Chapter Index

“Uh, teacher’s uniform, huh? You guys wait.”

Mia let out a small burp, then smiled and opened the bag she was carrying, pulling out a retro teacher’s uniform from inside.

Su Ming and the others were stunned when they saw the teacher’s uniform. Could this drunk woman really be their teacher?

Before anyone could react, the female teacher said she was going to put on the uniform.

    “Ah, Teacher!”

    “No, don’t change here!”

Everyone was shocked by her actions. Changing clothes in public like this would be outrageous!

“Hehe, don’t be so nervous. I’m just putting it on, not actually changing right here.”

Mia said, her eyes a bit hazy.

Su Ming and the others breathed a sigh of relief, their hearts truly couldn’t take it.

At this moment, Mia simply draped the teacher’s uniform over herself, then pulled out the roll call book, opened it, and drunkenly said, “Roll call now. Zhang Tie.”

The scene was silent; no one answered.

“Huh? Zhang Tie? Not here? The first one on the roll call isn’t here. Looks like I’m not late after all.”

    Mia said with a chuckle.

“Teacher, my name is Zhang Yi, not Zhang Tie!”

A slightly short man with some freckles and flaxen hair spoke up, sounding very helpless.

“Oh, Zhang Yi! My mistake, my mistake! Next one.”

Mia chuckled, picked up her pen, checked it off, and then looked at the next name.

However, as she looked at the names in the roll call book, they started to blur.

She shook her head and looked again, but still couldn’t see clearly. She then complained, “What the heck? These words have come alive; I can’t even see them clearly. Can someone help me with the roll call?”

As soon as she said this, all the students present were dumbfounded.

Su Ming also found it a bit much. He sighed slightly and then raised his right hand, saying, “Teacher, I’ll do it!”

Mia looked up at Su Ming and asked, “What’s your name?”

    “Su Ming.”

    Su Ming replied simply.

Mia chuckled and directly handed him the roll call book and pen.

“I’ll remember you. You do it.”

Su Ming took the roll call book and quickly began calling out names.

    “Rhine!”

    “Here!”

The blond young man suppressed his displeasure and replied in a deep voice.

    “Angie.”

Su Ming continued calling out names.

    “Here!”

At this moment, the quiet-looking girl with a melon-seed face responded.

    “Shi Wushan, Mandy…”

Su Ming quickly called out the names, soon going through all forty-nine students in the class.

After he finished, he handed the roll call book and pen back to Teacher Mia and said, “Teacher, I’m done with the roll call. Everyone is here!”

    “Well done!”

    Mia happily took them back.

At this point, Rhine, still suppressing his displeasure, asked Mia, “Teacher, everyone is here. What do we do next?”

“Of course, we go have fun!”

Mia seemed to hit an exciting point, raising her wine bottle and saying to everyone.

Su Ming’s face twitched slightly when he heard Mia’s words.

The students on site were even more flabbergasted, one by one exclaiming in surprise, “Go have fun? Aren’t we here to report in?”

“We just arrived to report in? Nothing has been explained yet.”

Mia seemed to sober up a bit as she heard the many incredulous questions from the students, and she chuckled, “Oh, oh, I forgot! It’s the start of school and report-in day, so we can’t go have fun.”

“I’ve had enough. I’m going to complain about you!”

Rhine finally couldn’t bear it anymore and stood up. The teachers in other classes were all very serious, professional, and normal.

How could they be so unlucky as to get stuck with a drunkard? It was truly unbearable.

When Mia heard Rhine say he was going to complain about her, she swayed over to Rhine, getting very close to him.

Rhine took a deep breath, staring directly at Mia without flinching.

    “Complain about what? No complaining!”

Mia picked up the roll call book and tapped Rhine’s head, replying very unreasonably.

    “You—”

Rhine didn’t know how to retort for a moment.

    “Come on, everyone follow me!”

Mia didn’t care what Rhine said, waving her hand as she spoke.

Su Ming and the others were also very helpless, but they could only follow Mia.

Mia led the group away from the waiting area, walking along the wide road ahead. She drunkenly said, “I won’t introduce the history and background of Royal Court Academy. I believe you’ve already heard it so much you don’t want to hear it anymore. If you really want to know, go to the library and look it up yourselves.”

After hearing Mia’s words, Su Ming and the others exchanged glances, their initial excitement cooling by more than half.

They had put in so much sweat and effort to get to their dream school. They were full of various fantasies and expectations for Royal Court Academy, but their teacher just said, “If you’re not interested, I won’t talk about it.”

However, Mia felt perfectly fine about herself. She continued speaking to Su Ming and the others, “I’ll tell you something interesting. Do you see the half-body statues erected on both sides of the road we’re walking on?”

    “We do.”

Su Ming and the others cooperatively replied.

“These are all former principals, but the carvings are so ugly, especially the one on the right. He looks so lewd, with shifty eyes; you can tell he’s not a good person at first glance.”

Mia was babbling and complaining to Su Ming and the others.

Su Ming and the others were all silenced; no one responded to Mia. These statues were all former principals of Royal Court Academy.

Which one wasn’t a historical figure? And the principal she was referring to had once served as the Federal Vice Council Speaker in history.

Mia didn’t notice the awkward silence at all; instead, she became more and more excited as she spoke.

“Look at that statue again, the big nose, the donkey-shaped face…”

At this moment, some passing senior students cast strange glances their way.

Rhine and the other students all lowered their heads, truly embarrassed.

Fortunately, not long after, Mia led them to a uniquely shaped building. The building’s exterior resembled a budding flower, constructed entirely of silver metal, gleaming under the sunlight. The front of the building also clearly displayed the words “No. 1 Comprehensive Building.”

At the base of the No. 1 Comprehensive Building, there were rows of tables with stacks of school uniforms in different sizes.

In front of these different sized uniforms stood teachers responsible for distribution, and beside them sat an old man with a stern expression and a slight hunchback.

In front of these teachers, there were also gate-shaped instruments.

Teachers from various departments had brought their students here. They had the students orderly walk through the gate-shaped instruments, which then provided precise height data and generated the corresponding uniform size.

Students who had been measured then went to find the teacher with their corresponding size to collect their school uniform, and then entered the changing rooms of the No. 1 Comprehensive Building to put on the Royal Court Academy uniform.

    “Hurry up.”

The slightly hunched old man stood up from his chair, overseeing the distribution of the uniforms.
