Chapter Index

Outside the courtyard, Su Ying frowned slightly as she looked at the Death Warriors whose feminine figures were outlined by their tight, fitted uniforms.

She took the envelope and tore it open. The moment Su Ying’s gaze landed on the last character, the envelope spontaneously combusted, instantly turning to ash.

“Pass down my saintess token command: Have the spies of the Black Hawk Hall, distributed across various sects and factions, spread the news that ‘A Secret Realm has opened in the Desolate Domain, containing countless Heaven And Earth Treasures.'”

As soon as Su Ying finished speaking, a woman silently vanished into the shadows to relay the command.

“Gan Tian’s punishment has ended. Check if he is dead. If he isn’t, tell Gan Tian that he has half a month! To recover from his injuries. Give him whatever Medicinal Pills he asks for.”

Another woman silently left Su Ying’s side.

“Summon Jiang Nongqin back to the sect.”

“Qingxin Hall, Black Spear Peak, Sound Feather Peak, and Soul Departure Peak—have them send their most core Geniuses! Form a team, and head immediately to the Desolate Domain.”

Command after command was issued, and the female attendants lurking around Su Ying all departed.

“You, take my Jade Pendant and inform the entire sect.”

Su Ying looked at the Death Warrior in front of her, her eyes slowly curving into what looked like a smile, yet it was chilling to the bone.

“Haven’t they always wanted to attack Zilin Holy Land while Jiang Yuerou is away? Tell them that I permit it.”

Concurrently, at the Tianji City Lords Manor.

Inside an independent courtyard, a young girl who was performing her daily cultivation suddenly opened her eyes.

In the girl’s eyes, Star Eyes flickered, resembling a flowing galaxy, and even Yin and Yang double fish swam left and right.

The girl’s eyes were beautiful, possessing an ethereal quality of dao rhyme, but if one stared too long, an unspeakable terror would arise in their heart.

It was as if you would see through the girl’s eyes into the deepest thoughts of your own heart.

Dark and terrifying—you would see your own future, frightful and horrifying.

It was as if the girl’s glazed eyes were a “Demon-Reflecting Mirror,” except that they exposed the deepest evil within your heart.

After three breaths, the strange brilliance in the girl’s eyes gradually subsided, replaced instead by panic and anxiety.

“Sister Qingshang… Sister Qingshang, you mustn’t go!”

The girl, who hadn’t even put on her embroidered shoes and was only wearing foot wraps, stepped off the bed and hurried toward the courtyard exit.

    “Young Miss!”

    “Young Miss, what happened?”

“Go report to the City Lord!”

Outside the courtyard, the maidservants responsible for the girl’s daily life stopped Wang Xing.

Tears streamed ceaselessly from Wang Xing’s innocent eyes, as the scene from moments ago continuously surfaced in the girl’s mind.

A man holding a long spear stood before Sister Qingshang. The man wore a strange mask, resembling an Asura, while Sister Qingshang clutched her chest, blood already spilling from the corner of her mouth.

That man held a long spear! The long spear carried the might of Heaven and Earth! Even the Great Dao trembled because of it!

Finally, the long spear in the man’s hand seemed poised to shatter Heaven and Earth as he hurled it toward Sister Qingshang!

“Sariputra, form does not differ from emptiness; emptiness does not differ from form. Form is emptiness; emptiness is form.

Sensation, conception, volition, and consciousness are also like this.

Sariputra, all dharmas are marked with emptiness: they are neither produced nor destroyed; neither defiled nor immaculate; neither increasing nor decreasing.

Therefore, in emptiness there is no form, no sensation, conception, volition, or consciousness; no eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, or mind; no form, sound, smell, taste, touch, or mental object.

No realm of vision, and so forth, up to no realm of consciousness; no ignorance, and also no cessation of ignorance.”

Inside the main temple of Bodhi Holy Land, three days constituted one cycle, and it was time for the Abbot to lead the chanting of Buddhist Sutras. The sound of the wooden fish and the Buddhist bell outside the main hall merged together.

Inside the great hall, the sound of everyone’s chanting was not loud, yet it spread throughout the entire Bodhi Holy Land.

At the very front of the Disciples, a young girl sat kneeling. Her three thousand black threads of hair reached past her heels. The girl held a wooden fish, striking it repeatedly, and the Buddhist Sutras flowed gently from her lotus-like mouth.

