Chapter Index

“Those who defeat a god cannot remain mortal.”

“Those blue eyes will one day take everything from you!”

    “Never!”

Facing the threats of Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki, Boruto suddenly took on a fighting stance, and then woke up.

    “It was a dream.”

Boruto let out a long sigh, lay back down, but couldn’t fall asleep again.

    “Damn Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki.”

Boruto cursed in his heart and looked at the window, which was covered by curtains.

The off-white linen blend curtains were somewhat thin and couldn’t perfectly block out the sun. A sudden breeze even blew up the corner of the curtain, allowing the sunlight to briefly sneak in.

Clearly, it was already broad daylight.

Presumably, because he didn’t sleep well last night, he couldn’t get up early today.

Boruto believed this wasn’t his fault; anyone who heard that a powerful enemy capable of replacing them lived inside their body wouldn’t be able to stay calm.

What’s more, he was only a twelve-year-old boy.

Boruto got up and dressed, only to find a breakfast and a note on the table.

“Free to act, just don’t leave Konoha.”

Although there was no name on the note, there was no doubt that this was the note left by Sasuke.

“Why does Sasuke-sensei always have something to do? He’s not playing without me, is he?”

Boruto casually grumbled, then began to eat the breakfast Sasuke had bought.

However, this time Boruto had wronged Sasuke. Today, he didn’t go to instruct Uchiha Itachi, but was in Konoha’s library, consulting ancient texts and trying to find information related to the Karma Seal.

After breakfast, Boruto left the hotel and began to wander aimlessly.

Originally, he planned to train hard to improve his strength, but now, the harder he trained, the faster Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki would replace him. Therefore, training could only be put on hold for the time being.

Since he couldn’t train, Boruto temporarily had nothing else he wanted to do.

He had already seen Hinata from a distance; she was indeed his mother, incredibly cute.

“So boring, what should I do?”

    Boruto fell into deep contemplation.

Today was only his fourth day since transmigrating to this world.

Logically, this amount of time wasn’t enough to explore all of Konoha. However, the Konoha in Boruto’s world was only more advanced than this Konoha, not completely different.

Many of the sights here, Boruto had already visited before.

“How about looking for a young Sasuke-sensei?”

Boruto suddenly remembered that he hadn’t seen a young Sasuke.

Sasuke and Naruto were the same age. If Naruto was three, then Sasuke must also be three.

“If Sasuke-sensei found out, he probably wouldn’t be happy.”

Boruto could already imagine Sasuke’s stern face silently looking at him.

In that case, then… “Just don’t let Sasuke-sensei find out!”

Boruto excitedly rushed towards Sarada’s house in his memory.

As long as Sasuke didn’t catch him, then he didn’t do it.

However, when Boruto arrived at the location in his memory, he found that it was completely different from how he remembered it.

“Did they rebuild it later because they didn’t find it comfortable to live in?”

Boruto muttered, feeling that he might have found the wrong place, but since he was already there, he simply knocked on the door.

    “Who are you?”

A middle-aged man Boruto didn’t recognize emerged from the door.

“Excuse me, is this Uchiha Sasuke’s house?”

    Boruto asked tentatively.

Before the middle-aged man could answer, Boruto had already gotten his answer from the foolish look in his eyes.

    “Thank you, goodbye!”

    Boruto quickly ran away.

Apparently, Sarada’s family had moved houses during Sasuke’s growth and was no longer in the original location.

“Should I just ask someone? But Sasuke-sensei is only three years old now; no one should know him.”

Boruto was momentarily in a predicament.

He felt that Sasuke’s father should also be an extraordinary Ninja and would have a considerable reputation in Konoha.

But the problem was that Boruto had no idea what Sasuke’s father’s name was.

He couldn’t just ask a passerby who Sasuke’s father was, that would just bring the problem back to square one: no one knew Sasuke yet.

“Should I try to find out his childhood address from Sasuke-sensei tonight? He’ll definitely see through my intentions.”

Boruto scratched his hair, feeling like he was in a dead end.

“Boruto, little brother, what’s wrong? You look so troubled.”

Obito, passing by, saw Boruto and greeted him.

Boruto looked up and saw it was Obito, instinctively stepping back half a pace.

Sasuke had specifically warned him to be careful of two people: one was Orochimaru, and the other was Uchiha Obito, who was standing in front of him now.

Boruto had asked Sasuke why, but Sasuke hadn’t explained, only saying that these two people were very dangerous.

