Chapter Index

At this time, at the entrance of the optical computer room.

Guards in exoskeleton armor charged in, fighting desperately.

The leading captain gasped, raised his hand, fumbled for the hidden switch, and pressed it. A keyhole popped out. He took out a mechanical key, inserted it, and then turned it.

    Click!

The optical computer door immediately opened.

They rushed in, but when they entered, they were stunned.

The entire optical computer room was quiet. The mechanical device housing Number 2 Optical Computer, Dark Star, was open, but it was empty, and the optical computer was nowhere to be found.

    Inside the virtual world.

Celes spun around, but couldn’t find Pamier’s clone for a long time.

She only found some small virus spiders, but she eliminated them all, and they dissipated into fragmented code.

Then Celes arrived at the center of the maze castle. A door, a hundred meters high and covered with circuit patterns, came into view.

Celes looked up at the door in front of her, her small face showing a look of fear and unease, and she instinctively took a step back. If nothing went wrong, Pamier should be inside.

Just as Celes was about to retreat, she stopped and muttered to herself.

“No, I can’t run away. Otherwise, Su Ming will definitely laugh at me. Celes is the best, Celes can definitely do it!”

After giving herself a pep talk, Celes gathered her courage and walked to the door.

    Swish!

The circuits on the door lit up, and then the door slowly opened.

Celes uneasily stepped inside, entering a solemn and majestic hall.

At the far end of the hall sat a black throne, and in front of the throne lay a giant virus mother spider, a hundred meters tall, with thirty-six spider eyes covering its face.

Celes became even more nervous as she looked at the giant virus mother spider in front of her.

At this moment, the giant virus mother spider opened its eyes one by one, slowly crawled up, raised its sharp spider blades, and exuded a terrifying sense of oppression.

Celes threw caution to the wind at this point, took a deep breath, plunged her sword into the ground, raised her hand, and snapped her fingers.

Immediately, countless fully armed Celes clones appeared.

Then Celes raised her sword and pointed it at the giant virus mother spider, shouting.

    “Charge!”

In an instant, a dense swarm of Celes clones, like a tide, rushed towards the giant virus mother spider.

A long time later, the giant virus mother spider lay on the ground, its belly bulging, occasionally letting out a satisfied burp.

At this moment, one of Celes’s clones climbed onto the giant virus mother spider, pried open the virus mother spider’s mouth with its hand, and jumped inside.

    Boom~

The giant virus mother spider’s belly immediately burst open, and swarms of Celes clones flew out.

Immediately after, the giant virus mother spider began to disintegrate and dissipate.

Seeing that the virus mother spider had been eliminated, Celes let out a long sigh of relief, then quickly ran to the throne, jumped onto it, and sat down.

    Inside the Starnet Monitoring Center.

Diluka was like an ant on a hot pan, cursing anxiously.

“What the hell is going on? Why haven’t the support troops cleared out those rampaging Kirami yet?”

Lin Jie and the others stood by, none daring to speak.

At this moment, the red icons on the operation screen, with a whoosh, all turned green instantly.

The piercing alarm stopped, and the electronic eyes of the out-of-control robots turned green.

The entire Xiguang Laboratory underground base began to resume normal operation.

“Lord Diluka, the invading virus has been cleared, and the system is back to normal.”

Lin Jie glanced at the recovered operation interface, shouting with excitement.

    “That’s great.”

Diluka also breathed a sigh of relief.

    Xiguang Laboratory · Underground Level 1 · Hangar 2.

Accompanied by painful wails, the V-type Lord-level Kirami was completely drained, leaving only some internal mechanical structures on the ground.

Aris, controlling Pale Apostle, retracted its tentacles, turned its head, and said to the scarred Martha, Fumson, and the garrison team.

    “Go!”

Everyone immediately controlled their mechs and ran towards the Central Laboratory.

Not long after, they arrived at the Central Laboratory.

