Chapter Index

    “Understood.”

Teacher Tang Xuan didn’t complain at all.

Su Ming frowned, truly misfortunes never come singly. However, he didn’t say anything, just input a string of commands on the control panel, generating a 1 hour and 23 minute countdown.

It had to be said that this bug’s flying speed was truly fast. If they weren’t piloting the Azure Wing Mecha, known for its speed, and the opponent wasn’t slowed down considerably by carrying an Iron Guard, they would have probably vanished long ago.

Su Ming narrowed his eyes, constantly estimating the distance and speed between them. He found that their speeds were almost identical, and this guy kept turning, making it quite difficult to catch up, requiring a lot of time.

Immediately, he wanted to activate the overclocking mode. However, at this moment, the Type III General-class insectoid, Psychedelic Moth, seemed to sense danger and suddenly turned towards the right side of space.

Tang Xuan anxiously shouted in the communication channel.

“Oh no, it’s flying towards the asteroid belt!”

Su Ming glanced at the scanning device and, sure enough, there was a large asteroid belt scattered in the right-hand space. He then gave up the idea of using overclocking.

After all, it was impossible to fly fast within an asteroid belt.

Soon, the Psychedelic Moth, clutching the Iron Guard Mech, plunged into the dense asteroid belt.

Su Ming and the other two piloted their mechs without any hesitation, rushing in. They constantly dodged the floating asteroids, and when they encountered smaller ones, they directly drew out their beam sabers and sharply cut them apart.

But even so, they still couldn’t catch up to the Psychedelic Moth; in fact, there was a slight sign of them being pulled further apart.

Though this Psychedelic Moth looked quite large, it was extremely agile. Moreover, it seemed very familiar with this area, so its speed didn’t decrease much.

“We can’t keep this up. Tang Xuan, Mia, you two flank it from both sides. I’ll stick to it! We must stop it!”

Opham said in a deep voice.

    “Okay!”

Tang Xuan agreed without a moment’s hesitation.

    “No problem.”

    Su Ming also spoke.

“??? Who are you? Where’s Mia?”

Opham and Tang Xuan were stunned when they heard Su Ming’s reply.

“Teachers, I am Su Ming, the class monitor of Class 23. Teacher Mia is not feeling well, so I am substituting for her.”

    Su Ming replied awkwardly.

Tang Xuan was instantly enraged and cursed furiously.

“How dare she? This is truly too much! I’m definitely going to complain about her!”

Tang Xuan already looked down on Mia, but she had no complaints about Mia’s skills, as anyone who could be a teacher certainly had some ability.

But it turned out that the one controlling the Azure Wing Mecha wasn’t Mia but Su Ming. If this led to a failed rescue, she would definitely not be done with Mia.

Opham also felt that Mia had gone too far, but now was not the time to pursue that. So, he advised Tang Xuan.

“Calm down, let’s put this aside for now. Saving lives is more important! Su Ming, you flank from the right. Just stop that monster for a moment.”

    “Okay!”

    Su Ming replied steadily.

Tang Xuan had no other choice but to fly around to the left.

Su Ming, meanwhile, piloted his mech towards the right.

Inside the Red Fang training area.

Mia sat in a corner, holding a bottle of beer she’d gotten from who-knows-where, drinking leisurely, with a small bag of peanuts in her hand.

Just then, Rhine and the others rushed over, piloting their mechs in a hurry.

    “Teacher, bad news!”

“What’s bad? How many mechs are damaged?”

Mia asked unhurriedly, knowing that damaged ones would be repaired for free anyway.

“No, it’s not that. A student from Class 11 was captured by an unknown creature. Su Ming is piloting the Azure Wing Mecha and went with two other teachers to rescue him.”

Mia was slightly startled after hearing Rhine and the others, then replied nonchalantly.

“Let them rescue him, what’s the big deal?”

“No, Teacher, that creature is very dangerous! What if the class monitor gets into trouble?”

“Didn’t you say two other teachers went to rescue him? If he can still get into trouble with them there, then he’s useless anyway.”

“Teacher, are you just going to trust the class monitor?”

“Of course I trust him. But if you guys go after them, I’ll really blow up.”

    Mia replied irritably.

She was very confident in Su Ming. That guy not only dodged her sneak attack in the underground arena but also directly clashed with her head-on.

Most importantly, Su Ming’s strength had been continuously improving during this time, so there was nothing to worry about at all.

Rhine and the others looked at each other after hearing Mia.

“Sigh, but I’m probably going to be in trouble. No, I have to go. Just pretend you didn’t see me.”

Mia thought about it carefully, felt things were a bit off, and decisively slipped away.

Inside the asteroid belt, Su Ming piloted the Azure Wing Mecha, deftly avoiding large asteroids one by one, flying forward at extreme speed.

He constantly watched the green dot displayed on the scanning radar, continuously closing the distance.

It had to be said that Opham was following very well. Although he was sticking closely to the Psychedelic Moth, he wasn’t desperately forcing it, but rather maintaining a certain distance to lull it, preventing the Psychedelic Moth from desperately fleeing, thereby creating opportunities for Su Ming and Tang Xuan.

Soon, Su Ming and Tang Xuan successfully flanked it from both sides.

Tang Xuan launched the first surprise attack. She swiftly approached the Psychedelic Moth, raising and swinging her beam saber, preparing to strike the Psychedelic Moth.

In an instant, the Psychedelic Moth voluntarily deactivated its stealth state. A bug, over a hundred meters tall, with two pairs of insect wings that looked as if they were painted with a layer of oil paint, and a body covered in different colored spots, appeared.

The Psychedelic Moth turned its head, opened its insect mouth, and a Pollock light beam blasted out.

Tang Xuan was startled, performing an extreme maneuver to make her mech do a side flip. The Pollock light beam grazed her, hitting an asteroid.

    The entire asteroid exploded.

At this moment, Su Ming’s pupils contracted. He swiftly maneuvered the Azure Wing Mecha to charge forward, sharply swinging his beam saber to strike the Psychedelic Moth.

Knowing it couldn’t dodge, the Psychedelic Moth flapped its huge wings, twisted its body, and directly used the Iron Guard it was gripping as a shield.

Su Ming’s eyes flickered, and the beam saber in his hand skewed.

    Crack!

A gash was cut into the Psychedelic Moth’s side, splattering viscous blood.

The Psychedelic Moth winced in pain, its abdomen wriggled, and its insect tail sprayed a large area of corrosive green mist.

Su Ming quickly activated the energy shield.

At this moment, the Psychedelic Moth flapped its huge wings and accelerated away.

Opham, piloting the Azure Wing Mecha, quickly chased after it. Soon, Su Ming and Tang Xuan also followed.

“This guy got hit and is injured. It won’t last long, and its speed will drop.”

Tang Xuan said in the communication channel.

“Exactly. What we need to do now is stick to it!”

    Opham said in agreement.

However, just then, all three of their scanning devices simultaneously emitted a piercing alarm sound, and a red alert popped up.

    “Warning, Pollock biological reaction detected!”

“Hint: Target confirmed as Type II Psychedelic Moth, quantity 17!”
