Chapter Index

    Early morning.

Obito woke up early, had breakfast, and hurried to Training Ground #2.

On the way, whenever he encountered an elder who needed help, he would create a Shadow Clone to assist, while his main body continued on his way.

After all, he was the one who asked Kakashi and the others to help; how could he, the initiator, be late?

With the boost of waking up early and hurrying, Obito successfully arrived at the Training Ground when it was still empty, achieving his first goal.

After about six or seven minutes, Izumo Kamizuki, Kotetsu Hagane, and other disciples arrived at the Training Ground one after another.

“Good morning, Squad Leader Obito, you’re here so early today,” Kotetsu Hagane greeted him.

Ninja squads all have their fixed assembly times, and usually, everyone arrives at roughly the same time.

“Not bad, after all, I’m the squad leader,” Obito nodded in response.

Soon, all three squad members had arrived.

Kakashi Hatake and Rin Nohara had not yet arrived, not because they were late, but because Obito had specifically given them a later assembly time.

“Squad Leader Obito, which Ninja did you find to teach us Ninjutsu?” Kotetsu Hagane asked with anticipation.

Ishizaka Yoshio didn’t even know Lightning Release, let alone teach him powerful Lightning Release Ninjutsu, so he was really looking forward to Obito’s reward.

“You are all my future Shadow Guards; how could I treat you poorly? It will definitely be a powerful Jonin,” Obito said proudly, patting Kotetsu Hagane’s shoulder.

“Even across the entire Ninja World, they are one of the top elites, and their Lightning Release skill is beyond reproach.”

Kotetsu Hagane’s eyes immediately lit up upon hearing this.

Although it was a bit unfair to Ishizaka Yoshio, Kotetsu Hagane had to admit that, as a squad leader, Obito was currently cooler.

He had no doubt that Obito had such connections. Obito himself was a famous super genius, a member of the Uchiha, Konoha’s strongest clan, and also a Hokage disciple.

Kakashi Hatake had just arrived at the Training Ground and heard Obito’s speech.

“Of course, his strength is still a bit inferior to mine, but he can still be considered a Lightning Release expert,” Obito said with a chuckle.

Kakashi Hatake showed an ‘as expected’ expression.

The reason Obito praised him was purely to elevate himself even higher.

However, there wasn’t much wrong with Obito’s words; currently, Kakashi Hatake indeed couldn’t defeat Obito.

Of course, truth is truth, but he still had to feel annoyed.

“It’s Senior Kakashi!” Izumo Kamizuki just happened to glimpse Kakashi Hatake walking over and exclaimed.

If Obito was the memorable genius of their first year at Ninja Academy, then Kakashi Hatake was a legendary genius to them.

Kakashi Hatake entered Ninja Academy at five and graduated at five; when Kakashi Hatake graduated from Ninja Academy, they were still two-year-old children.

Although he never attended the same school as Kakashi Hatake, Kakashi Hatake left too many legends at Ninja Academy. The name Kakashi Hatake left a truly deep impression.

Kotetsu Hagane’s mouth was already stretched almost to his ears.

Although Kakashi Hatake was famous for his Lightning Release Sword Style, powerful Lightning Release Sword Style also required superb Lightning Release skill, and Kotetsu Hagane might not be unable to learn sword style.

“Oh, it’s you all. Anko-chan, long time no see,” Rin Nohara greeted with a smile.

Rin Nohara was not unfamiliar with Anko and Kotetsu Hagane.

When Muzuki held special training at the Ninja Academy, in addition to the Fourth Grade graduates, excellent first-year Ninja also joined the training, and Anko and the others were all there.

“Indeed, let’s eat dango together when we have time,” Anko responded enthusiastically.

“In that case, Senior Rin is teaching me,” Izumo Kamizuki analyzed in his mind.

Izumo Kamizuki looked at Kotetsu Hagane with some envy. Rin Nohara was not ordinary among the Konoha Jonin, but she was still far behind Kakashi Hatake.

Moreover, compared to Water Release, Rin Nohara was more famous for her Medical Ninjutsu. It was said that she had received Tsunade’s true teachings, and her medical abilities made even some experienced, veteran Medical Jonin feel inferior.

Seeing his two squad members and future Shadow Guards highly praise Kakashi Hatake, Obito turned to Kakashi Hatake and said:

“Kakashi, although you lost to me in the last battle, don’t be discouraged. Keep working hard, and you might still catch up to me.”

    Kakashi Hatake:?

Who’s talking about that with you?

“Oh, as expected of Squad Leader Obito, it must have been an incredibly exciting battle. It’s a pity I couldn’t watch it in person,” Izumo Kamizuki said, giving him a lot of face.

Obito smiled with satisfaction, “It’s alright, there will always be opportunities in the future.”

“Who among you wants to learn Lightning Release from me?” Kakashi Hatake asked Kotetsu Hagane and the other two.

He wasn’t familiar with Kotetsu Hagane and the others and didn’t know what Ninjutsu they knew.

“Senior Kakashi, it’s me,” Kotetsu Hagane quickly stepped forward and said.

“Study hard. If you learn well, I have a mysterious reward,” Kakashi Hatake said with a smile.

“As expected of Senior Kakashi, who is known as Lightning Fang! In fact, I’ve been a fan of yours since birth, Senior Kakashi!” Kotetsu Hagane said excitedly.

Being taught by Kakashi Hatake was already a reward from Obito, and now he could receive another reward from Kakashi Hatake. This was a reward on top of a reward.

“What reward? Can I have one?” Anko asked curiously.

“A very interesting photo. If you want one, you can have it too,” Kakashi Hatake replied leisurely, saying something that made Obito’s expression change dramatically.