When they saw that Lord Long Bai and Lord Blacks were fine, their tense nerves immediately relaxed, and they then spoke.

“Lord Long Bai, Lord Blacks, we are late.”

    “No matter.”

    Lord Long Bai replied calmly.

Su Ming turned to Aris and the other two, then greeted them.

    “Aris, you’re here.”

Aris turned to Su Ming, who was piloting Shadow Lord, and controlled his mech to nod slightly in response.

At this moment, Celes’s virtual image immediately appeared in front of Lord Long Bai and the others, greeting them with a cheerful smile.

    “Hi, everyone!”

    “Celes, did you finish it?”

Su Ming asked with a smile.

“Of course! Is there anything this young lady can’t handle?”

    Celes said proudly.

At this moment, Blacks asked calmly.

“Celes, did you defeat Number 2 Optical Computer, Dark Star?”

“Huh? No, I didn’t even see it. And it wasn’t in the optical computer room. Those soldiers broke into the optical computer room and found nothing.”

Celes shook her head and replied.

    “Quick, find it immediately.”

Upon hearing this, Blacks frowned and instructed Celes.

“Okay, I’ll immediately mobilize all cameras and smart machines to search.”

    Celes immediately responded.

Su Ming and the others waited quietly.

As a result, Celes searched for a long time and then said in surprise.

    “That’s strange, why can’t I find it?”

“Are you sure you can’t find it?”

Lord Long Bai and Blacks asked in a deep voice.

“Confirmed. I’ve searched the entire first underground level, and I’ve checked all surveillance equipment on the surface. I didn’t see it.”

    Celes replied, puzzled.

Lord Long Bai and Blacks exchanged glances, then their expressions changed slightly as they said.

    “Not good!”

    “Lord Long Bai, what’s wrong?”

Hecacus and the others were also startled and looked at Lord Long Bai, saying.

“It’s nothing to do with you. Su Ming, can your mech still fight?”

Lord Long Bai turned to Su Ming and asked.

“Although it’s a bit damaged, conventional combat is fine.”

    Su Ming immediately replied.

Upon hearing this, Lord Long Bai instantly activated his golden colonial armor, covering his entire body, and then said to Su Ming.

“You come with me, the others stay behind to clean up.”

    “Yes!”

Su Ming immediately opened the cockpit.

Lord Long Bai floated into the Shadow Lord’s cockpit and instructed Su Ming.

    “Go to the Transfer Hall.”

Su Ming controlled Shadow Lord to close the cockpit and rushed towards the Transfer Hall at extreme speed.

When they arrived at the Transfer Hall, Lord Long Bai directly pointed the way.

    “Passage 18.”

Su Ming followed Lord Long Bai’s instructions and soon appeared in an unremarkable metal hall.

The entire hall was empty, with nothing in it. The only peculiar thing was that the ground was paved with large, irregular black and white mechanical square bricks.

Lord Long Bai scanned it carefully and clearly saw that the dust on the ground was somewhat unusual, indicating that something had moved here.

“First row, fourth mechanical square brick.”

Lord Long Bai gave the command to Su Ming.

Su Ming controlled his mech to fly over and step on it.

“Third row, sixth mechanical square brick…”

Lord Long Bai quickly called out one position after another.

Su Ming stepped quickly, and when he stepped on the last one.

    Click!

The entire metal floor began to sink rapidly.

Su Ming was also startled and then asked.

“Lord Long Bai, are we going to the second underground level?”

    “That’s right!”

Lord Long Bai responded in a deep voice.

Soon they descended to the bottom, arriving at a giant underground hall.

The entire underground hall was constructed of black rock, with intricate patterns carved into the walls. All the lighting here used special fluorescent stones, giving it a very unique feeling.

Su Ming was also very surprised in his heart. What kind of place was this?

    “That passage ahead.”

Lord Long Bai pointed to a giant passage ahead.

Su Ming, without a word, controlled his mech and rushed towards the giant passage at high speed.

