Chapter Index

Rhein and the others exchanged glances with Su Ming, asking in confusion,

    “She’s not here?”

    “Not necessarily.”

Su Ming then pressed the doorbell again.

When the doorbell stopped, he continued to press it repeatedly.

Finally, on his seventh press, a stumbling sound of footsteps came from inside, followed by the door opening.

Mia appeared before them, disheveled in a red nightdress, her wavy hair tangled, eyes half-closed, and reeking of alcohol.

Rhein and the others were stunned for a moment, unsure how to begin with the words they had prepared.

Su Ming, with a massive headache, greeted her.

“Teacher, we apologize for disturbing you.”

Mia yawned, looking half-asleep, and replied,

“It’s you guys? Why are you looking for me so early in the morning?”

“Teacher, may we come in to talk?”

    Su Ming sighed and replied,

    “Come in.”

Mia walked inside, looking extremely tired.

    “Excuse us!”

Su Ming said, leading the way into the house.

However, when they entered Mia’s home, everyone’s expressions became difficult to maintain. Empty wine bottles were scattered everywhere on the floor, covered in a layer of dust.

Various dirty clothes were strewn across the sofa, and even sexy underwear could be seen. A perfectly good house was a complete mess.

Mia didn’t care about the messy house at all. She walked to the sofa, plopped down directly, tilted her head back, and said weakly,

    “Alright, what is it?”

Rhein and the others immediately looked at Su Ming. Su Ming sighed and said to Mia,

“Teacher, it’s like this: other classes have already started their supplementary lessons. We hope you can also start teaching us so that we don’t fall too far behind other classes.”

Su Ming succinctly explained the purpose of their visit.

Mia, who had been in a daze, widened her eyes upon hearing Su Ming’s words and spoke as if they were insane.

“No, it’s vacation now? Why would we have supplementary lessons?!”

“Teacher, other classes are already having them.”

Rhein couldn’t hold back and retorted directly.

“If they’re sick and insist on supplementary lessons, that’s their business! I don’t want to!”

Mia shook her head repeatedly, refusing very strongly. Are you kidding? She didn’t even want to teach when school started, let alone supplementary lessons.

“Teacher, you can’t be like this. Our grades are already not as good as the classes ahead. If we don’t start early, the gap will only widen.”

Rhein and the others were also anxious.

    “NO! I don’t want to!”

    Mia refused without hesitation.

Rhein and the others were immediately annoyed. Just as they were about to speak, Su Ming sighed, raised his hand, and stopped them, saying,

    “Stop!”

    “Class Monitor?”

Rhein and the others looked at him in confusion.

“Let me. Teacher, what do we need to do for you to be willing to start teaching us early?”

Su Ming asked Mia with a serious expression and calm tone.

Mia’s eyes lit up when she heard Su Ming’s words. She then showed a bright smile and said,

“You need to understand one thing: it’s vacation now, and I have no obligation to teach you. It’s those teachers’ business if they’re sick and like to work overtime. However, seeing how eager you are to learn, starting lessons early isn’t impossible, but I have one condition.”

“Please tell us. As long as we can do it.”

    Su Ming sighed and said.

“First, buy me a bottle of baijiu so I can gargle, and then we can talk.”

    Mia said with a chuckle.

Su Ming turned to Rhein and said,

“Rhein, go buy a bottle of alcohol. We’ll settle the cost later.”

    “Alright!”

Although Rhein felt very frustrated, there seemed to be no better option at the moment. He then turned and left to buy the alcohol.

Su Ming then said to Anqi and the other girls,

“You guys help the teacher tidy up her personal clothes. The rest of you, while waiting for the alcohol, help me clean up the house a bit.”

Su Ming really couldn’t stand it anymore; it was truly too messy.

    “Okay!”

Anqi and the others didn’t refuse; they also felt awkward.

So, everyone got to work, starting to clean Mia’s house.

“Oh, thank you for your hard work.”

Mia lay on the sofa, chuckling as she called out.

Su Ming and the others simultaneously cast a look of disdain at Mia, then silently continued cleaning.

A moment later, Su Ming and the others had tidied up the messy house. Although it wasn’t perfectly clean, it was at least presentable.

Just then, Rhein returned with a bottle of baijiu. He somewhat reluctantly handed the alcohol to Mia.

Mia quickly took it, opened the cap, and took a gulp.

The next second, Mia spat it out directly. She then placed the alcohol on the table and said with extreme disdain,

“This is so bad. I won’t drink it!”

Rhein nearly exploded with anger upon hearing that, gritting his teeth as he said,

“This bottle of alcohol cost me 2000 federal currency!”

“I don’t drink industrially synthesized alcohol; I want pure grain-brewed alcohol.”

Mia smacked her lips, saying very pickily.

Rhein and the others’ expressions turned a bit sour upon hearing Mia’s words. Natural grains are more expensive than vegetables, and alcohol brewed from natural grains would be ridiculously expensive.

Su Ming also showed a wry smile; this request was a bit excessive, but he couldn’t complain to his teacher. He could only explain calmly,

“Teacher, pure grain-brewed alcohol is too expensive. Can we lower the quality a bit?”

“No, if you want lessons, bring the alcohol!”

    Mia extended her hand, unyielding.

Seeing that Mia was completely unreasoning, Su Ming turned to Rhein and the others and asked,

“How much does a bottle of pure grain-brewed alcohol cost?”

    “200,000.”

    Rhein replied irritably.

“Alright, as you can see now, the teacher wants pure grain-brewed alcohol. We have two choices: either give up, or collectively split the cost.”

Su Ming simply asked Rhein and the others for their opinions.

Rhein and the others looked at each other. 200,000 federal currency split among 50 people in the class would be 4000 federal currency each. Although it was painful, it was barely acceptable, so they all replied,

    “Then let’s split it.”

“Okay, 4000 federal currency per person. As the Class Monitor, I’ll pay an extra 2000 federal currency. That previous bottle of alcohol counts as my personal purchase! Now, transfer all the money to Rhein, and Rhein, you go buy it.”

Su Ming decisively finalized the matter and arranged for Rhein to buy it.

Anqi and the others all transferred the money to Rhein. After collecting everyone’s money, Rhein left indignantly.

    Su Ming stood quietly, waiting.

About ten minutes later, Rhein ran back, slightly out of breath, holding a beautifully packaged bottle of baijiu.

Mia’s eyes immediately lit up when she saw the bottle of alcohol, and she cried out impatiently,

    “Quick, bring it here.”

Rhein irritably handed the alcohol to Mia.

Mia skillfully unwrapped the packaging, took out the alcohol inside, then opened the cap and took a big gulp.

“Wow, so refreshing! This is the feeling.”