“Squad member Kotetsu, it’s not that I’m lecturing you, but Ninja training is about strengthening oneself, about protecting the Village. Pursuing rewards will only tarnish your dreams,” Obito said with a serious expression.

Kotetsu Hagane was a bit confused. What Obito said seemed to make sense, but hadn’t Obito himself set up rewards not long ago?

Squad Leader Obito, are you sober?

“Squad member Anko, you too. We, Team Six Ninja, must put an end to such unhealthy practices! We must maintain the purity of training and practice,” Obito looked at Anko with righteous indignation.

Anko thought about the dango Obito had returned and nodded.

“Obito, what you said makes a lot of sense. Then I won’t use it as a reward; I’ll just give it to everyone directly,” Kakashi Hatake agreed, nodding, and then reached into his Ninja tool pouch.

    Whoosh!

Obito burst out with terrifying speed and grabbed Kakashi Hatake’s outstretched hand.

“So Kakashi, you still have something to tell me, huh? Let’s go talk over there; we won’t disturb Rin while she’s teaching.”

Obito said, concentrating his breathing to the extreme, and pulled Kakashi Hatake aside.

Anko scratched her hair and complained, “How strange. I always feel like Squad Leader Obito and Senior Kakashi are silently communicating about many things we don’t know.”

She felt like she had accidentally turned a few extra pages while reading a novel and suddenly couldn’t understand what Obito and Kakashi Hatake were saying.

“That’s just how they are; they have a very good relationship,” Rin Nohara explained with a smile.

    “I see.”

Anko made an expression of sudden realization but still didn’t understand what Kakashi Hatake and Obito had just said.

On the other side, Obito pulled Kakashi Hatake behind a large tree.

Kakashi Hatake looked at Obito with a smile, “What, Squad Leader Obito, are you worried about your glorious image being affected?”

“There were a lot of people over there just now, Kakashi. I apologize to you now. I shouldn’t have kept saying that you’re not as good as me and that you lost to me.”

Obito clasped his hands together and looked at Kakashi Hatake with a sincere expression, apologizing.

“When I become Hokage, all white-haired people will have to take a test every day!” Obito had already vowed in his heart to retaliate against all white-haired people in the world.

That one photo had threatened him so many times. This white-haired person was not just generally evil; he had to be dealt with severely.

“Let’s forget about the photo. Anko and the others hate looking at photos and can’t stand such things.” While mentally executing Kakashi Hatake, Obito’s mouth was still relentlessly working.

“Is that so? Then we need to conduct desensitization training, otherwise, if something goes wrong during a mission later, it won’t be good,” Kakashi Hatake continued with a smile.

“Add another 100,000 ryo to the training fee!” Obito reluctantly offered a new condition.

That was 100,000 ryo! With a little more money, he could buy a new, good camera.

“On second thought, a photo as a reward is indeed not very good,” Kakashi Hatake instantly changed his tune.

Although he hadn’t originally planned to actually spread the photo, seeing Obito’s pained expression was quite amusing.

Just like that, a pleased Kakashi Hatake and a forced-smile Obito walked back to the team.

“Show me your strongest Lightning Release Ninjutsu,” Kakashi Hatake said to Kotetsu Hagane.

Since he had agreed to teach, Kakashi Hatake would naturally teach responsibly and not disgrace Muzuki.

    “Lightning Release: Electric Shockwave!”

Kotetsu Hagane nodded, quickly performed hand signs, and gathered Chakra in his palms.

The moment the hand signs were completed, all the gathered Chakra in his palms was converted into Lightning Release Chakra.

    Fizz! Fizz!!

Kotetsu Hagane’s palms were rapidly covered in yellow lightning, and then a bolt of lightning shot out from one palm, leaving two charred marks on the wooden dummy ten meters away.

Kakashi Hatake roughly understood Kotetsu Hagane’s Lightning Release level, but he didn’t immediately begin teaching. Instead, he tested him again before deciding which Ninjutsu to teach Kotetsu Hagane.

“The Ninjutsu I’m going to teach you is called Lightning Release: Violent Lightning Spear, a B-rank Lightning Release Ninjutsu developed by Teacher Muzuki,” Kakashi Hatake said.

He was willing to teach Pseudo-Darkness and Purple Lightning, but those two consumed too much Chakra and were not something Kotetsu Hagane could currently use.

Hearing that it was a B-rank Lightning Release Ninjutsu, and developed by Muzuki no less, Kotetsu Hagane nodded rapidly like a pecking chick.

The only B-rank Ninjutsu he currently mastered was Shadow Clone; he only knew one C-rank and one D-rank Lightning Release Ninjutsu.

On the other side, after careful consideration, Rin Nohara decided to teach Izumo Kamizuki the Raging Current Bundle, developed by Muzuki.

This Water Release Ninjutsu was quite powerful, but it didn’t consume much Chakra; it mainly tested the level of Chakra shape transformation.

If Izumo Kamizuki learned it, even if he became a Jonin in the future, it would still be a trump card Ninjutsu. If practiced well, it could be used for a lifetime.

Izumo Kamizuki was initially envious of Kotetsu Hagane, but after Rin Nohara began teaching, he realized that Rin Nohara was stronger than he had imagined, more than capable of teaching him, and so he fully immersed himself in his training.

Obito chose to teach Anko the Flame Vortex, which had both range and decent Ninjutsu power, and could even be used for support.

    PS:

The fourth day of explosive updates has been successfully completed, it just got a bit dark. Let’s see if I can adjust it.

Also, please vote for me. I’m only three-sevenths away from fulfilling my promise. Isn’t it fair to say Xiao Ju has been diligent lately?
