Chapter Index

Days passed, and it was time for Muzuki to begin training the Anbu and Root members.

The training period was two and a half months in total, and Muzuki would complete the training just as the second semester of the Ninja Academy ended.

Before the training officially began, Muzuki received some information about the participating members.

However, since they were all Root and Anbu members, the information Muzuki could obtain was only basic.

Of course, this information was enough for Muzuki; it was just a small training session of less than three months.

There were thirty Ninja participating in the training, with Root and Anbu Ninja each having fifteen slots.

Danzo Shimura and Hiruzen Sarutobi claimed they were new recruits, but where would so many new recruits come from? These two departments usually only recruited a few people a year, slightly more during wartime, but still not many.

Muzuki estimated that they had included some members who had joined Anbu or Root less than three years ago as new recruits in the team.

Before he got the information, Muzuki had guessed the number of people would be less than fifteen.

This result was somewhat beyond his expectations; although it was only thirty people, these were Anbu and Root members, all elites among the Ninja, and even the current Kakashi and Obito might not be able to defeat some of the stronger Ninja among them.

Although it was unexpected, it was good news for Muzuki.

From the system rewards, more and better Ninja were more likely to trigger good rewards, and from a realistic perspective, this proved Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura’s Pay attention to of him.

At the Training Ground, Muzuki casually chose a relatively secluded one with a forest, a river, and a mountain nearby.

Muzuki arrived at the Training Ground a bit early, and the thirty Ninja undergoing training also arrived before the start, with no one being late.

Root Ninja and Anbu Ninja stood in two columns, automatically positioning themselves in front of Muzuki.

“I am Hayate Mugetsu, and I am in charge of this training,” Muzuki began with a concise self-introduction.

Currently, Muzuki was somewhat well-known in Konoha, but to prevent unnecessary awkward situations, Muzuki still introduced himself.

As he spoke, Muzuki continuously scanned the Ninja in front of him.

Perhaps because the training wasn’t a mission, they weren’t wearing masks, but wearing masks wouldn’t prevent Muzuki from using Appraisal Technique anyway.

    “Name: Feitian Xinzhi”

    “Chakra: 8700”

“Skills: Lightning Release Chakra Nature Transformation (Proficient: 100/15000), Earth Release Chakra Nature Transformation (Skilled: 2600/3000), Lightning Release: Four-Pillar Binding…”

    “Name: Sarutobi Shinji”

    “Chakra: 10050”

“Skills: Fire Release Chakra Nature Transformation (Proficient: 300/15000), Water Release Chakra Nature Transformation (Skilled: 1500/3000), Fire Release: Great Flame Technique…”

Among the fifteen Anbu members, the stronger ones already had Proficient-level Nature Transformation, and their proficiency in corresponding Ninjutsu was also high.

Next, Muzuki reviewed the panels of all Root members.

    “Name: Yamanaka Hiroshi”

    “Chakra: 7200”

“Skills: Mind Transfer Jutsu (Skilled: 2800/3000)…”

    “Name: Mitani Kohei”

    “Chakra: 9800”

After reviewing all the Ninja’s panels, Muzuki found that the Anbu Ninja were generally stronger than the Root Ninja.

While Muzuki was using Appraisal to look at the training Ninja, they were also secretly sizing up Muzuki.

Some genuine new recruits were fine, but those Anbu members who had been in Anbu for one or two years felt somewhat bewildered; Feitian Xinzhi was one of them.

He had heard some of Muzuki’s reputation, knowing that he was a powerful Jonin who had once assisted Jiraiya on the battlefield to repel a Jinchuriki, but Feitian Xinzhi didn’t think Muzuki could help him improve his strength in such a short time.

Looking at Muzuki’s appearance, he seemed to be around the same age as him, about nineteen years old.

Feitian Xinzhi found it hard to imagine how a peer could help him improve his strength within two and a half months.

Most of the Jonin among the thirty trainees shared Feitian Xinzhi’s thoughts, and some even thought this training was just a formality to polish Muzuki’s resume for promotion.

However, they were ultimately Anbu and Root Ninja, so even if they disagreed internally, they wouldn’t show it or discuss it openly.

The Ninja World speaks through strength, and Muzuki possessed strength and was highly valued by the Hokage, so of course, they wouldn’t invite trouble.

“To facilitate the upcoming training, I need to understand your strengths. All of you can attack me now, using your most proficient Ninjutsu,” Muzuki said with a faint smile.

He had probably guessed the thoughts of some of the Ninja, so he decided to establish his authority first.

Even in the Ninja World, seniority exists, and Muzuki’s youth was a point that could easily lead to him being underestimated.

