot Springs… Hot… Loulan!”

“And then? That’s only ten.” A mocking smile appeared on Kakashi’s face.

Obito’s face turned red as his brain worked rapidly, trying hard to think of what other countries he hadn’t mentioned.

“There’s also the Land of Rice Fields, eleven! What do you have to say now, Kakashi!” A Flash of inspiration hit Obito as he remembered another country’s name, and he questioned Kakashi loudly.

    Clap, clap.

Kakashi clapped his hands and said with a faint smile, “Obito is so amazing for being able to remember eleven countries, including the Five Great Nations.”

Obito’s face turned even redder. Even though Kakashi was technically praising him, Obito felt a great sense of insult.

“Then do you know the Land of Rain, Land of the Moon, Land of Waves, Land of Waterfalls, Bird Country, Land of Bears…?” Kakashi suddenly rattled off a string of names of small nations.

Hearing so many names of unfamiliar small nations, a trace of confusion appeared in Obito’s eyes. Were there actually so many countries in the Ninja World?

“Kakashi, stop bullying Obito. This is what Obito is worst at,” Rin Nohara smiled helplessly.

But what Rin didn’t know was that her words dealt an even greater critical blow to Obito.

“So in Rin’s heart, I’m an idiot…” Obito couldn’t help but crouch down and draw circles on the ground with his finger.

He really wished someone could teach Kakashi a lesson; he was being too much of a bully.

“Alright, everyone get ready. It’s time to head out,” Muzuki stepped in and said at the right moment.

Since this was a B-Rank Mission, Muzuki didn’t bring Shisui and the others along. Instead, he left a Shadow Clone to teach them.

Once everything was prepared, Muzuki set off for Loulan with Obito and the others.

Heading west all the way, their environment gradually changed from forest to grassland, then to desert-grassland, and finally to an endless desert.

Looking at the golden expanse, Obito couldn’t help but take out his camera and snap a couple of photos.

“Last time we ran into enemies before we could even stay a while, so I can make up for it this time,” Obito laughed excitedly. Loulan being in the desert was a pleasant surprise for him.

The first time he saw a desert in his life wasn’t very pleasant because he encountered the Kumogakure AB Combo shortly after, and he didn’t have a camera to take photos back then.

“After staying for a few days, you might start missing Konoha,” Muzuki said after activating his Byakugan to check the surroundings.

Desert scenery is grand, but staying there for long is unpleasant because the views are almost the same everywhere, and the living environment is poor.

While the latter didn’t matter much to Ninjas, the former would cause Obito to lose his sense of novelty for the desert very quickly.

“Muzuki-sensei, you’re overestimating him. I bet by tonight he’ll be saying that living in Konoha is more comfortable,” Kakashi said calmly.

Obito glared at Kakashi and made up his mind. No matter how much he suffered or toiled in the desert, he wouldn’t complain. He absolutely couldn’t let Kakashi look down on him.

Aside from catering to Obito’s curiosity when they first reached the desert, Muzuki accelerated the rest of the way to Loulan.

“Why are there so many tall buildings here?” Confusion appeared on Kakashi’s face as he looked at Loulan ahead.

Loulan in the books didn’t look like this. Although it was normal for information in books to be outdated, the change was indeed quite fast.

“So it turns out you didn’t know what Loulan looked like either, Kakashi. And here I thought you were so great, but you only knew the name,” Obito, who was taking photos, turned back and mocked him with great joy upon hearing Kakashi’s words.

Kakashi frowned slightly and ignored Obito, looking around to begin his observations instead.

He found that Loulan still had the buildings recorded in various documents; those ultra-tall buildings in the Loulan style were likely newly constructed.

“Let’s go and meet our client,” Muzuki said as he took three Kunai from his Ninja tool pouch and distributed them to his disciples.

Kakashi looked at Muzuki with a look of astonishment in his eyes.

They hadn’t even been in a battle since leaving Konoha, so Muzuki definitely wasn’t worried about them running low on tools. That could only mean… “Muzuki-sensei, do you also know the Flying Thunder God?” Kakashi asked.