The passage along the way was cast from black alloy, giving a sense of oppression.

When Shadow Lord flew to the end, a huge square hall and a special black crystal rock door came into view. Ancient, intricate dragon patterns were carved on the door.

At this moment, AI Dark Star was embedded in a floating mechanical sphere, hovering in front of the door, constantly searching for a way to open it.

Upon hearing the movement, Dark Star turned its head to look at the pursuing Shadow Lord, and its scarlet electronic eyes immediately lit up.

    “Kill it!”

Lord Long Bai gave the cold command to Su Ming.

Su Ming, without a word, controlled Shadow Lord, gripping Dawn Spear, and charged towards Dark Star.

At this moment, Dark Star sensed danger and instantly its body exploded.

A black tumor emerged, and then its biological tissue rapidly differentiated, expanding like a balloon, extending black tentacles, forming a virus-like Kirami.

Su Ming controlled Shadow Lord to instantly close in, raising Dawn Spear and piercing through with the force of lightning.

Instantly, Dark Star deployed an AT Field Barrier!

    Crack!

Dawn Spear struck the AT Field Barrier, and the entire AT Field Barrier violently twisted.

Su Ming suddenly increased power output.

    Crack!

The entire AT Field Barrier shattered, turning into countless light particles. Dawn Spear directly pierced through Dark Star’s body, pinning it to the dark black door.

    “No…”

AI Dark Star immediately let out an unwilling roar, but its body was rapidly disintegrating and vanishing.

    “Whew~”

Su Ming looked at the dead Dark Star and let out a deep breath.

After confirming that Dark Star was completely dead, Lord Long Bai said to Su Ming.

“Take the corpse and leave here.”

    “Yes!”

Su Ming glanced at the door, then nodded in response.

Several hours later · In the Central Laboratory.

Everyone was gathered here. The internal cleanup of the laboratory was handed over to the garrison team.

At this moment, a strong, middle-aged man with sharp eyes, wearing fourth-generation colonial armor, walked up to Su Ming and greeted him very politely.

    “General Su Ming.”

Su Ming turned to look at the man in front of him and asked with some surprise.

    “You are?”

    “Aumto.”

    “Oh, oh, I’m sorry.”

“It’s fine. I’m very glad to be able to fight alongside you this time. If you have a chance to come to the Mechanical Department, I’ll personally host you!”

    Aumto said with a smile.

    “Okay.”

“My mech is damaged, I’ll be leaving first!”

    “Take care.”

    Su Ming replied politely.

    Aumto then turned and left.

At this moment, Celes, in a very good mood, flew back and forth in front of Su Ming and the others, saying proudly.

“See? This young lady is the best.”

“Okay, okay, okay, Miss Celes is the best, is that enough?”

Su Ming replied with a smile.

At this moment, Dr. Diluka’s expression changed, and he said to Celes.

“Celes, come back. You will be responsible for the security of Xiguang Laboratory again.”

Celes was also stunned when she heard Diluka’s words, and then she reacted and replied.

“No, no, I don’t want to come back!”

Xiguang Laboratory is now a bomb that could be invaded at any time, and it simply cannot defend against Pamier. Although the laboratory has various countermeasures, once it’s not defended well, it’s over.

She didn’t want to come back, and it was much more comfortable to follow Su Ming.

“No, why are you still acting like a child? This is your responsibility.”

Diluka said with a stern face.

    “I don’t want to.”

Celes looked at Su Ming pitifully.

Su Ming frowned. He hadn’t expected Dr. Diluka to want to take Celes back. But it was normal, after all, Celes was more reliable.

“I think Celes should stay with me. I can’t pilot a V-type biological mech without her.”

Su Ming took a deep breath and said.

Diluka and the others all looked at Lord Long Bai.

Seeing Su Ming speak, Lord Long Bai said indifferently.

“Celes alone can’t defend against it, and it won’t be of much use. The top priority now is to perfect all optical computers and activate multiple optical computers for combined defense.”

