Chapter Index

The three of them hurried out of the command tower and returned to the top of the adjacent tall building.

    “Brother Li, how was it?”

Wu Bo eagerly asked Li Fubai as he approached.

“Why ask so much? Just follow me!”

Li Fubai climbed straight into his Iron Head.

Lin Chuyu and Sun Yue also quickly climbed into their mechs, and soon the three of them restarted their mechs.

Just then, Lin Chuyu suddenly noticed two Iron Heads appearing in the distance, and one of them was equipped with a DS-01 electromagnetic mechanical gun, very much like Su Ming’s.

What was worse, Lin Chuyu, from her elevated position, saw a large number of Iron Steeds appearing around Su Ming and Chen Tong, forming a circle to surround them.

“Chu Yu, what’s wrong? It’s time to go.”

Li Fubai asked when he saw Lin Chuyu staring into the distance after starting her mech.

“I saw Su Ming and them, and many Iron Steeds have appeared around them, trying to encircle them. We need to find a way to warn them.”

    Lin Chuyu calmly replied.

Li Fubai’s eyebrows immediately twitched when he heard Lin Chuyu’s words, and he looked into the distance. Soon he saw the two surrounded, and a cold smile appeared on his lips.

“Ah? How do we warn them? The Interstellar Airport is full of interference; wireless communication is completely unusable.”

Sun Yue asked with some difficulty.

    “Long-range shot!”

Lin Chuyu decisively raised the burst gun in her hand.

At this moment, Li Fubai controlled his mech, extended his hand, and grabbed the burst gun Lin Chuyu had raised, saying coldly,

“I disagree. We are not in the same team as Su Ming and them; we have no obligation to rescue them! Also, we are a team. If you fire recklessly, you will definitely alert the enemy, and then the aggro will be drawn to us, putting us in a bad situation. Our goal is to get a high score.”

“Sister Lin, Brother Li is right, we cannot take this risk.”

Wu Bo and the others all tried to persuade her.

    “I understand.”

Lin Chuyu also sighed helplessly; in a sense, Li Fubai was right.

“Let’s go quickly; it’s not safe here anymore.”

Li Fubai then controlled his mech, activated the thrusters, and jumped down from the other side of the roof.

Sun Yue, Wu Bo, and the others also controlled their mechs, taking their ground personnel, and left.

Lin Chuyu walked last. When everyone had jumped down from the rooftop, she suddenly controlled her mech to turn around, simultaneously turning on the searchlight, and flashed it towards Su Ming in the distance.

Su Ming, who was searching the airport at the time, immediately raised his head vigilantly to look towards the light source, while adjusting his optical lens to zoom in on the view.

Suddenly, Su Ming saw an Iron Head mech on top of a distant rectangular building turn off its searchlight, turn around, activate its thrusters, and jump away.

    “What’s wrong?”

Chen Tong asked Su Ming suspiciously.

“I think I saw Lin Chuyu.”

Su Ming looked at the distant building, replying with some uncertainty.

    “Where?”

Chen Tong was also surprised; they had been searching for a long time and hadn’t seen anyone, yet now Su Ming said he saw Lin Chuyu.

“Let’s go, she just left from the top of that building ahead!”

Su Ming immediately activated his auxiliary thrusters and flew towards that building.

Chen Tong quickly activated his thrusters and followed.

Soon, the two flew in front of the building. Su Ming stomped heavily, skillfully increasing the output power of his thrusters, and his bulky Iron Head mech powerfully rushed to the top and landed.

As for Chen Tong, because he didn’t control it well, his entire Iron Head mech crashed into the wall on the building’s top with a bang.

Su Ming sighed slightly, helplessly turned around, and reached out to pull Chen Tong up.

However, his entire body froze; he saw Iron Steeds and groups of mechanical spiders in the distance encircling them.

“The flying ability of this Iron Head is truly terrible.”

At this moment, Chen Tong controlled his mech, reached out to grab the eaves, and climbed up angrily, complaining to Su Ming.

However, Su Ming did not reply to Chen Tong; he asked suspiciously.

    “Why aren’t you talking?”

Su Ming’s expression changed slightly as he said,

“Run, the Iron Steeds are surrounding us.”

    “Damn it!”

Chen Tong was also startled when he heard Su Ming’s words, then turned his head to glance, and instantly broke out in a cold sweat.

The two immediately controlled their mechs to turn and rush forward, jumping down from the other side.

At this point, the encircling Iron Steeds realized they had been exposed and no longer hid, quickly chasing after Su Ming and Chen Tong.

While running, Chen Tong turned his head to look back; the encircling Iron Steeds were rapidly closing the distance and raising their left arms, embedded with concealed muzzles, aiming at Su Ming and him.

    Bang bang!

A dense barrage of bullets poured down.

“Damn it, Su Ming, they’re catching up! It seems we can’t outrun them.”

Chen Tong shouted, feeling extremely frustrated.

“Even if we can’t outrun them, we have to run. There are at least thirty Iron Steeds surrounding us, not to mention those mechanical spiders.”

Su Ming’s emotions fluctuated; he had truly been careless. He hadn’t expected the enemy to think so highly of the two of them, mobilizing so many forces to form a pocket and slowly encircle them.

If Lin Chuyu hadn’t warned him, he might have truly been trapped there.

But even so, the situation wasn’t much better; some of the bullet rain hit their mechs, sparks flying!

Red warning boxes kept popping up on their display screens.

    “Warning: Mech armor damage increasing.”

    “Damn it!”

Su Ming scanned the area ahead, his gaze immediately locking onto a cluster of buildings on the right.

He immediately said to Chen Tong,

“Run to the right side; let’s see if we can shake them off.”

    “Okay!”

Chen Tong replied, gritting his teeth.

On the other side, Li Fubai led Lin Chuyu and the others rapidly towards Central B2 Zone.

At this moment, he heard intense gunfire from far behind and a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.

If there were no accidents, that kid Su Ming should be dead. No one could survive an encirclement by so many mechs and mechanical spiders. He immediately spoke with great pleasure,

    “Speed up.”

    “Alright.”

Sun Yue and the others responded in unison.

Half an hour later, Li Fubai and the others successfully rushed into Zone B2.

Using the map he memorized in his mind, he immediately located a steel-structured hangar covering hundreds of thousands of square meters at the 3 o’clock direction.

    “That’s the hangar!”

Li Fubai excitedly controlled his mech, leading everyone towards the open hangar door. At this moment, he felt like victory was already in his grasp.

And just as they approached the open hangar door,

    Clang! Clang!

Heavy footsteps echoed from inside the hangar.

Li Fubai and the others were startled, immediately stopped, and raised their weapons towards the hangar door.

At this moment, four Iron Steeds, with glowing red eyes, walked out of the hangar door.

“Hah! I thought it was some formidable enemy, scared us for a moment.”

Sun Yue let out a long sigh of relief.

    “Destroy them!”

Li Fubai gave the order without hesitation.