At this moment, Obito was still a bit confused as to why Muzuki was giving them Kunai, but hearing Kakashi’s words, he also subconsciously looked toward Muzuki.

“Yes. As long as you keep these Kunai with you, I can move to your side at any time,” Muzuki nodded with a smile.

“Muzuki-sensei, do you really not have a long-lost twin brother?” the blunt Obito asked directly.

Minato looked like Muzuki, and then both of them knew the Flying Thunder God Technique, and both had gentle personalities. It was hard for Obito not to suspect they were brothers.

After all, the Flying Thunder God Technique wasn’t like the Great Fireball Technique that every Uchiha knew; Obito had only ever seen Minato use it.

Never mind Obito, even Rin Nohara and Kakashi were looking at Muzuki with curiosity. Although Muzuki had denied it many times, they really were too similar.

    Thwack!

Muzuki tapped Obito’s forehead with his index and middle fingers joined together. “No, stop guessing. Minato-sensei taught me the Flying Thunder God Technique, and I just happened to learn it.”

Without Minato’s explanation, it might have taken him a long time to learn it through sheer grinding, so saying Minato taught him wasn’t incorrect.

“Muzuki-sensei, I want to learn this too,” Obito said with a grin, rubbing the spot where he was tapped.

As much as Obito didn’t want to fight Minato, he wanted to learn the Flying Thunder God Technique just as much. In his view, this technique was too much of a cheat.

You could exhaust yourself trying but never touch the hem of Minato Namikaze’s clothes, yet if you dared to be even slightly careless, Minato Namikaze’s Kunai would be stuck in you.

“I’ll teach you when you’re ready to learn it,” Muzuki replied after thinking it over.

Muzuki intended to teach Obito the Flying Thunder God; after all, Obito had a talent for space. However, he wouldn’t teach it now.

Because the Flying Thunder God consumed quite a lot of Chakra, and the current Obito couldn’t learn it at all.

Just as no one would teach a five or six-year-old child Fire Release: Great Fire Destruction—it wasn’t about not wanting to teach, but that they simply couldn’t learn it yet.

“Hooray!” Obito couldn’t help but cheer, then gave Kakashi a provocative look.

If he learned the Flying Thunder God, Obito didn’t believe Kakashi could still beat him.

Kakashi looked at Muzuki; the Flying Thunder God was indeed powerful, and he wanted to learn it too.

“You can all learn it, but this technique has special requirements. Don’t be discouraged if you can’t master it,” Muzuki said.

He hoped all his disciples could learn the Flying Thunder God, as it would improve both their combat power and survival capabilities to some extent, but that was clearly a bit unrealistic.

In the original story, Minato even taught the Flying Thunder God Technique to his guards. Could he have not taught it to Kakashi? He likely did, but Kakashi probably didn’t learn it.

Muzuki had tried learning the Flying Thunder God before he obtained a space talent, so he knew that feeling—it was truly like being in a fog, completely unable to comprehend it.

However, in Muzuki’s view, Kakashi didn’t strictly need the Flying Thunder God for combat. Being able to enter the Transparent World before reaching the Constant State meant Kakashi could definitely train his Breathing Technique to the Perfect Level. By then, his short-range bursts wouldn’t be slower than the Flying Thunder God.

After a brief chat with his disciples about the Flying Thunder God, Muzuki took them to meet the client, who was the current Queen of Loulan.

The current Queen of Loulan was a very elegant-looking young woman. Perhaps because she was a queen, she had enough wealth for maintenance; from her appearance alone, Muzuki couldn’t tell at all that she was the mother of a child over ten years old.

“The mission states that we need to investigate An Lushan. Are there any specific points of investigation to focus on?” Muzuki asked after both parties confirmed their identities.

“Please try your best to investigate his past and the things he does in secret,” the Queen of Loulan said.

“Isn’t he a minister of your country? How can you not even know his past?” Kakashi asked in confusion.

A person of unknown origin had actually become the second-most important figure below the Queen.

