Chapter Index

    “It’s Friday!” Obito replied enthusiastically.

“Tomorrow is Thursday, and Teacher Muzuki probably isn’t asking what day of the week it is,” Rin Nohara corrected.

She didn’t think Muzuki was someone who would forget what day it was and have to ask his students, and besides, there was no need to call three people just to ask what day it was.

“I’ve been using Shadow Clones for school recently, so I haven’t really paid attention to the date. So today is still Wednesday,” Obito explained with a chuckle, scratching his head.

“Is it the day the barbecue restaurant has a discount? Or an anniversary of being a teacher for so many days?” Obito continued to guess.

“Are you going to teach us a new, super powerful Forbidden Ninjutsu?” Might Guy guessed.

“Probably not, the Breathing Technique hasn’t been learned yet, and Shisui doesn’t seem to be here,” Obito noticed a problem.

“Tomorrow is Shisui’s birthday,” Muzuki said directly, without further suspense.

“I deliberately didn’t call Shisui. We’ll give him a surprise tomorrow,” Muzuki explained with a smile.

Being direct was good, but Muzuki felt that a sudden surprise would yield more rewards. Extreme emotions might lead to an unprecedented critical hit, revealing skills above the proficient level.

“So it’s Shisui’s birthday,” Obito showed a look of sudden realization.

“It’s tomorrow? Why didn’t he tell us in advance?” Obito scratched his head, a bit confused.

He felt that starting preparations tonight might already be too late.

“Maybe he doesn’t want to trouble others,” Rin Nohara said after thinking for a moment.

She had joined later and hadn’t known Shisui as long as Might Guy and Obito, but it had been about two months.

Shisui gave her the impression of someone who would silently do everything himself and didn’t like to trouble others.

During daily training, Shisui usually did a lot of self-study, only seeking Muzuki’s help when he truly couldn’t figure something out. This was very different from Obito, who would quickly seek Muzuki’s guidance whenever he encountered a problem.

“How can it be trouble? Isn’t it natural to celebrate a friend’s birthday?” Obito was even more puzzled.

“Let’s not discuss that for now. Let’s discuss how to celebrate Shisui’s birthday,” Muzuki said.

Obito’s personality meant that he currently found it difficult to understand some of Shisui’s actions.

“Buy a birthday cake,” Obito suggested.

“I’ll give him a useful tracksuit,” Might Guy said excitedly.

“Since it’s a surprise, Shisui should only know at the last moment. We can decorate Shisui’s room with birthday decorations beforehand.”

“After all, Shisui stays with Teacher Muzuki during the day and doesn’t go home, so it should be easy to do,” Rin Nohara suggested.

Muzuki nodded. In terms of daily matters, Shisui and Rin Nohara were more reliable, while Obito and Might Guy were both prone to antics.

“We just don’t know where Shisui’s home is,” Rin Nohara continued.

“I know, I know!” Obito volunteered, stepping forward.

Both he and Shisui were from the Uchiha Clan and lived in the Uchiha territory. Their homes were actually not very far apart.

“Then this is what we’ll do: tomorrow, everyone will maintain their normal training routine, then find time to decorate the room, and finally, give Shisui a surprise when he returns home in the evening,” Muzuki said after thinking for a moment.

    The disciples all nodded.

After the discussion was complete, everyone went home.

The next day, Shisui woke up as usual. After washing up, he first used a Shadow Clone to send it to school.

Then Shisui went to Obito’s house to call Obito to go train together.

“Goodbye, Grandma,” Obito said, bidding farewell to his Grandma while quickly heading to the entrance to change his shoes and leave.

“Make sure to take good care of Shisui, he’s younger than you,” Grandma reminded him.

After Shisui came to find Obito a few times, Obito’s Grandma also got to know Shisui.

“I know!” Although he felt Shisui didn’t need his care at all, Obito still replied.

“What are we eating for breakfast today? Are we having Uncle Teuchi’s pancakes or going to the street for dango?” Obito asked.

“Obito, go to whichever place you want to eat at,” Shisui replied.

Unless he had to choose between Muzuki’s cooking and non-Muzuki’s cooking, Shisui would choose to eat what his companions wanted.

“Then let’s go to Uncle Teuchi’s. It’s close and I haven’t had it in days,” Obito quickly decided.

Even Ninja clans like the Uchiha had some ordinary people who hadn’t become Ninjas. The Uncle Teuchi Obito mentioned was one of them, whose full name was Uchiha Teuchi, and he ran a pancake shop.

The two walked towards the South Border Forest while eating pancakes, and on the way, they also helped an old Grandma who had fallen.

“Teacher Muzuki,” After arriving, the two greeted Muzuki and began their training.

Obito continued to research the technique of one-handed hand signs, while Shisui continued to practice Total Concentration Breathing.

“Concentrate, concentrate more on your breathing,” Shisui said, running rapidly while controlling his breathing rhythm and Chakra, continuously increasing his speed.

At the same time, the use of Chakra and the Breathing Technique caused Shisui’s stamina to deplete very quickly. After his stamina was exhausted, he had to stop and rest for a while.

“The burst intensity is still not enough. I still need to practice for quite some time,” Shisui reflected on his recent training during his rest.

His Total Concentration Breathing was still not concentrated enough; he couldn’t achieve the burst effect Muzuki had described.

While Shisui was resting, Obito came over and asked Shisui some insights about one-handed hand signs.

“As for gifts, Shisui, what kind of gift would you like?” Obito asked.

“Gifts? Why are you suddenly asking about this?” Obito’s sudden leap from the topic of Ninjutsu to gifts left Shisui a bit confused.

Seeing Shisui’s puzzled expression, Obito worried that Shisui would discover something and quickly tried to cover it up:

“Haha, after all, I’ve been troubling you a bit lately, Shisui, so I was just thinking if I should get you something, or do you have anything you want to eat, like ramen?”

“It’s just mutual help between companions, you don’t need to do this,” Shisui replied.

Because Obito was usually very erratic, Shisui didn’t notice anything for the time being.

Later, Obito was lightly hit by Muzuki’s Shadow Clone for not concentrating on his training.

At noon, Obito’s Shadow Clone led Muzuki and Rin Nohara to Shisui’s house.

“Does Shisui live in such a big place by himself?” Might Guy asked after entering, realizing that Shisui’s house was quite large, three times the size of their own home.

“It should be a building constructed during the village’s founding period,” Rin Nohara, who had good history grades, could recall similar buildings from her textbooks.

“None of that matters, let’s start decorating. Class time will be here soon,” Obito said.

“Be careful when decorating, don’t break anything in Shisui’s house,” Muzuki reminded them.

He tried to choose things that were easy to clean up so that after celebrating Shisui’s birthday, cleaning up would be quick.

    There’s still
