Chapter Index

The first class in the morning was english.

As class neared its end, Xi Bao walked around the classroom with her textbook, lecturing, and finally completed a circuit.

She stopped by the podium, next to the second row of the third group.

She looked down from above, staring at a certain person with an expression that seemed to say, “Can you even do it, you weakling?”

    Jiang Nian looked up, “Huh?”

If it were a regular teacher, they might have made Jiang Nian stand up and perhaps even asked him to share what homework he was doing during class.

Xi Bao had already given up; she just felt Jiang Nian was a bit incompetent. He had been working on that math problem for the first twenty minutes, and twenty minutes later, he was still working on it.

Is math really that difficult? Can he even do it?

She stood there staring for a while, originally intending to show off by figuring out the answer at a glance.

She quickly scanned the dense symbols, a math problem even more pure-blooded than english.

Never mind, I’m out of here.

Jiang Nian still found it strange; he wondered what was going on in that woman’s head.

Never mind, as soon as class ended, he would rush to the office and ruthlessly raid her drawer for snacks!

Anyway, he was definitely going to be called upon to lead the discussion in the second class!

    Damn it!

    Strike first!

After the first class, a large number of students collapsed.

Jiang Nian successfully plundered survival supplies from Xi Bao’s office, or more precisely, his salary.

Now, it had gone from “no, no” to “give it to me, give it to me.”

    What? Your snacks?

    My snacks!

In the second class, Li Hua felt a bit strange.

He looked up at the two people on the podium, somewhat confused, and poked Huang Fang in the seat in front of him.

“Why has Jiang Nian been standing for an entire class? Isn’t the English Teacher going to let him sit down?”

Huang Fang had an expression that seemed to see through everything, “He must have broken a heavenly rule.”

Zhang Ningzhi glanced at the suckable jelly in Jiang Nian’s desk drawer and pouted.

She was clearly a bit unhappy, and the rabbit hair clip she had worn for a whole class was now put away.

Zeng You’s phone was charging, and he was sleeping with his head down.

Platinum sunlight fell on him, warm and cozy.

He was quite satisfied with his current situation; his grades were decent, and getting into college wasn’t an issue.

Reality was tedious and boring, but in novels, he could be both a Prodigy, leveling up to godhood with his Junior Sister in an ancient Secret Realm, and a tomb raider, searching for treasure in the Nine Netherworlds.

Suspenseful and eerie, the Fourteen-Road Bus, folk tales, all sorts of bizarre and fantastical things.

He just had to sit at his desk, open his phone, and he could experience it all.

The phone! The Dao of salvation was within it!

Wu Jungu occasionally zoned out during class, his brow furrowed all day.

His girlfriend from the next class had been having a tense relationship with her family recently; her parents argued every day.

She kept talking about moving into the dorms, and every time she mentioned her family, she cried.

He was still hesitating; if his girlfriend lived in the dorms, their conversations would inevitably decrease.

He heard that dorm students often complained about the difficulty of getting hot water; it was fine in autumn, but once winter set in, there would be long lines of people.

If his girlfriend lived in the dorms, he wouldn’t be able to help her.

Perhaps some boy would appear, helping her get hot water and lending her his meal card.

That kind of thing! No way!

Maybe he should just move into the dorms himself, but the transfer procedure required the Homeroom Teacher’s approval before it could be submitted.

He planned to ask Jiang Nian for a favor, to help him sound out Old Liu.

Tomorrow, during the sports meeting, Old Liu should be in a good mood and easier to talk to.

Although he was an original resident of Olympiad Class Three, among the people he knew, only Jiang Nian had a good relationship with Old Liu, and they were in the same group, making them the most familiar.

Otherwise, he would have to find the class monitor, but Wu Jungu was unwilling to deal with the class monitor.

Just thinking about it made him shudder.

The morning classes passed uneventfully; the third year of high school was mostly about fatigue.

After class, there was no mood for joking around; any spare time was usually spent sleeping.

Unless it was physical education class, especially the last class before noon.

    “Damn it! Where’s my basketball?!”

“Go reserve a court! Bring Ma Guojun with you; if anyone tries to steal it, give them a set of bee elbow strikes!”

Li Hua ran off as soon as the bell rang, inviting Jiang Nian along, but was rejected.

Zeng You, however, followed him; he was a bit bored without his phone.

At the Group Six’s seats, only three people remained.

When the bell for PE class rang, most of the people in the classroom had left.

Jiang Nian finally put down his pen, reluctantly getting up from his seat, and tearing his gaze away from the problem.

Damn, I’ve been stuck all morning.

Zhang Ningzhi also got up and left the classroom before Jiang Nian, flashing past him.

She wasn’t wearing the rabbit hair clip.

Jiang Nian didn’t notice at all; he turned to see Wu Jungu in his seat.

    “Jun Ge, let’s go.”

“Oh, oh, I have something I want to ask you.”

Wu Jungu slowly got up, and the two walked out of the classroom together, reciting the prepared speech.

As he spoke, he observed Jiang Nian’s expression; if the other person seemed troubled, he would figure out a solution himself.

Fortunately, Jiang Nian’s expression remained unchanged, and he even smiled.

“Jun Ge, living in the dorms is very tough.”

    “Yes, it can’t be helped.”

Seeing that Wu Jungu didn’t want to say more, Jiang Nian didn’t think too much about it.

“Alright, I’ll help you ask this afternoon.

I might not have time tomorrow; after the competition, I have something I need to take leave for.”

During PE class, on the sports field.

Zhang Ningzhi stood in the assembled line, watching Jiang Nian and Wu Jungu slowly walk towards them together from a distance.

Her mouth couldn’t help but pout; he didn’t even see her.

The PE class for third-year students was relatively simple: the sports committee led two laps of running, then organized a set of exercises, the PE teacher came over to say a few words, and then distributed sports equipment.

“Alright, everyone, be careful and safe! Dismissed!”

The PE teacher was a middle-aged man in his forties, carrying a can filled with brown tea.

Upon hearing this, the students immediately scattered in twos and threes.

Students who had signed up for events chose to train, or at least warm up.

Those who hadn’t signed up either played various ball games or went for a walk.

A very small number of people chose to return to the classroom, and Jiang Nian was one of them.

He had played enough in his first and second years of high school; now he preferred doing problems.

Yu Tongjie noticed Jiang Nian turning back to the classroom and couldn’t help but find it amusing.

Such laziness, his attitude was all wrong.

If Li Qingrong saw this, she would definitely be very disappointed in Jiang Nian.

He was different; he actively contributed to the class.

Rank wasn’t important; the process was what mattered. Wasn’t a competition about the spirit of never giving up?

He planned to run a few more laps today to get used to the long-distance running rhythm.

    And run with Li Qingrong.

Below the teaching building, Jiang Nian stood with one hand in his pocket, bathed in sunlight.

Teaching sounds came from above, but he didn’t have to attend class; he had never felt so leisurely.

He slowly went upstairs, pulled out his phone, and glanced at it.

    Awesome.

    This was me actively studying.

As he reached the corner, he suddenly looked down.

Zhang Ningzhi appeared nonchalantly downstairs, climbing the stairs with a serious expression.

As he watched, Jiang Nian couldn’t help but fall into thought and finally realized something.

Branch Branch Baby seemed quite grown up too.

Ah, no, that didn’t seem to be the point.

How strange, let me look again.

Where was the rabbit hair clip?
