Chapter Index

    Konoha, South Border Forest.

Kakashi and Shisui stood face to face, staring directly into Shisui’s blood-red Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

“What level of intensity was that just now?” Kakashi asked.

He had almost instantly dispelled the genjutsu Shisui cast on him.

“Level one intensity. It seems your training method is indeed effective,” Shisui replied.

They had divided the training into six levels based on the amount of Chakra injected into the bending spoon. Injecting one-fifth of the Chakra was level one intensity, and two-fifths was level two.

Level six intensity was special; it involved refining and injecting Chakra simultaneously to achieve the ultimate genjutsu intensity.

Under normal circumstances, level one intensity was actually the limit for Shisui in combat, because he couldn’t waste too much Chakra to strengthen the bending spoon.

Otherwise, it would be awkward to have a bonus but no Chakra to use Ninjutsu.

Before the genjutsu training, Shisui had used genjutsu to control Kakashi and win in their internal battle.

After a month and a half of genjutsu training, Kakashi could now instantly break free from Shisui’s genjutsu, which was a very effective training.

“Thank you, Shisui,” Kakashi sincerely thanked Shisui.

Shisui had truly helped him a lot this time. Kakashi hadn’t expected the training to progress so smoothly, with significant improvement in just over a month.

Transparent World was his most core ability at the moment. Improving Transparent World meant his upper limit of strength also increased.

“It’s nothing. I also got to train my genjutsu,” Shisui replied with a faint smile.

Although they would do their best to defeat each other in internal battles, and would try to hide their own information a month before the internal battle for that purpose.

But they were comrades who had gone through life and death together, and they were all Muzuki’s disciples, so they would do their best to help wherever they could.

Next, Shisui also let Zorua try, and Zorua’s genjutsu had no effect on Kakashi.

“It seems the stronger the Transparent World, the harder it is to fall into genjutsu, and the faster it is to dispel genjutsu,” Kakashi nodded thoughtfully.

The more he practiced the Ninjutsu secret techniques taught by Muzuki, the more unfathomable Muzuki seemed.

Now Kakashi even felt that Muzuki’s talent in Ninjutsu had surpassed Second Hokage Tobirama Senju.

Just one derivative ability of the Breathing Technique had an effect that surpassed many well-known secret techniques in the Ninja World.

After the daily genjutsu training, Kakashi continued his practice of swordsmanship and Lightning Release Chakra Nature Transformation.

Currently, his core training was still Lightning Release swordsmanship, striving to master No Thought Strike as soon as possible.

As their strength grew, progress became increasingly difficult. Kakashi and the others discussed changing the internal battle time to once every six months, which meant twice a year.

He still had over four months to refine his Lightning Release swordsmanship.

Seeing Kakashi successfully test a training method that worked for Transparent World, Muzuki also prepared to conduct similar training on himself, using Shadow Clone to cast genjutsu to train his main body.

However, Muzuki didn’t have too much hope for this, because his Transparent World was much stronger than Kakashi’s, and his genjutsu level was very ordinary compared to his other abilities.

After Might Guy had trained for half a day and rested for twenty minutes, he didn’t immediately resume training. Instead, he clenched his fists and used Eight Gates.

“Eight Gates, Fourth Gate, Gate of Pain, Open!”

Might Guy was already very proficient with Eight Gates, and opening the Fourth Gate in seconds was easy for him.

    “Rock Breathing Chakra Mode!”

After opening the Fourth Gate of Eight Gates, Might Guy didn’t stop. He immediately focused his breathing to the extreme and entered Rock Breathing Chakra Mode.

    Whoosh! Whoosh!!

The constantly burning Chakra in his body greatly increased Might Guy’s strength again, and his powerful aura drew the attention of the other disciples.

“What’s he doing? Training his body shouldn’t require such a grand display, right?” Obito was curious about what Might Guy intended to do.

Maintaining a Breathing Technique during training could enhance the training effect, but Eight Gates should not; it only had negative effects.

“Has his body strength met the standard?” Kakashi stopped swinging his sword and looked in Might Guy’s direction.

Might Guy had been able to open the Fifth Gate of Eight Gates without pressure for a long time, but his body couldn’t simultaneously withstand the pressure from the Fifth Gate and Rock Breathing Chakra Mode. Usually, he only stacked Rock Breathing Chakra Mode with the Fourth Gate.

“It should be about ready,” Might Guy clenched his fists, carefully sensing the power surging within his body.

    “Gate of Limit, Open!”

Might Guy roared and opened the Fifth Gate of Eight Gates. The amount of Chakra in his body surged again, and his entire aura became stronger again.

Might Guy clenched his fists and injected a large amount of Chakra into them, then threw a simple, unadorned punch at a large tree in front of him.

    Bang!!

Before Might Guy’s fist could even touch the large tree, the punch force generated by his swing caused the tree to break and fly away.

Might Guy sensed his body again and found that, as he had expected, after a long period of training, his body strength was now sufficient to support him using the Fifth Gate of Eight Gates and Rock Breathing Chakra Mode simultaneously.

Kakashi silently turned his head and continued to train diligently.

