Chapter Index

    Darkness.

Very deep, very deep, bottomless, without a trace of light.

In this endless darkness, there was a painful sense of suffocation, accompanied by a constant feeling of falling, and no way to resist.

What a desperate, helpless, and terrible feeling this was.

Just then, a glimmer of light suddenly appeared in the distant, pitch-black abyss.

The illusory light gradually expanded from a haze, becoming clearer and clearer, and the entire world was covered with color.

The moment the colors solidified, a pair of eyes opened.

Old walls came into view, and a strong sense of suffocation and pain still filled his brain.

He struggled to lift his head, and out of the corner of his eye, a taut noose immediately came into view.

At this moment, a young man in a blue and white school uniform could be seen hanging from a rope, his entire face a purplish-red.

    “Ah!”

The young man’s eyes widened, and he struggled desperately. Although he didn’t understand what was happening, he didn’t want to hang himself.

    Creak~

The entire noose swung back and forth due to the young man’s violent struggles.

It was all in vain, however; the noose dug deeper into his neck, and the intense suffocation made the young man’s eyes roll back.

However, just as he was about to give up.

    Crack!

The old steel frame ceiling collapsed with a crash.

    Rumble~

The young man fell heavily, landing on scattered debris on the ground.

The huge noise was particularly jarring in the silent night.

    “Cough, cough~”

The young man lay sprawled on the ground, breathing heavily, greedily inhaling fresh air.

    Thump-thump~

Soon, hurried footsteps came from outside the door, followed by the door being pushed open. Two figures rushed in and, seeing the young man on the ground, excitedly shouted,

“We found Su Ming, he’s here!”

The young man struggled to lift his head and look at the figures at the door. Before he could figure out what was happening, more and more people rushed over.

Everyone surrounded the young man, anxiously saying,

“Quick, quickly send him to the infirmary.”

A moment later, inside the clean infirmary.

Su Ming lay on the hospital bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, his expression one of confusion.

Inside the infirmary, many students in blue and white school uniforms were chattering noisily.

“What’s wrong with Su Ming? He hasn’t said a word all day. Could he have had a mental breakdown and gone crazy?”

“Normal. If my love letter was made public to the whole school, I’d probably be the same.”

    “That guy is really miserable!”

    “Quiet, no more talking nonsense!”

A thin, gaunt, sallow-skinned middle-aged man in a gray teacher’s uniform, suppressing his irritation, scolded the chattering students.

    “Yes, Teacher Tang.”

The students present exchanged glances and fell silent.

At this moment, the infirmary door was suddenly pushed open forcefully. A middle-aged man, 1.5 meters tall, with a beer belly, wearing a black swallow-tailed coat, his shiny hair meticulously combed, and two small mustaches on his face, rushed in frantically, pulling a tall noblewoman wearing a jewel necklace and a red dress.

Seeing Su Ming lying on the hospital bed, they rushed to the bedside in a panic and asked with concern,

    “Son, are you alright?”

    “Where do you feel uncomfortable?”

“Who hurt you so badly? Tell Dad, Dad will definitely sue him!”

Su Ming stared blankly at the middle-aged couple, showing no reaction.

Seeing that Su Ming showed no reaction, their expressions grew more anxious, and they asked worriedly,

“Son, what’s wrong with you? Say something!”

    “Don’t scare us!”

    “Parents, calm down!”

Tang Yan and an older school doctor quickly stepped forward to comfort them.

“Doctor, what’s wrong with my son?”

Su Ming’s parents asked very nervously.

“Su Ming tried to hang himself in the storage room a while ago. Although he was rescued, he might have suffered minor brain damage due to lack of oxygen, causing his consciousness to be affected. Let him rest quietly; he might recover.”

The school doctor sighed and said.

“Yes, that’s right. Please don’t get excited, Su Ming needs quiet rest now.”

Tang Yan echoed, then turned to the other students who had helped with the search and said,

“Everyone go back to the dorms. Get some rest; we have class tomorrow.”

Although the students present were a bit reluctant, they eventually left one after another.

Su Ming’s parents, after hearing the doctor and Tang Yan’s words, felt their tense hearts relax slightly and looked at Su Ming again.

“Son, look at me carefully, I am your mother!”

Su Ming’s mother said with red eyes.

Su Ming only glanced at the middle-aged woman and did not speak. At this moment, his head ached even more, and he couldn’t figure out what was happening at all.

    “You really don’t remember?”

    “Mother?”

Su Ming’s lips moved, and he murmured softly.

At this moment, a fragmented memory suddenly flashed through his mind.

In the memory, he stood on the School field, surrounded by many figures in blue and white school uniforms, who were laughing at him.

Then the memory fragment shifted, and he was leaning on the classroom window, looking at a beautiful figure on the School field.

As memory fragments kept emerging, Su Ming felt as if his head was about to tear apart, and the excruciating pain made him groan in agony.

    “Ah~”

    “Son, what’s wrong?”

Su Ming’s parents asked with extreme nervousness when they saw this scene.

“Ah, my head hurts so much!”

Su Ming clutched his head and rolled in pain on the hospital bed, countless memory fragments constantly emerging.

The school doctor beside him quickly grabbed a tranquilizer and rushed over, shouting,

    “Hold him down!”

Tang Yan and the others frantically reached out and held Su Ming down.

Just as Su Ming was about to remember everything, the needle was jabbed into his arm. Immediately, Su Ming felt a strong sense of fatigue wash over him, and then he fell into a deep sleep.

    One day later.

Quiet sunlight streamed through the transparent floor-to-ceiling window, falling onto the spacious bed.

Su Ming slowly opened his eyes and struggled to sit up.

He clutched his forehead, groggily got out of bed, and walked towards the bathroom.

In the bathroom, Su Ming blankly turned on the faucet.

    Splash~

Su Ming extended his hands, catching the flowing water to wash his face.

The cold water immediately cleared Su Ming’s muddled head considerably, and then he looked up into the mirror.

A round, fleshy face instantly came into view.

    “Ah~”

    Su Ming immediately shuddered, startled.

His first reaction was: Who am I? Where am I?

    His whole head was blank.

But Su Ming quickly calmed down and sorted out his confused thoughts.

Then he took a deep breath and looked at the mirror again.

He examined himself in the mirror, and he was completely stunned.

This was the first time he had looked in a mirror.

Five minutes later, Su Ming sighed helplessly, having more or less accepted this new identity.

    “ε=(ο`*))) Alas”

“I didn’t expect this body to be so fat? It must be at least 180 pounds, right?”

Su Ming looked down, scrutinizing his new body from all angles, then mumbled softly.
