Chapter Index

The next day, during the practical exam, Muzuki’s main body went to the Class 1, Grade 1 examination venue to check on the situation.

Although his main body hadn’t been at the Ninja Academy this semester, he had been promoted, gaining the position of Vice Class Leader of the Teachers’ Class.

Now, the only people with higher positions than him at the Ninja Academy were Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Hokage and Principal, and Shimono Hisanobu, the Class Leader of the Teachers’ Class and Head Instructor.

While his main body took students on missions, he didn’t completely abandon Class 1, Grade 1, leaving a Shadow Clone to be responsible for teaching them.

Although the Shadow Clone didn’t have the bonus for teaching skills, it did possess the knowledge from his mind. The effect would be slightly less than his main body but much better than other teachers. Considering that first-year students learn relatively simple things, it wouldn’t be much worse.

The Shadow Clone was indeed a very convenient Ninjutsu, but the fact that fatigue would also return was troublesome. So, Muzuki would regularly dispel it to avoid being overwhelmed all at once.

“Everyone looks very energetic. How did you all do on yesterday’s exam?” Muzuki greeted the students with a smile.

“Good morning, Teacher Muzuki! I think I did pretty well,” Anko was the first to greet him with a smile.

    Kotetsu Hagane replied, “Just so-so.”

“I feel like I did a bit poorly,” was Izumo Kamizuki’s answer.

“About the same, just like that,” Shisui replied calmly. Compared to Muzuki’s tests, the Ninja Academy’s questions were too easy.

Looking at this scene, which was similar to before, Muzuki showed a slight smile. In two months, he had become much stronger, but these students hadn’t changed much.

The proctoring teachers who had just arrived also smiled and greeted Muzuki.

Muzuki watched the first round of battles for Class 1, Grade 1, then left. The rate of progress had indeed decreased somewhat compared to last semester, but it was still at a considerable level.

He didn’t go to Obito’s class to watch Obito and Might Guy’s battle. He only left a Shadow Clone to check on the situation, while his main body returned home to the Leaf Village Main District to begin practicing Sealing Technique, as the battle between Might Guy and Obito could be watched tomorrow.

After returning home, Muzuki began learning the Four Symbols Sealing.

Although his self-study speed wasn’t as fast as learning with Kushina, it was still within an acceptable range because Kushina’s annotations were also included in the Sealing Technique scrolls she gave him.

While having a good teacher was great, Kushina’s identity prevented him from visiting too often, even if he genuinely only wanted to learn Sealing Technique.

Although Kushina and Minato weren’t married yet, they were already in a relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend. If he visited too frequently, he might be misunderstood.

Muzuki believed Minato would trust him, but he couldn’t guarantee that Danzo wouldn’t cause trouble. What if Danzo saw how close they were and, on a whim, tried to make him poach Minato’s girlfriend to win over the Jinchuriki? That would be very awkward.

Even if he ignored Danzo, it wouldn’t be a big deal, as he was now considered one of the Third Hokage’s people. But Muzuki preferred stability and didn’t want such a thing to happen.

Muzuki taught his disciples during the day, and in the evenings, he usually studied Sealing Technique and developed Breathing Technique. Currently, his Four Symbols Sealing had reached the entry-level proficiency of 150 points.

Knowing that Minato could stack two Four Symbols Sealing to create the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style, Muzuki tried to develop it into the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style, but the difficulty exceeded his imagination.

Sealing Technique was not like bread, where you could easily place one piece on top of another without affecting each other.

In fact, if two identical Sealing Technique were simultaneously applied to a person, the Sealing Technique would not become stronger; instead, the second one would overwrite the first.

If they were different Sealing Technique with similar effects, they also couldn’t enhance the sealing effect and might even interfere with each other, leading to a worse outcome.

“Minato must have made significant improvements to the Four Symbols Sealing; otherwise, it would be impossible to achieve the effect of the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style,” Muzuki speculated after trying it out.

It was that improvement that gave the second layer of Four Symbols Sealing the ability to convert Chakra.

Muzuki was somewhat interested in developing the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style. The ability to convert Chakra leaking from a Tailed Beast into one’s own Chakra was too powerful.

