Chapter Index

    “Finally…”

“It’s finally done!” Obito couldn’t help but cheer after finishing the last problem.

After more than ten days of hard work, he finally completed the installment problems. From today onwards, he wouldn’t have to do problems every day anymore.

“What’s done? Uchiha Obito, what are you yelling about? Get up and answer the question!” Ikeya Yu, startled by Obito, said displeased.

But to his surprise, Obito answered correctly, so Ikeya Yu could only nod and let Obito sit down and listen attentively to the class.

“Rin, let’s go out tonight!” Obito said with a mischievous grin after sitting down.

“Tonight? Tomorrow is Saturday, how about we go out tomorrow?” Rin Nohara said.

“Huh? Is it the weekend again?” Obito’s eyes widened, asking in shock.

He had just finished the installment problems, how could it be the weekend for getting new problems again?

“Obito, you must be confused from studying so much lately. Today is already Friday,” Rin Nohara said playfully.

She had witnessed Obito’s recent efforts; he truly was different from before.

“Finally, it’s the weekend holiday. Class time feels so slow, but the weekend passes in a blink of an eye.”

“Exactly. Even those long term breaks don’t feel as long as five days of school.”

    Obito: …

Human joys and sorrows are not interconnected; he only found them noisy.

He felt like his Monday to Friday had been stolen. Every time he became aware, it was already Friday, almost time for school to end, followed by an extremely long weekend.

“Rin, let’s still go tonight. I need to train tomorrow during the day, and I might not have much energy at night,” Obito said weakly.

As the final exams approached, weekend training became even more difficult than before.

Previously, when he fought Might Guy, he could use the forest terrain to his advantage, but later they were assigned to a large flat area, where he truly had to rely solely on speed and movement techniques.

So, Obito decided to go out with Rin Nohara tonight. Friday’s training was still relatively relaxed.

“Oh, I see. Then let’s make it tonight. After school and dinner, I’ll come find you, and then we’ll go find Kakashi together,” Rin Nohara nodded and said.

Obito really wanted to ask why Kakashi had to be there, but he opened and closed his mouth, ultimately not asking.

“Maybe she thinks Kakashi doesn’t have anyone to play with, so she’s bringing him along,” Obito thought to himself.

After school, Obito went to the training ground as usual; he was still the last one to arrive.

As before, he first engaged in various physical exercises, such as push-ups, pull-ups, and squats.

After a certain period of exercise, it was time for combat.

“Today, I’m changing the combat rules,” Muzuki said, calling Might Guy and Obito together.

“For every hit on the opponent, the opponent gets two problems added, and you get one problem reduced. The combat time is seven minutes.”

“Two problems for one hit, and seven minutes.” Obito felt as if a sea of problems was surging towards him.

Before, one hit was only one problem, and they only fought for five minutes. This was a direct super doubling!

The only good thing was that hitting the opponent could reduce one problem. As long as he landed enough hits, he wouldn’t have to do any problems.

The problem was, he had always been at a disadvantage in previous battles!

He was glad he had the foresight to ask Rin Nohara to hang out tonight.

At this intensity, he would definitely be exhausted over the weekend and would need several days to recover.

“Sharingan, Sharingan,” Obito kept muttering, extremely eager to awaken the Uchiha’s Bloodline Limit.

“Muzuki-sensei, what about the fifty problems I start with at the beginning of the battle?” Might Guy looked at Muzuki with anticipation.

“Reduced to forty problems,” Muzuki replied.

To balance things, it couldn’t be directly removed for now, because Might Guy’s taijutsu was much stronger than Obito’s.

Although it wasn’t directly canceled, it was at least ten problems fewer, so Might Guy was still quite happy.

“Moreover, you can offset problems through exercise. You can offset up to sixty percent of the problems. Three hundred push-ups can offset one problem, and other exercises can too,” Muzuki added.

One hit turning into two problems would cause the number of problems to inflate rapidly. Muzuki decided to use exercise to offset problems and curb this inflation.

After all, the original intention of the problems was to improve their learning and master more knowledge, not purely as a punishment mechanism.

He had to explain all those problems; it wasn’t just about completing them.

“Offset sixty percent.” Obito’s eyes lit up when he heard this, but then he felt immense pressure when he heard that three hundred push-ups only accounted for one problem.

“Three hundred for one problem? Hahaha!” Might Guy burst into laughter. He would definitely max out the sixty percent.

Looking at the wildly laughing Might Guy, and thinking about the sea of problems that would soon face him, Obito was inspired and calmly said:

“Muzuki-sensei, this isn’t right. Offsetting problems with exercise should be to encourage us to get better training, right? It should be based on individual training progress, not a fixed number.”

He didn’t want to be the only one doing a pile of problems.

“Obito, what you said makes a lot of sense. Then Guy, you’ll offset one problem with a thousand,” Muzuki thought about it and decided it was acceptable.

Might Guy looked at Obito with a questioning expression, his smile frozen.

“Guy, I know you want to get better training, right? You don’t have to thank me,” Obito said with a smile, giving Might Guy a thumbs-up.

“Hmm, Obito, you must also crave an all-out battle, right?” Might Guy began stretching his legs, preparing to fight with one hundred and twenty percent seriousness.

Seven minutes later, the battle ended.

“Obito, one hundred problems. Guy, twenty problems,” Muzuki announced the battle results.

“Obito, I know you want more problems to study, right? You don’t have to thank me,” Might Guy said, flashing his sparkling white teeth and giving a thumbs-up.

Obito suddenly wanted to slap himself from seven minutes ago. What were you thinking? Now, both are suffering.

There were simply too many problems; he definitely couldn’t finish them in one day. He could only offset some through training and take the rest on installment.

Since Rin Nohara said she wanted to go find Kakashi to play, Obito simply asked Might Guy if he wanted to come along.

Anyway, it was no longer a date for just him and Rin Nohara, and Might Guy and Kakashi also had a good relationship.

To Obito’s surprise, Might Guy refused, saying that he had arranged to go for a night run and exercise with Shisui today.

However, they did meet later that evening. While they were playing, they ran into Shisui and Might Guy, who were jogging.

“Shisui, trust me, next time try this type of bodysuit. It’s perfect for training,” Might Guy tried to sell his green bodysuit.

Shisui looked at Might Guy posing and imagined himself wearing that green bodysuit, then quickly shook his head and refused. It was too strange.

“Who is that next to Guy?” Kakashi asked, looking at the unfamiliar figure beside Might Guy.

“Our Uchiha genius, someone even more talented than you,” Obito said deliberately.

“Heh, then what are you, the Uchiha dead last?” Kakashi said blandly.
