Chapter 121 Death (Update 1)
by SunflowerMia no longer cared about Rhine and the others; she looked down at the timer in her hand, which showed 29 minutes and 12 seconds.
When the timer reached 30 minutes,
Su Ming stopped struggling in the training pool and remained motionless, submerged in the water.
“The squad leader isn’t moving? He’s dead!”
Angie screamed in terror.
Rhine and the others were also stunned, not knowing what to say.
“Shut up, what ‘dead’? He’s not going to die!”
Mia snapped at everyone, simultaneously pressing the timer to restart it!
In fact, this training pool was specially designed for super nerve connection training; the liquid inside was specially formulated and could not drown people.
After a person was submerged in it for thirty minutes, their body would reach its limit and enter a super nerve connection state. Of course, it was not ruled out that they might not enter it, but instead enter a state of drowning coma.
At this moment, Su Ming’s consciousness was in a dark abyss, continuously sinking.
“Where is this?”
“Such a familiar feeling?”
“Am I dead?”
Su Ming was very confused, these questions constantly replayed in his mind.
Just then, the timer in Mia’s hand jumped to 30 seconds, and she immediately squatted down, pulling Su Ming out of the training pool with one hand.
The reason Mia had to pull Su Ming out within 30 seconds was simple: she couldn’t tell if Su Ming had entered a super-nerve state or a drowning coma.
To prevent Su Ming from suffering brain death, she pulled him out.
Mia then pressed her hands on Su Ming’s abdomen, pressing hard twice.
“Pfft~”
Su Ming immediately spat out viscous green liquid, coughing violently, a look of extreme pain on his face.
“Squad leader, are you alright?”
Angie and the others stepped forward, concerned.
“I’m fine, what happened to me?”
Su Ming asked, his mind somewhat dazed.
Rhine and the others were speechless, not knowing how to answer Su Ming, as the culprit was still present.
At this moment, Mia pulled Su Ming up with one hand, then eagerly asked,
“Su Ming, when you passed out, did you still have consciousness in your mind?”
“Uh? Yes, it was very clear?”
Su Ming was stunned for a moment, then answered truthfully.
Upon hearing Su Ming’s answer, Mia was ecstatic, then slapped him on the back.
“Excellent!”
Su Ming stumbled and directly fell back into the training pool.
“Squad leader!”
Rhine and the others were startled and quickly rushed over to pull Su Ming out.
“Teacher, you’re not going to do that again, are you?”
Angie and the others asked uneasily.
“No, a mistake! Haha!”
Mia said excitedly, and it was no wonder she was so flustered. Su Ming was the second student in Royal Court Academy’s history to enter a super-nerve state on his first training session.
As for the first student to achieve this, he was now a Federal General, Sigrid, the man known as the ‘Frequent Visitor of Hell’.
She had truly found a treasure this time!
“Teacher, what are you doing?”
Su Ming helplessly climbed out of the training pool, looking at Mia with a bewildered expression.
Mia then coughed, suppressing the wild joy in her heart, and lazily said to Su Ming,
“Nothing, my hand just slipped!”
“Really?”
Rhine and the others looked unconvinced.
“What ‘really’? Why aren’t you all going back to continue your training?”
Mia scolded them impatiently.
Hearing Mia’s words, Rhine and the others could only return to their training pools and continue their breath-holding exercises.
After Su Ming caught his breath for a while, he was about to get back into the training pool when
Mia said to him,
“You rest for twenty minutes, then continue training!”
“Okay.”
Su Ming nodded.
Several hours later, Mia checked the time, saw it was almost dawn, and clapped her hands, shouting to everyone,
“That’s enough training for today. Go to the changing room to change your clothes. Remember to wash them thoroughly and fold them neatly!”
“Oh!”
Everyone’s faces showed a strange expression after hearing Mia’s words.
However, they didn’t say much, just one by one climbed out of the training pool and silently walked towards the changing room.
Soon after, Mia and Su Ming and the others left the training room, closing the door behind them.
At this moment, on the smooth wall inside the training room, an invisible door opened, and an old man with white hair and wrinkled face, dressed in Royal Court Academy management uniform, walked out with his hands behind his back.
He looked at the messed-up training pool and sighed helplessly.
“Sigh!”
Outside the training building, Mia led Su Ming and the others out. She yawned and waved her hand, saying,
“No classes during the day, you’re free. If you want to catch up on sleep, go back and do so. Everyone disperse!”
“Okay.”
Angie and the others replied.
After Mia finished giving instructions, she turned and left.
Once Mia was far away, Rhine and the others gathered around Su Ming and whispered,
“Squad leader, you must be careful lately!”
“Why?”
Su Ming looked at them, puzzled.
“Teacher Mia is targeting you. It must be because you touched her during the last battle, which made her feel embarrassed. During the training just now, she kept pressing you down, not letting you come up!”
Rhine said in a low voice.
“That’s right, we tried to stop her, but she wouldn’t let us!”
Zhang Yi said to Su Ming, still feeling lingering fear.
Hearing this, Su Ming pondered for a moment and replied,
“I understand.”
Seven days later, in the middle of the night.
Su Ming and the others, wearing foot covers, gathered in a secluded corner of the school, waiting for Teacher Mia.
For these seven days, under Teacher Mia’s guidance, they had been secretly sneaking into the training room every night for special training.
“Squad leader, do you feel like something’s off with your body?”
Rhine asked Su Ming in a hushed voice.
“Off? What’s off?”
Su Ming looked at Rhine, slightly surprised, and asked.
“My head! I’ve clearly felt exceptionally good mentally lately, my memory is off the charts, and I feel completely refreshed!”
Rhine replied, somewhat uncertainly.
Zhang Yi, who was nearby, heard this and also chimed in,
“Me too! I feel like I’ve become smarter.”
“Yeah, I feel especially energetic!”
“Could it be those training liquids?”
Su Ming replied thoughtfully; he also felt his mental state had improved a lot recently, but he hadn’t paid much attention to it before.
“Very likely.”
Zhang Yi and the others agreed.
Rhine hesitated for a moment, then spoke,
“Actually, I recently asked around about that training room.”
“What did you find out?”
Su Ming and the others looked at Rhine curiously.
“That’s not an ordinary training room; it’s a training room specifically for upperclassmen, and it’s also paid, and I heard the fees are extremely high!”
Rhine explained to Su Ming and the others.
“No way, then if we keep sneaking in to use it and the school finds out, aren’t we doomed?”
Zhang Yi swallowed with difficulty.
“That’s right, we’ve been secretly using it every day?”
Shi Wushan and the others were also in a panic.
