Chapter Index

“For the next four days, you all can rest well. No training and no missions.” After returning to Konoha, Minato told the three of them their upcoming schedule.

Minato felt that this mission was too dangerous for Obito and the others. They had just become official Ninja and encountered such powerful enemies, enduring battles of that caliber.

If Obito and the others hadn’t just joined the team, Minato would have given them a full week off to rest and recuperate.

“Resting for so long all at once.” Obito scratched his head, feeling the holiday was a bit too long.

Resting for four consecutive days made him a bit unaccustomed, because after Muzuki completed a mission, he usually rested on the day of return and continued training the next day. Sometimes, if he was more tired, he would take one or two more days off, but he had basically never taken four consecutive days off.

“It’s normal, I guess, given the caliber of enemy we encountered.” Kakashi felt that resting for four days was nothing.

When he was in other teams, he usually rested for a few days after completing an out-of-village mission of C-rank or higher.

However, Kakashi felt that resting for a few days didn’t matter. If every instructing teacher could be like Muzuki, he thought it would be fine even without extra holidays.

Although Muzuki’s pace was relatively tight, he didn’t forcefully compel students to cultivate; in fact, students even spontaneously went to cultivate during holidays.

“In any case, everyone can rest assured for the next few days. You don’t need to worry about the mission; I’ll report it immediately.” Minato said with a gentle smile.

Minato had to report the appearance of the new AB Combo in the Land of Hot Springs to Hiruzen Sarutobi.

This was a bad sign for Konoha, indicating that Kumogakure might gather forces from the Land of Hot Springs to assault the Land of Fire’s border.

“Then, Minato-sensei, goodbye.” Obito smiled and waved goodbye to Minato.

“Minato-sensei, goodbye.” Kakashi also said his farewells.

“Minato-sensei, you also remember to rest well, okay?” Rin Nohara asked with a caring smile.

Initially, due to their previous impressions, Obito and Kakashi always addressed Minato as’Senior’ or ‘Captain’, but during this mission, they re-evaluated Minato and felt his concern for them, realizing the shift in his identity, so their address for Minato changed to’sensei’.

“I will.” Minato smiled, waved goodbye, and then walked towards the Hokage Building.

“Four days of holiday, I’m not even sure what to do during these four days. Rin, what are you planning to do?” Obito asked Rin Nohara with curiosity.

“Today and tomorrow, I’ll probably rest and look at some Medical Ninjutsu information. For the latter two days, I might go to Teacher Muzuki to ask some cultivation questions. According to the time, Ninja Academy is about to start, so Teacher Muzuki might not be as free later.” Rin Nohara thought for a moment and replied.

Obito’s eyes lit up, feeling that Rin Nohara made a lot of sense, but he wasn’t planning to find Muzuki in the latter two days; instead, he was going to the South Border Forest to cultivate tomorrow.

This wasn’t his first encounter with the Raikage Candidate, and Minato had protected them very well, so Obito didn’t feel tired, neither physically nor mentally.

“If I go to Teacher Muzuki for cultivation for all four days, there’s no way Kakashi can catch up to me.” Obito thought to himself.

He was destined to lose to Kakashi in terms of theory; he certainly didn’t want his strength to be surpassed by Kakashi as well.

“What about you, Obito? You’re not thinking of sleeping for four days at home, are you?” Rin Nohara asked jokingly.

“Sleeping for four days is a bit much, but I definitely need to cultivate.” Obito didn’t reveal his specific cultivation plan, but answered vaguely.

“What about you, Kakashi?” Obito asked, looking at Kakashi.

    “Cultivate.” Kakashi replied concisely.

Now, Kakashi’s desire to become stronger was truly immense. Whether it was Obito, Might Guy, or Shisui, he wanted to surpass them all and defeat them in actual combat.

Rin Nohara’s words reminded Kakashi; it was perfect that they had a holiday and Muzuki was free at this time. Cultivating with Muzuki for these four days would be ideal.

Seeing Kakashi looking like a cultivation fanatic, Obito changed his mind. He wouldn’t rest today; he would go home first and then head directly to the South Border Forest to cultivate.

If Kakashi worked hard for a day while he rested for a day, wouldn’t the gap close?

After reaching the intersection, the three separated and went their respective ways.

Upon becoming Might Guy’s instructing teacher, Teacher Chen finally understood why Might Guy possessed such powerful physique at his age.

For his other disciples, Teacher Chen would admonish them for not training enough, leading to their lack of strength, and tell them to cultivate more.

However, after seeing Might Guy’s training, he would caution Might Guy not to overexert himself, as it would harm his body.

Because by Teacher Chen’s somewhat strict standards, Might Guy’s training volume was already far exceeding the norm.

“Haha, Teacher Chen, you don’t have to worry. I’ve always trained this way. Teacher Muzuki adjusted it for me, so there won’t be any problems.” Might Guy explained with a loud laugh.

“Teacher Muzuki? Who is he? With this intensity, there might not be any issues when young, but problems will arise after middle age.” Teacher Chen said seriously.

