Chapter Index

Soon after, Su Ming and the others followed Mia outside the school, where a fifty-seat bus was parked.

    “Get on the bus.”

Mia waved her hand simply and said.

“Teacher, we’re not training inside the school. Where are we going?”

Su Ming asked with some suspicion.

“Cough, cough, why ask so many questions? You’ll know when we get there.”

Mia coughed, her expression a bit unnatural as she spoke.

Just as Su Ming was about to press further, Rhein and the others impatiently pushed Su Ming onto the bus, saying,

“Class monitor, don’t ask so many questions. It’s not like the teacher would sell us, right?”

    “Alright.”

Su Ming could only give up asking.

Not long after, they all got on the bus, and the vehicle closed its doors and drove away along the road.

    An hour later.

Starlight City, K-District, Black Rock Military Storage Base.

A bus drove nearby and stopped.

    “We’re here, everyone off!”

Mia urged everyone to get off the bus.

Su Ming and the others got off the bus in a daze, curiously looking around. They had barely seen any figures on the way here.

They all suspected if they had driven to the outskirts of Starlight City.

    “Where are we?”

Zhang Yi and the others asked in confusion.

“You, you guys, look over there.”

At this moment, Anqi pointed her hand forward in panic and shouted.

Su Ming and the others were startled and looked in the direction Anqi was pointing.

About four hundred meters ahead, a colossal storage base was located, with towering, hundred-meter-tall cubic crystal buildings.

In front of the storage base’s main gate, ten Second Generation Mecha, Iron Guard, stood.

“Isn’t this the Black Rock Storage Base? It’s one of Starlight City’s important storage bases, right? What are we doing here? We might get arrested as illegal elements if we’re not careful.”

Rhein immediately reacted, saying in astonishment.

All the students instantly erupted into chatter.

Su Ming’s mouth also twitched. He should have realized it earlier; if Teacher Mia could be reliable, the sky would have fallen.

“What are you shouting for? Don’t you see I’m still here? What’s there to be afraid of?”

Mia said to Su Ming and the others, not caring in the slightest.

    Everyone immediately fell silent.

“Whew, Teacher, you’re not planning to have us train inside, are you? This is a military storage base. Will they let us in?”

    Su Ming sighed and said.

“Why not? You guys wait here.”

Mia then walked alone towards the main entrance of the Black Rock Storage Base.

Su Ming and the others watched nervously. They found that Mia walked to the main entrance, negotiated with the guards, and actually went inside.

    “Teacher went in!”

    “There’s hope!”

Rhein and the others said joyfully.

At this moment, inside the Black Rock Storage Base’s command room.

A middle-aged man in a major’s military uniform, with a two-pronged mustache and dark, rough skin, was leaning back in a reclining chair, sipping wine, and holding a small handful of peanuts.

    “Hum hum~”

He hummed a tune while tossing a peanut into his mouth, his face showing a very contented expression.

Just then, a hurried sound of footsteps came, followed by the door being violently pushed open with a bang. Then, a lean man in a captain’s military uniform shouted in extreme fear.

    “Something’s wrong, Lord Morgans!”

Major Morgans was startled, his hand trembled, and the peanuts in his hand fell to the ground.

He quickly got up from the reclining chair, squatted down to pick up the fallen peanuts, quickly blew on them, and put them in his mouth to eat.

After finishing, Morgans raised his head and angrily sprayed at his adjutant.

“Aksu, what’s wrong with you? This is a storage base; nothing has gone wrong here for hundreds of years. What could be wrong?”

Aksu was so nervous he couldn’t speak clearly.

“Damn it, why are you stuttering? Who exactly came that could scare you like this? Could it be a ghost?”

    Morgans scolded Aksu angrily.

Aksu was speechless. In his haste, he said to Morgans,

“Sir, why don’t you go out and see for yourself!”

“Hmph, even if my superior came, so what? I want to see which big shot has arrived.”

Morgans snorted and strode out the door.

As he walked out the door, he directly bumped into Mia.

“Hi! Morgans, long time no see.”

Mia greeted Morgans with a smile.

When Morgans saw Mia, his legs instantly went weak, and he directly knelt before Mia, stammering,

    “Mi, Lord Mia.”

“Oh, Morgans, what are you doing? I’m not your mother, you don’t need to perform such a grand salute! Or are you feeling guilty, are you doing something bad?”

    Mia asked with a smile.

    “No way.”

Morgans struggled to stand up, replying in a panic.

“Really? You’ve been drinking, still haven’t changed your ways!”

Mia leaned next to Morgans, sniffed his scent, and showed a mischievous smile.

Morgans instantly shuddered and quickly explained to Mia,

“I’m on vacation today, Aksu can testify.”

Aksu, upon hearing this, nodded his head like a pounding garlic.

“Alright, no need to explain. Is there any more? Shall we have a drink?”

    Mia asked with a smile.

“No, really, there’s no more. I just had insomnia and couldn’t sleep, so I drank just a tiny bit! Lord Mia, what brings you to us today?”

Morgans quickly changed the subject, not daring to drink with Mia.

“How boring. But I did come to you because I need your help.”

Mia said with a disappointed expression.

“Please tell us. As long as we can do it, we’ll definitely not say no.”

Morgans quickly asked. He just wanted to finish helping and get Mia to leave, then everything would be fine.

“Your garrison Mecha here are quite good. Can I borrow them for my students to practice with?”

    Mia said with a chuckle.

    “Ah?”

Morgans was instantly dumbfounded. Borrow their Mecha for students to practice?

    “Is there a problem?”

    Mia asked with a chuckle.

Morgans shook his head like a rattle drum and immediately replied,

“No problem, absolutely no problem! Aksu, I’ll leave this matter to you.”

    “Alright, alright.”

    Aksu replied nervously.

    “Oh, and one more thing.”

    Mia continued to speak.

Morgans’ heart instantly tightened again, and he said with a bitter smile and a plea,

“Lord Mia, I’m just a warehouse keeper. Please don’t make things difficult for me.”

“What’s there to panic about? I’m not going to eat you. It’s just that I want to borrow your Mecha too.”

    Mia said, pushing her luck.

    “Ah? My Mecha?”

Morgans’ eyes widened when he heard this.

    “Why not?”

Mia saw that Morgans was reluctant and then asked with a chuckle.

Morgans looked at Mia’s brilliant smile, his legs uncontrollably trembling, and he quickly said to Mia,

    “Yes, why not!”

“Good, it’s settled then. Let’s go!”

Mia directly finalized the matter, then turned to Aksu and said.

Aksu, with a bitter face, followed Mia out.
