    “Shadow Imitation Technique!”

Nara Shiosui swiftly formed hand signs, and the shadow beneath his feet rapidly shot towards Kurosawa, who was closest to him, merging with Kurosawa’s shadow.

The moment their shadows overlapped, Kurosawa felt an abnormality in his body; he had lost control of his movements.

    Whoosh!

Nara Shiosui controlled Kurosawa’s body to throw a short blade towards Zabuza.

Zabuza, who already didn’t trust his teammates, immediately detected Kurosawa’s attack and swung his long sword to deflect the short blade.

    “Insect Wind!”

Aburame Nao used his Chakra to manipulate insects, forming an insect tornado that rushed towards Kurosawa.

Controlling an enemy with Shadow Imitation Technique is quite stiff, and continuously using it for offense isn’t a good choice. The best option is to control someone and then focus fire to instantly eliminate them.

    “Fang Over Fang!”

Inuzuka Midori unleashed her Chakra, spinning at high speed as she charged towards Kurosawa.

“Damn it.” Kurosawa’s face changed drastically as he watched the incoming black insect tornado and the human-spinning whirlwind. He hadn’t expected this timid Konoha squad to be not only strong but also decisive in their actions.

    “Water Prison Technique!”

At this critical moment, Kisame made his move. Thick water currents swirled around Kurosawa, forming a spherical water prison with no blind spots, blocking the first wave of attacks for Kurosawa.

Nara Shiosui’s expression remained unchanged. He controlled Kurosawa to walk forward, intending to use the water from the Water Prison to suffocate Kurosawa.

Although he felt nothing for his teammate, Zabuza didn’t want to fight three-on-one. Seizing the opening while Inuzuka Midori and Aburame Nao attacked Kurosawa, he used Body Flicker Technique to slash at Nara Shiosui.

Nara Shiosui had no choice but to give up control of Kurosawa. He quickly pulled out a Kunai to block Zabuza’s slash.

    Clang!

Zabuza’s long sword struck Nara Shiosui’s Kunai, producing a crisp sound of clashing blades.

    Swish, swish!

Zabuza, like an emotionless killing machine, wielded his long sword without any hesitation. Each swing aimed at Nara Shiosui’s vital points, quickly forcing Nara Shiosui into a full retreat.

Nara Shiosui glanced at his two teammates out of the corner of his eye. Without pre-arranged traps, his solo combat ability was average, and he needed his teammates to break the stalemate.

However, his teammates weren’t faring well either. Inuzuka Midori and her Ninja dog could only barely hold off Kisame, and Aburame Nao found it difficult to withstand the enraged Kurosawa.

Although there didn’t seem to be a significant disadvantage at the moment, Nara Shiosui knew that if things continued like this, their defeat was only a matter of time, because each of them was weaker than their respective opponent.

“As a Ninja, I was too reckless. I should have stayed away from such abnormal phenomena.” Nara Shiosui sighed inwardly. If they had simply taken a detour when they saw the black smoke, none of this would have happened.

    Bang!

A dull thud echoed. Inuzuka Midori was sent flying backward, crashing heavily into a tree and breaking it.

Bai Maru, seeing this, abandoned his attack and quickly ran in front of Inuzuka Midori, shielding her.

“Is this guy, with his shark face, perhaps practicing some advanced Medical Ninjutsu to become like this? How can he be so strong?” Inuzuka Midori felt a bit of existential doubt.

Although she was a girl, due to her Medical Ninjutsu training and lifelong practice, she had always been the strongest among her peers. But in taijutsu combat with Kisame, her strength was completely overwhelmed.

This made Inuzuka Midori suspect that Kisame might be practicing shark-related Medical Ninjutsu and had reached an extremely high level, to the point where he barely looked human anymore.

Nara Shiosui and Aburame Nao were both busy with defense. Although they knew Inuzuka Midori was in critical condition, they couldn’t spare the effort to help her.

Kisame ignored Inuzuka Midori’s words and continued walking towards the fallen Inuzuka Midori. He was long accustomed to others’ strange looks; after all, he did look a little different from ordinary people.

Facing the approaching Kisame, Bai Maru tucked his tail between his legs and glared at Kisame, continuously letting out threatening growls, as if saying, ‘Come any closer, and I’ll bite you.’

When Kisame got within three meters of Inuzuka Midori, Bai Maru couldn’t hold back anymore and lunged at Kisame, biting.

    Bang!

Kisame’s powerful fist struck Bai Maru’s body. Bai Maru was sent flying like a cannonball, slamming heavily onto the ground. His pure white fur was stained gray by the dust, and the fur on the part struck by Kisame turned blood-red.

“Bai Maru!” Inuzuka Midori wanted to continue fighting with Bai Maru, but she had suffered multiple fractures in her fight with Kisame and could barely stand.

This scene of deep bond between person and pet did not move Kisame. He drew the long sword from his back and thrust it towards Inuzuka Midori’s heart.

    “Secret Technique: Insect Cocoon!”

In such a critical situation, Aburame Nao disregarded the damage to his body, using all his Chakra to accelerate the insects’ hatching, creating a large number of Parasitic Insects to simultaneously restrain both Zabuza and Kurosawa.

    “Shadow Imitation Technique!”

Nara Shiosui immediately used his Shadow Secret Technique to control the shadow beneath him, sending it charging towards Kisame.

Because Kurosawa had been caught once, Kisame had been wary of Nara Shiosui’s Shadow Secret Technique. When the shadow approached, he immediately retreated.

Kisame moved from tree to tree, and then he realized that once he was a certain distance from Nara Shiosui, the shadow couldn’t keep up.

