Chapter Index

Disciple Uchiha Shisui’s trust level has increased. Current trust level: 4.

You gifted your disciple a self-made ninja tool of decent quality. Your disciple was extremely grateful, triggering a Super Critical reward. You received: Thunder Breathing (Perfect Grade) and black-framed glasses.

Disciple Uchiha Shisui’s emotions were too intense, activating his Six Paths bloodline and awakening his Sharingan. His strength increased, and you received: Byakugan.

Disciple Uchiha Shisui’s Chakra +200. Master-Disciple Return received Chakra +800.

As Muzuki expected, extreme emotions led to an unprecedented burst, yielding a skill above the proficient level and an accompanying pair of glasses whose use was currently unknown.

However, Shisui’s enhancement reward this time was a bit abstract; he awakened his Sharingan, but it actually gave him a pair of Byakugan. Fortunately, the Byakugan rewarded by the system could be controlled, and the eyes would not change when not activated.

But upon closer inspection, there was no major issue; both the Sharingan and Byakugan were, at their core, bloodlines left behind by the Ōtsutsuki.

The Master-Disciple Return reward from Trust Level 4 was very powerful. Shisui’s Chakra increased due to awakening his Sharingan, and it directly quadrupled when transferred to him.

“Next, the Chakra growth rate should see a significant improvement,” Muzuki thought to himself.

The Sharingan, of course, brought more than just these two hundred Chakra. The powerful mental energy boost would make Shisui’s natural Chakra growth rate even faster, and Shisui’s increased Chakra meant Muzuki’s increased Chakra.

This time, the rewards were truly maximized. Muzuki could only say that his efforts were not in vain.

The increase in trust level also brought new changes to the Master-Disciple panel.

Disciple Uchiha Shisui has obtained an optional life mission.

    Life Mission: Uchiha and Konoha.

Main Objective: Resolve the conflict between the Uchiha and Konoha, allowing the Uchiha to integrate into Konoha.

    Mission Progress: 0.

Mission Reward: Determined by mission completion and strength growth during the mission period. Settlements will occur for every ten percent progress increase.

Note 1: The mission automatically fails if the Uchiha Clan’s population is too low.

Note 2: Life missions are extremely difficult. Once confirmed, you can only proceed to the next life mission after completing the current one. Please choose carefully.

Note 3: Greater difficulty yields higher rewards.

Muzuki fell into thought, looking at the life mission that appeared for Shisui.

If things followed the original plot, this mission would undoubtedly be impossible to succeed, as the Uchiha were ultimately annihilated.

However, the Uchiha’s annihilation in the original story had multiple reasons. Firstly, Obito’s Nine-Tailed incident caused the already distrusted Uchiha Clan to be completely isolated. The isolated Uchiha then sought to rebel, and Danzo, who had designs on the Sharingan, naturally wouldn’t miss this opportunity.

Muzuki thought for a moment and finally confirmed the mission.

Even without Shisui’s mission, Muzuki intended to deal with Obito’s matter. As long as Muzuki prevented Obito from turning dark, the Uchiha wouldn’t fall into a clan annihilation crisis, and without a clan annihilation crisis, the mission wouldn’t immediately fail.

In Muzuki’s opinion, this mission’s difficulty was moderate, not too hard. If it were something like a mission to bring world peace, Muzuki wouldn’t be too keen on accepting it; it would be too difficult to complete and unsuitable as a first mission.

“Shisui, your eyes,” Obito noticed that Shisui’s eyes had turned a vivid blood-red, with a tomoe pattern spinning within them.

Obito truly envied Shisui at this moment. He had received such a wonderful birthday gift and even awakened the Uchiha Clan’s Sharingan.

If he had the Sharingan, how could he have lost to Might Guy so many times? He wouldn’t have to do so many problems then.

Shisui, in his state of extreme excitement, hadn’t paid much attention, but at Obito’s reminder, he immediately noticed the anomaly.