    “Yes!”

Seeing Lord Long Bai say so, Diluka couldn’t refute.

    “Oh yeah!”

Celes was very happy to hear this.

Su Ming also showed a slight smile.

At this moment, a heavy footsteps sounded, and Su Ming and the others turned to look. They saw a burly man, two meters three tall, with a tiger’s waist and a bear’s back, wearing fourth-generation heavy colonial armor, and a rugged face with stubble, walking over with a group of subordinates.

“Lord Long Bai, all Kirami inside Xiguang Laboratory have been cleared.”

    “Hecacus, you did very well.”

    Lord Long Bai said calmly.

    “It’s my duty.”

Hecacus replied in a deep voice.

“Have your people withdraw from Xiguang Laboratory and be responsible for the perimeter security. The mission will end when Xiguang Laboratory resumes operation.”

Lord Long Bai arranged for Hecacus.

    “Yes!”

    Hecacus responded respectfully.

    “Everyone, you may disperse!”

Lord Long Bai then turned to the crowd and announced.

    “Mmm.”

    Everyone responded one after another.

A moment later, Su Ming and Lord Long Bai walked out of Xiguang Laboratory.

Su Ming quietly walked beside Lord Long Bai, the atmosphere a bit subtle.

At this moment, Lord Long Bai broke the silence and instructed Su Ming.

“Everything you saw on the second underground level today must be kept secret. Don’t mention it to anyone.”

    “Understood.”

    Su Ming nodded in response.

He was actually very curious about what was behind the door, but since Lord Long Bai had said so, Su Ming wouldn’t be foolish enough to ask. Sometimes, the more you know, the faster you die. But then again, Xiguang Laboratory really hides a lot of secrets.

“Mmm, you did very well in rescuing Xiguang Laboratory this time. The corresponding rewards will be settled for you later.”

    “Thank you, Lord Long Bai.”

    Su Ming replied respectfully.

“Alright, you can go back and rest.”

Lord Long Bai said to Su Ming.

    “Yes!”

Su Ming stopped and responded respectfully.

Lord Long Bai also left directly.

    The next day at noon.

Royal Court Academy Interstellar Airport · Fallen Light room.

Su Ming lay on the bed, browsing the Star Cluster Forum, which was filled with posts about Starlight City raising a Level 1 alert.

“It was too scary. What exactly happened yesterday?”

“I don’t know. The officials haven’t specifically clarified it. I just heard a rumor that Kirami invaded.”

“How could there be Kirami in Starlight City?”

“It seems they escaped from Sector S.”

“What the heck, isn’t S-Zone the Xiguang Laboratory?”

“Yeah, I heard a lot of people died. Yesterday, Starlight City’s Central Hospital was locked down and stopped admitting regular patients.”

“Quick, look at the latest announcement post, something big happened!”

Su Ming scrolled to this point, then swiped up the interface, only to see a new announcement post pinned to the homepage.

Federal Government Joint Council Public Announcement.

“In old era 4621, August 3rd, the Federal Government held an emergency joint meeting. Baikedi and 136 other council members jointly impeached the biological department of Xiguang Laboratory, accusing their developed biological mechs of being extremely dangerous and unstable, posing a significant hidden danger, and demanded the cessation of the project’s development and the destruction of related products.”

“In old era 4621, August 3rd, the Federal Government held an emergency joint meeting. The Federal Ministry of Finance issued a financial warning, proposing a bill to cut military spending.”

Su Ming’s heart sank to the bottom as he read the announcement content.

As expected, the post-incident accountability had arrived. Although they had controlled the situation at the first instance yesterday, suppressing most of the rampaging biological mechs in S-Zone, some battles still spread to adjacent areas, causing casualties among ordinary personnel.