Of course, another reason was that Muzuki didn’t have too many outstanding achievements; the most widely spread was repelling a Jinchuriki with Jiraiya, but that was ultimately in a supporting role, and the effect was a bit lacking.

If Muzuki were to spread the story of him defeating the new AB duo alone, no one would underestimate him. In the Ninja World, if one’s strength is sufficient, seniority can be ignored. If one had the strength of Senju Hashirama, they might even be pushed into the Hokage position even if they didn’t want it.

“All of us together?” Feitian Xinzhi couldn’t help but ask. He felt that either he had misheard or Muzuki had lost his mind.

What did it mean for all thirty of them to attack together?

Feitian Xinzhi didn’t know the situation on the Root side, but among their fifteen Anbu members, there were three Jonin, two Special Jonin, and the rest were elites among the Chunin. Such a team was enough to undertake extremely important S-rank Missions.

Yamanaka Hiroshi looked at Muzuki with shock. On their Root side, there were two Jonin and two Special Jonin, with the rest being Chunin elites.

“There are at least eight Ninja above Chunin on the field, and the rest aren’t ordinary Chunin. Where does he get his confidence?” Yamanaka Hiroshi was extremely perplexed.

He didn’t know the situation on the Anbu side, but normally, Anbu would only be stronger than Root. Thirty of them moving together would be stronger than many Ninja Organizations in the Ninja World.

“Testing one by one is too troublesome, so you all come at once,” Muzuki replied with a gentle smile.

At this moment, Muzuki had already activated his Byakugan, and he noticed Ninja silently observing from the shadows.

This was within Muzuki’s expectations; one of the reasons he wanted to fight thirty was for this. He wanted to refresh Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura’s understanding of his strength and methods, making his genius persona even more complete.

Listening to Muzuki’s reply, the thirty Ninja on the field looked at each other, surprised that the first day was so explosive.

“Just use your full strength. Those who perform exceptionally will be reported to Lord Sandaime and Assistant Danzo,” Muzuki continued when no one made a move.

Yamanaka Hiroshi exchanged glances with a few of his teammates from Root and then nodded.

    Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!!!

Three Root Ninja quickly flashed to three different positions and threw several Shuriken at Muzuki.

They weren’t naive enough to think they could defeat Muzuki with ordinary Shuriken; the Shuriken were merely to restrict his movement, and the real killing moves were Ninjutsu.

“Mind Transfer Clone Jutsu!” Yamanaka Hiroshi immediately used his family’s secret technique.

Although his teammates helped restrict Muzuki’s position, to be safe, Yamanaka Hiroshi still used the more flexible Mind Transfer Clone Jutsu, which could turn, instead of the Mind Transfer Jutsu, which could only move in a straight line.

Under the cover of a large number of Shuriken, Yamanaka Hiroshi’s spirit quickly shot towards Muzuki.

    Whoosh!

“That’s not a bad idea, but trying to hold me back with just Shuriken is a bit naive.”

Muzuki still had a gentle smile on his face, and then, to Yamanaka Hiroshi’s surprise, he directly disappeared from his original spot.

Yamanaka Hiroshi’s eyeballs rotated rapidly as he frantically searched for Muzuki’s location.

“So fast! I can’t see him at all,” Yamanaka Hiroshi realized he had lost sight of Muzuki.

    “Oh no!”

Then Yamanaka Hiroshi immediately thought of something, his expression turned grim, and he immediately tried to retract the spirit he had shot out, but it was too late.

    Bang!

Muzuki, who had flashed behind Yamanaka Hiroshi, directly kicked him, sending Yamanaka Hiroshi flying backward.

    Boom!!

Because the opponent was a Jonin, Muzuki used a bit of force. Yamanaka Hiroshi crashed through six large trees before finally stopping.

    Silence

At this moment, the Training Ground was completely silent. No one spoke, and everyone looked at Muzuki with solemn expressions.

Defeating Yamanaka Hiroshi wasn’t really anything special, after all, Yamanaka Hiroshi wasn’t some famous powerful Jonin. What surprised them was the way and speed with which Muzuki defeated Yamanaka Hiroshi.

Actually, some Root Ninja and Anbu Ninja had wanted to make a move after Yamanaka Hiroshi used his secret technique, but none of them could react to Muzuki’s speed. By the time they came to their senses, Yamanaka Hiroshi had already been sent flying.

“Not only does he have extraordinary talent in Ninjutsu, but his Taijutsu is also not bad,” Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was observing from the Hokage Office with a crystal ball, nodded.

Muzuki’s Body Flicker Technique just now was indeed dazzling; it was normal for the Anbu Ninja not to react in time, not because they were weak, but because Muzuki was too fast.

