Chapter Index

“Who dares call out Our name?”

Li Hua strode into the classroom, his face immediately bitter as he saw the table full of drinks. He couldn’t help but let out a long cry!

“I swear I’ll never gamble again! That damn old six cheated me. If I ever gamble with Jiang Nian again, I’ll jump from the fourth floor.”

In reality, twenty-something yuan was nothing to Li Hua. Moreover, treating his group members to drinks meant the favor would ultimately fall on him.

What he couldn’t understand was how he had lost to Jiang Nian.

A damn deck of fifty-four cards.

That kid just randomly picked a card and got the specified one. Li Hua would die before believing he didn’t cheat.

Ma Guojun, sitting in his seat, became interested, giving a ‘Brother Tiger’ style upward gaze.

“Are you really going to jump?”

“I just said it, you actually took it seriously.” Li Hua’s expression changed instantly, and he said with a grin, “Ma Guojun, want to make a bet with me? I’m so bad, I’m sure to lose.”

“Get lost, talk to me after you beat Jiang Nian.” Ma Guojun knew Li Hua was going to cheat.

His amateur tricks couldn’t fool Jiang Nian, so he turned around, thinking of making some money off his brother. These scoundrels, they’re truly masters of pretending to be clueless.

Li Hua returned disappointed, then saw Jiang Nian grinning at him.

He shivered with anger; what a cheating scumbag.

Huang Fang watched the few of them clowning around and roughly understood the situation. Since it was a benefit for the sixth group, she gratefully accepted.

“Thank you, group leader, for the drinks.”

“Hey, why thank him?” Jiang Nian was a bit displeased, pointing at her, “I won the drinks; Li Hua is purely a loser, the defeated party, the lowest of the low.”

“Then thank you too.” Huang Fang was a bit helpless.

“No!” Li Hua declared righteously, slamming the table, “Jiang Nian is just a baby villain, a scumbag from Zhennan who cheats at games.”

    “Don’t thank him!”

“Hey, you damn it, are you refusing to admit defeat?” Jiang Nian once again pointed his ‘Great Desolation Imprisoning Heaven’ finger.

“You damn cheated, why would I admit defeat!” Li Hua was also completely unyielding, his voice so loud it attracted several people who started watching and pointing.

“This Li Hua is so weak.”

“Yeah, yeah, let’s go, don’t let bad luck rub off on us.”

“He’s even looking at them, how annoying.”

Li Hua watched the three men leave, utterly bewildered, thinking, ‘These guys are really mean.’ Sometimes having many friends isn’t good; there are more people taking the opportunity to stir up trouble.

As for the last little handkerchief, Li Hua felt he wasn’t faking it.

“Stop talking nonsense, let’s play another round.” Jiang Nian interrupted someone’s wild fantasy, “If you’re really scared, you can find a referee.”

Just then, Zhang Ningzhi walked in from outside.

Upon hearing about finding a referee, she immediately got excited. After all, it was fun within the group, so of course she wanted to watch, and thus volunteered, raising her hand.

    “Me, me!”

Li Hua merely glanced at her, then directly shook his head, refusing.

    “I don’t trust you; you’ll be a mole.”

Zhang Ningzhi, who loved her group, immediately retired from the role, pouting.

    “Hmph.”

Ma Guojun wanted to be the referee, but Li Hua vetoed it with one vote. The reason was that Ma Guojun was too greedy, and might have already been bribed by Jiang Nian with drinks.

Li Qingrong came in, glanced around, and returned to her seat.

    “How about the class monitor?”

Faced with this suggestion, Li Hua hesitated.

Jiang Nian was like a dog, constantly fawning over the class monitor, so he might have already recruited her. If she then lied with her eyes open, he’d be utterly defeated.

“No, your choice of people is too biased.”

Finally, Li Hua pulled in Nie Qiqi; at least she wasn’t on Jiang Nian’s side.

“Oh, you boys are so boring.” Nie Qiqi wasn’t enthusiastic about being a referee, but thinking she could sit next to the class monitor, she agreed.

    Five minutes later.

Li Hua buried his head, crying in pain, having lost his mind, pounding on the table.

“No more gambling! I’ll never gamble again!”

The matter was settled; the sixth group would have drinks for a week. All expenses would be paid by Young Master Li, which could be considered robbing the rich to help the poor.

Everyone was happy, except for Li Hua, who was a little emotional.

But no one cared; it was time to pop the champagne.

    Evening study.

Sun Zhicheng was a bit confused; to be honest, Lin Dong had indeed worked hard to fulfill his promise. But he always felt something was off. How could the people he pushed…

After a long pause, he turned to look at Lin Dong, who was loudly reciting from his biology textbook.

“The QQ numbers you pushed to me this afternoon, are you sure you didn’t push the wrong ones?”

Lin Dong was engrossed in his studies at the moment, but when Sun Zhicheng interrupted him, he wasn’t annoyed; instead, he patiently explained.

“Just chat with confidence, they’re all hand-picked by me.”

Lin Dong’s voice was a bit loud, startling Sun Zhicheng.

He quickly manually lowered Lin Dong’s voice, thinking, ‘Don’t expose me.’

The fewer people who knew about such things, the better. Otherwise, he’d lose all dating opportunities in class.

Although he had sworn to be a’sea king’ this afternoon, a cunning rabbit has three burrows.

Was he really not leaving himself a way out?

