Chapter 95: City of Starlight (Sing a little love song for the leader) (20th update)
by SunflowerAt this moment, Qin Feng also said to Yu Wei,
“This person is very powerful. Even a New Human would find it difficult to run on the surface so easily. He is undergoing special training.”
“Mm, I think so too.”
Yu Wei agreed.
“Hi!”
“Handsome!”
At this time, many students in the carriage excitedly waved at the running man.
The running man also noticed the people in the train waving at him. Immediately, a brilliant smile appeared on his dark face, revealing his white teeth, and he waved back at everyone.
Su Ming found this scene quite interesting.
Just then, the broadcast sounded.
“Dear passengers, the train will soon arrive at Star City. Due to a temporary unexpected situation, we apologize for any inconvenience caused. On behalf of the Rail Department, I sincerely apologize to everyone and wish you a pleasant journey ahead.”
Upon hearing this, Su Ming leaned against the window and looked forward.
As the train sped forward, Su Ming witnessed a truly stunning sight.
In the center of the vast plain in the distance, a massive metal pillar stretched straight into the sky. The pillar’s surface was encased in a glass tube, and transparent membranes extended outwards from its top, making the entire structure resemble a transparent umbrella.
At the base of the umbrella was a giant bubble.
This giant bubble was surrounded by many smaller bubbles, and at its four corners were four large bubbles, second only in size to the central giant bubble.
The bubble in the upper-left corner housed numerous advanced academies, while the upper-right bubble contained Royal Court Academy. To the right of Royal Court Academy, there were facilities such as the academy’s exclusive Interstellar Airport and wilderness training grounds.
The lower-left bubble was the industrial zone, and the lower-right bubble was the cultivation zone.
As Star City grew closer, Su Ming found it very intriguing. The person who designed this city truly had an unconstrained imagination, and he looked forward to his future life even more.
Soon after, the high-speed train smoothly entered Star City and docked at the central station.
The carriage doors opened.
Su Ming stepped off the train, carrying his luggage, and looked around.
On the spacious and brightly lit platform, there was a dense crowd of passengers, and large holographic advertisements were projected all around.
Female staff members, dressed in uniforms, with beautiful appearances and outstanding temperaments, stood at each passage, smiling and guiding arriving passengers.
Just as Su Ming was a bit lost in thought, he heard some of the disembarking students complaining to their companions.
“Damn, is this Star City? I thought it would be more advanced! It’s not even as distinctive as Sky Dome City.”
“Alright, say less.”
“Tch, it made me happy for nothing.”
Su Ming smiled slightly. He didn’t know how Star City compared to Sky Dome City, but at least it was better than Thirteenth District.
Just as he was about to exit the station, his phone vibrated in his pocket. Su Ming took out his phone and looked down; a message popped up.
“Young Master, I am at Exit 7.”
“Okay!”
Su Ming sent a simple reply, then followed the station’s signs, pulling his luggage towards the exit.
“Su Ming, wait for me.”
At this moment, Gu Meng caught up, pulling her luggage.
Su Ming stopped and turned to look at Gu Meng, asking in confusion,
“Is something wrong?”
“No, I’m also going to exit the station. Let’s go together,” Gu Meng said with a smile.
“Gu Meng, slow down.”
At this time, Qi Shen and Liu Xiao also caught up. They said to Gu Meng,
“Why don’t you two hurry up? You’re so slow.”
Gu Meng said arrogantly to the two.
Qi Shen and Liu Xiao were helpless; they were already moving fast enough, but the main issue was the sheer number of people getting off the train.
“I’m exiting through Exit 7. Are you two as well?” Su Ming asked curiously.
Gu Meng was about to speak when Qi Shen, upon hearing that Su Ming was going to Exit 7 and it wasn’t on his way, immediately said with delight,
“No, we’re going to Exit 1! It’s the exact opposite of yours.”
“Then let’s part ways here. See you when there’s a chance.”
Su Ming politely said goodbye, then dragged his luggage towards Exit 7.
Gu Meng watched Su Ming’s departing back, wanting to reach out and call him, but the words caught in her throat. She couldn’t think of any excuse.
“Gu Meng, let’s hurry up. What delicious food do you want to eat later?” Qi Shen asked eagerly.
“Eat, eat! You eat by yourself!” Gu Meng angrily pulled her luggage and walked straight towards Exit 1.
“Wait for me.”
Qi Shen quickly caught up, pulling his suitcase.
Exit 7.
Su Ming dragged his suitcase, swiped his ID card, and walked out. As soon as he exited, he immediately saw Teacher Jiang waiting.
He quickly walked towards him, and Teacher Jiang also saw Su Ming, but he didn’t recognize him at first and was still looking into the crowd.
Su Ming smiled wryly, then walked up to Teacher Jiang and respectfully greeted him,
“Teacher Jiang.”
Teacher Jiang was slightly startled to hear Su Ming’s greeting. His gaze then fell on Su Ming, he looked at him carefully, and then said with immense surprise,
“Are you the Young Master?”
“Yes, Teacher!”
“After a year, you’ve become so thin. It’s truly unexpected.”
“Just exercising a bit, didn’t expect the results to be so good.”
“Being thinner is good. I almost didn’t recognize you. I thought you hadn’t exited the station yet.”
“I apologize, Teacher. Thank you for waiting so long. The train had some issues and was delayed,” Su Ming said apologetically.
“It’s alright. But why didn’t I see Young Master Su Yuan?” Teacher Jiang asked Su Ming with some surprise. Normally, Su Yuan should have accompanied him, but he hadn’t seen him exit the station.
“My father suddenly felt unwell yesterday and couldn’t accompany me,” Su Ming immediately explained on behalf of Su Yuan.
Teacher Jiang smiled slightly after hearing Su Ming’s words and replied,
“I understand, Young Master. You don’t need to explain further.”
How could he not know his own student’s temperament? This was clearly just an excuse because he didn’t dare to go home.
Su Ming said with a slight embarrassment,
“Okay, Teacher Jiang, you’ve been waiting for so long, you probably haven’t eaten yet. Let me treat you to a meal. What would you like to eat?”
“No need, Young Master.”
“How can you say no? I was able to get into Royal Court Academy thanks to your guidance, Teacher. Your student is truly grateful beyond words.”
“Young Master, while my teaching certainly played a part in your admission to Royal Court Academy, it was more so your own hard work. So there’s no need to be so polite. Furthermore, you don’t need to treat me to dinner; a banquet has been prepared at home, just waiting for you to return.” Teacher Jiang said to Su Ming with great satisfaction.
He genuinely liked Su Ming more and more as a student; not only was he intelligent, but he was also respectful, calm, and composed.
“Alright.”
Su Ming was also a little surprised that a banquet had been prepared at home.
“Young Master, let’s go. The car is parked in the underground parking lot.” Teacher Jiang then led Su Ming towards the underground parking lot.
