Chapter Index

On the third floor, amidst the crowded people.

Lu Xuan waved at Jiang Nian, her expression clearly showing she was in a good mood.

    “Over here!”

Jiang Nian was bewildered, thinking, ‘Why is Happy Sheep calling me?’

    “Huh?”

The next second, gazes from all directions converged on him.

“Why is another girl looking for you, damn it! And a beautiful girl I’ve never seen before. Jiang Nian, why the hell isn’t your dick rotting off?”

After seeing this scene, Li Hua’s originally suppressed frustration turned into even more unbearable pain, and he let out a hysterical curse.

    “Just go die! Damn it!”

It wasn’t that he couldn’t stand his brother doing well; the problem was his brother was doing *too* well. And his luck with women was constant, and still growing.

What was even more heartbreaking was…

This wasn’t fake growth; it was real growth!

“Damn it, what’s going on with Jiang Nian, this guy?” Ma Guojun also realized something was wrong. “How many has this been already, damn it!”

“Holy crap, this is infuriating!” Liu Yang also reacted. “So, only he has a cheering squad in our team?”

“That’s not how it is. I’m not familiar with her,” Jiang Nian quickly argued. “I’m a relatively introverted person.”

“Introverted, my ass! You make me sick!”

“Damn it, thinking that if we win the game, Jiang Nian will get to show off again. I feel utterly uncomfortable, I want to defect!”

Such disloyalty, Lin Dong should be shot immediately!

“Brothers, is there any way we can win, but also make Jiang Nian lose miserably and completely lose face?”

Li Hua’s thoughts were even more malicious; he needed to be mowed down with a machine gun.

    Too many haters, I’m out.

“Why did you come here?” Jiang Nian glanced at her, looking left and right, and didn’t see Xu Qianqian. He wasn’t too concerned about Lu Xuan, as they really weren’t that familiar.

“To watch the game, since it’s the semi-finals.” Lu Xuan smiled. “Don’t look at me like that, I’m not here to steal intel.”

“Steal what?” Jiang Nian was stunned.

    “Intel!”

“Even if it were ‘Qingbao,’ it’s not yours to steal,” Jiang Nian retorted a couple of times, then warned, “You’d best behave yourself.”

Lu Xuan knew he was referring to shipping, and a guilty expression involuntarily appeared on her face.

She really was there to ship, thinking that for such an important game, Li Qingrong would definitely be there no matter what.

    However, she looked back.

“No, where are the people from your class?”

    “Self-study.”

Lu Xuan was dumbfounded, stuck in place. If Li Qingrong wasn’t there, what was her reason for coming?

“Let’s go, aren’t you going to watch the game?”

“I… I’ll just watch for a bit longer.” Lu Xuan wanted to run, but looked up and saw Jiang Nian making Happy Sheep’s classic gesture.

“You!!!” She immediately broke down, gritting her teeth. “I… I really like the game, so I’ll… cheer for you.”

    Hearing this, Jiang Nian smiled.

If he couldn’t handle others, could he not handle her?

The Class Three team had already gone downstairs to the field. He figured it was about time for him to leave too, so he said,

“I’ll keep this secret of yours forever.”

    Lu Xuan: “…”

Jiang Nian descended to the sports field and saw Xu Qianqian and Song Xiyun outside the field.

    So, he waved at them.

Xu Qianqian’s gaze had been searching around. After seeing Jiang Nian wave, her movements paused, and then she pretended to look at the scenery.

“Good luck, try to beat our class.”

“Don’t you have any class pride?” Jiang Nian looked at the two girls and asked curiously, “How long will you two watch?”

“Why do you ask?” Xu Qianqian looked puzzled.

“Oh, I won a teacher’s cafeteria meal card.” Jiang Nian said, pulling out the meal card and handing it to Xu Qianqian.

She subconsciously took it; there was nothing of Jiang Nian’s that she couldn’t accept anyway.

    “Where did you win it?”

“A ‘pitch-pot’ game, a teacher’s prize.” Jiang Nian said concisely, “Anyway, our teacher gave me this meal card.”

“You know, I already have several meal cards. You two take it and use it; after all, it’s better to keep the wealth within the family.”