He was worried that Might Guy had met someone who pretended to know things they didn’t and was deceived.

“Teacher Muzuki’s full name is Hayate Mugetsu. In my eyes, he is a Ninja whose taijutsu is no worse than yours.” Might Guy said with a proud expression.

Although Ebisu said Teacher Chen was Konoha’s best in taijutsu, Might Guy felt that if Muzuki used both Eight Gates and Breathing Technique Markings simultaneously, Teacher Chen definitely couldn’t defeat Muzuki.

Of course, due to Muzuki’s request, Might Guy didn’t exaggerate too much, only saying that he felt Muzuki was no worse than Teacher Chen.

“Hayate Mugetsu, is that the Hayate Mugetsu from the Leaf Newspaper a while ago?” Teacher Chen, having read the newspaper, had a slight impression of the name.

“Yes, that time Teacher Muzuki led us on a food transport mission, and an accident happened. We arrived at the battlefield just as Iwagakure launched a large-scale surprise attack, and then Teacher Muzuki led us to support the battlefield together.” Might Guy nodded and said.

Upon hearing this, Teacher Chen could basically rule out Muzuki being a fraud. He was a Ninja who contributed in battles against Jinchuriki; someone of that strength wouldn’t stoop to that.

“How about this, find a time and tell Hayate Mugetsu that I’d like to talk with him.” Teacher Chen thought for a moment and said.

He saw that Might Guy looked respectful when speaking of Muzuki, so to solve the problem as quickly as possible, it would definitely be to find Muzuki.

Teacher Chen was also a bit curious about Muzuki’s taijutsu level, to make Might Guy say such things.

“Then I’ll go ask Teacher Muzuki after my training finishes.” Might Guy nodded and agreed.

After talking with Might Guy, Teacher Chen reminded Might Guy to rest more before starting his cultivation.

So Might Guy walked towards a large tree, where Shiranui Genma and Ebisu were also resting in the shade.

“What did Teacher Chen talk to you about? His expression looked so serious.” Shiranui Genma asked curiously in a low voice.

Ebisu, hearing Shiranui Genma’s question, also looked at Might Guy; he was also quite eager to know.

“It’s nothing. He just worried I’d get too tired and told me to reduce my training and rest more.” Might Guy replied honestly.

Shiranui Genma’s mouth twitched, feeling the disparity of the world.

Not long ago, he had just been scolded by Teacher Chen for not training hard enough. To motivate him, Teacher Chen even demonstrated his thirty years of skill on the spot, kicking a large rock into pieces.

“But what Teacher Chen said really makes sense. Guy, your training volume is indeed a bit exaggerated; it sounds exhausting just listening to it.” Shiranui Genma said in agreement.

Now he no longer asked why Might Guy’s taijutsu was so strong, because he had personally witnessed Might Guy continuously performing various exaggerated exercises.

As Teacher Chen’s disciple, taijutsu training was naturally indispensable, after all, although Teacher Chen knew Ninjutsu, taijutsu was his strong suit.

But Shiranui Genma felt that Might Guy’s activities weren’t just training; they had reached the level of self-abuse. Just listening to it, he could already imagine how tiring it was.

Shiranui Genma felt that if it were him, he might collapse from exhaustion before even finishing.

“It’s fine, I don’t feel anything. I’ve always trained this way. If I can’t compare to those geniuses, then I just have to work harder to become a hardworking genius!” Might Guy said with a bright smile and a thumbs-up.

“A hardworking genius…” Ebisu mused, realizing it truly suited Might Guy.

If hard work also counted as a talent, then Might Guy was definitely a top genius among them, Ebisu thought so.

Before, he didn’t understand how Might Guy, a student who wasn’t from a Ninja clan and didn’t have a powerful Ninja father, became so strong. After training with Might Guy for a few days, Ebisu had his answer.

“If I had worked this hard in school, would I also have been able to defeat Uchiha Obito?” A thought uncontrollably arose in Ebisu’s mind.

Unfortunately, he would never know the answer, because they had already graduated and were official Genin.

But fortunately, Ebisu discovered a new path in Might Guy: as long as one worked hard enough and persisted, there would be a day of success.

“Guy, I admire you the most. Among the students of our generation, you will definitely be the strongest in the future.” Shiranui Genma patted Might Guy’s shoulder and laughed.

Because Might Guy had used powerful taijutsu that he hadn’t used in the exams, Shiranui Genma believed that the current Might Guy was far ahead of Obito.

“Guy will definitely be very strong in the future. You should worry about yourself instead. You’ve rested for so long, aren’t you going to start cultivating?” Teacher Chen appeared silently behind Shiranui Genma and said.

“How can he walk without making any sound?” Mumbling to himself, Shiranui Genma quickly got up to train.

Before Teacher Chen could speak, Ebisu also tactfully got up and began cultivating. What happened in the past couldn’t be changed, but he could start working hard from now on.

Yesterday, the dog at home kept barking for some reason, so I didn’t sleep well. I’m not in good shape today, so I’m a bit late. There’s another chapter coming.
