Chapter 27 What to do if the teacher is too cunning (Please read it later)
by SunflowerAfter finishing his tutoring duties, Muzuki did not return to the South Border Forest but instead went to his house in the Main urban area.
After Muzuki quickly stir-fried two dishes for dinner, he went out for a walk, as friendship wouldn’t come to him if he stayed home.
Muzuki walked for a while and eventually encountered Minato and Kushina in a nearby park.
The two were sitting on a park bench, chatting and enjoying the evening breeze.
“Habsheng,” Minato greeted Muzuki upon seeing him.
“Are you also here for a walk in the park?” Minato asked.
Muzuki nodded, sat on a nearby chair, and said, “I just finished dinner, so I’m walking to help with digestion.”
“Habsheng, Minato told me you’re a teacher at the Ninja Academy?” Kushina asked curiously.
Among her circle of friends, no one had ever been a Ninja Academy teacher.
“Yes, I just started this year,” Muzuki replied with a smile.
“You just started this year, so you must have led a very impressive class, Habsheng,” Minato said with some surprise.
Kushina looked at Minato with some confusion.
“Yesterday in the office, the Sandaime said that Habsheng’s teaching level is very high, and he even wanted to invite Muzuki to be a tutor for his family,” Minato explained.
“To receive such praise from the Sandaime after only starting this year, his teaching achievements must be outstanding.”
“Wow, the Sandaime praised him that much?” Kushina was also a bit surprised.
Although she generally felt indifferent towards Hiruzen Sarutobi, she still respected Hiruzen Sarutobi’s judgment.
“Not at all, it’s also because the students themselves are diligent enough,” Muzuki humbly replied, then added, “Namikaze Jonin is truly impressive; he became a Jonin at such a young age and is now an important force in the Village.”
“Hehe, that’s right, our Minato is the strongest,” Kushina said, fully agreeing.
“But I’m also a Jonin!” Kushina laughed heartily.
Muzuki showed a surprised expression, then praised, “Then Uzumaki Jonin is also very impressive.”
“Habsheng, you’re really good with words,” Kushina found Muzuki more and more pleasing to the eye. If her good sister Uchiha Mikoto hadn’t already married, she would have definitely introduced her to Muzuki.
Look, what a good man, as handsome as Minato, and capable enough to earn the Sandaime’s praise.
The three chatted for a while, and then Muzuki took his leave first.
It wasn’t good for him to stay too long when the two young lovers were out for a walk; he needed to be mindful of moderation and slowly establish his persona.
…
The next day, Muzuki still trained Obito and Might Guy until noon, then went to Hiruzen Sarutobi’s house in the afternoon to tutor Asuma, taking Asuma to yesterday’s riverside.
“I’m too tired today, I don’t want to train,” Asuma immediately gave up, leaning against a tree, looking ready to sleep.
He had secretly made up his mind that no matter how Muzuki provoked him, he would remain unmoved.
“Want to sleep?” Muzuki smiled, looking at Asuma.
His smile was gentle and healing, much better than his old man’s, but Asuma had a bad premonition.
“Yes, I didn’t sleep well last night, is that not allowed?” Asuma said stubbornly.
To Asuma’s surprise, Muzuki nodded in agreement, saying,
“Yes, the sun is just right today, and the breeze is gentle; it’s indeed a good day for sleeping.”
Then Muzuki stretched lazily, also leaning against the tree, and said in a relaxed manner,
“Being a tutor is really nice. You lie down and sleep, and when you wake up, you’ve earned one hundred thousand ryo.”
After speaking, Muzuki closed his eyes and rested his head against the tree, looking ready to sleep.
“Wait, what did you say, one hundred thousand ryo?” Asuma’s eyes instantly widened as he asked Muzuki.
“Why are you making so much noise? Are you sleeping or not?” Muzuki didn’t even open his eyes, looking as if he was about to fall asleep.
“Don’t sleep yet! Quickly, tell me about the one hundred thousand ryo!” Asuma shook Muzuki’s body.
“What else could it be? Of course, it’s the money for teaching you,” Muzuki opened his eyes and began to talk nonsense with a straight face.
“Do you think I work for free? Even the Hokage has to pay for a tutor. My fees are very high. For teaching you, it’s twenty-five thousand ryo an hour. Teaching for four hours a day, of course, is one hundred thousand ryo.”
“Is your mouth made of gold? Your fees are so expensive!” Asuma was shocked to learn that Muzuki could earn twenty-five thousand ryo for an hour of staying with him.
He knew that his monthly allowance when he was in school was only fifty thousand ryo, and his allowance was considered generous.
Yet Muzuki only needed to teach him for two hours to earn his one month’s allowance!
“You can go to the Ninja Academy and ask about the name Habsheng Mugetsu, and you’ll know if it’s worth the price,” Muzuki said calmly.
“But why haven’t I heard your name?” Asuma felt as if he was being tricked.
“Because I joined after you graduated,” Muzuki said, closing his eyes again, preparing to sleep.
Seeing Muzuki about to sleep again, Asuma instantly felt heartbroken; this was a tutor who cost twenty-five thousand ryo an hour.
“Don’t sleep, let’s start training!” Asuma quickly shouted, afraid that if Muzuki fell asleep, he wouldn’t be able to wake him.
“Didn’t you say you didn’t sleep well yesterday and were tired and wanted to sleep? Aren’t you tired now?” Muzuki opened his eyes and smiled at Asuma.
Seeing Muzuki’s expression, Asuma knew he had been tricked; this guy hadn’t slept at all!
But he had no choice; this was a tutor who cost twenty-five thousand ryo an hour. If he really let Muzuki sleep here, not only would Asuma not be able to sleep now, he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night either.
“I’m well-rested. Let’s start training,” Asuma said with a dark expression.
He planned to go back and complain to his mother, asking if hiring such an expensive tutor wasn’t a waste of money, especially since there were other Jonin teachers available.
“Alright then, today we’ll still be training Chakra control. Today’s goal is to stay on the water for fifteen minutes,” Muzuki said, standing up with a smile.
The training was the same as yesterday. Asuma struggled on the water, trying not to fall in, while Muzuki used Water Release from the shore to interfere.
Today, Asuma was as motivated as yesterday, but yesterday’s motivation was to prove his father wrong, and today’s motivation was Muzuki’s ridiculously high tutoring fee.
During dinner that evening, Asuma immediately complained to Biwako, saying that Hiruzen Sarutobi was wasting money by hiring a tutor who cost twenty-five thousand ryo an hour.
Biwako was also shocked by the exorbitant tutoring fee: one hundred thousand ryo for four hours.
One should know that the reward for some B-rank missions was also around one hundred thousand ryo; this was equivalent to a single person completing a B-rank mission in four hours.
“Hmm? Are you talking about Habsheng? How is that possible? His tutoring fee is two thousand ryo an hour,” Hiruzen Sarutobi was stunned for a moment, then said with a smile.
“Two thousand ryo?” Asuma looked at Hiruzen Sarutobi with suspicion.
“Of course, it’s two thousand ryo. Where did you hear twenty-five thousand ryo?” Hiruzen Sarutobi affirmed.
Looking at his father’s face, Asuma knew he had been tricked by Muzuki.
“Ah, ah. Damn you, Habsheng Mugetsu!” Asuma roared in his heart, then turned his grief and indignation into appetite, eating heartily, thinking that no matter what, he couldn’t fall for Muzuki’s trick next week.
I apologize everyone, this chapter was written in a bit of a hurry, so the quality might not be great. I will revise it when I have time later.
Something happened at home tonight; my grandmother passed away.