However, what surprised Su Ming the most was not the impeachment of the Xiguang Laboratory, but the proposal to cut military spending. The Federation was currently at war with Dark Star and Apocalypse Divine Kingdom. At this critical juncture, only a fool would propose cutting military spending; even with a financial deficit, they would hold on stubbornly. Therefore, there was only one possibility for this situation: an extremely large financial deficit, on the verge of collapse, and they simply couldn’t cover it anymore.

If this were truly the case, then it would be a huge problem.

    Buzz~

Suddenly, Su Ming’s wristband vibrated, and a message popped up.

“Dear General Su Ming, due to your outstanding performance in the Xiguang Laboratory defense battle, you are hereby awarded 6000 military merits.”

Su Ming was a little surprised looking at the settlement information; Lord Long Bai’s efficiency was indeed high.

At this moment, another message suddenly popped up, with only one word in its content.

    “Good!”

This message was sent by Irelia Senior.

Su Ming stared at the message, completely stunned, his mind unable to process it for a moment.

What did this ‘Good’ word mean?

He then came to his senses and immediately scrolled up to review the chat history, realizing that the last message he sent to Irelia after the Haunted Star event ended was:

“Irelia Senior, are you free? If you’re not busy, I’d like to treat you to a meal.”

After reviewing the messages, Su Ming’s expression was quite something. A message replied to almost a year later, how was he supposed to respond?

Thinking of this, Su Ming also found himself in a dilemma. He thought carefully for a while and finally decided to respond cooperatively.

“Senior, you finally replied! Where are you?”

“I’m back in Starlight City for vacation.”

“What a coincidence, I’m also in Starlight City. How about we have lunch together? Is there anything you’d like to eat?”

    “Anything is fine.”

    Irelia replied.

Su Ming thought for a moment and then replied.

“Then let’s go to Golden Light Street. There’s a restaurant called Starbank there that’s quite good. I’ll send you the location.”

    “See you tonight.”

    Irelia quickly responded.

Su Ming immediately got out of bed and walked towards the bathroom.

    In the evening.

On Golden Light Street, a hover-taxi stopped by the roadside. Su Ming opened the car door and stepped out, looking up.

A luxurious restaurant came into view. The restaurant’s exterior walls were embedded with star stones of different colors, making it very beautiful. At the entrance stood two rows of tall, elegant receptionists.

Su Ming originally wanted to pick any random place, but then thought it might not be appropriate, so he chose a better one.

    “Welcome.”

The tall receptionists greeted him respectfully.

Su Ming walked straight into the Starbank restaurant. At this moment, a handsome man in a tuxedo with a black bow tie approached him. “Sir, I am Manager Liang An of Starbank Restaurant. Do you have a reservation?”

“No, do you have a private room?”

“I apologize, sir, we don’t have private rooms without a reservation, but there are still seats in the main hall.”

“The main hall will do then.”

    Su Ming nodded in reply.

    “This way, please!”

Liang An led Su Ming to a table by the window.

After Su Ming took his seat, he said to Liang An.

“You can go down first. We’ll order when the other person arrives.”

    “Understood, sir.”

    Liang An respectfully withdrew.

Su Ming raised his wristband and checked the time. There were still over twenty minutes until the appointed time, so he waited patiently.

At this moment, at a nearby table, several girls kept glancing towards Su Ming’s direction, whispering among themselves.

Then, a fair-skinned, beautiful, and cheerful girl mustered her courage and walked over with her other friends.

“Excuse me, are you Senior Su Ming?”

Su Ming was also startled and looked at the unfamiliar girl in front of him, replying.

    “Yes, and you are?”

“Senior Su Ming, I am Tang Yuxi, a first-year medical student from Royal Court Academy. I’ve heard about you for a long time, Senior! You’re a legend at our school, promoted to general in your second year!”

Tang Yuxi said with great admiration.

    “Yes, it’s truly amazing.”

The friends behind Tang Yuxi echoed excitedly.

    “Thank you for the compliment.”

Su Ming replied somewhat awkwardly. He hadn’t expected to become famous at school while he was out.

