Chapter Index

At this moment, the guards beside Isaven immediately rushed towards Mia, attempting to stop her.

As a result, Mia’s power erupted, turning her into a red streak of light that assailed the guards blocking her.

    Bang~

In an instant, one guard after another was sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground.

Su Ming’s eyes were dazzled; he couldn’t make out Mia’s movements at all, her speed was simply too fast.

By this time, Mia had already dealt with the guards and walked up to Isaven.

    “What do you want?”

Isaven asked with a gloomy face.

    “What?”

Mia controlled her strength and punched Isaven directly in the face, knocking him to the ground.

Immediately after, Mia lifted her foot and stepped on Isaven, asking coldly,

    “Where is it?”

    “I don’t know.”

Isaven stubbornly refused to budge, knowing that he had kicked an iron plate today, but the more this was the case, the less he could admit it.

“I’ll ask you one last time, where is it?”

    Mia asked with murderous intent.

“I don’t know. Do you dare to kill me? My father is the Deputy City Lord of Black Flame City!”

Although Isaven felt extreme danger, he had never been threatened like this before, so he still stubbornly refused to give in.

    “Hmph~ Then go to hell.”

Mia exhaled slightly, raised her left hand towards Isaven, and her entire left palm began to accumulate dazzling light.

When Su Ming saw this scene, his expression drastically changed; he hadn’t expected Mia to be serious.

Just as Su Ming was about to stop Mia,

Suddenly, a rush of hurried footsteps was heard, followed by a loud shout.

    “Stop!”

Mia turned her head to look.

A middle-aged man wearing a luxurious black robe, with a face full of scars and an imposing aura, walked in. This man was none other than Deputy City Lord Max of Black Flame City.

He also brought a group of subordinates behind him.

    “You’re dead.”

Isaven said viciously when he saw his father arrive.

“Is that so, Deputy City Lord Max?”

Mia removed the combat suit covering her face and spoke coldly.

Seeing that it was Mia, Max’s face turned ashen as he stepped forward and said,

“Lady Mia, I don’t know where my son offended you. Please be lenient.”

“He took my friend’s package and refuses to return it.”

    Mia replied indifferently.

Upon hearing Mia’s words, Max turned his head and roared at Isaven,

“You unfilial son, how dare you take Lady Mia’s things? Hurry up and get them out!”

    “I didn’t, Father.”

Isaven was also stunned, but he still wanted to argue.

However, Max went up and gave him another kick, roaring furiously,

“Shut up! Immediately! Right now! Get the things out, don’t miss a single one, or I’ll kill you right now!”

Isaven hadn’t expected his father to not listen to his explanation, so he fearfully scrambled up and replied,

    “I’ll go right now.”

Mia watched coldly as Isaven went to retrieve the items.

Not long after, Isaven came out with a very large package, saying nervously,

“Everything is here, nothing is missing.”

Max snatched the package, then gave Isaven another kick, and then said with a fawning smile,

    “Lady Mia, everything is here.”

“If you had just taken it out earlier, there wouldn’t have been any trouble. And you tried to talk about evidence with me. The person I like the most is someone who doesn’t talk about evidence.”

Mia lazily took the package and then handed it to Su Ming.

“My unfilial son is ignorant, Lady Mia, please don’t bother with him. This is a small token of apology, please accept it and forgive my son this once.”

Max took out a bank card from his person and handed it to Mia with a smile.

“Alright, I’ll give you face. Su Ming, let’s go!”

Mia was not polite and directly accepted the bank card.

    “Okay.”

Su Ming quickly followed Mia out.

After Mia left, the smile on Max’s face immediately faded, replaced by fury.

“Father, who is she? Why do we have to be so submissive?”

    Isaven asked, utterly unwilling.

“Who is she? She’s your mother!”

Max turned around furiously and slapped Isaven across the face.

    Slap~

Isaven was stunned, covering his face and looking at his father in disbelief, his head buzzing.

    “My mother???”

On the street outside the villa.

After Mia brought Su Ming out, she immediately said impatiently,

“Quick, quick, open it and see what good stuff is inside!”

    “Alright.”

Although Su Ming felt a little uneasy, he was also quite curious about what was inside the package.

So Mia pulled Su Ming to a corner, and she impatiently opened the package.

    “Wow!”