The Queen of Loulan showed a look of helplessness and explained, “In the beginning, he spoke of his past, and he only became a minister after performing great services. But I now suspect his past was a fabrication and that he came to Loulan with impure motives.”

No matter how much the Queen of Loulan suspected An Lushan, she couldn’t deny his contributions to Loulan. Without An Lushan’s help, Loulan wouldn’t have been able to build so many tall buildings, and the economy would be much worse than it is now.

It was precisely because of An Lushan’s contributions to Loulan that the Queen did not directly dismiss and imprison him based on suspicion alone, but instead hired Ninjas to investigate.

“Additionally, please be as discreet as possible. Do not reveal your purpose, and especially do not let anyone know that I commissioned you,” the Queen of Loulan continued.

“Many people in Loulan currently support An Lushan. Exposing this before evidence is found would lead to dissatisfaction among the public and officials.”

This was also one of the reasons why she sought Konoha Ninjas; there were too many people in Loulan supporting An Lushan right now, making it easy to be exposed.

However, the Queen of Loulan could also understand them; after all, An Lushan had indeed brought development to Loulan.

Obito looked at the Queen of Loulan with a look of surprise. It was the first time he had seen a queen living so miserably.

When Fūka Sōsetsu determined that Fūka Dotō was a problem, he directly sent subordinates to capture him, while the Queen of Loulan was worried about even letting people know she was investigating.

“No problem,” Muzuki nodded to show he understood.

He could somewhat understand the Queen of Loulan. This place was called a small country, but it was actually only about the size of a town, far inferior even to the Land of Snow. Moreover, its location was poor, being in a remote desert, and wars often occurred nearby. Life was indeed hard to manage.

Under such circumstances, it was inevitable that someone who brought development and changed Loulan would gain support. However, the Queen of Loulan should be glad for her caution; if she really dared to act recklessly, she would be the one to die in the end. An Lushan was not only a Ninja but a Ninja of considerable strength.

“He couldn’t be another person like Fūka Dotō, planning to take Loulan for himself, could he?” Obito speculated on the way out.

“It’s hard to say before the investigation is clear; even the Queen of Loulan herself doesn’t know,” Kakashi shook his head and said.

They hadn’t even met An Lushan yet, so making baseless conjectures was meaningless.

Muzuki first found an ordinary inn, then said to Kakashi and the others, “To ensure the efficiency of the investigation, we’ll split up for now. I’ll be in one group by myself, and the three of you will be in another group. We’ll meet back at the inn tonight to exchange information.”

Through his Byakugan, Muzuki could observe that powerful energy beneath Loulan. He planned to take a look at the Ryūmyaku first.

His perception couldn’t cover the entire Ninja World, but covering all of Loulan was no problem. As long as his disciples were in danger, Muzuki could use the Flying Thunder God to support them.

To prevent any accidents, Muzuki also sent a Shadow Clone to follow Kakashi and the others, providing double insurance.

After speaking, Muzuki’s figure quickly vanished from the trio’s sight.

“Let’s go. First, we’ll observe the current Loulan,” Kakashi said without any delay, immediately preparing to begin the investigation.

“Why are you acting like you’re the captain?” Obito said, clearly disliking Kakashi’s attitude of giving direct orders.

“Then you tell me what we should do now, and why we should do it?” Kakashi turned to Obito and asked.

Obito’s momentum instantly deflated; Kakashi’s question felt like he was being handed an exam paper.

With no further objections from Obito, the three officially began their investigation.

Following the Queen of Loulan’s request, Kakashi and the others tucked away their Headbands and chunin vests, observing Loulan dressed as ordinary civilians.

“Kakashi, Rin, I think I’ve found someone who might be a problem,” Obito said, looking at a yellow-haired figure ahead who was foolishly looking around.

“I noticed him before you even spoke,” Kakashi said, frowning slightly as he looked at that Konoha Headband.

“He certainly looks like a problem at first glance,” Rin Nohara agreed as she followed their gaze.

“Be careful and get ready for battle,” Kakashi warned in a low voice.