“Um, Senior, can we take a picture with you?”

Tang Yuxi asked Su Ming with anticipation.

“I apologize, I’m not very convenient right now. I’m waiting for someone.”

    Su Ming replied apologetically.

He was waiting for Irelia and really didn’t want any other complications.

“Senior, who are you waiting for? Are you waiting for your girlfriend?”

    “You have a girlfriend?”

Tang Yuxi and the others asked with great curiosity.

Su Ming felt a headache coming on. As expected, it had devolved into this.

At this moment, a clear, cold voice sounded from behind him.

“Junior Su Ming, do you have an appointment?”

Hearing the voice, Su Ming quickly turned around to look. He saw Irelia wearing a light blue top, a white skirt, a scarf tied around her fair neck, and light purple hair draped over her shoulders, exuding an elegant and dignified aura in her demeanor.

“No, these are just some junior students eating nearby.”

Su Ming quickly stood up and explained.

“I see. Then, could you please make way, junior students?”

Irelia politely said to Tang Yuxi and the others.

    “Okay.”

Seeing that the main person had arrived, Tang Yuxi and the others awkwardly left.

Su Ming then walked to the opposite side of the table, pulled out a chair, and gentlemanly said to Irelia.

    “Senior, please have a seat.”

    “Thank you.”

Irelia then walked forward and sat down, taking off her scarf and placing it aside.

Su Ming raised his hand and waved at Manager Liang An.

Soon, Manager Liang An walked over and respectfully asked.

“Sir, Miss, are you ready to order?”

“Yes, Senior, is there anything you’d like to eat?”

Su Ming smiled as he asked Irelia.

“Just a few of the better signature dishes here will do.”

    Irelia replied simply.

“Then, Senior, would you like anything to drink?”

    Su Ming then asked.

    “Just plain water is fine.”

    Irelia replied indifferently.

“Manager Liang, please help us with that.”

Su Ming turned to Manager Liang An and instructed.

“Understood, I’ll go place the order now.”

    Manager Liang An respectfully withdrew.

Soon, several exquisite dishes were served.

    “Please!”

Su Ming gentlemanly invited Irelia to dine.

    “Mm!”

Irelia picked up her chopsticks, took a piece of green vegetable, put it in her mouth, and slowly began to chew.

Su Ming also secretly observed Irelia’s expression and keenly noticed that she seemed to be in a bad mood, so he proactively asked.

“Senior, how have you been lately?”

    “I’m doing well, and you?”

“Of course, I’m also doing well, it’s just…”

    “Just what?”

Irelia looked at Su Ming with interest.

Su Ming’s eyes flickered for a moment, then he said helplessly.

“Oh, actually, it’s nothing much, it’s just that I don’t have a captain now, and I’ve been worrying about this recently.”

“How come you don’t have a captain? I remember you had a female captain, and she commanded quite well?”

    “Cough cough, she ran away.”

“Ran away? Did you do something to her?”

    Irelia asked somewhat unexpectedly.

“No, absolutely not, she just had family matters and had to leave.”

“That excuse isn’t very good, is it?”

    “I know.”

Su Ming replied with a wry smile, feeling like he was only making things worse.

“So what are you planning to do now?”

    Irelia asked with great interest.

“I originally wanted to find another captain, but it’s really hard to find one. The good ones are hard to poach, and I don’t like the bad ones.”

“That’s normal, captains aren’t that easy to find.”

“Um, Senior, why don’t you come and be my captain?”

Su Ming said with a teasing smile.

Upon hearing this, Irelia almost dropped her chopsticks.

Then she raised her head, looked at Su Ming, and said.

“I apologize, I’m really too busy and unable to serve as a captain. However, as a friend, if you need me, I can still help you with some part-time commanding.”

“That would be too kind. I’ll toast you.”

Su Ming picked up his water and said.

The two clinked glasses and took a sip of water.

