Chapter Index

    Shinobi Sect Leader’s Office.

Due to his urgency, Kakuzu didn’t knock and just opened the office door and walked in.

Seeing Kakuzu enter directly, Yahiko followed suit.

Nagato, seeing this, hesitated to speak but ultimately walked into the office with Konan.

He wasn’t too worried about Danzo Shimura’s matter.

Because he knew Sōsuke’s true identity was Hayate Mugetsu, the strongest Ninja of Konoha’s new era.

Muzuki, as a Konoha Ninja, was willing to kill Danzo Shimura.

Firstly, Danzo Shimura definitely deserved to die, and secondly, Muzuki had a way to deal with it.

After all, Muzuki himself was a Konoha Ninja, so how could he not know Danzo Shimura’s position in Konoha?

But these were secrets that couldn’t be revealed, so Nagato didn’t know how to explain it to Yahiko and the others.

“Sōsuke, such a big deal as killing Danzo Shimura, why didn’t you send someone to inform me?” Kakuzu asked, clearly displeased.

He hadn’t slept well the night he heard the news.

When he closed his eyes, his mind was filled with “Why did Sōsuke kill Danzo Shimura?” and “If Konoha attacks the Shinobi Sect, how should the Shinobi Sect respond?” He couldn’t sleep at all.

“I was worried about affecting your work there,” Muzuki explained.

Muzuki highly valued the Shinobi Sect’s arrangements in Bird Country because it was important work without his direct involvement; if successful, it would indicate that the Shinobi Sect had entered the right track and was no longer a Ninja Organization that couldn’t function without him.

Of course, on another note, Muzuki had indeed thought of a countermeasure long ago.

If Muzuki hadn’t developed to the point where he could negotiate with a Ninja Village when Konoha planned to deal with the Shinobi Sect, then Muzuki would shift the blame to Uchiha Madara.

With his transformation ability, he could accomplish many things, and shifting blame would be effortless.

Furthermore, Muzuki’s main body had immense prestige in Konoha; while shifting blame, his main body could put on a show, and it wouldn’t be difficult to muddle through the matter.

If Muzuki developed well and had enough strength when Konoha prepared to deal with the Shinobi Sect, then things would be simple.

Because this incident was inherently not Konoha’s fault; it was Danzo Shimura assassinating Muzuki’s Shadow Clone and then being killed.

In a situation where Konoha was not in the right, and Muzuki’s Shadow Clone displayed incredibly powerful strength, Konoha would have to carefully consider the pros and cons.

“This matter concerns the survival of the Shinobi Sect; if the Shinobi Sect is gone, what good is doing a good job in Bird Country?” Kakuzu said with a serious expression.

“Sōsuke, tell me the truth, do you already have a solution?”

This was why Kakuzu, despite being very anxious, still completed the necessary work in Bird Country before returning to the Land of Rain.

Sōsuke might be naive and idealistic, but he was definitely not unreliable.

Many things that seemed almost impossible to Kakuzu, Sōsuke accomplished one after another.

Muzuki nodded, smiling faintly, and said:

“This matter is not as serious as you think; thousands of years ago, the Six Paths Sage, with his mythical strength, created the Shinobi Sect and ushered in an era of peace.

As the founder of the modern Shinobi Sect, although I am not as great as the Six Paths Sage and cannot restore peace to the entire Ninja World, protecting the peace of one side is not a problem.”

He was a Shadow Clone newly created by Muzuki after the war, and he was aware of his main body’s current strength.

Even without mentioning the Byakugan, which was about to evolve, Muzuki’s current strength was in a league of its own in the Ninja World.

Kakuzu stared at Sōsuke with wide eyes, not expecting Sōsuke’s method to be so unpretentious.

Although Sōsuke spoke eloquently and even cited the Six Paths Sage, in plain terms, wasn’t it just “I’m invincible, I can carry you”?

“As expected of Sōsuke-sensei!” Yahiko gave Sōsuke a thumbs-up; what he said was too domineering.

Nagato remained silent; he had never been too worried about this matter.

Land of Fire, Konoha Village gate.

Many Ninja wearing Konoha Ninja uniforms stood in front and behind the gate, looking into the distance.

“Hokage-sama and the others have returned victoriously!”

A Ninja with good eyesight shouted, and the Ninja in front and behind the gate quickly checked their posture, straightened their backs, and stared straight ahead.

Soon, a dense crowd gradually approached Konoha.

    “Sandaime-sama!”

When Hiruzen Sarutobi and the others approached the gate, the loud cheers of the Konoha Ninja reached their ears.

Hiruzen Sarutobi smiled and waved to the Konoha Ninja.

An ordinary victory certainly wouldn’t receive such treatment.

This time, Hiruzen Sarutobi personally went to the battlefield and ended the years-long chaotic war, which led to the current scene.

    “Lord Mu Yue!”

Soon, many Ninja also shouted Muzuki’s name, and Muzuki, who was slightly behind Hiruzen Sarutobi, also smiled and waved in response, just like Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Ōnoki looked at the tall Konoha gate, feeling a moment of trance, as if he had traveled through time back to decades ago.

This was his second time coming to Konoha.

The first time he came to Konoha was when he was thirteen, when he and his master, Mu, came to Konoha to handle diplomacy and were then injured and driven out by Uchiha Madara.

“This time, no one should drive me away,” Ōnoki thought with a bitter smile.

After all, Konoha only had a second God of Shinobi, not a second Uchiha Madara, and he was forced to come to Konoha as a defeated party anyway.

The Third Mizukage also smiled cheerfully.

With the war over, the Hidden Mist Ninja captured by Konoha would be completely released.

To prevent Hidden Mist from changing their minds on the battlefield again, Konoha had only released Yagura Karatachi in advance.

Obito, at the front of the troops, watched Hiruzen Sarutobi and Muzuki walk into Konoha amidst the cheers of the Ninja, and an expression of longing appeared on his face.

He thought it was very cool, much cooler than winning first place in any competition, and it could be ranked in Obito’s top 5 most desired scenarios.

“Someday, I can be like this too!” Obito said with a confident expression.

Kakashi glanced at Obito and said faintly, “Don’t you hate war? This kind of scene only happens after a major war ends. Do you wish for more wars in the future?”

Hearing this topic, Rin Nohara couldn’t help but look at Obito as well.

    Obito’s expression froze.

“Then let’s just never have this scene,” Obito had to reluctantly adjust his top 5 most desired scenarios.

Compared to being cool, he still hoped there would be no war, so fewer people would die in battle.

A person’s death affects not only themselves but also their family and various relatives and friends.

Obito had a deep understanding of this, because not only was he an orphan himself, but many people around him were also orphans or from single-parent families.

“This time, I should get a cool title, since I’m so awesome,” Obito thought it was better to think about something good.

For example, what cool nickname would he get for his strong performance.

The Ninja World had a habit of giving Ninja nicknames; whether they were enemies or allies, the more unique and stronger they were, the easier it was for them to get nicknames.

Obito felt that his Kamui was quite unique and strong too.
