Chapter Index

Even someone like Su Ming, who frequently browsed the Star Cluster Platform, only had a partial understanding.

Teacher Ofam looked at the curious students and explained with great responsibility.

“Originally, this knowledge should be explained by the Strategic Analysis teacher, but since you are interested, I will give you a systematic explanation!”

Su Ming and the others’ eyes lit up when they saw Teacher Ofam was about to explain, and they all listened attentively.

“Originally, this universe had only one Federal Government, which is our current Federation. However, with the advent of the Interstellar Era, many conflicts and disagreements arose within the Federation. It was at this time that the dispatched exploration teams discovered two new galaxies suitable for human habitation: New Galaxy · Starlan and New Galaxy · Star Dome. At this point, the relatively radical factions within the Federal Government formed fleets and migrated to those two galaxies to settle, establishing branches of the Federal Government. From then on, the Federation was divided into one Old Federation and two new federations. It was fine like this, but after about a hundred years, the Belon family’s influence in New Galaxy · Starlan expanded rapidly. They defeated other members and established the Dark Star Empire, which seceded from the Federal Government. Seeing this, the Saint Lokus family in New Galaxy · Star Dome also annexed other members and established the Apocalypse Divine Kingdom, which also seceded from the Federal Government.”

Opham calmly explained this period of history.

“I just don’t understand, did the Federation just watch them secede? And didn’t the others know to ask for help?”

    Rhine couldn’t help but ask.

“In fact, they did ask for help, and the Federation did intervene. They immediately dispatched expeditionary legions to suppress the rebellion! However, the dispatched expeditionary forces were undoubtedly defeated. There were two reasons for the defeat: on one hand, the Federal Government had spent a lot of its resources to support their migration to the new galaxies, and the other side, by occupying the new galaxies, had extremely abundant resources. Of course, this was not the most important reason for the defeat; the most fatal issue was the distance. The reinforcing expeditionary forces actually had an advantage at first, but they couldn’t withstand the drain of time and gradually became unable to win.”

Opham briefly explained to Su Ming and the others.

Everyone sighed with emotion upon hearing this.

Opham continued to explain to everyone in a very professional manner.

“Getting back to the point, although the Dark Star Empire and the Apocalypse Divine Kingdom defeated and annexed other members, there were also some who refused to surrender. They led people away from the two new galaxies. They scattered throughout various regions of the universe; some broke away from the Federation to establish new nations, some occupied and carved out territories to form new forces, and some maintained friendly relations with the Federal Government, occupying important planets to serve as transit stars. In short, there were countless! But if we talk about the most famous, it would be the chaotic and disorderly Lost Land.”

“The Lost Land, I’ve heard of it! I heard it’s a very evil and barbaric place where people even eat other people.”

A female student said with a bit of fear.

“These are all false rumors; laypeople just listen to them. As students of Royal Court Academy, we must view things from an objective standpoint. The Lost Land is indeed full of violence and sin, but it’s not so barbaric as to involve cannibalism. If we were to describe it more accurately, using ‘black market’ would be more fitting. It’s a place where profit and power reign supreme. Alright, I won’t talk much more about that. I’ll take you to the next place.”

Opham did not overly disparage the Lost Land despite its bad reputation.

Su Ming and his classmates followed behind Opham. The introductions along the way were truly beneficial.

Just as Opham was leading them down a quiet path, the refined male student, Aid, saw two men in Royal Court Academy uniforms, holding a bouquet of flowers, walking into an inconspicuous small path. He curiously asked Opham.

“Teacher, where does that small path lead? Why are senior students going there to pay respects?”

Opham stopped and looked over, hesitating for a few seconds before saying.

    “I’ll take you to see.”

Su Ming and the others were also a bit curious about where this path led and whose tombstone was placed inside.

Before long, Su Ming and the others followed Opham to a grove of red maple trees.

They continued along the small path into the maple forest and arrived at a circular clearing.

However, there were no tombstones here; instead, there was a statue imbued with a sense of long history.

The statue depicted a young man wearing armor, holding a long spear, with a long sword at his waist, riding a handsome horse with raised hooves, and whose face was unclear.

At this moment, one of the two senior students, the one holding the flowers, was chanting very devoutly.

“Please protect us on this expedition, that we may turn misfortune into good fortune and return alive.”

Aid and the other students looked at the statue with great curiosity.

“Who is this? He doesn’t look like a modern figure, does he?”

“The statue is so old, its features are no longer clear.”

While everyone was whispering, Su Ming looked at the stone statue, his eyes revealing an incredibly shocked expression, followed by deep silence.

Opham raised his hand, gesturing for everyone to be quiet. He said calmly,

“The young man on this statue is named Haigos. Unlike the other statues in the cemetery, the person depicted is not from the old era, but a legendary figure.”

    “A legendary figure?”

Upon hearing this, everyone became even more interested. The Royal Court Academy’s cemetery actually housed a legendary figure.

“That’s right, Haigos is a figure from before the old era. Legend has it that he was incredibly powerful, leading his subordinates to conquer the world with just his long spear, and was the first to achieve the great unification of the Third Planet. Moreover, because Haigos experienced countless battles in his life and never suffered any defeat, he was also known as the God of Victory and the God of War, and thus deeply revered by a small group of people. Before they embark on an expedition, they will come here to pray, hoping to receive protection and return triumphantly.”

“Of course, Haigos’s most legendary aspect is not in military or combat. Legend says his ruling talent was exceptionally brilliant. After unifying the Third Planet, he created a perfect ideal heavenly kingdom with absolute fairness, justice, and optimal governance. It is said that during that era, the Third Planet was filled with green vitality, the environment was very beautiful, and all its people lived in peace and contentment without any worries. Therefore, he was also known as the King of Heaven and the God of Justice, deeply revered by his followers.”

    Opham said faintly.

“Wow! That’s so good, I can’t help but want to worship him.”

    “Me too.”

Angie and the other female students exclaimed with great emotion after hearing Teacher Ofam’s introduction.

However, Rhine and the others said very seriously,

“In my opinion, true powerhouses don’t need to pray for others’ protection. Because he simply cannot protect us; only being strong ourselves is the true path.”

“That’s right, it’s the Interstellar Era now, how can we be superstitious about such legendary figures?”

Su Ming listened to his classmates’ discussions, looking at the statue before him with increasing silence, a bitter smile playing on his lips.

Legends are always beautiful, but there is no such thing as a truly ideal heavenly kingdom.

But it’s normal; if even the name is passed down incorrectly, can one expect the story to be completely accurate?