He didn’t have a Tailed Beast on him now, but who knew what the future held? If he had the chance, he wouldn’t mind putting a portable charger into his own body.

The system helped him increase his Chakra by nearly 40,000 in ten months, but Muzuki felt that this was still too little and definitely couldn’t compare to those true Chakra monsters.

For example, the Nine-Tailed. The Nine-Tailed’s Chakra was so exaggerated that Muzuki couldn’t even imagine how many digits it had. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Naruto distributed the Nine-Tailed’s Chakra to all the Allied Shinobi Forces, and all the Allied Shinobi Forces were instantly empowered. Originally, Hinata struggled to defeat a Ten-Tails clone, but after receiving the Nine-Tailed’s Chakra, her Eight Trigrams Empty Palm could hit the Ten-Tails’ main body.

This clearly meant they directly gained Chakra multiple times their own amount to suddenly become so much stronger, and Naruto didn’t empower just one or two people, but all the Allied Shinobi Forces present. This was terrifying, considering the Allied Shinobi Forces were in units of tens of thousands.

Even if he only gave 10 Chakra to 10,000 people, that would still require 100,000 Chakra. So, even if the Nine-Tailed was appraised to have tens of millions or hundreds of millions of Chakra, Muzuki wouldn’t be too surprised.

The Nine-Tailed was fine; after all, it was created by splitting the Ten-Tails, so having a lot of Chakra was normal.

What Muzuki couldn’t understand the most was Hashirama. Naruto and the complete Nine-Tailed combined had roughly the same amount of Chakra as Hashirama. How much Chakra must that be?

Thinking this way, Muzuki felt his 40,000-plus Chakra was pitifully small. He couldn’t even give five Chakra to 10,000 people.

“I still need to keep working hard,” Muzuki thought to himself.

His several disciples had a strong chance of developing up to 100,000 Chakra. The four-fold effect of Trust Level 4 meant 400,000 Chakra for one person, which couldn’t compare to those Tailed Beast and cheats, but it was still much stronger than ordinary people.

After studying Sealing Technique until evening, Muzuki made dinner and then studied Sealing Technique for a while longer. After 8 PM, it was time for Water Breathing development.

He had a strong talent for Sealing Technique, and he also needed to develop a Sealing Technique that could enhance his stamina, so Muzuki would dedicate more time to Sealing Technique.

On the morning of the third day of the exam, the Grade Level Practical Exam began, and Muzuki went to the Fourth Grade examination venue to observe the battles.

Obito’s two-tomoe Sharingan at nine years old was still too dazzling, so Muzuki, just like with Shisui, forbade Obito from using his Sharingan casually, only allowing him to use it during training or missions.

To balance their combat power and to make his disciples more low-key, while forbidding Obito’s Sharingan, Muzuki also forbade Might Guy from using the Second Gate of the Eight Gates during the Ninja Academy’s practical exams.

Muzuki honestly said that activating the Second Gate of the Eight Gates combined with Rock Breathing and Total Concentration Breathing could scare the Chunin proctoring teachers quite a bit. It wouldn’t be a problem for Might Guy’s Noon Leopard to kick a Chunin teacher to death.

Showing such strength in the Chunin Exams was fine, but displaying it in a Ninja Academy exam was excessive.

“The sixteen people participating in the Grade Level Practical Exam are all students who have become Intern Ninja.”

“Yes, the selection criteria seem to be mainly based on strength.”

The first battle hadn’t even started, but the students had already begun discussing the various contestants.

“The first exam is about to begin. Student No. 1, Shiranui Genma, and Student No. 2, Ebisu, please prepare,” the proctoring teacher began to read the student list.

“Even though we’re friends, I won’t go easy on you,” Shiranui Genma said with a smile, patting Ebisu.

“Same goes for you,” Ebisu said unceremoniously, walking with Shiranui Genma towards the examination ground.

“It’s the developer of that Enemy Confusion Technique,” someone among the students said.

Ebisu’s face instantly darkened, and he looked back but couldn’t find who said it.

After the battle began, both sides used all their techniques to attack each other.

