Chapter Index

Su Ming checked the time displayed on his phone; it was already past 1 AM, so he said to Celes,

“It’s very late. I’m not chatting with you anymore.”

After Su Ming finished speaking, he reached out, preparing to turn off his phone screen.

“No, no, please stay with me a little longer.”

    Celes replied pitifully.

“No, I still have classes tomorrow. If I go to bed too late, I won’t be in good spirits the next day.”

Su Ming finished speaking and reached out to press Celes’s small face, moving it to the side of the phone. Then he turned off the screen and began tidying up, preparing to return to his dorm to rest.

    The next day, at dusk.

Inside the classroom, Mia was lecturing to everyone, stifling a yawn.

“During a space engagement, in a situation where the enemy is strong and we are weak, the most effective tactic is—”

    Ding-a-ling!

Just then, a clear bell rang.

Mia instantly perked up and immediately said to everyone,

“Class dismissed, class dismissed, class dismissed!”

“Oh, Teacher, please teach a little more! We were just getting engrossed.”

Everyone also chimed in, trying to persuade her.

“Go on, go on! I’ve been talking all day; my throat is practically smoking. Don’t delay me from drinking! If you have time, go to the training ground and play a few more matches. Improving your skills is better than anything.”

    “Alright, alright.”

Rein and the others called out.

Just then, Zhang Yi saw Lin Chuyu standing prettily outside the classroom door, waiting, and immediately shouted in an exaggerated manner,

“Look outside, everyone! Who is it?”

    “Isn’t that Lin Chuyu?”

“Class Monitor, she’s here to see you.”

For a moment, all the boys in the class cheered excitedly.

Mia was also slightly startled, turning her head to look at Lin Chuyu standing outside. She couldn’t help but show a surprised expression and muttered,

“Good boy, you have good taste!”

Su Ming sighed helplessly, stood up, and walked out under everyone’s gaze.

“Su Ming, did I disturb your class?”

    Lin Chuyu asked apologetically.

“It’s fine, class was already dismissed. By the way, are you alone?”

“Yes, Ruoxue couldn’t make it because she had something to do.”

    “Then let’s go.”

Su Ming replied with a smile.

    “Follow me.”

Lin Chuyu then led Su Ming away.

A moment later, the two arrived at the west side of the school. Lin Chuyu raised her hand and pointed forward, saying,

    “Our club is just ahead.”

Su Ming looked in the direction Lin Chuyu was pointing, and a very unique building came into view in the distance. It was a building with a square base, from which four supporting pillars extended from its corners. A massive spherical structure rested atop these pillars. The entire sphere’s surface was made of special glass, and two intersecting light rings encircled it.

    “Is that building your club’s?”

“Yes, the entire building belongs to the Polaris Club.”

“The Polaris Club, so rich and powerful? They actually have such a unique building all to themselves within the school?”

Su Ming was also slightly surprised.

“Our club is quite strong. Not only do we have a building within the school, but we also have a Level 4 Mothership and several battleships.”

Lin Chuyu introduced the strength of the Polaris Club to Su Ming.

“Impressive! A Level 4 Mothership can sometimes determine the fate of a Neutral Country.”

“Yes, and today, the one responsible for recruiting you into the club is our President, Kraut. He’s actually a very good person, it’s just…”

    “Just what?”

    Su Ming asked curiously.

“I don’t know how to describe it. You’ll know when you meet him.”

    Lin Chuyu said softly.

    “Alright.”

Su Ming didn’t say much more.

Soon, Su Ming and Lin Chuyu arrived outside the Polaris Club building.

At this moment, they saw students wearing exoskeleton armor gathering in the outdoor area, with the leading captain giving some instructions.

“What are they doing? Preparing for a mission?”

Su Ming glanced over, asking curiously.

“Hmm, I heard from others in the group that it seems there was a problem with the club’s investments outside.”

Lin Chuyu thought for a moment and explained.

“Investments outside? The North Star has investments outside?”

Su Ming became even more surprised. This club was a bit different from what he had imagined; it seemed they didn’t just take on missions.

“Yes, and the investment scope is very wide. As far as I know, they even have investments in the Neutral Zone, and our club’s investment model is quite interesting.”

    “How is it interesting?”

“Our club’s investments aren’t just made with club funds. Instead, projects are proposed by the president or subordinate members, and after being reviewed and approved, they are publicized. Interested members can then invest and participate.”

    “That’s a good model.”

    “I think so too.”

As Lin Chuyu and Su Ming chatted, they arrived at the base of the North Star building.

Here, there was a spiral staircase that allowed entry into the sphere above from the bottom. And in front of the staircase stood four guards wearing Second Generation Exoskeleton Armor Rock Steel.

Su Ming glanced at the guards. It was clear that these were not students; they must have been hired guards. Some of them were quite old, with graying hair at their temples.

    “Let’s go up.”

Lin Chuyu led Su Ming up the spiral staircase.

Soon, they entered the North Star building and arrived at the club’s main hall.

The entire main hall was tastefully decorated. The floor was laid with patterned antique square tiles, art sculptures were placed in the corners, and the ceiling was painted with a vast starry sky, with the stars twinkling with soft light.

At the same time, the entire hall was very lively, with senior male and female students standing and chatting, discussing various matters.

“Isn’t this Chu Yu? It’s rare to see you at the club building.”

A rugged-looking man wearing Third Generation Exoskeleton Armor greeted Chu Yu when he saw her.

“Senior Lei Ke, I brought a friend to see the president.”

    Lin Chuyu replied very politely.

“Oh, bringing a new person, huh? Go ahead!”

Lei Ke glanced at Su Ming, then nodded.

    “Then we’ll go ahead, Senior!”

Lin Chuyu nodded slightly and led Su Ming towards Elevator No. 1.

Soon, the two entered the elevator, and Lin Chuyu pressed the 8th-floor button.

After a dozen seconds, accompanied by a ‘ding’ sound,

The elevator doors opened, revealing a corridor carpeted in red.

Lin Chuyu led Su Ming out of the elevator and walked inside, arriving in front of a tightly closed office door.

She reached out and pressed the doorbell.

    Ding!

At this, the thick door automatically opened.

Lin Chuyu led Su Ming inside. As they entered the office, their view suddenly became wide and clear.

The entire office was over three hundred square meters in area, with a low-key luxurious interior. Private paintings hung on the walls, and all the furniture inside was made of wood.

Lin Chuyu continued to lead Su Ming deeper inside. Facing them, they saw a tall young woman with eyes like a clear blue lake, pink lips, skin so fair it seemed it could break with a touch, dressed in a white lace long dress, with black curly hair cascading over her shoulders, wearing a white hat, and possessing an elegant demeanor, standing in front of the desk.
