Chapter 146: Senior (First Update)
by SunflowerThey could only regretfully sit next to Su Ming.
By then, the auditorium was becoming increasingly crowded.
Looking at the bustling auditorium, Rhein leaned closer to Su Ming and whispered,
“Class Monitor, aren’t you excited?”
“Not really, stay calm.”
Su Ming replied indifferently; to be honest, it would be a lie if he wasn’t excited.
Just then, the students present stirred, and many stood up, waving excitedly towards the entrance.
“Senior!”
Su Ming and the others curiously turned their heads to look.
Through the main entrance walked a girl with short red hair, wearing a third-generation exoskeleton armor called ‘Blaze,’ looking heroic and spirited.
“Who is that?”
Su Ming was a little curious, seeing how popular the girl entering was.
At this moment, Rhein, sitting on Su Ming’s other side, excitedly introduced her.
“That’s Senior Aquia, a prominent figure in the third-year inner school, incredibly strong. I heard that when she was at school, she once defeated a teacher from another school. Now, she seems to be serving on Planet Monriska, I didn’t expect the school to call her back.”
“Not bad.”
Su Ming praised her sincerely after hearing Rhein’s words. After all, he was aiming for the prize money; if their side wasn’t strong enough, he would be very passive.
As they were talking, another group of students stood up, excitedly shouting towards the main entrance.
Su Ming followed everyone’s gaze and saw two people entering.
One of them was Urga, the third-year student who had been widely discussed online. He wore a captain’s military uniform, looked composed, had sharp eyes, and a shocking scar on his neck.
Beside Urga was a man wearing glasses, looking refined and gentle, with a smile on his lips. He kept waving to the many junior students.
“Who is that person next to Urga?”
Su Ming curiously asked Rhein.
Rhein introduced him to Su Ming.
“Senior Bila Duo, a third-year inner school student from the command department, known as ‘Ghost Hand.’ He excels at surprise attack command. Could he be the commander this time?”
“Hard to say, after all, no fourth-year seniors have shown up yet.”
Su Ming wasn’t too sure either.
“Yeah, people are almost all here, why haven’t the fourth-year students arrived yet? Did the school not arrange for them?”
Rhein and the others were also a bit anxious, as those three fourth-year seniors were the main event.
Just then, the scene suddenly erupted, and students excitedly shouted,
“Look, who’s here!”
Su Ming and the others turned their heads to look, only to see a brawny man, two meters three tall, wearing a fourth-generation grey colonial armor, with a powerful physique and a rugged face, walking steadily through the door.
“Holy cow, isn’t that Major Olivert, known as the’Savage Bear’? So he’s a fourth-year student at Royal Court Academy.”
Rhein said in astonishment.
Su Ming’s eyes flickered. Major Olivert was also very famous; he had seen information about him several times on the Star Cluster Forum’s news section.
“This is truly exciting! I wonder who the remaining two fourth-year seniors will be?”
Zhang Yi and the others became even more excited.
Olivert, who had just entered, did not find a seat but walked directly along the aisle to the main podium. As he stood there, the students, who had been somewhat worried, immediately felt a great weight lifted from their minds, and everyone patiently waited.
About half an hour later, the hidden spotlights on the auditorium ceiling suddenly all turned on, shining towards the main entrance.
Thousands of students in the audience looked back simultaneously, only to see a young man appear at the main entrance, wearing a lieutenant colonel’s military uniform, with golden hair, handsome features, and gemstone earrings, carrying himself with a dashing demeanor.
In an instant, the students in the auditorium completely erupted, shouting excitedly,
“Begfins!”
“Wow! This is going to be a fight, haha! They called the student council president back.”
Rhein and the others said ecstatically.
“Begfins is our school’s student council president? I haven’t heard any information about that online.”
Su Ming said in surprise.
“That’s normal, he doesn’t need to mention it. You know, he’s a rising star in the military, achieving the rank of lieutenant colonel at 25, hailed as the most likely candidate to become a general, and he’s my idol. This is my first time seeing him in person.”
Rhein was so excited he couldn’t close his mouth.
“Hello, everyone!”
Begfins elegantly waved to the crowd and walked onto the podium under everyone’s gaze.
“You’re late.”
Olivert greeted Begfins in a deep voice.
“Bear with me, I was about to depart for the Tam Transit Star, but I had to turn back temporarily. My original plan was to return two years later, when I would be promoted to fifth-year.”
Begfins said to Olivert with a smile.
“Hmm, didn’t Vice Principal Fuleike say he recalled three people in total? Who’s the other one? Our lineup doesn’t seem quite right.”
Olivert looked at Begfins and said.
Both he and Begfins were from the mecha combat department. While they could oversee everything, it felt like something was missing.
“I’m not sure about that. Vice Principal Fuleike didn’t explain it clearly to me either. But I think the person should be arriving soon, and I’m also curious which friend will be returning.”
Begfins replied calmly.
Just then, the spotlights in the auditorium moved again, gathering like starlight at the entrance.
Suddenly, everyone in the entire auditorium focused their gaze there.
A tall, elegant girl with light purple hair, wearing a major’s military uniform, gracefully walked in. Her hair flowed smoothly over her shoulders, and on her exquisite, beautiful face, a pair of purple eyes were deep and lovely. Her skin was as white as snow, delicate and smooth, seemingly radiating a faint glow under the lights.
“Who is this senior?”
“Not sure, I haven’t seen her in the daily reports circulated in the academy.”
The students present whispered among themselves.
Begfins and Olivert showed surprised expressions when they saw the girl before them.
“Irelia!”
At this moment, Irelia walked onto the podium under everyone’s gaze and politely greeted them.
“Begfins, Olivert, long time no see.”
“Indeed, it’s been a long time. This is truly unexpected today. Since you started serving years ago, I haven’t heard anything about you. I didn’t expect you to have already been promoted to major. That’s truly impressive.”
Begfins said to Irelia with great emotion.
“I can’t compare to you, I’m far behind. I often hear about your deeds.”
Irelia replied with a smile.
“Haha, you flatter me! Alright, let’s not reminisce for now, business is more important! Once the league ends, we’ll have a good reunion.”
Begfins ended the pleasantries with a laugh.
“Mhm.”
Irelia nodded slightly in agreement.