“Is it because you can’t train, so you feel like you have nothing to do?”

Obito stroked his chin and speculated.

Boruto didn’t speak but nodded, acknowledging Obito’s words.

“I see. Then I’ll take you to an interesting place.”

Obito flashed, grabbed Boruto’s shoulder, and continuously activated the Flying Thunder God Technique. By the time Boruto reacted, he had already arrived at a flat Training Ground.

    “What are you doing?”

Boruto quickly retreated and looked at Obito with wary eyes.

He had to admit, although Obito seemed a bit silly, his strength was truly extraordinary, and he also mastered space-time Ninjutsu.

“You’ll know in a moment; they should be here soon.”

Obito took out a watch from the Kamui Dimension, glanced at it, and replied.

He, Anko, and the other two had agreed yesterday that he would guide them in their training today.

Originally, Obito had wanted to arrive a bit late and then disguise himself as an enemy to test the trio’s strength and coordination.

    Boruto’s appearance changed Obito’s mind.

Disguising as an enemy was too old-fashioned; current Ninja novels don’t even use that plot device.

Obito wanted a test that was novel, would interest Boruto, and ultimately had the characteristics of their Muzuki style.

Since Obito stopped moving, Boruto’s hanging heart relaxed a little.

This was Konoha after all, and he had his grandfather, Fifth Hokage Minato Namikaze, protecting him. Obito wouldn’t dare to do anything.

“This guy looks silly, so why did Sasuke-sensei say he’s dangerous?”

    Boruto was a little curious.

At this moment, several slightly familiar figures entered Boruto’s line of sight.

    “Captain Obito, good morning.”

Anko chuckled and greeted Obito, then immediately noticed Boruto beside Obito.

“Wow, he’s not really Teacher Muzuki’s illegitimate child, is he?”

    Anko exclaimed.

It was well known that Obito was one of Muzuki’s famous disciples, and in special circumstances, he could even represent Muzuki’s will.

And a child who looked very much like Muzuki was with Obito; wasn’t this solid proof?

“Teacher Muzuki had a child when he was fifteen or sixteen, right? Anko, don’t you know that a joke repeated too many times isn’t funny and is a bit annoying?”

    Kotetsu Hagane retorted.

“It’s not impossible. Teacher Muzuki is so good; there must be many people who like him.”

    Anko was unfazed.

    “Captain Obito, isn’t that right?”

    “No, don’t talk nonsense.”

Concerning Muzuki’s reputation, Obito was serious for once.

If rumors spread and caused Muzuki to be embroiled in endless scandals, his sin would be great.

“Teacher Anko of this world is pretty much done for.”

Watching Anko and Obito’s almost identical foolishness, Boruto silently mourned for Anko for a second.

“Captain Obito, how will we train today?”

    Izumo Kamizuki asked.

    “Normal training first.”

Obito didn’t answer Izumo Kamizuki’s question, but directly led the three through regular training, instructing them in Taijutsu and Ninjutsu.

Boruto originally wanted to take this opportunity to leave, but after listening for a while, he was surprised to find that Obito actually had a high level of skill that didn’t match his appearance. Even as an observer, he felt the teaching was very precise.

After some guidance, Obito began to assess the trio’s strength and teamwork, having them all attack him with full force.

Anko and the others were well aware of Obito’s formidable strength, so they didn’t hold back, using whatever means they had.

“I didn’t expect Teacher Anko to be so powerful when she was young. Her teammates are also not simple; their coordination is really good.”

Boruto’s attention was drawn to the battle.

This level of battle was more entertaining for Boruto than Sasuke’s fight with Ōtsutsuki Urashiki.

Because the higher-level battles, Boruto couldn’t understand, and many movements were difficult to see clearly.

“Their relationship must be very good, right? They joke around casually and have such good coordination.”

Watching Anko’s team fight Obito in unison, Boruto couldn’t help but think of Sarada and Mitsuki, a hint of unwillingness in his eyes.

If the Karma Seal problem wasn’t resolved, he wouldn’t be able to go on missions with Sarada and Mitsuki anymore.

This would be irresponsible to both sides.

At this moment, the battle was nearing its end. After defeating Anko, Obito praised her unreservedly:

“Very good, you’ve all made considerable progress, and your coordination is excellent.”

Anko and the other two all smiled happily, exaggerating each other’s highlights, presenting a harmonious and friendly scene.

“Everyone, quickly refine your Chakra. Our special training will begin soon.”

Obito subtly glanced at Boruto, then coughed twice and announced.

