Chapter Index

Muzuki didn’t wait until the next day; at ten o’clock that night, he had the Four Kage brought out of prison and into the conference room of the Shinobi Sect office building.

At this moment, Ōnoki and the others no longer had their pre-war demeanor; each of them looked haggard, with many scabs on their bodies, appearing quite disheveled.

Watching Muzuki smiling faintly in the conference room, the four remained utterly silent.

“I imagine after resting for so long, you all have had enough time for reflection, or perhaps someone hasn’t rested enough?”

Muzuki broke the silence and asked.

“Hokage, just tell us what you want to do directly.”

The blunt Third Raikage said in a deep voice.

He couldn’t figure out how Muzuki intended to deal with their Four Great Shinobi Villages, so he simply asked directly.

“I want to establish a Ninja World Alliance that all Ninja Villages will participate in, responsible for the peace and security of the entire Ninja World.”

Muzuki didn’t play games and stated directly.

“So, he wants to form an Alliance; no wonder Muzuki said that the Shinobi Sect and Konoha would be allies in the future.”

Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was invited to observe, thought to himself.

“All Ninja Villages? Does that mean Ninja Villages outside the Five Great Ninja Villages will also be invited?”

    Ōnoki asked.

    “Precisely.”

    Muzuki nodded to confirm.

“With all due respect, this doesn’t hold much significance. As long as the Five Great Ninja Villages can reach a consensus, the Ninja World can achieve peace.”

    Ōnoki said meaningfully.

He wasn’t optimistic about Muzuki’s Alliance plan, believing it would ultimately be like the peace established by Senju Hashirama in the early days of the Ninja Village era: once Muzuki died, the Alliance would fall apart, and the Ninja World would once again enter an era of war.

“If that’s all the level you’re at, then you better not speak directly.”

    Muzuki retorted unceremoniously.

This was one of the reasons why he wanted Ōnoki and the others to step down as Kage.

The current Kage, with the exception of him and Rasa, were no longer young; their thinking was outdated, and their views were difficult to change.

As the highly respected Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, even as an enemy, would usually be shown some deference. This was the first time he had been so unceremoniously rebuffed, and he felt a little embarrassed.

However, he was still clear-headed enough to know his current situation. He didn’t retort to Muzuki and obediently shut his mouth, though his expression was not good.

“How exactly will this Alliance be formed? Is it that the Shinobi Sect will be the main body, and all Villages must obey the Shinobi Sect’s commands?”

    Rasa raised his question.

Immediately, all the Kage looked at Muzuki; clearly, they were very concerned about this question.

“No, the leader of the Ninja World Alliance will be elected and will not be an exclusive position for any single power.”

    Muzuki replied.

In his vision, the Shinobi Sect was different from the Ninja Villages. The Shinobi Sect would be part of the Ninja World Alliance, connecting all Ninja Villages at first, until eventually, Ninja from the entire Ninja World became one collective.

As for elections, it was just a formality; besides Muzuki, there was no one else to choose.

The Four Kage felt a little relieved.

Muzuki wanted to ride roughshod over them, and while they were somewhat displeased, they were willing to tolerate it, given Muzuki’s invincible strength.

But if Muzuki wanted to use the Shinobi Sect to ride roughshod over them, then they would have to resist; this was a matter of the Ninja Villages’ continued existence.

“If it’s just like this, then Sunagakure is willing to join the Alliance.”

Rasa thought for a moment and said.

At most, it would just be lowering their heads for a few decades; they could endure it.

“Hidden Mist is also willing to join.”

    The Third Mizukage followed suit.

The Third Raikage and Ōnoki also nodded.

“Are you perhaps mistaken about something, thinking that by joining the Alliance, everything that happened before will be wiped clean?”

Muzuki tapped the conference table and looked at them with a smile.

“You’re thinking too optimistically. Before forming the Alliance, the first thing you must do is have your respective subordinates elect new Kage. You are no longer qualified to serve as Kage. Prepare to spend the rest of your lives in the Six Paths City prison.”

He wanted to form an Alliance, but he wouldn’t easily let the Four Great Shinobi Villages off the hook. Otherwise, how else could he deter the Ninja World and govern it through the Ninja World Alliance?

Rasa was dumbfounded. He hadn’t even been Kazekage for a few years, and now he was being told to step down and spend the rest of his life in prison.

The Third Mizukage fell into deep thought.

He already had the idea of passing on his position to Yagura Karatachi, and given his age, he didn’t have many years left to live. Retiring in Six Paths City didn’t seem entirely out of the question.

The Four Kage’s thoughts raced, all weighing the pros and cons.

“You need to understand one thing: I am not negotiating with you, but giving you a choice.”

    Muzuki emphasized.

“You should feel fortunate for this. If it weren’t for the great external crisis facing the Ninja World, you might not even have had a choice.”