“But how will you deal with what comes next?” Hiruzen Sarutobi put his pipe in his mouth and puffed out smoke, a little curious about the upcoming battle.

Since there was no order from the higher-ups, the Anbu and Root would certainly not all attack at once initially.

But now it was different; Muzuki’s overwhelming defeat of Yamanaka Hiroshi had made the Ninja on the field aware of his terrifying strength. They would definitely go all out next, especially since this was Muzuki’s own request.

Muzuki’s strength was indeed very strong, but these thirty Ninja on the field were not ordinary Ninja. One versus thirty was completely different from a one-on-one fight.

    “Fire Release: Great Flame Technique!”

    “Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!”

“Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique!”

    “Secret Technique: Insect Sphere!”

The remaining twenty-nine Ninja all used their respective signature Ninjutsu to launch an attack on Muzuki, some even combining Ninjutsu with their teammates.

In a short time, an overwhelming barrage of various attacks rushed towards Muzuki.

These Ninja truly lived up to their status as Anbu and Root members. Although they hadn’t fought together before, their coordination was not chaotic; there was no issue of their own Fire Release and Water Release canceling each other out.

Muzuki calmly created two Shadow Clone and then began to form hand seals.

Feitian Xinzhi, who had been staring at Muzuki, intending to use Lightning Release to interfere with Muzuki’s evasion, was somewhat puzzled.

“Does he intend to block so many Ninjutsu alone?” A bold and terrifying thought arose in Feitian Xinzhi’s mind.

Feitian Xinzhi could only describe it as terrifying. This was Ninjutsu unleashed by numerous Anbu and Root Ninja together, including many Jonin.

If Muzuki could truly clash head-on with so many of them using Ninjutsu, it could only mean that Muzuki’s strength had a qualitative difference compared to ordinary Jonin.

There were also differences among Jonin; no ordinary Jonin thought they could compare to Orochimaru, Jiraiya, or Tsunade.

“Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!”

Muzuki’s main body was the first to complete the hand seals. A large amount of Chakra instantly transformed into Fire Release, and upon being exhaled, it immediately formed a large expanse of high-temperature flames.

The flames, like a rampaging dragon, instantly incinerated everything flammable in their vicinity upon appearing, causing the surrounding temperature to rise.

Ninja who were a little too close immediately couldn’t help but retreat a few steps. The Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet Obito used during the Chunin Exams was completely insignificant compared to Muzuki’s, whether in terms of fire intensity, range, or temperature, Muzuki’s was far superior.

Even though Hiruzen Sarutobi wasn’t on site, through the Telescope Technique, he could perceive the power of Muzuki’s Fire Release.

“Fire Release must be his most proficient elemental Ninjutsu,” Hiruzen Sarutobi thought.

Even if Hiruzen Sarutobi himself used the Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet at the same age, he couldn’t guarantee he would do better than Muzuki.

    “Wind Release: Cyclone!”

Immediately after, Muzuki’s Shadow Clone also completed its Wind Release.

An incredibly fierce hurricane was exhaled from the Shadow Clone’s mouth, instantly causing strong winds to rage across the field, sending dirt, stones, and leaves flying.

The already fierce Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet, with the terrifying boost from the wind, immediately expanded rapidly. Large areas of grass and tall trees were engulfed by the flames, as if the entire Training Ground was about to be turned into a purgatory.

“He can actually use a Combination Ninjutsu of this scale!” Sarutobi Shinji’s eyes widened in disbelief.

He had only seen such a terrifyingly powerful Combination Ninjutsu used by one person: the former Hiruzen Sarutobi.

    Rumble!!!

A huge explosion sounded, and the ground, unable to withstand such a powerful energy impact, seemed to crack open. For a moment, various colors of smoke filled the Training Ground, including burning black smoke and yellow dust from the explosion.

The Ninja on the field all retreated backward to avoid being affected by the powerful collision.

The parasitic insects rushing towards Muzuki were the first to turn into black ash, and the Earth Release attacks were also burned to dust under Muzuki’s terrifying high-temperature flames. Fire Release of the same nature was even crushed by the terrifying fire. For a moment, the Combination Ninjutsu used by Muzuki alone actually overwhelmed the Ninjutsu jointly used by the Anbu and Root Ninja, forcing them to retreat and dodge.

As the smoke gradually dispersed, it revealed an incredibly ravaged Training Ground. Large craters and scorched earth spoke volumes about the terrifying power of the Ninjutsu just used.

“He just created two Shadow Clone, it seems,” Sarutobi Shinji suddenly noticed something.

Muzuki had created two Shadow Clone, but only one Shadow Clone was using Wind Release Ninjutsu to cooperate with his main body to block the incoming attacks.

I was a bit busy today, so it’s a little late.