Su Ming was also stunned by what was inside the package. It contained a large piece of Titanium-Chromium Ore, as well as various boxes.

Su Ming then opened the boxes one by one, only to see various expensive jewels and precious medicinal materials inside.

For a moment, Su Ming’s eyes were a bit dazzled.

Just then, Mia rummaged through the package and found a very small glass bottle. Inside the bottle was a small mass of flowing golden sand, like water, and these golden sands emitted specks of starlight.

    “Wow!”

Mia looked at the small bottle, her face showing an extremely exaggerated expression.

    “What is this?”

Su Ming glanced at it and asked curiously.

“Eternal Metal! I didn’t expect to find this. No wonder that rich second-generation heir refused to hand it over. We’re rich!”

Mia said, stuffing the small bottle into her pocket.

“Cough, cough, Teacher, isn’t that a bit inappropriate?”

    Su Ming coughed and asked.

“What’s inappropriate? They already said it, as long as we leave some for them, it’s fine!”

Mia said, smiling from ear to ear.

Su Ming sighed, shook his head without saying anything, and then continued to look through the other boxes.

However, when he opened the most luxurious box inside, he found it was empty.

Su Ming was slightly startled and quickly said to Mia,

“Teacher, look, this box is empty.”

Mia heard Su Ming’s words, leaned over to look, and said with great confusion,

    “How can it be empty?”

“Could it be that the kid didn’t hand it over?”

Su Ming stroked his chin and speculated.

“Impossible, you saw the situation just now. He shouldn’t dare to hide it, otherwise, I wouldn’t need to deal with him, Max would have killed him first!”

    “Then what’s going on?”

“This box should have been empty from the start. The items inside were probably hidden by Hai Lan and her daughter. That kid Isaven was probably constantly making things difficult for Hai Lan and her daughter because of the items in this box.”

    Mia analyzed calmly.

“That makes sense, then let’s go back.”

Su Ming thought for a moment and felt that Mia’s words made a lot of sense.

    “Okay!”

Mia immediately agreed; they had pretty much checked the contents of the package.

Late night · In front of Room 3605, Dragon Court Interstellar Hotel.

    Knock knock!

Su Ming and Mia looked left and right like thieves, then gently knocked on the door.

Soon the door opened, and Katini rubbed her eyes as she looked outside. When she saw Su Ming and Mia standing at the door, a bright smile immediately appeared on her small face.

Su Ming quickly made a shushing gesture to Katini.

    “Shhh.”

Katini quickly nodded, fully opening the door to let Su Ming and Mia in.

    “Who is it?”

Hai Lan, who was still awake at this time, asked weakly.

“It’s us, we helped you get your things back.”

Su Ming walked in and handed the retrieved package to Hai Lan.

Hai Lan immediately showed an expression of disbelief, and after a while, she came to her senses and thanked them.

“Thank you, thank you so much.”

“You’re welcome, do you want to check if everything is correct?”

Mia said with a cheerful smile.

Hai Lan quickly opened the package. She took out a beautiful box from it and opened it. Inside was a sky-blue necklace emitting a faint glow.

This necklace was her bridal gift, a Star Crystal Pearl necklace.

Hai Lan carefully placed it on her chest. Then, she composed herself slightly, not checking the other items, but instead said to Mia and Su Ming,

“I cannot repay your kindness. The remaining items are all yours.”

“Really? Then I won’t be polite.”

Mia immediately beamed, directly reaching out and embracing the package; this was the very sentence she had been waiting for.

    “Cough, cough!”

Su Ming coughed when he saw this scene.

Mia turned to look at Su Ming, then lowered her voice and said to him,

“When I’m done with it, we’ll split it fifty-fifty.”

    “Cough, cough!”

Su Ming was stunned by Mia’s words, his expression becoming incredibly complex. He could only cough again, while signaling Mia with his eyes to look at Hai Lan and her daughter.

Mia immediately realized, quickly picked up the card, handed it to Hai Lan, and said with an awkward smile,

“I’m sorry, I forgot. This card is a small token of our appreciation; you’ll definitely need it later.”

    “Thank you.”

Hai Lan didn’t refuse either; if she were to settle in the Federation later, she would indeed need money.

“It’s late, so we won’t disturb your rest. Su Ming, let’s go!”

Mia impatiently led Su Ming away.