Everyone present showed surprised expressions, Kakuzu and Hiruzen Sarutobi included.

“An external crisis in the sense of the Ninja World?”

Kakuzu looked at Muzuki in confusion.

A crisis from the perspective of the entire Ninja World, and a great one at that, sounded ominous.

“Could this crisis be the reason Muzuki created the Shinobi Sect?”

    Hiruzen Sarutobi pondered internally.

Ōnoki and the other Kage silently looked at Muzuki, waiting for his answer.

This sounded far more terrifying than any Shinobi World War.

“It’s exactly as you’re thinking. But before I explain, I need to call a few more people to listen in.”

    Muzuki nodded and said.

The matter of the Ōtsutsuki had to be announced; it would help promote great unity in the Ninja World.

Then, Muzuki had someone call Minato Namikaze, Obito, and Nagato to the conference room.

Once everyone was present, Muzuki began:

“You all know about the Six Paths Sage, right?”

Everyone nodded. Although their understanding varied, the name was not unfamiliar to them.

“Is the Six Paths Sage not a myth, but a real existence?”

    Ōnoki asked.

He had always thought the Six Paths Sage was just a fictional character from mythology.

“No, the Six Paths Sage was a real Ninja.”

The Third Raikage answered the question for Muzuki; Hidden Cloud Village had a heritage from the Six Paths Sage and knew a little more.

“Could it be that Teacher Muzuki, you are the reincarnation of the Six Paths Sage?”

    Obito asked excitedly.

“I am not his reincarnation. It’s just that what I am about to say is very much connected to him.”

    Muzuki shook his head.

“In myth, the Six Paths Sage created the Ninja World and was its creator god.

In reality, the Six Paths Sage did not create the Ninja World, but he can be said to be the savior of the Ninja World, saving it from his mother, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.”

The conference room suddenly became incredibly quiet. Everyone listened intently to the ancient secret Muzuki was revealing.

“Ōtsutsuki Kaguya is not a human from our Ninja World; she is an extraterrestrial, a member of the Ōtsutsuki Clan from the universe.”

All the people in the conference room looked at Muzuki with expressions of shock.

If it weren’t Muzuki speaking, they would have certainly thought this was nonsense. Aliens had arrived, and this alien was even the mother of the Six Paths Sage.

“Ōtsutsuki Kaguya’s purpose in coming to the Ninja World was not pure. She wanted to plant a Divine Tree in the Ninja World that could absorb the planet’s energy.”

“The Divine Tree is an extremely dangerous existence for a planet, because once its energy is completely absorbed, the planet will turn into a dead star, no longer suitable for life.”

Ōnoki frowned deeply. What Muzuki was saying far exceeded his understanding.

Planting a tree could actually destroy an entire planet; even Ninja novels didn’t write something like this.

“The Ninja World was both unlucky and lucky. Unlucky because it was targeted by the Ōtsutsuki Clan and had a Divine Tree planted.

Lucky because although the Six Paths Sage was Ōtsutsuki Kaguya’s child, he was unwilling to see the Ninja World destroyed by Ōtsutsuki Kaguya and stood up to stop her.”

“Since Ōtsutsuki Kaguya was killed by the Six Paths Sage, does the so-called external crisis mean that the Ōtsutsuki Clan might send people to plant a Divine Tree again?”

Ōnoki thought for a moment and asked.

“That’s part of it, but the crisis closer to us is still Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.”

    Muzuki replied.

“The Six Paths Sage only stopped Ōtsutsuki Kaguya from continuing to plant the Divine Tree, but before the Six Paths Sage was born, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya had already harvested the Divine Tree fruit once and had become an unkillable existence.

Therefore, the Six Paths Sage merely sealed Ōtsutsuki Kaguya. Now, a thousand years later, the seal has become weak, and Ōtsutsuki Kaguya is very likely to break free within the next few decades.”

No one understood these Ōtsutsuki matters, so Muzuki could make things up freely; Black Zetsu certainly wouldn’t jump out to expose him.

“The Six Paths Sage created the Shinobi Sect precisely because he wanted the people of the entire Ninja World to unite and develop together, so that when Ōtsutsuki Kaguya broke free from her seal in the future, the Ninja World would have the ability to eliminate her.”

“But things did not go as planned. Not long after the Six Paths Sage died, the Shinobi Sect split and war broke out. For the thousand years that followed, the Ninja World was plunged into endless conflict, and development in all aspects was very limited.”

At this point, Muzuki paused, giving everyone in the conference room ample time to think.

The Kage fell silent. The information Muzuki had provided was too shocking, and they were contemplating its authenticity.

“How does Habsheng Muzuki know so many ancient secrets?”

    Ōnoki was very puzzled.

If everything about Ōtsutsuki Kaguya was true, he really suspected that Muzuki had lied about being the reincarnation of the Six Paths Sage.

