Chapter Index

The soldiers present looked at each other, not daring to utter a sound. They had no idea what was going on and could only lower their heads one by one.

Seeing their silence, Colonel Suo Wei turned and walked towards other storage depots.

Wu Feng followed him in a panic, cursing Morgans in his heart.

As they walked along, they saw soldiers standing rigidly at the entrance of every storage facility.

Even the patrolling soldiers were on foot; there wasn’t a single mech in sight.

“Where are the mechs? Where are the mechs in the base? Why are they all guarded by manpower?”

Colonel Suo Wei incessantly scolded Wu Feng, his words hitting him like a barrage.

Wu Feng’s forehead was beaded with fine sweat as he said with a forced smile to Colonel Suo Wei.

“Colonel Suo Wei, please wait! I’ll call Morgans over right away, and we’ll know once we ask him.”

“Immediately, call him over right now.”

Colonel Suo Wei was about to explode with anger. This was the first time he had encountered such an odd situation during his inspections of so many areas.

Wu Feng quickly shouted at a subordinate beside him.

“What are you standing there for? Go quickly!”

    “Yes, sir!”

The subordinate immediately reacted, rushing towards the main building in a panic.

Colonel Suo Wei stood in place, his face ashen, waiting.

Not long after, Major Morgans rushed over in a hurry. He had received a report from his subordinate at the gate that the inspecting officer had arrived, and he was waiting below the main building.

But after waiting for a long time, he didn’t see anyone, and he didn’t expect them to have come here.

Seeing Morgans approach, Wu Feng quickly said to Colonel Suo Wei.

    “Sir, he’s here!”

    “Sir, what are your orders?”

    Morgans saluted calmly.

“Tell me, where are the mechs? Where are the mechs in the storage base? Why haven’t I seen a single one, except for the few at the main gate?”

Colonel Suo Wei asked, suppressing his anger.

“Reporting, Sir, all the mechs in the base have been sent for maintenance.”

Morgans replied, lying through his teeth.

Wu Feng’s expression was also very interesting when he heard Morgans’ words. He immediately leaned close to Morgans, his lips moving as he whispered.

“Damn it, don’t mess with me!”

    “I’m not messing with you.”

Morgans replied with a somewhat awkward expression.

Colonel Suo Wei was so angered by Morgans’ words that he laughed, saying to Morgans.

“Dozens of mechs in one base, all sent for maintenance at the same time, do you even believe such nonsense yourself? Be honest! Where are the mechs?”

“Reporting, Sir, to ensure the garrison maintains optimal combat effectiveness and can respond to all sudden crises, all mechs have been sent for maintenance.”

    Morgans stubbornly retorted.

Colonel Suo Wei’s anger ignited instantly when he heard Morgans’ words. He roared at Morgans.

“Do you think I’m an idiot? Who maintains them like this…”

Seeing Colonel Suo Wei explode, Wu Feng’s heart instantly turned cold. This time, he was truly ruined.

Just as Colonel Suo Wei was angrily scolding Morgans, he suddenly heard a violent crashing sound from a distance. He immediately stopped and listened carefully to the sound.

    Clang, clang, clang ~

“This sound is of mechs in close-quarters combat. What exactly are you doing with the mechs?”

Colonel Suo Wei reacted immediately and asked furiously.

    “This…”

Morgans was a bit embarrassed when he realized he had been exposed.

“Speak quickly! If you can’t give me a satisfactory explanation today, do you believe I’ll strip you of your position!”

Colonel Suo Wei’s patience had reached its limit.

“Alright, I’ll tell you the truth. A few days ago, a teacher from Royal Court Academy came to us seeking our help. Their students lacked training mechs and hoped I could lend them mechs for training. Then I thought, since we’re all on the same side, I lent them the mechs.”

Morgans then stopped holding back and spilled everything in one go.

“You lent the garrison mechs for training? Are you out of your mind, or have you gone insane?!”

Colonel Suo Wei was almost driven to death by Morgans’ anger.

However, facing Colonel Suo Wei’s fury, Morgans remained unfazed, instead saying seriously.

“Sir, I couldn’t not lend them. I really couldn’t afford to offend that leading teacher.”

“Who is it?! Who has such a big face?”

“Oh, I dare not say. How about you go and see for yourself?”

“Let’s go, I want to see which teacher it is.”

Colonel Suo Wei walked towards the training ground, full of anger.

    “You’ve ruined me.”

Wu Feng cursed Morgans with a dark face and quickly followed Colonel Suo Wei.

Morgans, on the other hand, had an indifferent expression and slowly followed behind.

Soon, Colonel Suo Wei led everyone, angrily approaching the training area. They immediately saw Iron Guards engaged in close-quarters combat, while Mia was instructing these Iron Guards.

“Strike hard, aim for vital points, don’t treat them as your classmates, and don’t launch meaningless attacks, that will only leave you full of openings.”

The moment Colonel Suo Wei saw Mia, he immediately stopped in his tracks, his eyes wide open.

Wu Feng and the others were also stunned, their expressions filled with disbelief.

Colonel Suo Wei immediately turned and walked back, not forgetting to say to Morgans.

“Morgans, remember my words, just pretend I was never here today!”

    “Understood, Sir.”

Morgans was overjoyed in his heart. As much as he had been scolded just now, he felt equally good now. Damn it, it’s your turn now, isn’t it?

    “Go, hurry up and go!”

Colonel Suo Wei immediately quickened his pace to slip away.

“You’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you? I’ll settle the score with you later.”

Wu Feng pointed a finger at Morgans, said with a dark face, and then ran off.

“Tsk, your courage isn’t much greater than mine.”

    Morgans snorted and said.

    At dusk.

Su Ming piloted the Third Generation Mecha, Tyrant Tiger, towards the parking bay.

He precisely parked the mech in the designated spot, then shut down the mech’s power system, opened the cockpit, and climbed out.

After landing, Su Ming turned his head to look at the Tyrant Tiger mech. Although his personal preference leaned towards agile mechs, he had to admit that heavy mechs were also quite appealing.

Su Ming had grown somewhat fond of operating it during this period.

If he had ample funds, he would really want to acquire several more hangars to collect different types of mechs and switch between them daily; that would be incredibly satisfying.

However, Su Ming quickly suppressed this impractical idea. He couldn’t even afford a main mech right now, so he shouldn’t dream of buying a secondary one.

Su Ming sighed deeply and walked out after finishing his training.

Not long after, Su Ming arrived at the training ground’s open area, only to see Rhine and the others still piloting Iron Guard Mechs, engaging in combat training.

    “Huh? Where’s the teacher?”

Su Ming didn’t see Mia and immediately turned his head to look around.

He then found Mia squatting in a corner, doing something unknown.

Su Ming’s interest was piqued, so he walked towards Mia.

Soon, Su Ming reached Mia’s side, but Mia didn’t even notice him, still squatting there and continuously tapping on the interface projected from her wristband.

Su Ming lowered his head to look at the interface projected from Mia’s wristband, a hint of surprise flashing across his face.

Mia was furiously arguing with someone in a post on the Star Cluster Forum.