When Jiang Nian said this, Xu Qianqian didn’t find it strange. After all, the Jiang family would always save her half a watermelon when they ate one.

No matter what, she really wasn’t an outsider. Jiang Nian had never hesitated when he used her piggy bank before. “Alright then, thanks.” Xu Qianqian took the white card. “We’ll watch for a bit, then we’ll go eat.”

“Okay, it’s just a small game, nothing to see.” Jiang Nian habitually bragged, “Your class is too weak, wait for the finals and then…” “Look at you, strutting around.” Xu Qianqian rolled her eyes. “Talk when you’ve won. The guys in our class play soccer every day.”

“Hehe.” Jiang Nian turned and ran into the sports field.

Before the game started, he cautiously scanned Class Four’s lineup.

He let out a sigh of relief. Sure enough, Class Four didn’t have many cheerleaders. Xu Qianqian and Song Xiyun were even standing on the other side.

After all, games can get boring, and few people are willing to watch every match.

    “Beep—!!!”

The whistle echoed across the sky, attracting everyone’s attention.

Lu Xuan stood in an open area, watching the game with a lifeless expression. Not having any shipping to enjoy made her feel somewhat listless.

    “Class Four! Must win!”

    Clap clap! (Coordinated clapping sound)

    “Class Four! Must win!”

    Clap clap!

It can only be said that Class Four indeed had loyal subjects. Not all of them were treacherous officials like Xu Qianqian, who never considered the Class Four Dynasty.

The Class Four cheering squad’s voices grew louder and louder.

However, less than three minutes into the game…

After Jiang Nian dribbled and shot, Class Four’s cheering suddenly stopped, amusing Li Hua and the others.

“Hehe, loyalty that isn’t absolute is absolutely disloyal!”

    “Too weak, my friend.”

“Why aren’t the cheerleaders shouting? Is something on their minds?”

The Class Four players were almost fuming. It was the first time they had seen a team where everyone was gloating, each one naturally sarcastic.

“Damn it, these guys are too arrogant, aren’t they?”

“Class Three’s idiots, just a makeshift team.” The Class Four captain took a deep breath. “Don’t panic, the opponent only has one player who can actually play!”

“Think about all our practice days; our strength lies in teamwork.”

“Right! That idiot can’t possibly play from start to finish!”

    “Go! Go!”

Class Four began to organize their offense. Less than eight minutes into the game, they launched three consecutive attacks, fiercely assaulting their backline.

Since there was no offside rule, both sides attacked and defended fiercely.

    Until…

Class Four’s main player suddenly noticed two people constantly marking him. No matter where he ran, they stuck to him like glue.

After being tightly marked twice in a row, his teammates stopped passing the ball to him.

The main player instantly exploded, cursing loudly.

“Damn it, where did these idiots come from? You’re practically glued to me, two defending one. Do you even know how to play soccer?”

Lin Dong scratched his head but said nothing.

The Class Four main player continued to curse and ran in another direction. Just then, a ball flew towards him, not far away. He excitedly ran over, just about to trap the ball, when suddenly, his peripheral vision caught a figure sliding directly towards him. That powerful kick made his heart pound with fear!

Why not avoid it? Because I am a bullet.

Clearly, the Class Four main player didn’t want to become a bullet. So, he could only give up possession of the ball and loudly protest to the referee.

However, there was no successful tackle, so naturally, no yellow card.

The Class Four main player completely lost his temper, cursing at the referee as well.

“Idiot referee, don’t you have eyes? If I get tackled by him, will I still be able to play soccer today, damn it?”

The referee glanced at him, ready to blow the whistle.

The Class Four main player immediately cowered, waving his hand to indicate he conceded. Only then did the referee stop, gesturing for the game to continue.

Truly a traditional player, quick to change his expression.

    On the field.

Jiang Nian constantly dribbled and weaved through players, thinking to himself, ‘Why isn’t anyone taking bets on this game? Otherwise, I could bet a few hundred and treat my teammates to a meal.’

    No skill, just attack!

As for Class Three’s players, the defenders Liu Yang and Sun Zhicheng, kept running until they became midfielders, while the midfielders just kept sliding tackles.