At this moment, Su Ming’s wristband suddenly vibrated, and a message popped up.

Su Ming lowered his head to look. Seeing it was from Lieutenant General Jon, he quickly put down his glass and opened the message.

“Su Ming, come quickly to the Underworld Moon Defense Line to help. We’re only messaging you because we have no other choice. We had already set sail, but those foolish women from Rainy City actually let the Apocalypse Divine Kingdom’s forces bypass us from the rear and ambush us, blocking us right back. Now things are really troublesome.”

Su Ming’s mouth twitched slightly as he read the message.

    “Junior Su Ming, what’s wrong?”

Irelia asked, looking at Su Ming.

Su Ming dismissed the message and looked up at Irelia. Just as he was about to speak, his mind suddenly stirred, and he tentatively began to say.

“Alas, the fleet heading to support Tidal Star Sea was ambushed and forced to retreat to the Underworld Moon Defense Line. And the one responsible for this support mission is my old friend. I have to go help them. But I don’t have a captain right now. Senior, can you help me command?”

    “Okay.”

Irelia’s brows furrowed slightly upon hearing Su Ming’s words, but then she immediately agreed.

Su Ming was dumbfounded upon hearing Irelia’s words.

He had only asked tentatively. Normally, Irelia should be extremely busy and unable to get away, but he hadn’t expected her to actually agree?

“Junior Su Ming, is there a problem?”

Irelia asked with a smile, seeing Su Ming frozen there.

“No problem. Then, without further ado, let’s quickly return to the ship.”

Su Ming came to his senses, stood up, and said.

    “Okay!”

    Irelia nodded in agreement.

    Fallen Light’s command room.

Rhine, Ankajia, and others stood there chatting listlessly.

“Sigh, now that Timmy’s gone, it feels like we’re crippled.”

“Isn’t the boss looking for someone?”

“He is, but I asked him the other day, and it doesn’t look promising!”

Rhine shook his head and replied.

Just then, Su Ming entered with Irelia, clapped his hands, and called out.

    “Everyone, come over here.”

Rhine and the others heard Su Ming’s call and gathered around.

“Let me introduce you all, this is Irelia Senior.”

Su Ming formally introduced her to everyone.

“Irelia Senior? The senior who commanded during the Three School League?”

Rhine and the others asked in shock.

“That’s right. She will temporarily serve as our captain and commander. Everyone must actively cooperate, and absolutely no pretense of compliance. Her orders are my orders.”

Su Ming said to Rhine and the others sternly.

    “Yes!”

Rhine and the others’ expressions became serious, and they replied in unison.

“It’s a pleasure to be your commander. I hope you all will cooperate well in the future.”

Irelia smiled as she spoke to Rhine and the others.

    “Absolutely.”

Rhine and the others replied very happily.

“There’s one more thing. General Feilong and his troops were attacked on their way to support Tidal Star Sea. They have now retreated to the Underworld Moon Defense Line, and we need to go and provide support.”

Su Ming said to Rhine and the others.

    “Yes.”

Rhine and the others were also startled.

“Irelia will arrange the next steps.”

After Su Ming finished speaking, he stepped aside.

Irelia looked at Rhine and the others and said calmly.

“Our support mission this time will likely require a long voyage, so we must make full preparations before departure. Who is in charge of logistics?”

    “Me, my name is O’Neill.”

O’Neill stepped forward and replied fawningly.

“O’Neill, give me a detailed data sheet of the ship’s status and supplies. Hand it to me later.”

    Irelia said to O’Neill.

    “No problem.”

    O’Neill immediately agreed.

“Rhine, compile a list of all combat personnel and provide it to me as a document.”

    Irelia then instructed Rhine.

    “Understood.”

    Rhine immediately agreed.

“Unless there are any special circumstances, we will depart tomorrow morning. Everyone, quickly complete your pre-war preparations.”

    Irelia then said to everyone.

    “Yes!”

Rhine and the others replied solemnly.