In Kakashi’s view, there were too many suspicious points about the yellow-haired figure. He was only wearing a Headband without a chunin vest, which meant he might be a Genin. But why would a Genin appear in Loulan alone?

“It shouldn’t be that serious; he might also be a Konoha Ninja,” Obito felt instinctively that the person across from them wasn’t bad.

“Just because someone wears a Konoha Headband doesn’t mean they are a Konoha Ninja,” Kakashi said flatly.

It was far too easy for a Ninja to forge a Headband; if they wanted to be even lazier, they could just use the Transformation Technique.

However, Kakashi hadn’t seen any traces of the Transformation Technique being used by the person yet. Of course, it was also possible that the opponent’s Transformation Technique was extremely proficient.

“We’ll know if we just go and ask.”

After speaking, Obito gave Kakashi a look, and the two moved in to surround him in a combat stance.

“Are you a Konoha Ninja?” Obito asked bluntly.

“Isn’t that obvious?” Naruto replied, pointing to his Headband.

“Could you please show us your ninja identification? It is wartime, after all, so please understand,” Kakashi said in a deep voice.

All official Konoha Ninjas had identification cards that not only recorded basic information and the number of completed missions but also featured anti-counterfeiting technology.

“Ah, what war? But as for identification, I think I have it on me.” Uzumaki Naruto was a bit bewildered by Kakashi’s words, but he roughly understood their meaning—they were also Konoha Ninjas.

So, Naruto readily handed his ID to Kakashi. For some reason, he felt that this white-haired, masked kid looked a bit familiar.

“Uzumaki Naruto, Genin, Ninja Registration Number 012607…” After reading Naruto’s ID, Kakashi’s eyelid twitched uncontrollably.

He would have to report the leak of Konoha’s ID anti-counterfeiting technology to Muzuki tonight.

In Kakashi’s eyes, the ID Uzumaki Naruto gave him was a very realistic fake.

He thought it was realistic because the card was identical to a Konoha Ninja ID, with no differences in the details, but the information on it was far too ridiculous—the registration number had reached over twelve thousand six hundred.

How ridiculous was it? Obito hadn’t even been graduated for a full year yet, making him part of the newest batch of Ninja Academy graduates, and his Ninja Registration Number was 10886.

This meant that even if Obito was at the very front of his year’s numbering and Naruto was at the very end, there was still a gap of over 1,700 people between them.

The Ninja Academy obviously couldn’t graduate that many Ninjas in a single year. Furthermore, looking at Naruto, he didn’t look like a recent academy graduate; he had to be fifteen or sixteen.

Besides, there weren’t many people in a single grade at the Ninja Academy. If he were a recent graduate, Obito wouldn’t fail to recognize him.

The surname Uzumaki was also very suspicious. If Kakashi remembered correctly, the only member of the Uzumaki Clan currently in Konoha was Minato-sensei’s girlfriend, Uzumaki Kushina.

A simple ID card had exposed too many absurdly suspicious points.

Kakashi did not return the ID to Uzumaki Naruto; he gave Obito a look and then silently gathered Chakra, preparing for battle.

Muzuki’s Shadow Clone, who had been following from the shadows, showed a look of interest. This development was quite intriguing.

“By the way, do you guys know where this is? Have you seen Hundred Feet? I’m on a mission to capture him,” Naruto asked happily, glad to have finally run into Ninjas from his own village.

“This is Loulan. You came here without even knowing where you were?” Because Uzumaki Naruto’s expression was so sincere, Kakashi couldn’t tell for a moment if he was truly a fool or just playing dumb.

“Loulan? This place is actually Loulan? I thought Loulan was supposed to be a bunch of ruins?” Naruto turned to look at the intact and even somewhat prosperous town around him, scratching his head in confusion.

Looking at Uzumaki Naruto like this, Kakashi felt a strange sense of familiarity, because Obito was usually in this state as well.

Since Uzumaki Naruto hadn’t made any effort to control his volume, the surrounding pedestrians were all glancing over at them.