A moment later, Obito sat next to the dazed Boruto and explained the special training rules.

“There’s only one rule: you will now use the Ninjutsu you feel most proud of and most suitable for, and use it to make Boruto’s expression change.

I will score based on Boruto’s expression, the effect of the Ninjutsu itself, and other performances. The last-place person will have to answer a hundred questions.”

    “Huh?”

Boruto and Anko simultaneously let out confused sounds.

“Boruto, please be the test subject this one time. I owe you a favor.”

Obito patted Boruto’s shoulder and said.

Boruto was a bit flustered. What the hell was a test subject? At least call him an examiner.

He originally wanted to refuse this ridiculous proposal, but then he thought that Obito might know young Sasuke, so he closed his mouth.

Boruto was never one to follow orders blindly.

Although Sasuke said Obito was dangerous, from Boruto’s own interaction, Obito wasn’t dangerous at all.

So he decided to inquire about young Sasuke from Obito.

“This guy does have some skill. He looks like he’s joking, but this special training really tests information gathering ability and can also assess overall Ninjutsu level.”

    Boruto analyzed in his mind.

After Sasuke’s guidance, he had learned many things he hadn’t known before and had made considerable progress in all aspects.

“Is that all? Let me go first!”

Anko burst out laughing and stepped forward first.

Just a little kid, she thought, a simple large-scale Fire Release would surely shock him.

    “Flame Breathing, Total Concentration!”

    “Fire Release: Flame Vortex!”

Anko concentrated her breathing to the extreme, then gathered a large amount of Chakra in her throat, and finally expelled the compressed Chakra as flames in one breath, creating a rather dazzling, winding fire snake that encircled everyone.

Anko looked at Boruto with a triumphant gaze. She thought Boruto must be very surprised now, thinking she was very powerful.

    “Scared speechless?”

Anko looked at the expressionless Boruto, slowly forming a question mark.

    “Just an ordinary Fire Release.”

    Boruto grumbled.

He had seen many grand scenes, and had even personally experienced Naruto and Sasuke jointly killing Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki.

Anko’s Ninjutsu, in his opinion, was just so-so, nothing impressive.

“Haha, Izumo, it really depends on us.”

Kotetsu Hagane laughed up at the sky.

Izumo Kamizuki nodded in deep agreement.

“You guys? Isn’t it only for one person?”

    Anko noticed something was wrong.

“Who told you it was only for one person? The rules didn’t say that.”

    Kotetsu Hagane laughed wildly.

He and Izumo Kamizuki had just been studying the rules.

Anko looked at Obito with a questioning gaze, and finally received an affirmative answer.

“Anko, little one, this time you will surely return in defeat.”

Izumo Kamizuki said with a triumphant smile.

“Damn it, I request to join them. We’ll all be in the same rank and do the questions together.”

Anko requested to join the team.

    “You’ve already used your Ninjutsu.”

    Obito rejected Anko’s application.

Boruto watched this scene and silently retracted his previous evaluation of Anko’s team.

Though Anko was unwilling, she could only step aside, praying in her heart for Izumo Kamizuki and Kotetsu Hagane to make a mistake in their performance.

    “Enemy Confusion Technique!”

Izumo Kamizuki and Kotetsu Hagane exchanged glances, formed hand signs together, and transformed into scantily clad beautiful women.

That’s right, this was their invincible winning Ninjutsu.

Suddenly using the Enemy Confusion Technique, Boruto, who had never seen such girls, would undoubtedly be surprised and shy, his expression greatly changing. And in terms of practicality, the Enemy Confusion Technique was also an effective way to confuse enemies.

To their surprise, Boruto remained expressionless, even looking disdainful, while Obito’s eyes widened instead.

“You think this level is enough to impress me?”

    “Harem Jutsu!”

Boruto quickly formed hand signs, instantly splitting into six blonde beauties with various expressions who surrounded Izumo Kamizuki and Kotetsu Hagane, immediately unsettling their minds and reverting them to their original forms.

    “Boruto, little brother!”

Gazing at the visually impactful multiple beauties, Izumo Kamizuki and Kotetsu Hagane were utterly convinced and quickly called him ‘brother’.

They had to admit that in this regard, perhaps only their big brother Ebisu could rival Boruto.

Watching the two who were utterly convinced by his Harem Jutsu, Boruto couldn’t help but laugh.

The Ninja of this era were also different from what Sasuke said; they seemed even more cheerful than the people of his time.