If not the Six Paths Sage, who else could know so much?

“Planting a Divine Tree, destroying the Ninja World…”

The Third Raikage’s expression was serious.

Given such a terrifying enemy, unity was indeed very necessary.

The disciples were also astonished by these ancient secrets, and for a moment, their thoughts ran wild.

“No wonder Teacher Muzuki wanted to create the Shinobi Sect; it was to deal with a world-ending crisis. As expected of Muzuki Sage!”

Obito instantly concocted a Ninja novel plot in his mind.

“I must closely follow Teacher Muzuki’s footsteps.”

    Nagato thought to himself.

Jiraiya once told him that he hoped he could become a Ninja who brought peace to the Ninja World, like the Six Paths Sage.

Now it seemed that the peace created by the Six Paths Sage was not much different from Hashirama Senju’s peace.

For lasting peace, it still depended on Muzuki and the new Shinobi Sect he created.

“Teacher Muzuki, can’t you seal Ōtsutsuki Kaguya again like the Six Paths Sage did?”

Obito broke the silence in the conference room and asked with a curious expression.

“I can’t. I am still a considerable distance from the Six Paths Sage’s realm.”

Muzuki shook his head in denial.

“Then can we gather the Sealing Technique masters of the Ninja World to reinforce Ōtsutsuki Kaguya’s seal?”

Minato Namikaze thought for a moment and asked.

The Kage’s eyes lit up. While their Sealing Technique might not be very strong, they still knew basic Sealing Technique knowledge.

Sealing Technique indeed weakens over time, and Ninja can reinforce seals.

“Then we first need to think about how to get to the moon. The moon we usually see was created by the Six Paths Sage to seal Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.”

Muzuki pointed towards the sky and said.

The conference room fell silent again. In their understanding, it was impossible for humans to go to the moon.

“Then what should we do? Can we only wait for Ōtsutsuki Kaguya to break the seal and destroy the Ninja World?”

The Third Raikage looked at Muzuki and asked.

“That’s why I want to unite the entire Ninja World.”

    Muzuki explained.

“Only by pooling the strength of the entire Ninja World and moving forward can the Ninja World possibly have the capital to resist the Ōtsutsuki.”

“Constant warfare will only make the world stagnate. Haven’t you noticed how quickly various new technologies have appeared in the few years since the war ended?”

The Kage were speechless. As Kage, they naturally knew whether what Muzuki said was true or false.

“The Ninja World doesn’t have any more time to waste. If you refuse to cooperate, I will erase your Ninja Villages to achieve peace in the Ninja World.”

    Muzuki issued the ultimatum.

He wasn’t Hashirama, who would beg for cooperation; if they wanted to drag their feet, they could die.

“Sunagakure is willing to join the Alliance. I can also abdicate and elect a new Kazekage. I am even willing to rally Sunagakure to support you, Hokage, as the Alliance leader.

But Hokage, what you’ve said are secrets not even recorded in ancient texts. We cannot confirm whether your information is true or false. Please, Hokage, tell us the source of your information.”

Rasa voiced the concern most on the Kage’s minds.

Muzuki was talking about things they didn’t know at all, and they couldn’t judge whether Muzuki had mixed in his own agenda, or if it was all his own agenda with no true information at all.

Muzuki took out the Rokudo Shakujo from his system space.

“Those of you who have paid attention to the Shinobi Sect should know that I received the sage art inheritance. This staff, once used by the Six Paths Sage, is one of the rewards. Besides that, there is the Six Paths Sage’s Chakra.

I saw his past from the Six Paths Sage’s Chakra, which is how I learned this information. It was also at that time that I obtained these eyes.”

As he spoke, Muzuki condensed Chakra in his eyes, and his blue pupils changed into one white and one gold.

Hearing about the Six Paths Sage’s Chakra, everyone showed a look of sudden realization. No wonder Muzuki was even more exaggerated than Senju Hashirama; if he had obtained the Six Paths Sage’s Chakra, then it made sense.

“Is there any difference between this and being the reincarnation of the Six Paths Sage?”

Ōnoki thought speechlessly. He had obtained memories and Chakra; what else was this if not the reincarnation of the Six Paths Sage?

    “Sunagakure has no objections.”

Rasa expressed his agreement with Muzuki’s plan.

    “Hidden Mist as well.”

    “Kumogakure agrees.”

The Kage all expressed their positions, agreeing to Muzuki’s plan.

In fact, even without the Ōtsutsuki matter, they would most likely have chosen to join the Alliance. Muzuki, as the strongest, had shown great sincerity by taking this step.

However, the Ōtsutsuki matter made them realize one thing: the Ninja World truly could not continue like this.

PS: After this plot arc ends and a final wrap-up, it will be the Fourth Shinobi World War from the original work.