“Is this the power of the Sharingan?” Shisui felt the world become incredibly clear, even seeing through the flight paths of insects.

“For now, don’t display your Sharingan in front of others,” Muzuki said.

Awakening the eyes and increasing strength was a good thing, but Shisui was only just six years old. If news of his awakening at this age got out, it would have a significant impact.

Firstly, Fugaku and other Uchiha elders would pay more attention to Shisui, which wasn’t a big problem and would allow Shisui to gain more resources.

The key lay in the impact outside the Uchiha, specifically Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo.

Hiruzen Sarutobi would be fine; at most, he would educate Shisui on The Will of Fire and love for the Village, making Shisui the next Uchiha Kagami.

Danzo was a different story. Given Danzo’s vigilance towards the Uchiha, he would either want to firmly control Uchiha Shisui and turn him into a sharp blade for Konoha, or he would enter a state of extreme vigilance against Shisui, to prevent the emergence of another Uchiha Madara.

The cost-benefit ratio was not proportional, so Muzuki chose to have Shisui conceal his Sharingan.

“Why is that? Isn’t awakening eyes a good thing?” Obito didn’t quite understand. If he had awakened his Sharingan, he would definitely use it constantly; otherwise, wouldn’t it be a waste?

“I’ll explain the specific reasons to both of you later. It’s related to the conflict between the Uchiha Clan and the Village,” Muzuki explained.

“Understood, Muzuki-sensei, I know,” Shisui nodded in response.

He trusted that Muzuki-sensei wouldn’t harm him. If Muzuki said not to display his Sharingan in front of others, then he wouldn’t use it. Even when his uncle returned, Shisui wouldn’t proactively inform him.

“First, blow out the candles and make a wish. Celebrating your birthday is the most important thing today,” Muzuki said with a gentle smile.

Shisui stood before the cake, closing his eyes and contemplating his wish.

Although rationality told him that all wishes were the same because they couldn’t materialize out of thin air, he was simply too happy today and felt it could be a bit more ceremonial.

“If possible, let this life continue. May the Village, the clan, and sensei all become better…” Shisui thought to himself.

Then, Shisui opened his eyes and blew out the six candles.

“Shisui, what did you wish for?” Obito asked curiously.

“You can’t ask that, you know. If you say it, it won’t come true,” Rin Nohara said with a gentle smile.

After the wishes were made, it was time for the final cake-eating segment. This time, there was no cake fight; everyone happily ate and chatted together.

“Shisui, how did you suddenly awaken your Sharingan?” Obito hoped to learn from his success.

“I don’t know. I suddenly felt a special Chakra surge through my body, and then my eyes awakened,” Shisui thought for a moment, not knowing how to describe the feeling.

“If you continue to train, you’ll be able to awaken your Sharingan too,” Muzuki said, taking a bite of cake.

Awakening a normal Sharingan wasn’t difficult; the hard part was awakening the Mangekyo Sharingan.

If the Mangekyo didn’t have Hashirama cells or wasn’t upgraded to an Eternal Mangekyo, it was a huge pitfall; using it too much would render oneself useless.

Happy times are always short-lived. Unknowingly, the night grew deeper and deeper. After Muzuki and the others helped Shisui tidy up his house, they prepared to leave.

Shisui found one million ryo and gave it to Muzuki as supplementary funds for crafting ninja tools, because Muzuki had previously mentioned that the material costs were very high, and he wouldn’t be able to buy expensive ingredients for cooking anymore.

Muzuki smiled and refused the money Shisui offered, saying:

“For a sensei, a disciple’s growth in strength is the best reward. If that short blade can help you gain an advantage in battle in the future, I will be very happy.”

After speaking, Muzuki bid farewell and left. He had received many rewards this time, and he wanted to test out his newly acquired skills.

“Become stronger…” Gazing at Muzuki’s gradually receding back, Shisui’s mind still replayed Muzuki’s words.