Sensing trouble, Kakashi had no choice but to lead Uzumaki Naruto to a secluded spot; if they continued like this, they would be exposed before the investigation even began.

“By the way, your last name wouldn’t happen to be Hatake, would it?” Naruto couldn’t help but ask Kakashi on the way.

He thought the child in front of him might be the illegitimate son of his teacher, Kakashi Hatake.

Kakashi nodded calmly. It wasn’t the Sengoku period anymore; giving out a surname wasn’t a problem.

“It really is! Kakashi-sensei is really too much, having such a big kid in secret without telling me,” Uzumaki Naruto said with a look of indignation.

    Kakashi:???

Kakashi looked at Uzumaki Naruto with a face full of question marks. What did he mean? He was his own child? Was there another person in the world named Kakashi Hatake?

“Haha, Kakashi, he’s calling you ‘Teacher’, even though you’re your own son!” Obito couldn’t help but laugh loudly.

He thought Uzumaki Naruto was incredibly amusing. If Uzumaki Naruto really was a Konoha Ninja, Obito definitely wanted to be friends with him; he was too funny.

    Pfft.

Uzumaki Naruto’s words made even Rin Nohara burst out laughing. She felt that Uzumaki Naruto must know Kakashi and had excellent acting skills; he was playing it so convincingly.

Kakashi looked at Naruto with a dark expression, feeling that Naruto was a Ninja who knew him and was deliberately trying to annoy him.

“Ah, where is Kakashi-sensei?” Because of Obito’s words, Uzumaki Naruto looked around, searching for Kakashi’s presence.

“Hahaha, I can’t take it!” Obito laughed even louder. Based on this encounter alone, he felt that taking this mission was the right choice.

“Who exactly are you? Stop pretending,” Kakashi, unable to take it anymore, asked directly.

He felt that if this continued, he would leave Obito with a mountain of jokes to use against him; how could he endure that?

“Didn’t I already give you my Ninja ID? I’m Uzumaki Naruto,” Uzumaki Naruto said, scratching his head in confusion.

“Are you referring to that Ninja ID full of loopholes? The forgery is indeed well-done, but there are too many errors in the data,” Kakashi said coolly.

“If you can’t tell the truth, then we can only communicate in the way of the Ninja.” Kakashi silently pulled a Kunai from his tool pouch. By now, they had walked to a very secluded area.

Although Uzumaki Naruto appeared harmless, the information revealed by this situation forced Kakashi to take it seriously.

“I really don’t get what you’re thinking,” Uzumaki Naruto was a bit bewildered, not knowing how he had offended them.

Even though he had been laughing at Kakashi, once Kakashi prepared to actually fight, Obito chose to step in and help immediately.

    “Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!”

Obito gathered a large amount of Chakra in his throat and spat out a massive flame, forming a fireball that hurtled toward Uzumaki Naruto.

“Whoa, whoa! If you’re going to attack, I’ll beat you until you cry, even if you are related to Kakashi-sensei!” Naruto said as he easily dodged the Great Fireball.

“So fast. His strength is not simple,” Kakashi thought, becoming more cautious after seeing Naruto’s speed.

Since the opponent was not simple, Kakashi concentrated his breathing to the limit to enhance his abilities, then drew his White Fang Short Blade and slashed at Uzumaki Naruto.

    “Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu!”

Seeing that both of them had attacked, Naruto started as well, directly utilizing the massive amount of Chakra in his body to instantly create over eighty Shadow Clones.

    Bang! Bang! Bang!!

With bursts of white smoke, Kakashi and Obito were instantly surrounded by numerous Shadow Clones.

At first, Kakashi thought they were just deceptive illusions, but upon engaging, he discovered they were all solid clones.

“What terrifying Chakra!” Kakashi’s expression became grim. Naruto, who had just created so many Shadow Clones in one breath, still looked perfectly normal.

Kakashi cast aside all distractions and threw himself into the battle, fighting against Naruto’s incoming Shadow Clones.

Nearby, Obito was also stunned by Naruto’s human-wave tactics; it was his first time seeing someone use Shadow Clones like this.