Although they had a good relationship, they wouldn’t hold back in battle.

However, compared to Shiranui Genma, Ebisu’s strength was still a bit lacking, and he ultimately lost to Shiranui Genma.

“Shiranui Genma wins!” the proctoring teacher announced.

“I feel their strength has indeed increased. It seems like internships are really useful,” someone familiar with them said after seeing their performance.

Actually, to Muzuki, this was a very normal thing, because although the other teachers were far from Muzuki, they were also carefully selected excellent teachers, much stronger than ordinary Chunin teachers.

Moreover, when taught as Ninja rather than students, there were more things that could be taught. Coupled with more ample training time, it was normal to become stronger faster than by attending regular classes at the Ninja Academy.

“The second exam, No. 3, Uchiha Obito, versus No. 4, Hyuga Homura,” the proctoring teacher quickly announced the next battle.

“I wish Might Guy and Obito had met earlier. I came to watch the Grade Level Practical Exam just to see their battle,” someone sighed.

No one around refuted it. Hyuga Homura had indeed been prominent for a considerable period, but no one now believed he was a match for Obito or Might Guy. Meeting either of these two meant elimination.

Hyuga Homura’s mood wasn’t very good when he heard those discussions. Although he knew he would most likely lose, saying it directly was very hurtful.

“Battle start!” Seeing the examinees form the Seal of Confrontation, the proctoring teacher shouted.

Hyuga Homura immediately activated his Byakugan, veins bulging around his eyes, preparing for battle. He really wanted to defeat Uchiha Obito and prove those people wrong.

“Flame Breathing, Total Concentration Breathing!” Obito concentrated his breathing, inhaling a large amount of oxygen to strengthen himself.

His opponent was a Ninja Academy student. Although he was once the top of his grade, Obito had defeated a Jonin with his teammates, so Obito didn’t pay too much attention to Hyuga Homura and prepared to end the battle in one go.

    “Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!”

Obito spat out a three-meter-high fiery fireball towards Hyuga Homura.

Hyuga Homura naturally couldn’t withstand this level of Fire Release and burst Chakra, trying to dodge.

Obito directly dashed towards where Hyuga Homura was dodging.

Hyuga Homura’s Byakugan could clearly see Obito rushing towards him.

    Whoosh!

Obito used Shave to accelerate and appeared beside Hyuga Homura, then poured strength into his right arm, and with his Breathing Technique driving Chakra, threw a heavy punch.

Hyuga Homura could clearly see the fist continuously approaching him. He tried hard to dodge, but his body’s speed couldn’t keep up with his perception, nor could it keep up with Obito’s punching speed.

    Bang!

Hyuga Homura was directly sent flying by a single punch. Immediately after, Obito swiftly threw a Kunai that landed near where Hyuga Homura fell, clearly indicating his intent.

“Uchiha Obito wins!” the proctoring teacher straightforwardly announced Obito’s victory.

If this were a real battle, Hyuga Homura would have been killed by Obito.

“I feel like Obito has improved so much again. He just used taijutsu to instantly defeat Hyuga Homura.” Shiranui Genma felt a headache when he saw Obito easily defeat Hyuga Homura, as according to the rules, his next opponent would be Obito.

He didn’t even have the confidence to beat Hyuga Homura, let alone Obito, who could instantly defeat Hyuga Homura.

The other students were also a little surprised that Hyuga Homura was instantly defeated by Obito using taijutsu. They thought Hyuga Homura would lose quickly, but they didn’t expect Obito to eliminate Hyuga Homura with just a kick without even using much Ninjutsu.

“With such taijutsu, I feel like Obito has a greater chance of winning this time,” a spectator student exclaimed.

Might Guy only used taijutsu, while Obito’s taijutsu was now stronger and he also mastered excellent Fire Release, so he believed Obito’s win rate would be higher.

Only sixteen students participated in the Grade Level Practical Exam, and the pace was much faster than the class practical exam. Muzuki quickly saw the battle between Obito and Might Guy.

Due to their assigned numbers, this time they didn’t meet in the finals but rather in the round of four to two.

The entrance of the two heavyweight examinees made the surrounding students and teachers show serious expressions.
