Chapter Index

“Maite, we’ll be counting on you to put in a good word for us then.”

    Beink said excitedly.

    “Of course!”

    Maite replied with a smile.

“Then we have nothing to worry about. Sir, we’re rebelling with you!”

Conner and the others shouted excitedly upon hearing this.

    “Good, haha!”

    Beink burst into laughter.

“Beink, now is not the time to celebrate. Our top priority is to deal with the Royal Court Academy personnel who are coming for the handover.”

    Maite reminded Beink.

“Don’t worry, aren’t they just a bunch of wet-behind-the-ears youngsters? I have my ways of handling them. Conner, go lead them in.”

    Beink said with great confidence.

    “Yes!”

    Conner immediately turned and left.

On the other side, Red Fang flew to the outskirts of Ge Tuosi Ge Grand Canyon.

One by one, boarding exits opened, followed by mechas flying out at high speed.

These mechas that flew out formed a formation in mid-air.

Major Gene piloted the Azure Wing Mecha to the front of everyone and spoke to all of them through the communication channel.

“Everyone, we are about to enter the rebel-controlled area. Although the Abyek Kingdom has already sent Mai Fa to negotiate, there shouldn’t be any problems normally, but everyone should still be careful.”

    “Understood.”

    Everyone responded in unison.

“All teachers, keep a close eye on your students to prevent any accidents.”

    Gene then instructed the teachers.

    “Yes!”

Tang Xuan and the others calmly replied.

    “Depart!”

Major Gene led everyone towards the canyon.

Su Ming piloted the Gun Knight, following the main force. Since his main weapon was lost, he temporarily equipped a burst rifle.

Although it wasn’t ideal, it could be used for the time being.

Soon, Major Gene led everyone to the area where the rebels had set up defenses in the canyon.

They were met by twenty towering mechas, seven meters tall, with rectangular metal shields in their left hands, heavy metal hammers in their right hands, black coating, and massive builds.

These were the classic Mecha·Brute produced by Black Flame Star, but these Brutes were all emblazoned with the rebel insignia.

Seeing so many mechas approaching, the rebels piloting these Brutes all reacted as if facing a formidable enemy, raising their metal hammers and shouting.

    “Who are you?”

Major Gene stepped forward alone and said.

“We are from Royal Court Academy. Is Mai Fa here?”

The rebels guarding the area exchanged glances but said nothing.

However, just then, a dull sound came.

The guarding Brute mechas all moved aside.

Su Ming and the others saw a group of mechas emerge. Leading them was a Third Generation Mecha·Gun Knight, followed by a Third Generation Mecha·Hercules, and a twenty-meter-tall Third Generation Mecha·Flame Rider, equipped with SCX missile cluster launchers in both hands, two large-caliber beam cannons on its shoulders, and a pair of jet wings embedded in its back.

Following them were Second Generation Mechas, but their models were very mixed, including Iron Guard, as well as Giant Force and Flame Rider.

“Mai Fa is at the Red Valley Mining Base. He asked me to welcome everyone.”

Conner said, piloting the Gun Knight.

    “You are?”

Major Gene asked with a slight frown.

“Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Conner, and I am the second-in-command of the uprising army.”

    Conner said to Major Gene.

“Please ask Mai Fa to come out.”

Major Gene said very cautiously. Vice Principal Fuleike had made it very clear that the contact person was Mai Fa.

“Ladies and gentlemen, Mai Fa has already reached an agreement with us. The supplies and personnel can be given to you. What else do you have to worry about? Please come with me.”

After Conner finished speaking, he waved his hand and turned to walk back.

Major Gene’s expression changed when he saw this, and then he led everyone to follow.

As they entered the rebel-controlled area, Su Ming’s scanning device displayed a large number of red dots, distributed on both sides of the canyon.

Su Ming piloted the Gun Knight, walking deeper with the troops while observing his surroundings.

At this moment, he saw some mecha figures on the distant canyon wall. Su Ming adjusted his optical device to zoom in and capture the image.

What came into view were mechas, twelve meters tall, wielding grid rocket launchers in both hands, with two massive cannon mouths embedded in their shoulders.

It was clear that these mechas possessed powerful long-range firepower, but their close combat capabilities were likely poor.

At this moment, a prompt popped up on the scan screen.

    “Second Generation Mecha·Fire Guard detected.”

Su Ming didn’t say anything as he looked at these Second Generation Mecha·Fire Guards.

However, as Su Ming and the others walked forward, he keenly noticed that these Fire Guard mechas also adjusted their rocket launcher muzzles to aim as they moved.

This phenomenon made Su Ming frown slightly. Of course, this didn’t explain anything.

After all, they didn’t trust each other, so it was normal for the other side not to trust them.

But as time passed, Su Ming found that Conner was leading them deeper and deeper. On the scanning device, he could see many red dots adjusting their positions, like a pocket that was closing in.

Moreover, at this moment, Su Ming noticed that some close-in defense guns set up on the right side of the rift’s rock wall were also moving their muzzles with his movement.

All these signs made him feel increasingly uneasy. Normally, after greetings, it shouldn’t be like this.

So Su Ming opened the squad communication and said to Mia.

“Mia, something feels off. I feel like they’re luring us deeper into an encirclement. If we go any further, we’ll probably be completely surrounded.”

“I also feel something is off. It seems my intuition was right.”

Mia replied somewhat surprised, she didn’t expect Su Ming to be so alert.

“So what do we do now?”

Su Ming asked in a deep voice.

“Don’t make a sound yet. I’m going to communicate with Major Gene and all the teachers now.”

    Mia said to Su Ming.

    “Okay!”

    Su Ming calmly replied.

Everyone continued to follow Conner deeper, but not long after, Major Gene’s voice sounded in their communication channel.

“Everyone listen, we might be ambushed. But don’t panic, we haven’t fully entered the encirclement yet.”

“Then what do we need to do? Should we act now?”

Lin Chuyu and the others asked one after another.

“Don’t rush to act. Everyone, prepare for battle. Those with long-range weapons, focus your fire on the Fire Guards on the canyon walls and those launchers!”

    “Understood!”

“Next, I will probe the enemy. If they reveal their intentions, we will act immediately!”

“Then, after we act, are we going to break out?”

“No! We’re going to fight our way in, because we have hundreds of hostages in their hands.”

    Major Gene said sternly.

    “Okay!”

    Many students calmly replied.

At this moment, Su Ming keenly noticed that everyone didn’t seem to fear the upcoming battle much. It seemed that the nautilus rescue mission had made everyone grow quite a bit.

At this moment, Tang Xuan and the other teachers also spoke to instruct them.

“If a fight truly breaks out, everyone must give their all. This is not a ragtag rebel army, but a well-equipped regular army.”

“Teachers, we won’t drag you down!”

    Many students responded.

    “Good! Everyone, halt your advance!”

Major Gene then issued the order.

At this moment, all the students and teachers stopped.