In front of the girl was the Abbot, and in front of the Abbot was a golden statue of the Tathagata Buddha. The Buddha statue watched with a smile, and behind the Disciples, Buddhist light faintly emerged.

Only behind the girl was the Buddhist light like the sun, so bright that even if all the monks closed their eyes, it was like staring directly into the white light of day.

“Bodhisattvas, relying on the Prajñāpāramitā, have no obstruction in their minds. Because there is no obstruction, they have no fear, and having passed far beyond confused imagination, they realize ultimate Nirvana. All Buddhas of the three periods rely on the Prajñāpāramitā.”

The chanting continued, and golden Buddhist Lotuses bloomed around the girl.

Like Kongming Lanterns, the Buddhist Lotuses slowly rose, passing through the eaves.

After half an incense stick of time, above the Holy Land, golden-yellow Buddhist Lotuses connected with each other by streams of golden light, and the Buddhist radiance illuminated all.

“All sentient beings can attain the Dao, their minds are the Buddha. Sariputra, you have vowed the Anuttara Samyak Sambodhi mind. If one attains the Anuttara Samyak Sambodhi mind, they know they have vowed the Anuttara Samyak Sambodhi mind.”

The lower volume of the Heart Sutra continued to be chanted, and the golden Buddhist Lotuses were budding, ready to bloom.

And at this moment, the girl at the very front of the Disciples slowly opened her eyes. In her eyes, there was neither stain nor dust.

The mallet used to strike the wooden fish in the girl’s hand had stopped, and the chanting from her lotus-like mouth had ceased.

    “Wang Chen, what is wrong?”

The Abbot Complete Tranquility in front stopped striking the wooden fish, opened his aged yet extremely benevolent eyes, and calmly looked at the dustless girl named Wang Chen. His tone held no blame, only a gentle inquiry.

    “Abbot Grandfather.”

The girl blinked repeatedly as she looked at Great Master Complete Tranquility. The chanting behind the girl continued, not stopping because of the conversation between the Senior Sister and the Abbot in front.

The girl’s ethereal voice merged with the sound of the chanting, without the slightest disharmony.

It was as if every word the girl spoke was still part of the chanting of Buddhist Sutras.

“Hmm?” Great Master Complete Tranquility nodded, awaiting his Disciple’s words.

“Wang Chen wishes to go somewhere, and requests Abbot Grandfather’s permission.”

“You want to see him?” Complete Tranquility asked.

“Yes.” Wang Chen nodded. “He will go there, so Wang Chen also wants to go there.”

“Wang Chen, this trip is to stop Blood Shadow Cliff. If you succeed, you might become the Buddhist Maiden of Bodhi Continent. If you miss this chance, it might be difficult again, and the Buddhist Son of Wuyin Temple will become the Buddhist Son of Ten Thousand Buddhas Continent.”

“Wang Chen does not want to be a Buddhist Maiden,” the girl said calmly.

Abbot Complete Tranquility shook his head: “Bodhi Holy Land does not seek the empty title of Buddhist Maiden, but rather, if you step into the Holy Buddha Realm in the future, the Luck of Ten Thousand Buddhas Continent can assist you.”

“Wang Chen does not want the Holy Buddha Realm.”

    “Then what do you want?”

“Wang Chen. Only to see Big Brother Lin.”

Complete Tranquility smiled: “Lin Xun and the Buddha, which is lighter and which is heavier in your heart?”

    “Why does Abbot Grandfather ask?”

    “Hmm?”

“Big Brother Lin is Wang Chen’s Buddha.”

Inside the Buddhist Hall, the girl’s eyes curved in a smile.

Above the Buddhist Temple, thousands of Buddhist Lotuses all bloomed… 【LX = Lin Xun. Sometimes LX might be written as Li Xin. The Author has a female colleague named Li Xin (covers face), so if there’s a mistake, please point it out, and the Author will correct it promptly~】

【Sometimes “Lin Pei” is written as “Lin Xun.” I trouble all Great Master friends to point it out as well~~~ The Author is confused (dogeza)】

【I have some matters today, so there is only one chapter for now. I’ll see if I can write more tomorrow…】