Most Ninjas used Shadow Clones for gathering intelligence, and their use in battle was generally tactical and flexible; almost no one used them for a reckless frontal assault.

Rin Nohara’s mouth hung open slightly at the scene. She hadn’t expected a Ninja they randomly encountered on the road to possess such strength.

    “Fire Style: Orochi Nagi!”

Obito concentrated his breathing and gathered a large amount of Chakra in his palm, converting it all into Fire Release in one go under the enhancement of Flame Breathing, which then surged forth.

    Whoosh! Whoosh!!!

The ferociously powerful flames instantly swallowed more than half of the Naruto Shadow Clones around him, leaving scorched black marks on the ground.

    “Flash: Two-Fold!”

Flashing blue lightning appeared on Kakashi’s feet. With his body enhanced by Lightning Release, he ran at extreme speed and swung his blade, also clearing out a large number of Naruto’s Shadow Clones.

Their performance gave Uzumaki Naruto a small surprise. Although it was partly because he didn’t really want to fight, their ability to quickly eliminate so many of his Shadow Clones was quite good. After all, Obito and the others looked about the same age as Konohamaru.

“Not bad at all.” Naruto cracked his wrists, a mischievous smirk appearing on his face.

Although Naruto liked Kakashi as a teacher, Kakashi had certainly done his fair share of wicked deeds.

“Blame your father for this,” Naruto thought to himself. He instantly burst with Chakra, creating over a hundred more clones, and then his original body charged out along with them.

Seeing another batch of Shadow Clones created by Uzumaki Naruto, sweat appeared on Kakashi’s forehead. He realized that the three of them might not be able to defeat Uzumaki Naruto.

“I have to make a bigger scene to let Muzuki-sensei know what’s happening here,” Kakashi thought rapidly, searching for a strategy.

They had Muzuki’s Flying Thunder God Kunai on them. If Muzuki knew they were in trouble, he could come over instantly. Although this Uzumaki Naruto seemed very strong, Kakashi didn’t believe he could beat Muzuki.

Because Uzumaki Naruto’s performance was too exaggerated, Kakashi immediately entered the Transparent World state. Everything about himself and his surroundings became transparent in his eyes, greatly increasing his power and insight.

Two fists are no match for four hands. Although Kakashi could see where the attacks were coming from, Naruto’s Shadow Clones were simply too numerous, and they weren’t weak either. With Naruto’s original body causing chaos, Kakashi soon took a punch to the face.

Rin Nohara tried to use Water Release to help Kakashi, but Naruto used a Rasengan to directly shatter her Water Release.

Seeing Kakashi fall into a disadvantage, Obito stopped worrying about his Chakra consumption and directly entered the Flame Breathing Chakra Mode.

“Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!”

Orochi Nagi had high power, but its range was average, so Obito chose the wider-reaching Fire Dragon Flame Bullet.

As the Chakra in Obito’s body was continuously consumed, orange-red high-temperature flames were spat from his mouth, quickly forming a small sea of fire that burned a large number of Naruto’s Shadow Clones to nothing.

Immediately after, Obito controlled the orange-red flames to attack all the Uzumaki Narutos from three different directions.

Because they were solid clones, even with his Sharingan, he couldn’t see through the Shadow Clones to find Naruto’s original body among the many duplicates.

Kakashi felt a sense of relief. Compared to his Lightning Release, Obito’s Fire Release was more spectacular and attention-grabbing. Such fierce flames only needed to be maintained for a short while to attract attention.

    “Water Release: Water Wave Hand!”

But just then, someone suddenly released a Water Release technique. A fierce stream of water, like a sea wave, surged forward and instantly extinguished all the flames Obito had spat out.

Kakashi, who had just relaxed, felt his heart sink again. The enemy wasn’t alone; they had backup.

Kakashi looked over to see a Ninja wearing a black combat suit, a Konoha chunin vest, and a Konoha Headband slowly walking toward them.

Kakashi felt that they might have unintentionally stumbled into a massive conspiracy directed at Konoha.
