Chapter Index

    The second Cyan Wing.

The entire body of the II Type Chirami was riddled with holes from the explosion, but as more and more Chirami Larvae poured in, the II Type Chirami’s body rapidly repaired itself and grew even larger. The external shell, differentiated from its outer cells, became more vibrant, showing signs of evolving towards a Type III.

Su Ming watched the battle before him, shaking his head slightly. The situation was not optimistic.

Just then, the swelling body of the Kirami suddenly compressed sharply. Its twenty-meter-tall body shrank to fifteen meters, and an ugly mouth suddenly split open on its unformed, round head.

    Sizzle!

    Black lightning flashed.

    Swish!

A black beam of light swept across.

    Rumble~

One ironhead mech after another, and armored vehicles, were blown apart.

Immediately after, the II Type Chirami further mimicked a humanoid form.

    “It’s over.”

Captain Han Le, controlling his mech, struggled to his feet. Seeing this scene, his heart trembled violently.

Suddenly, a streak of light came at high speed from a distance, directly hitting the mimicked Kirami body!

    Crack!

A white beam saber pierced through the II Type Chirami’s body.

    This sudden scene stunned everyone.

Su Ming held his breath and looked closely.

He saw a mech that was seventeen meters tall, covered in cyan metallic armor, with a beam cannon embedded in its shoulder, a pair of flexible mechanical jet wings embedded in its back, holding two ten-meter-long beam sabers, and a black star emblem painted on its chest.

“III Generation Mecha · Cyan Wing!”

Su Ming almost blurted it out subconsciously. He recognized the mech’s model at a glance, and this was not just an ordinary third-generation mech; it was a third-generation mech with an honor mark.

The black star painted on the mech’s chest was the best proof.

In the military departments of the Old Federation, Apocalypse Divine Kingdom, and Dark Star Empire, there was a common honor rule.

That is, when you kill an important hostile figure or a powerful monster, in addition to receiving rewards and medals, you can paint different marks on your mech.

Among them, the star mark represents a well-known master, a military officer who has reached the rank of colonel, or an exotic creature above special Type III.

The moon mark represents a top hostile master, a military officer who has reached the rank of general, or an exotic creature above Type IV.

The sun mark represents a hostile hero, a military officer who has reached the rank of Commander, or an exotic creature above Type V.

As for those painted black, they represent the killing of exotic creatures, while red represents personnel from hostile factions.

    “So strong!”

Chen Tong, Mink, and the others were all stunned.

Just one blow severely wounded this II Type Elite Class · Quilami that was about to advance, and its life activity instantly plummeted.

At this moment, the heavily wounded II Type Elite Class · Quilami extended its differentiated claws, reaching for the Azure Wing Mecha before it.

As a result, the Azure Wing Mecha swung its other beam saber, splitting the incoming claw in half with one stroke. Immediately after, the Azure Wing Mecha pulled out the penetrating beam saber and, with a backhand, struck the Kirami’s body.

    Crack!

The entire II Type Chirami was cut open from the head, revealing its squirming internal tissues.

The Azure Wing Mecha then wielded its beam saber, cutting its body into four or five pieces in a few strokes, as if slicing a watermelon.

Afterward, the Azure Wing Mecha retracted its light blade, pulled out a huge mechanical light gun, adjusted the barrel, and pulled the trigger on the Kirami’s corpse.

    Sizzle~

A scattered beam of light, like a scanner, covered the entire body of the II Type Chirami.

Its black cellular body dissolved like a bubble, finally turning into a shriveled mass, completely losing its vitality.

Due to the Old Federation’s long-standing battles with the Kirami and the Mechanical Clan, two types of weapons were developed to be particularly advanced. One type was optical weapons, and the mechanical light gun held by this Azure Wing Mecha was the most classic model, capable of concentrated energy penetration or dispersed light beam dissolution of bodies.

Another type of weapon was electromagnetic, specifically designed to deal with the Mechanical Clan.

After completely dealing with this Kirami, the Azure Wing Mecha turned its head and sternly issued orders to Han Le and the others.

“The remaining cleanup and aftermath are up to you.”

    “Yes, Sir Zhou Hao!”

Han Le and the others replied excitedly. This Sir Zhou Hao was Sir Xiao Lie’s right-hand man.

    Swish~

Zhou Hao, controlling the Azure Wing Mecha, leaped from the ground and flew away.

“Everyone, the crisis is resolved. Now, begin the aftermath.”

Han Le said to Daniel and the others.

    “Yes!”

Daniel and the others immediately responded.

    “Wuwu, it’s finally over.”

    “We’re saved.”

Many students and teachers on site breathed a sigh of relief, finally having endured it. It was truly too tragic.

After giving his orders, Han Le turned to examine the four training mechs and asked,

    “You four are students, right?”

    “Uh, yes.”

Su Ming and the other three replied.

Han Le was quite surprised to hear their answer.

He hadn’t expected them to be students, and such brave ones at that. To put it bluntly, students in intermediate academies were basically hothouse flowers; they learned a lot of theory but had never seen truly brutal combat. So, he sincerely praised them,

“Thank you so much for your help. You were very brave and performed exceptionally well!”

“Officer, you flatter us too much. We didn’t help much.”

Su Ming and the others were also somewhat overwhelmed by the unexpected praise.

“Don’t say that, you really were outstanding.”

    Han Le replied sincerely.

For a moment, Su Ming and the others were a bit embarrassed by the praise.

And just then, a man in a black suit, with a small mustache, a bald top, and a beer belly, quite old, came up to Han Le and the others, accompanied by a group of people, looking furious.

Su Ming also looked at this person curiously. If he remembered correctly, this person was Principal Roken.

Roken surveyed the heavily injured and dead students, pointed at Han Le, and angrily demanded accountability,

“What were you doing? How long has the Kirami invasion been going on, and you’re only just arriving? Do you know how many students died because of your dereliction of duty? This is malfeasance, and I will definitely sue you!”

At once, the surviving students turned their heads to look.

Captain Han Le, looking at Roken who was accusing him, also frowned deeply.

Sima, the Vice Captain standing beside Han Le, said helplessly,

“Principal, your accusation is truly unreasonable. It’s the middle of the night; we were all resting in our dorms. When we heard the alarm, we rushed out immediately and headed straight for the hangar. It takes time to get to the hangar, doesn’t it? It takes time to start the mechs, doesn’t it? And the city is so big, it takes time for us to fly here, doesn’t it? It’s already good that we arrived so quickly.”

Roken was speechless for a moment upon hearing Sima’s defense. However, he did not give up and instead directly pointed his finger at Daniel and the others.

“Then that’s your fault. As patrol guards, you didn’t come to the rescue immediately, which led to heavy student casualties. I will definitely sue you!”