Actually, this wasn’t really a breakthrough for Might Guy. Both the Fifth Gate of Eight Gates and Rock Breathing Chakra Mode were abilities he had mastered for some time.

However, Might Guy’s body had become stronger this time, finally allowing him to use them together normally without injury.

“As long as I can master No Thought Strike, everything will be fine,” Kakashi swung his sword with unwavering determination, one strike after another.

“When can we prohibit each other from using one ability in internal battles?” Looking at Might Guy, who could now normally stack the Fifth Gate and Rock Breathing Chakra Mode, Obito felt immense pressure.

He would rather not use his Sharingan in exchange for Might Guy not being able to use Eight Gates or Rock Breathing Chakra Mode.

【Disciple Might Guy’s strength increased and his prestige rose, making progress on the path to becoming the strongest in Taijutsu. Received progress reward—Medium Constitution Boost, Taijutsu Extraction Scroll · S (Mastery Level), Taijutsu Mastery Scroll】

As Muzuki expected, Might Guy, at 29.9% progress, didn’t need him to do anything. He reached 30% progress after training for a period of time.

The specific rewards were similar to before, very characteristic of Might Guy, basically all related to Taijutsu or the body. This was a characteristic of life mission rewards, given based on the disciple’s training content.

Muzuki currently had no Taijutsu that needed to be improved with the Taijutsu Mastery Scroll. The S-rank Taijutsu Extraction Scroll, however, piqued Muzuki’s interest. He had received this extraction scroll once before, and the Taijutsu extracted was Golden Skyline.

Since he was currently teaching his disciples in the South Border Forest, Muzuki did not immediately extract the reward.

After all, it would seem a bit strange to suddenly walk away from teaching Ninjutsu, wash his hands, and then space out.

“Teacher Muzuki, I want to receive practical combat training!” Might Guy proactively approached Muzuki.

His last battle with Teacher Chen made Might Guy realize that experienced veterans like Teacher Chen were not easy to deal with. If he rushed into battle immediately after a breakthrough, the result would likely not be good.

“What kind of training do you want? Pressure under powerful attacks, or a close match?” Muzuki asked.

“I want to feel the pressure!” Might Guy chose the most difficult option without hesitation.

Because he felt that if he could withstand pressure in front of the stronger Muzuki, and then go to fight Teacher Chen again, it would be like training with weights normally, and then taking off the weights and going all out in the crucial battle.

“Good,” Muzuki thought for a moment and decided to use his main body to help Might Guy train.

He rarely fought his disciples with his main body because his Shadow Clone’s strength was sufficient.

But Might Guy wanted to feel pressure, and Muzuki felt that using pure Taijutsu might be more effective. This meant Shadow Clone couldn’t be used, as Shadow Clone’s defense was too poor for close-quarters combat.

To avoid disturbing other disciples’ training, Muzuki specifically took Might Guy aside.

Might Guy knew how strong Muzuki was, so he went all out from the very beginning, using both the Fifth Gate of Eight Gates and Rock Breathing Chakra Mode.

To put pressure on Might Guy, Muzuki also directly opened Eight Gates and entered Rock Breathing Chakra Mode, and then also activated Transparent World.

On this day, Might Guy, who had won the disciples’ internal battles for a year, experienced the terror of a Taijutsu Ninja and deeply understood why Obito and the others were unwilling to engage in close-quarters Taijutsu clashes with him in battle.

His strength was suppressed. With the same punch, Muzuki remained still while Might Guy was pushed back eight meters.

His speed was suppressed. Whenever Might Guy thought he had hit Muzuki, he only realized it was an afterimage upon contact.

His moves were seen through. Muzuki seemed to have precognitive abilities, seeing through all of his attacks.

At this moment, Might Guy felt as if he had returned to the very beginning.

Back then, he had just entered the Ninja Academy and heard that Kakashi was a genius, so he went to challenge Kakashi, only to be instantly defeated by one move from Kakashi.

Although the fight was frustrating, Might Guy felt no sadness at all. All he thought about was how he could hit Muzuki and how he could take more moves.

Might Guy didn’t inflict any effective damage on Muzuki for the entire afternoon, yet Might Guy still felt he had gained a lot, more than training for an entire afternoon.

“I’ll challenge Teacher Chen again in a week. I must win this time!” Might Guy set his goal.

After leaving the South Border Forest, Muzuki went to Tsunade’s house as usual to make dinner, and then returned to his home in the Main urban area.

He glanced at the extraction scroll in his backpack, turned on the faucet to wash his hands, and then clicked extract.

    【Taijutsu Extraction Scroll · S used, obtained reward—True Qi Fist (Mastery Level)】

When the extraction was complete, a large amount of cultivation memories about True Qi Fist surged from Muzuki’s mind, as if Muzuki had been cultivating True Qi Fist for more than ten years.

PS: Only one update today, can’t stay up, mental state is a bit poor. I’ll make it up tomorrow depending on the situation.

This chapter was so difficult to write, my head felt like mush when I was writing it. An unhealthy sleep schedule really doesn’t work. It’s better to try and maintain a normal sleep schedule. I hope everyone can maintain a healthy sleep schedule.