Nara Shiosui’s expression remained unchanged. He immediately controlled the shadow to turn around and charge towards Zabuza, who was currently fighting against a large number of Parasitic Insects.

Shadow Imitation Technique cannot increase one’s own shadow, so its extension distance is limited; it cannot connect if it is too far.

    “Water Release: Hidden Mist Technique!”

Zabuza endured the insect bites and exhaled a large amount of dense mist, causing Nara Shiosui to lose sight of him.

The Hidden Mist Ninja are all specially trained; the thick mist would not affect their combat, but it would be difficult for Nara Shiosui and Aburame Nao.

If there were enough insects, the dense fog wouldn’t be a big problem for Aburame Nao, but he no longer had the Chakra to accelerate the insects’ hatching.

When the dense mist dissipated, Nara Shiosui was extremely disheveled, with sword marks on his arms and thighs, his clothes soaked with blood, lying on the ground completely unable to fight. Aburame Nao was half-kneeling, drenched in sweat, his body having reached its limit.

Kisame raised his sword, ready to finish off the most dangerous Nara Shiosui, but a flaming Kunai flying towards him forced him to stop his attack and dodge.

“Hey, you guys are too cruel. They’ve already lost their ability to fight. Just take the scroll, that’s enough. Why do you have to kill them?” Obito couldn’t help but say, seeing the miserable state of the three people and one dog.

He felt it was completely unnecessary. This wasn’t a battlefield; it was just an exam.

“I think you completely don’t understand. You should know that an agreement was signed before this exam began. Killing is one of the rules of this exam. If you don’t kill the defeated enemies, are you going to wait for them to recover and cause trouble?” Kurosawa looked at Obito with a foolish expression and laughed loudly.

“A complete and utter hothouse flower,” Zabuza commented.

“That’s really infuriating! Acting all high and mighty. Do you think everyone in the entire Ninja World is like you?” Obito was starting to get angry.

Rin Nohara ignored Zabuza and the other two’s mockery. She used Mystical Palm Technique to heal Inuzuka Midori, who was closest to her.

“Are you alright? This is my first time treating someone so severely injured,” Rin Nohara asked with concern.

“Of course not. Midori has many broken bones,” Inuzuka Midori replied truthfully.

“But your healing is great. Midori feels like she’s recovering.”

Kisame saw Rin Nohara’s hand glowing green on Inuzuka Midori and said, “Hurry and deal with them all. This squad has someone who can use Medical Ninjutsu.”

“That shark-faced guy is very strong, you need to be careful!” Inuzuka Midori loudly revealed Kisame’s information.

    Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!!!

Kakashi secretly noted this information, then quickly pulled Shuriken from his Ninja tool pouch and shot them towards Zabuza and Kisame, who were near Nara Shiosui.

If it were a fight between Ninja from the same Village, it might be one thing, but seeing Ninja from other Ninja Villages brutalize Konoha comrades like this, Kakashi couldn’t just stand by.

    “Flame Breathing, Total Concentration Breathing!”

Kakashi’s Shuriken were Obito’s signal to charge. He immediately pushed his breathing to the extreme, strengthening his body, and then charged towards Kurosawa.

“Let me teach you what a true Ninja should be like,” Kurosawa said with a sinister grin, meeting him.

“Then you come and try!” As he approached Kurosawa, Obito immediately unleashed the Chakra he had condensed beforehand. His speed was so fast that Kurosawa only felt Obito vanish with a whoosh.

Kurosawa didn’t even look, immediately turned around and swung his arm, striking behind him.

But he didn’t know that Obito’s extreme breathing could greatly increase his strength. Obito firmly blocked Kurosawa’s arm with his right hand, then punched Kurosawa, sending him flying back several meters.

Immediately after, Obito quickly grabbed Aburame Nao, who was half-kneeling, and rapidly retreated.

His purpose in launching this attack was not to defeat Kurosawa, but to save someone.

“Thank you,” Aburame Nao said in a faint voice to Obito.

“No problem. Just focus on your healing and watch how I take down all these bastards,” Obito said, placing Aburame Nao next to Inuzuka Midori.

Seeing that Obito and his team seemed to want to save people, Kisame immediately released a Water Release attack towards Nara Shiosui, who was lying on the ground.

    “Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall!”

Kakashi quickly formed hand signs, condensed Chakra, and raised a thick earth wall in front of Nara Shiosui, perfectly neutralizing the incoming Water Release.

Immediately after, Kakashi fully unleashed Thunder Breathing, demonstrating incredible speed as he brought Nara Shiosui to Rin Nohara’s side.

Nara Shiosui was severely injured. He had originally wanted Kakashi and the others to retreat quickly, but he was already too injured to speak.

“Let’s heal Shiosui first. He looks so terrible,” Inuzuka Midori said, seeing Nara Shiosui’s miserable state up close.

Rin Nohara nodded with a serious expression and began to fully heal Nara Shiosui. This was also a challenge for her, as she had only treated minor injuries for Obito and the others since learning Medical Ninjutsu.

“Such hopelessly kind-hearted fools. Do you still think you can take on three of us with just two?” Zabuza looked at Kakashi and Obito with a mocking expression.

From their previous performance, Kakashi and Obito’s strength was indeed decent, but thinking they could win a two-on-three was wishful thinking.

“Calling those who do good deeds fools, I think you’re surrounded by selfish people who only care about themselves, including yourself, which is why you say that,” Kakashi calmly retorted.

“What do you know, you guy? The cruelty of the Hidden Mist is not something you hothouse flowers can understand,” Zabuza gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, killing intent appearing in his eyes.

“I don’t care what kind of mist you are. I won’t let you kill our Village’s Ninja. And conveniently, you also have the earth scroll, don’t you?” Obito was full of fighting spirit.