Lin Dong tackled the Class Four main player again, then actively helped him up.

    “My apologies.”

The Class Four main player was speechless. ‘Damn it, he’s quite polite.’

However, his calf was starting to ache faintly. If he got tackled again, he’d have to leave the field and be replaced by a substitute.

This person in front of him was shortening his soccer career.

“Holy crap, are these guys crazy?!”

“Be careful not to get tackled by them. Those inexperienced hotheads who haven’t played soccer before have no control over their tackles and no manners at all.”

More than twenty minutes had passed in the game, and Class Three was leading 2-0.

“Let’s go, it doesn’t look like there’s any suspense.” Xu Qianqian remarked outside the field, “Jiang Nian is still as shameless as ever.”

    “What?” Song Xiyun didn’t understand.

She only thought Jiang Nian was quite impressive. Even with the chaos on the field, he could still dart left and right, dribble, and shoot.

“Class Three’s players keep fouling. Our class practiced for so long, but the opponents never even considered a head-on confrontation.”

After Xu Qianqian finished speaking, she pulled Song Xiyun, ready to go to the teacher’s cafeteria for dinner.

“Let’s go, otherwise he’ll start showing off to us again.”

Coming out of the sports field, as they crossed the basketball court, Xu Qianqian casually glanced around, her gaze lingering on a familiar figure.

Long legs, and a face that looked a bit baby-faced.

A girl from Jiang Nian’s class?

She remembered seeing that person one day during lunch break when she went up to the fourth floor. Only now, that person was accompanied by another delicate-looking girl.

They were holding milk tea, seemingly walking towards the sports field.

Wang Yuhe was chattering away to Chen Yunyun, when her peripheral vision caught Xu Qianqian, and she couldn’t help but turn to look at her again.

Their eyes met, and she was surprised.

    “What beautiful girls!”

Chen Yunyun tilted her head to look at her. “What?”

“Two girls just walked past, beautiful and unique.” Wang Yuhe chattered, “Oh, right, they were the two who were looking for Jiang Nian last time.”

    Chen Yunyun: “Hmm?”

    Whoosh—!!!

A long whistle echoed through the twilight sports field. Class Three won the game 3-1.

“Class Four is quite strong too. They still managed to score a goal after so many substitutions.” Li Hua sighed, “Truly admirable…”

“Stop sighing, take off your jersey!” Liu Yang walked over and started pulling at Li Hua’s vest. “Hurry, hurry, it’s dinner time!”

“Cheer for me, applaud for me!” Lin Dong tossed his head. “Those guys are quite sturdy; they actually held on.”

“We won! Today’s victory was hard-earned.” Jiang Nian put his hands on his hips and exclaimed, “Next time, we’ll be on the championship field.”

“Stop sighing, it’s dinner time.” Liu Yang grabbed Jiang Nian’s vest.

He was the sports committee member and logistics captain, fed up with these idiots. They only knew how to sigh, while he was being rushed to collect the clothes.

“Oh, oh, then let’s eat.” Jiang Nian nodded. After a simple post-match handshake, he walked directly towards the spectators outside the field.

    “When did you all arrive?”

Chen Yunyun smiled and handed him the juice. “When you were two-nil up, right when Class Four was just making their comeback.”

As she spoke, she conveniently brushed off the dust that had gotten on his sleeve.

“Jiang Nian, Jiang Nian!” Wang Yuhe put her hands on her hips confidently, “If I had played, you wouldn’t have conceded a goal.”

“red stone.” Li Hua leaned in. “Friend, do you know why the opponents counterattacked as fiercely as bulls?”

    “Why?”

“Because our math class representative slid and stepped on someone’s groin, and our sports committee member directly pulled their main player to the ground.”

    Wang Yuhe: “Ah?”

“What nonsense are you talking about? Just normal minor friction.” Jiang Nian pushed Li Hua. “Call everyone, let’s go eat somewhere else.”

As he spoke, he turned to look at Chen Yunyun and the others.

    “Want to come along?”

“No need, you all go ahead.” Chen Yunyun said, “We just saw two very pretty girls.”