Sun Zhicheng liked the saying, ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day, but it can be destroyed in a flash.’ So, he had to take things one step at a time.

“No, Brother Dong.” Sun Zhicheng scratched his head and whispered, “The QQ numbers you gave me are indeed high-quality; every one of them has fair skin, a beautiful face, and long legs.”

“Then isn’t that enough?” Lin Dong raised an eyebrow, drawing out his words, “What more do you want? First, get to know these people thoroughly.”

“Brother, I can’t handle it.” Sun Zhicheng was anxious.

“What? Do you like dark, fat, and ugly ones?” Lin Dong’s face paled, and he thought, ‘Don’t tell me, don’t tell me,’ “If you really need them, I…”

“How could that be? What I mean is…” Sun Zhicheng was embarrassed to speak, pulling Lin Dong closer, “The ones you pushed to me, why do they all have boyfriends?”

After school that afternoon, he added people using the QQ numbers Lin Dong provided.

The beginning and process were smooth; he added and chatted with three people simultaneously. Relying on his eloquence, which far surpassed that of high school students, and his niche hobbies…

He talked about everything from poetry and prose to literary life.

Later, he started discussing “Walden” and then “War and Peace,” subtly showing off his financial strength by talking about what car he’d buy after he turned eighteen.

From buying a car, he talked about road trips, and then about accidents during travel.

Those three girls almost simultaneously mentioned, “Oh, my boyfriend (my baby) (my husband) and I also planned to go to xxx.”

Three sentences, three times he was triggered.

    Wait, married women?

“What’s wrong with that?” Lin Dong looked puzzled.

Honestly, Sun Zhicheng was a bit confused.

He wondered if he was abnormal or if the world had twisted into something he didn’t understand.

Oh my god, that’s a girl with a boyfriend.

So what? What do you mean, so what?!

What are they supposed to talk about, how many times they exchanged partners at night?

Of course, that’s not something that can’t be talked about, after all, only that silly dog Yang Qiming was triggered.

“No, Brother Dong, you… How do you chat with them?” He was a bit confused. “I want QQ numbers of single girls, not girls who are already in relationships.”

Lin Dong stared at Sun Zhicheng, sizing him up for a while, then finally blurted out a sentence.

    “Are you worthy?”

Sun Zhicheng was instantly triggered, speechless for a long time.

    “I…”

One sentence, and his teammate was stunned, their body cold.

Sun Zhicheng’s young heart was shattered by Lin Dong’s punch, transforming from confident to utterly dejected. He fell from the clouds into a gutter, then into the sewer.

“Someone like me, do I really not deserve love?”

Seeing Sun Zhicheng’s Aura completely gone, about to go from one extreme to another.

Lin Dong spoke to comfort him, “No, Ah Cheng, don’t you understand?”

    “Understand what?”

“QQ! The Dao of salvation lies within it!” Lin Dong put a hand on his shoulder, saying earnestly, “Don’t forget my past journey.”

Hearing this, Sun Zhicheng suddenly realized.

When it came to playing on QQ Space, this kind of online chat, you still needed an old veteran like Lin Dong from the Qing Dynasty.

According to Emperor Lin himself, he started chatting online on QQ at the age of six. He had opened all sorts of crowns, yellow diamonds, green diamonds, and was incredibly skilled at various customizations.

This was an authoritative expert, a people’s artist.

“Brother, what do you mean?” Sun Zhicheng ultimately chose to believe first, then question.

“You’re confused, Ah Cheng.” Lin Dong shook his head, “When you pursue single girls, your opponents might be three, four, five people. It’s better to change your approach.”

“When you pursue girls with boyfriends, you only ever have one opponent.”

    Sun Zhicheng: “…”

He knew Lin Dong would say something like that, but the problem was, it was fine to trick others, but why trick a brother?

It sounded good, but wasn’t this just being a toy for those bad women?

When he laid out his doubts.

Lin Dong merely smiled faintly, patting him on the shoulder three times.

    “Do you want to learn?”

Two evening self-study sessions passed, and Jiang Nian looked up during the break to stretch his shoulders.

Sometimes he occasionally wondered, working like an animal every day. He really wouldn’t get a break until the college entrance exam and Chinese New Year.

Normally, Chinese New Year might only offer a two-week holiday.

Twelve or eleven days, which wasn’t enough time to sign up for driving practice. The best pastime would still be to go out and travel, take a trip to another city, then return.

    So what about driving practice?

Once he was an adult, he’d have to have a car to play with. He didn’t have much money now. If he bought a car, it would cut his money in half, but he would definitely have more savings in the future.

Perhaps by the time of the college entrance exam, he would already have several million in his pocket.

By that time, a car would definitely be the priority.

A house. That kind of thing was too distant, and he heard not to touch it without six million. Unless it was for marriage, but he wasn’t really keen on marriage at all.

In fact, he had a bit of a small shadow.

After all, the System’s curse hung over his head; he would face a tribulation at thirty. Who wouldn’t panic in that situation? How could he not believe in evil and jump into the fire pit?

Future matters would be discussed in the future; the most important thing now was to get a driver’s license. The normal approach was basically to wait until after the college entrance exam to cram driving practice.

But that would also be too slow.

Thinking of this, he looked back at Li Qingrong, secretly peeking at her.

“Class monitor, are you an adult yet?”

Hearing this, Li Qingrong couldn’t help but put down her pen and look up at him.

    “Still a few months away.”

    “Oh, oh, that’s a shame.”
