Chapter Index

Mia watched Su Ming leave the warehouse and immediately urged Charl impatiently.

“Quick, quick, quick, transfer all the money to me.”

“All of it? Aren’t you going to leave me some storage fees? Your mecha has been here for so many years, and the storage fees are very expensive.”

Charl said to Mia with a chuckle.

“Get lost! You want to embezzle my money? Stop with the nonsense and transfer it over quickly.”

    Mia cursed impolitely.

Charl’s expression stiffened, and he said awkwardly.

“Alright, I’ll transfer it to you! I knew I’d end up doing free labor. But speaking of which, is it appropriate for you to fleece your own student like this?”

“What do you mean ‘fleece’? How did I fleece him? Those two particle light blades equipped on this mecha are standard weapons for a Fourth Generation Mecha; those two particle light blades alone are worth that much money!”

    Mia said angrily.

“That’s not what I meant. I know the value of this mecha far exceeds that money, after all, this was your former mecha. But this mecha is also severely damaged and won’t be easy to repair. Especially since it has a Fourth-Generation fission power device built in, that’s not something an ordinary mecha repairman can fix.”

Charl replied with a sigh of emotion.

Mia rolled her eyes and replied directly.

“That’s his problem. If he can’t even handle that, he’s not fit to pilot this mecha. But you old geezer, are you getting more sentimental the older you get?”

“I’m just getting old! But Mia, you’re still so young, are you really going to continue being so decadent? Can you really not get past that hurdle?”

Charl looked at Mia and asked calmly.

Mia was silent for a few seconds, then said.

    “I don’t know either!”

    The next morning.

    Royal Court Academy·Hangar Area.

Rows of rectangular, factory-like hangars were connected side by side, forming a magnificent continuous hangar complex.

Each hangar had wide roads corresponding to its front and back for mecha to enter and exit.

Su Ming walked over on foot; the entire area was especially lively. There were high-grade students everywhere, and from time to time, different models of mecha could be seen driving out of the hangars.

Most of these mecha were Second-Generation Mecha, with First-Generation Mecha and Third Generation Mecha being rare.

But every time a Third Generation Mecha came out of or returned to a hangar, it would attract the attention of many students, and envious discussions could be heard.

“Look quickly, isn’t that the Third Generation Mecha·Gun Knight? I wish I could buy one.”

“Stop dreaming. Don’t you know how expensive Third Generation Mecha are? If we can get one before graduation, we can pick any of the top three legions!”

Su Ming stopped and looked around the entire storage area. He estimated that if the hangar occupancy rate here could reach 80%, then there would be at least tens of thousands of mecha stored here.

What kind of concept was this? It was comparable to the number of mecha in a full-fledged legion!

No wonder everyone said that Royal Court Academy was the safest place in Starlight City. If it were ever attacked, there would be no need for military protection; just these students driving their mecha out would be enough to give the enemy a hard time.

“Amazing! No wonder they say the League is the only chance the other two academies have to defeat Royal Court Academy. Just on the private ownership of mecha alone, Royal Court Academy probably outclasses the other two academies by a hundred streets.”

    Su Ming exclaimed sincerely.

    “Su Ming?”

At this moment, a familiar voice sounded from behind.

Su Ming turned his head in surprise and saw Lin Chuyu and An Ruoxue walking over together.

“What a coincidence, why are you two here?”

“We’re here to rent a hangar. The Wind Chaser you ordered for me is about to be delivered.”

Lin Chuyu smiled and said to Su Ming.

    “So that’s how it is.”

    Su Ming nodded in response.

At this moment, An Ruoxue asked Su Ming curiously.

“Then what are you doing here?”

“I’m also here to rent a hangar. I just bought a mecha.”

Su Ming didn’t hide it from them.

“That’s perfect, let’s go rent a hangar together.”

Lin Chuyu didn’t find it very surprising, after all, Su Ming was the young master of Thunder Interstellar Heavy Industries Group, so he must have made preparations regarding mecha.

    “Okay!”

    Su Ming immediately agreed.

The three then walked together towards the hangar management office.

When they arrived at the management office, they immediately saw over a hundred people gathered there, undoubtedly all there to rent hangars.

    “So many people?”

Su Ming was also a bit surprised.

“We’ll probably have to wait a bit.”

An Ruoxue replied with a chuckle.

However, just then, a slightly unexpected voice came.

    “Su Ming?”

Su Ming was slightly startled, turned his head to look, and saw Senior Lin Fang walking over in a work uniform.

“Senior Lin Fang? Are you working part-time here?”

“Yes, I didn’t expect to see you again. Let me congratulate you first, I heard you won the League Second Prize.”

    Lin Fang congratulated Su Ming.

    “Just luck.”

    Su Ming chuckled and replied.

“Junior Su Ming, are you here to rent a hangar?”

Lin Fang asked directly after exchanging pleasantries.

    “Yes.”

    Su Ming admitted directly.

“Then come with me. I’ll take you to see the hangars and try to pick a good location for you, close to the exit.”

    Lin Fang said very enthusiastically.

    “Thank you!”

Su Ming and the other two then followed Lin Fang.

Lin Fang led them to Hangar Area 101, and he introduced it to Su Ming.

“Actually, eighty-five percent of the academy’s hangars are already rented out, so there are very few good spots.”

“Hmm, are there different grades of spots?”

“Yes, they are divided by size. The larger the spot, the more expensive it is. But I personally recommend you rent a small spot, because a small spot can accommodate First to Third Generation Mecha. Of course, if you want to store a Four-Generation Mecha, you’ll need to rent a large spot.”

“I see, then how much is a small spot?”

Su Ming asked with some trepidation; he only had 3,000 federal currency in his pocket now.

“A small spot is 1,000 federal currency per month.”

Lin Fang said to Su Ming and the others.

“That’s quite cheap. I was originally worried the price would be very expensive.”

    Lin Chuyu replied with surprise.

“This is for the first spot, so it’s not expensive, but if you want to rent a second spot, it won’t be this price.”

“What’s the price for the second spot? How much is the difference?”

“The monthly rent for a second small spot is 10,000 federal currency.”

Lin Fang said with a smile.

“Ten times? Why is there such a big difference?”

Su Ming and the other two replied in surprise.

“That’s because for the first spot, the school provides subsidies and discounts. The school’s original intention is to allow every student to rent a spot. As for the price of the second spot, it’s actually not expensive. You can inquire about all the hangars for rent in Starlight City; the prices are even higher than this! Of course, there are cheaper ones, which are some newly built hangars in the southern suburbs. Those are very cheap! But those hangars are not within Starlight City, so safety is not guaranteed! If you park there, you might as well park in the wild and save on rent.”

    Lin Fang explained very seriously.

    “I see.”

Su Ming and the other two nodded in response.

“Oh, I forgot to tell you. There are couple spots here, which can accommodate two mecha, and the price is cheaper, only 1,500 federal currency per month!”

Lin Fang suddenly remembered and said to Su Ming and the other two.

“Then are there couple spots for three people?”

    An Ruoxue asked playfully.

Lin Fang was stunned when he heard An Ruoxue’s words, somewhat bewildered for a moment.

“Ahem, she’s just kidding with you.”

    Su Ming explained awkwardly.

“No, I think our three mecha can be put together, that way it’s even more economical.”

An Ruoxue said with a chuckle.

“Junior, there are no couple spots for three people. If we introduced such a package, we’d be cursed to death! If you want to store three mecha at once, you’ll need to rent a large spot, and that price will be higher.”

    Lin Fang explained earnestly.
