Chapter Index

Half an hour later, Mia yawned and asked casually,

“Have you seen enough? Who among you wants to come out and fight me?”

    “Me!”

Rhine was the first to step forward. Since he started this, how could he be left out?

    “Alright, that’s one. Anyone else?”

Mia immediately showed a little interest.

    “I’ll join too!”

Angel stepped forward without any hesitation. Despite her quiet demeanor, she showed no indecisiveness.

    “Count me in!”

At this moment, a tall, black-haired, beautiful, and very elegant girl stepped forward.

Su Ming looked at Angel and Elu with a slight surprise. The girls in the class were quite outstanding; two of them stepped forward at once.

    “Count me in too!”

    Zhang Yi also stepped forward.

    “There’s still one more missing!”

    Mia said with a smile.

Rhine then turned his head and shouted to Su Ming,

    “Class Monitor, you come too!”

    “Okay!”

Su Ming did not refuse; he also wanted to spar with Mia and see her skill level.

“Very good, I’ll let you choose your Mecha first!”

Mia said to Su Ming and the others with a smile.

    “Teacher, don’t you regret it!”

Rhine walked directly towards the Brute.

    “I choose Iron Head.”

Angel turned to Su Ming and the others, which was also a roundabout way of asking for their opinion.

Although there were ten Mecha here, each model was different. And since each person’s preferred Mecha type was limited, they had to mention it when choosing a general-purpose model.

However, Su Ming and the others had no objections, and then Zhang Yi also spoke.

    “Then I choose the Predator.”

Su Ming followed Zhang Yi’s gaze and saw a six-meter-tall Mecha, modeled after an insect, with a pair of flexible mechanical jet wings embedded in its back, holding a long spear.

From its structure, this Mecha should be good at flying and surprise attacks.

“Class Monitor, what do you choose?”

Elu looked at Su Ming and asked politely.

Su Ming pondered for a moment. He was more familiar with Iron Head. However, Iron Head had already been taken, and he had not operated any of the remaining Mecha. But he had previously operated the Third Generation Mecha·Gun Knight.

Gun Knight and Iron Steed were Mecha of the same system, so their operating system and mode should normally be similar.

Thinking of this, Su Ming said to Elu,

    “I’ll choose Iron Steed.”

“Okay, then I’ll choose the Assassin.”

Elu looked at a smaller Mecha, holding two metal short swords in its hands, with a gray paint job.

    “Alright, it’s settled then.”

Su Ming and the others assigned their Mecha and walked towards their respective machines.

As they approached the Mecha, they instantly felt a floating force rising from below, and they were directly lifted into the air, flying to the position of the Mecha’s cockpit.

Su Ming and the others were also very surprised. Anti-gravity suspension equipment, truly luxurious.

However, they couldn’t dwell on that now. They swiftly opened the Mecha cockpits and climbed inside.

Su Ming sat in the driver’s seat, closed the cockpit, and scanned the control panel.

The result was exactly as he had expected; the control panel was very similar to the Gun Knight, but simpler, without as many complex buttons, and the material was several grades lower.

However, Su Ming didn’t care about these. He activated the safety buckle and quickly started Iron Steed.

As the power unit emitted a roar, Iron Steed’s eyes lit up.

At this moment, Rhine, Angel, and the other four also started their Mecha simultaneously.

Su Ming glanced at them, secretly praising in his heart, ‘As expected of students who can get into Royal Court Academy, even students from the regular class have excellent combat skills, and their Mecha start-up speed is so fast.’

“Not bad! Now it’s my turn.”

Mia smiled, then walked towards the Infiltrator.

Su Ming watched Mia choose the Infiltrator, his eyes subtly shifting. As he expected, Mia would definitely choose an agile Mecha.

“Alright, let’s start changing weapons. Pick whatever you want!”

Mia activated the Infiltrator Mecha and walked to the weapon rack. She swapped the metal blade in her hand for a lighter metal short sword.

Su Ming also controlled Iron Steed to walk to the weapon rack. He swapped the weapon in his hand for a metal long spear.

Mia glanced at Su Ming, who was changing weapons, then controlled her Mecha to walk to the center of the arena and stand there.

Rhine and the other four had no intention of changing their weapons, as the Mecha’s original weapons were often more suitable for their use.

So, the five of them also controlled their Mecha to walk to Mia’s opposite side.

    “Go for it!”

    “You must defeat her.”

Mandy and the other classmates excitedly shouted to Su Ming and the five others.

    “Come on, little rookies!”

Mia provocatively raised the metal short sword in her hand, pointing it at Su Ming and the five others, and spoke disdainfully.

    “Let’s go!”

Rhine’s anger completely ignited. He controlled Brute, charging forward like a wild beast directly towards Mia.

Of course, Rhine wasn’t blinded by anger. The reason he foolishly attacked Mia head-on was to attract fire and create opportunities for the others.

Elu controlled Assassin with full power, charging towards Mia from the left flank, while Angel controlled Iron Head to make a surprise attack from the right flank. Zhang Yi, controlling Predator, activated its mechanical jet wings and moved at high speed to get behind Mia.

As for Su Ming, he controlled Iron Steed to stand still, showing no intention of joining the encirclement.

This wasn’t a battlefield, so Su Ming wanted to observe his opponent’s fighting style first to find a way to defeat her.

    “Interesting!”

Mia was still in the mood to tease while facing the encirclement of Rhine and the other four.

    “Die!”

Rhine closed in first, swinging his metal hammer down towards Mia.

Mia controlled her Mecha to tilt, and the metal hammer missed, smashing into the ground!

    “Your aim isn’t very good.”

Mia said, mocking with a smile.

Rhine was so furious his lungs felt like they would explode, and his body was trembling. He used to be a prodigy at the academy; when had he ever been mocked like this?

At this moment, Elu, controlling Assassin, closed in, her metal short swords sharply thrusting towards Mia. Simultaneously, Zhang Yi, controlling Predator Mecha, launched a high-speed surprise attack from behind.

As a result, Mia skillfully controlled her frog-shaped Mecha to jump up, not only dodging Elu’s attack but also striking at Rhine.

Rhine was startled and instinctively raised his metal shield to block, but Mia controlled her Mecha to step on the metal shield.

Rhine’s entire Mecha immediately knelt down. Mia used the force to leap a second time, flipping in mid-air and perfectly dodging Zhang Yi’s attack.

And not only that, Zhang Yi, having lost his target due to inertia, charged directly towards Rhine. He was horrified and shifted the long spear in his hand, shouting at the same time,

    “Get out of the way!”

Rhine was also startled, but before he could react,

    Bang ~

The two Mecha collided head-on, both falling to the ground.

Mia landed lightly, watching the scene with an uncontrollable smile.

    “Haha!”

At this moment, Iron Head, controlled by Angel, attacked from the right flank. She swung her red metal mechanical blade at Mia.
